HISTORY

Established in 2005.
We handle both small and large handyman projects and are happy to come out and provide a free estimate. Billie Grace, owner, has been a handyman since 1985. We believe that treating our customers well will help to create a longstanding relationship built on trust and quality work. Our clients enjoy working with us as we are happy, have a strong work ethic, and are above all honest. Once you meet with us, you will see why our customers choose us over the competitor. We still have many of our first customer still hiring us on regular basis to handle their handyman needs. Billie is a wonderful character to work with and extremely knowledgeable with her work. She was recommended to me by my realtor and responded promptly to my service inquiry. Our agreement was that I would provide the materials and would pay Billie on a cost per hour basis. Throughout the process Billie was very communicative and let me know of how things were progressing throughout the project.

She was tasked with renovating my hall and master bathroom vanities with associated electrical, plumbing, and mirror work. (a couple of the pictures on Yelp are pictures of the completed work) Our first issue came as the existing wood floors did not continue underneath the bathroom vanities. In order to complete the work, we had to add additional flooring to the project. I expanded Billie's scope of work to include the installation of tile for the entirety of the bathrooms. Billie meticulously set the tile and insured that the tile layout was not only level, but had precise 1/4" joints between the tiles. Her workmanship was fabulous. She had to get a little inventive with the plumbing to make sure that the vanities worked, but besides that, the remainder of the project proceeded like clockwork.

Billie was also helpful in reattaching my electrical service panel back to the home. This project was additional labor in addition to the bathroom renovations. Billie was very responsive and flexible with her schedule to allow for meeting with the SRP representatives, getting the service panel reattached, and then meeting with SRP again to make sure that the work passed inspection.

I would definitely work with Billie again.

I called billie's services to get a quote! I have never seen or talked to such an unprofessional person in my life. She did not want to hear anything! The conversation went in a totally different direction. Her tone is soo rude. I think she is some CON artist! I am so glad i did not have them come over to do any work!

I hate leaving bad reviews but I would be doing a disservice if I didn't on this one.

Billie agreed to sand and paint my front door and paint one accent wall in my bedroom (not a huge job) and my experience with her was a nightmare. She worked outside of her scope - didn't know what she was doing, bitched about it the whole time, took twice as long, kept asking me to come outside and help her move the door while I was at home working. Talked my ear off about personal stuff. The whole job came out horrible, she promised me all kinds of things to Make up for it, including a brand new door, but then took that back, then a partial refund. Instead of that, I asked her to paint a console table or repaint the wall that I was not happy with (long story). She said she would but didn't do any of that, nothing she said she was going to, rescheduled or cancelled on me 4 or 5 times, did a crappy job AND had the audacity to speak to me in a VERY UNPROFESSIONAL MANNER at the end when I asked her to just give me the refund she offered and I would find someone else to do it. She refused and so it looks like I'm going to have to do it myself.

I also tried to refer her business (before she did mine)- she looked at and quoted my friend for a similar job and then canceled on her too.

Please don't waste your time. She is not good - calls herself a handyman but then has a laundry list of things she can't or won't do. Painting is NOT one of those, mind you. She "loves to paint" (her words) and that is what my experience was with something she supposedly loves to do!

Our house is in South Mountain area of Phoenix. Our kitchen faucet broke on December 27, 2018 It just broke off of its base. This was just before New Years Weekend.
I called around and got quotes and scheduling for the next week, but I did not want to wait so I kept calling.
I found Billie via her reviews here at Yelp.
Of course like everybody else she was busy . . . . BUT the difference was that she agreed to come early Saturday morning. She showed up on time at 7:30 AM, and she got the job done with no problems, and for a bit less than the other quotes I had been given.
The most important thing was not that she saved us a a few dollars, but that she came on a Saturday, on a Holiday Weekend, and arrived when she said she would and got the job done.
And she gave us a working kitchen for the long weekend.

Billie is awesome. We had a few unexpected home improvement projects come up last week (a medicine cabinet door fell off, and our electric panel door needed to be totally rebuilt), and we really wanted both done before Thanksgiving. Billie came over a few hours after I called and took care of everything that day. She does fantastic work and just seems like a wonderful person. We can't recommend her and her work enough.

