One word - honest.

I'm no interior designer and my first home was a testament to it. I had painted each room with different colors and it took me nearly a decade to realize it looks like a funhouse inside. I knew a needed a professional to advise and handle the repaint.

I got bids from several great businesses and the estimators were timely and showed up in a polo shirt. Susanna arrived in an older car and close covered in dried paint. As I described what I was looking for she had a smile on her face and said, oh yeah we can do that, this is going to be a fun house to paint. On top of that, her bid came in lower than the competitors.

She and her team were punctual, completed the interior paint project in their estimated timeline, and cleaned up without a trace. I hired them again to do the exterior and they recommendations made the house look like the best one on the block.

I'll continue to go to them for my painting needs.

Very disappointed that I was unable to see some of Chromatic's work that is raved about on Yelp. Like other reviewers, we had a lovely conversation with Susanna and were promised a quote that never arrived. My husband tried to follow up via phone and text, but received no response aside from the sound of crickets.

Honestly, if you're going to operate a small, independent business, you still need to have customer service skills and integrity. Buying a home and requiring a full interior and exterior paint job is pretty significant, and now that we have hired another company for close to 10k, Chromatic lost out. I'm not sure what the issue is with the lack of integrity, but it's disappointing because Susanna's work looks incredible from the photos on yelp. We are bummed we did not have the chance to see her work. Save your time and look to other five-star painting companies that respond promptly and provide much more professionalism.

When we bought the house 5-years ago the interior had a fresh coat of cheap, flat paint. Looked great when we bought it but quickly looked filthy and couldn't be washed.  

We hired Susanna and her crew to paint the interior of our home.  She did an absolutely amazing job. I could tell from the moment we met her that she cared about the quality of her work. She and her crew were meticulous and careful throughout the job. On the final day of the job they cleaned thoroughly and did touch up. Sussanna made sure there wasn't an errant drop of paint to be found or an inch of wall space missed. She made sure everything blended perfectly. Her work was perfect.

Her price was VERY reasonable for what we got and I couldn't have asked for better quality work. It's like we've moved into a new home. I would hire her again in a heartbeat without even considering other options.

Fake reviews?! I'm shocked at the way this company wasted my time last week. I wouldn't trust them to paint my house based on my experience. I understand businesses get busy but there's no excuse for this.

They missed the first 8am appointment because the contact slept in. Then after pleading to make it up, I agreed to meet later that day after rearranging my afternoon. We agreed to meet at 3pm, and I was waiting at 3pm. She showed up at 3:45 blaming traffic, when she really left when I texted her at 3:05pm wondering if she was really coming.

We went over the project and I was promised a bid that evening. Crickets. No email, no contact. No response to texts or calls this whole week. Half a day wasted because I was trying to spend x thousand to repaint my home.

This was the third time Susanna and crew have painted for us.  Almost 5k sq ft in my house and 3.7k in my sons new place.  All interior.  Cut lines laser straight, work clean, and clean-up tidy.

Nice to have painters We can count on.

We used Chromatic Painting when we moved across the country to our new house in Arizona. We worked with Susanna who was great and quoted us a reasonable price. We first did the walls only because we thought the trim, shutters and doors were acceptable. That was until we saw the new paint color against them. It made the gray look really blue. We decided to get the trim, shutters and doors done, but we're on a tight schedule due to our move-in date. Susanna was awesome and along with her crew, got the job done. I was blown away by the customer service and turnout. They did an excellent job! Susanna even offered to comeback and do any touch ups once the movers were gone. We highly recommend this company and we would definitely use them again!

Chromatic painted the entire interior of my home, from baseboards to ceiling, as well as the cabinets, and did a great job. The owner was on site everyday both leading the crew and working. I'm going to have Chromatic paint the exterior too. Highly recommend.

Susanna and crew exceeded every expectation that we had in terms of time, price and quality.  We closed the sale on a 50 year old home in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve and called Susanna to see if she was interested in putting in a bid to repaint the interior before we moved in.  She was onsite a few hours later and we talked through all that we wanted to get done.  That evening I had a written quote in my hand.  

The crew was able to start a couple of days later - and to my mind, had their work cut out for them.  They started on a Wednesday, and we needed wallpaper removed in multiple rooms; all of the ceilings had new drywall so they had to be primed before painting; we had tasked them with painting every inch of the interior - walls, trim, ceilings, closets, pantry, and we asked for more than one color to be used.  To top it off, we told them we needed to move in on Monday - 5 days later.  No sweat, we'll get it done.  That was the answer.  

Well, they finished on Saturday night, and it was near perfect.  When we did the walkthrough together on Sunday the touch up work amount to about 15 minutes total.   They'll be back to paint the exterior when we're ready for that.  

Unlike previous painters I've had, they didn't need a babysitter and I didn't have to keep going back asking them to fix things or paint over spots they missed.  We got an estimate, they showed up on the start date, finished on time and never once did we have to ask them to go back and fix something.  The crew absolutely killed it with this job and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Susanna Rivas of Chromatic Painting just finished this mural for us. Susanna, Lizzie and the rest of the crew painted our house along with this mural. They were great. Our house looks fabulous and we are over the moon!!!

The price was right: 3K to paint the entire interior of my 2500 square foot home, including the ceilings, stair banisters and several cabinets. Friendly owner.

My only complaint: the crew was a bit messy when removing the protective plastic drop clothes from everything. They got spray paint dust everywhere.

We could not have been happier Chromatic Painting. Susanna and her crew were punctual, skilled and efficient and I absolutely love the work they did in our house.

Susanna came to my house to look over what we wanted done and she had an estimate to me quickly thereafter. She was able to start within a few days and made sure that she had all the right colors.  Everything looks just amazing.  I have already recommended them to several friends.

I am soooo very happy with Susanna and her crew!!  I had them on a little time crunch and not only did they finish on time but they finished a day early!  My house looks amazing!  They are all wonderful and Susanna communicates when needed and is always there to answer any questions.  She also said she would come back out and fix any touch ups after the movers came!  Amazing job and this is more than a 5 star rating!! This is a long overdue review of the project that Chromatic did for us.  We had two of our bedrooms repainted and they did a fantastic job and my family was very happy with the results.  My daughter even cried with joy when she got back home and saw what we had done to her room.

They aptly worked around two other projects that were going on at the same time.

My only criticism was in communications.  They did not respond as well as I would have liked to follow up phone calls or emails.  However, they immediately responded to texts, and once I figured that out I had no problems with status updates or getting in touch with them.

Susanna and her crew did a great job painting my new townhouse. They were quick and reasonably priced. On top of painting the walls, they did an amazing job of painting faux wood beams!

Well........Susanna came to my house to give me a bid to paint the inside of my house.  She was wearing a mask and seemed to be a very nice person.  Susanna told me she would email me my bid within the next few days.  Well, this was a few months ago, never heard from her again, so I hired someone else.

Cleanest painters I've ever seen. They arrived on time completed job prior to estimated time allotted and were more affordable then any other outfit in Phoenix. 11 out of 10 's hehe. They went above and beyond. I'll never use another company other then chromatic painting as it's just that good clean and fare. Give them a try if u need large or small work done. Suzanna is a joy to deal w and really honest and reliable. I can't say enough. Thank thank you.
   (My last painting crew not chromatic at all left a mess stole items and didn't finish job and wouldn't come back to finish once they received full payment. My fault for paying ahead of time. Also chromatic just requires a decent down payment for supplies and workers but will allow remainder upon completion of job and they do a nice walk through to make sure the customer is satisfied.

We have had Susanna and her team paint a couple of small rooms for us over the past 3 years to get ready for our baby nursery rooms. Chromatic Painting folks are super friendly, quick and clean. Susanna is straight down to business. Honest and consistent with her quotes and pricing. They prep everything to the max from the Floors all the way from entry of the house to the back bedroom they worked on..., plantation shutters, doors, baseboards, removed electrical plates and switch plates. Superb. The workmanship is top notch--the lines are clean with no over spray...and I am super picky. Susanna exhibits outstanding attention to detail. They clean up when they are done. They go out of their way to be flexible with schedule and grabbing our paint on the way over at a discounted rate from what we would have paid in store. They offered to come back and fix any touch ups if we saw any missed areas or areas that needed an extra coat but honestly it was perfect the first time on both jobs they've done for us. We look forward to hiring Chromatic Painting some day to do a larger job...maybe the exterior of our house or an entire repaint of our living areas. Thanks again Susanna for taking the time out of your schedule to fit the small stuff in. You made life so much easier on us and the price was right too.