Billie answered my quote request in a matter of minutes and was at my house within the hour to give me a free estimate. She laid out all of the costs up front and was very fair on the final pricing. She communicated exactly what she was going to do and helped explain the cause of the problem and how to prevent it from happening again. She was very friendly, organized, and eager to fix the problem. Would definitely hire her again for future work.

Call. Billie to fix a running toilet and help install some filters and a reverse osmosis system. Billie called right away after I inquired on yelp. She came by that day like that it gave me a quote and came back the next day and everything was fixed. Also helped refer me to someone for my pool. I was very happy with Billie and will definitely use her again

I had a friend who said he could put in a ceiling fan with lights, he couldn't. I called Billie and she came out that day got the new fan installed and running better than the old one ever did. Next day I was changing a lightbulb in the kitchen when I heard a pop, checked the breaker, changed the bulbs, nothing. Called Billie and she came right over fixed everything quickly. Her prices are very far and her work is great, do yourself a favor and hire Billie.

Billie responded within one hour. She evaluated the project, made a reasonable quote and started work immediately. We both went to the home Depot and brought the bathroom vanity and associated perifrials. Upon old vanity discovered there was no floor tile. She retired the area, installed the vanity and did custom work. Perfect job for shed in two days with minimum disruptions. I highly recommend Billie for any kind of handyman work.

By far one of the hardest working and most efficient women I have ever seen in the industry. She was timely, personable and a joy to work with. Confronted with a very difficult job, she completed the work and I literally had hot water within 30 minutes of her leaving the job. I had called around and no one willing to take on my job. I called Billie and what a blessing I have found my handy person for life. She is an Awesome down to earth person, Good Old fashion customer service and with great experience and knowledge.What surprise me the most was that she called me back in less then 30 mins, came over the next day and called to lets us she would be arrive in 10 mins right on time. I was looking for a handyman to do some work in my house, I saw Billies Handyman on Yelp, read the reviews and decided to give her a call. She told me she was very busy and could come out in a couple of day. Got a telephone call from Billie on Sunday afternoon, she said she was in the area and could stop by. She came out, we told her what we needed done through out the house but our biggest project was tiling the backslash in the kitchen. She said it would be later in the week as she was busy on another project, so we agreed to have her do the the project, she called on Tuesday said she was available on Wednesday. She and her tile guy arrived right on schedule and did the tile job. They were completely done by 3 PM, everything was cleaned up and the tile looked great. Billies prices were very reasonable. We will be using Billie again on the other project. Highly recommend Billies Handyman Service.

Billie is just flat-out amazing ! I couldn't get over how fast and how thorough they was able to deal with my stacked washer and dryer. It was like absolutely nothing to them. Theyre extremely knowledgeable , extremely Pleasant and extremely efficient. It's really amazing watching them work. You don't know speed of taking a gadget apart and putting it back together until you had them come and work for you. I didn't have time to take my dog out for a walk and bring her back in before the job which was I thought a pretty complex one was finished and they were out of here like a shot. The other thing I am extremely grateful for is that I called yesterday and they were here today. I thought I would be languishing for days before I was able to get this dealt with but I called late yesterday afternoon and they were here at 7:30 this morning and had this completely knocked out before 8. Speaking of knocked out I am as knocked out as I can be by the speed the quality the efficiency the knowledge ability and the professionalism seen here today. I will never call anyone but billies in the future !

Billie continues to belittle me and judge me blaming me for her behavior. I am sure her work is very good, but the message she wrote me is terrible. She preaches her faith while judging me just because I called Obama a name. She intentionally began preaching to me religiously and politically putting me in a very vulnerable state, and as soon as I did not agree with her I was spit out. Not nice. Just be cautious of her deceit.

I hired Billie's Handyman Services to do miscellaneous repairs and interior painting for my Phoenix rental house in late June and was thrilled with Billie's professionalism, attention to detail and can-do attitude. Her prices were very fair and she kept me in the loop every day with the status of the punch list. Before starting her own business Billie worked at Sears for many years and carries over the professionalism she learned on the job. The customer truly comes first for her! I only wish I would've met her years ago to spare me from all the crazy, unreliable contractors I've used in the past. Billie's at the top of my list for any future projects! -- Sue