I actually had these folks do a lot of work at my house last summer. Popcorn removal, exterior painting, baseboards, etc. They did fantastic work and of all the folks I used, were towards the top with communication/timeliness/etc. I just somehow blanked on reviewing them at the time. The only reason I even remembered is when I came back to get their information to get a quote for more work in my garage. So obviously, I would be happy to use them again, which is probably the best review one can give.

Susanna  and her team just completed painting our living, dinning, kirchen, and family rooms.  Price was right, results great, and she kept us aware of all arrival, and departures.  Nice to have open communications.
Looking forward to our next project.

This review is based only on customer service and communication and not the painting job. I've requested a quote before Thanksgiving, was contacted by Susanna same day & agreed on the day that worked for both of us for her to come out and do an estimate. About half an hour before the appointment time she called to say she couldn't make it and we rescheduled to the next day. Well, she never showed up nor called me...Needless to say, I found another company that took care of our painting project in a timely manner.

Suzanna and her helper did a great job painting my ceilings. They masked off everything carefully and cleaned up after themselves when done. Would recommend using them!

Just had recessed lighting put into the kitchen and this crew came back through and repainted the ceiling. They were fast, affordable and friendly. Will definitely use them again for other painting needs.

This is a delayed review... but better late than never.  I used Chromatic Painting to remove the popcorn ceiling and repaint my new home.  They did a fantastic job and their pricing was very competitive!!  I have referred them to multiple people and will continue to do so.  Thanks guys!!!,.

Having been recommended by a friend, I contacted Susanna and Aaron to give a professional touch and finish the work I had started and abandoned due to needing a much cleaner look for a mid century modern home. They worked with three bold colors of my choosing and did an outstanding job. Clean lines all throughout and added some touches that actually worked amazingly well! I'm very happy with their service. They were quick, courteous, very professional  and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family and use their service again in the future.

Aaron and Susanna are extremely nice people and easy to work with.  It only took them a day and a half to finish the job and we were impressed at how precise they were -- There weren't any mistakes!  They transformed our little 1920's house from an ugly beige color to bright orange-ish pink and green colors.  We are so happy!  I highly recommend them!

We hired Chromatic Painting to paint the exterior of our 1920's bungalow and shed.  Susanna and Aaron did a great job of ensuring the historic building was cleaned and prepped without damaging any unique features.  They were even able to make appropriate carpentry repairs before repainting the entire house.  The detail work on the original windows was done neatly and the overall job renewed the entire aesthetic of the house without any loss in detail.  

Susanna and Aaron are a pleasure to work with - prompt, professional, and helpful.  They got the job done on time and without gouging us on the price like many of the contractors who only paint stucco tract homes would do.  We will definitely use them again for any future painting projects.

Susanna and her crew(Juan, Tabitha, and Ryan)were awesome!  Excellent pricing, service, and attention to detail.  They painted the interior of our Fountain Hills, AZ home(walls, ceilings, closets, baseboards, doors).  Started when they said they would and completed the job on time.  They took great pride in their work and it showed in the finished product.  They were very careful in their prep work and very thorough in their clean up.  We would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again for other painting needs.

I called Susanna to have her come look at our home and give us an estimate (almost 2k sf) the Friday before Christmas. The following Tuesday, the interior of my house was completely painted. Tuesday morning, I was off to work and when I returned from work that same day, they were cleaning up! Not only were they extremely fast but their work was clean, amazing and affordable.
To be honest, I was almost in shock when I came home. I couldn't believe that work that good, could be done that fast. On top of it all, I really enjoyed talking to them. Pleasant, hard workers whom I will call again the second I need ANYTHING else painted.

Susanna was a delight from start to finish. Within 48 hours of my initial call, I had a bid slightly lower than the others. She and her team started two days ahead of schedule and finished when promised. The quality was outstanding, with crisp lines and a flawless finish. The cleanup was very thorough. Susanna even offered to return after my move was completed to touch up any dings or marks caused by the movers. I definitely recommend Chromatic Painting for your painting project.

Susanna and her team did a great job on a room I'd needed to paint for years. The process was painless (well apart from having to clear space so they could paint). When I called Susanna, we talked about the space what I needed done, she gave me an estimate, I felt it was fair so we picked a date. She called ahead to confirm a couple of days ahead, and showed on time. Job was completed quickly and well with little fuss and no mess. Highly recommend.

Susanna and her team were prompt, friendly and did an excellent job.  They were able to squeeze us, which will allow us to move into our new home sooner!  Also they were reasonably priced and easy to work with. The room they painted looks great and they left the place clean with paint only where it belonged: on the walls!

We reached out to Chromatic based on the reviews on Yelp.  They responded to our inquiry promptly that same day and Susanna came to our house to do an intake the following day.  Susanna was professional, polite and patient; she provided a written quote that same evening.  It took the team 3 days to complete painting about 1400 sf. They had a great attention to detail, were clean and careful working around the house and had a fantastic crew.  Once they wrapped up they asked us to take a couple days to look everything over and let them know if touch ups were necessary.  Professional, polite and fair bids - use Chromatic!

Susanna was 30 minutes late for our home exterior estimate appointment, with no apology. She spent 10 minutes with me and rushed away. I have waited a week and still have not received an estimate. She obviously does not want a new client so I'll look elsewhere. Too bad, there are many other painting contractors that actually WANT work.

Aaron and his team from Chromatic Painting did an awesome job painting the entire interior of our home. It looks fantastic! We also had them remove some old popcorn paint on the garage ceiling then paint everything as well as epoxy the floor.  My husband and I were very pleased with the results. Great attention to detail!

Aaron and his crew are excellent at what they do. He came over gave a fair bid and then worked with me on the price a bit. He helped my fiance and the children pick their colors by painting the samples on the wall. It now looks fantastic in our new house with a different color paint. The kids are happy with the colors in there rooms. He is also fast and finished the job on a 2100 sq ft home in three days even after we expanded the scope of work to include the cabinets which by the way look amazing. Couldn't be happier with the work done at my home. They got it done in record time and Susanna was awesome to work with. Had to do some schedule changing due to the closing date and they worked around it no problem. I would recommend then to anyone and everyone.

My husband and I recently moved into a new home and the wall color was ATROCIOUS! So we had several companies come in and bid the job to repaint the ceilings, walls, trim, and doors.  We had a couple timing hang ups like getting quotes a week before getting the keys and moving all of our stuff in 3 days after, so we had half expected not a single company having the availability to even paint the house.  The first two companies had an outrageous bid and we were feeling a little hopeless to have to spend way too much money to paint the house or live with the horrid color.  When Susanna and her team came to look at the house I was immediately pleased that they were covered in paint - because that meant she had first hand experience - unlike the other companies sending sales people out that have probably never picked up a paint brush.  Chromatic Painting came in at the right price, the availability, and a great attitude about the project so they were the obvious choice.  The team showed up on time (and early like we wanted) and got right to work.  It took roughly a day and a half to complete the job (2100 sqft), and the work was IMPECCABLE!!!  They even came out a few days later to touch up dings in the paint that the movers had made!  I HIGHLY recommend Chromatic Painting.  They were very professional, accommodating, speedy, and excellent at what they do.

I had my home painted by Aaron, Susanna, and their crew.  They showed up on time and finished the job in just two days.  They made sure all my furniture was completely covered and cleaned up everything when they left.  They did such a great job that I hired them to do my rental house the next week. I can't say enough good things about this company!  I e mailed on a Saturday and Susana got back to me in a couple of hours,  She came out the next day on a Sunday to do an estimate.  She was on time and took measurements and I had my quote in writing by that evening. A very fair price for the work I wanted done. I had another quote that was almost twice what Susana quoted me.  With that and the good reviews here on yelp I decided to go with Chromatic.  She came back out the next week and we decided on colors and a time.  She was very helpful in choosing the colors.  Susana and her crew arrived on time and got to work.  They finished up all the painting in one day and it looks amazing!  She came back the next day to do one more coat of paint on my baseboards and she did some touch ups.  They did such a great job I had her do an estimate for the rest of my house along with the outside! She wanted to make sure I was happy with everything that was done. I have been recommending them to everyone I know!
