Southport Heating, Plumbing & Geothermal was formed in 2005 by 5 partners with 90 years combined contracting and engineering experience. The company was developed to provide HVAC, Plumbing, & Fire Protection services and design to home owners, architects, building owners, and developers.

I needed to get my boiler cleaned, Southport came out quickly and did a meticulous job cleaning up the soot in my furnace and checking for CO emissions.  If I have other problems, I wouldn't hesitate to call them back.

Southport did an excellent job installing a new water heater and furnace/air conditioning unit in our condo.

We appreciated their expertise, knowledge  and recommendations, which were superior to the other bids submitted. They were able to install the water heater unlike the other HVAC bidders, where I had to contract another company to install and coordinated the timing for the water heater as it is located in front of the furnace. They were that one stop shop!

Southport's employees were professional, knowledgeable and well mannered. I felt safe, respected and a valued customer.

I highly recommend this company for your HVAC and water heating needs!

Awful service. I called these guys after I purchased a HUD property. We couldn't turn on our water until we closed. Anyway, the guys came over turned on the water, it was leaking from the ceiling, obviously needed to change the water pipes. They said they would come back to fix them, left my main water line running, which I didn't realize until later. That cost was 184.00. Then they came back to repair the leaky pipes because we were in dire need to have our water on; which they put copper pipes to repair, that cost was 450.00. We still had no water pressure after that or running water. I had another plumber in here after that, they didn't understand why they just didn't replace the pipes with pex. I asked Southport that, and they said they don't carry that in the van and they were only trying to repair the leaks at the time, not replace them because it was an emergency situation. I ended up getting a quote for them to replace the pipes and they said they would use pex, at that time, which was a very expensive. We were new homeowners, didn't know much about anything, at that time. They were nickel and dimming us. We did get the pipes replaced for half the price that they quoted. Also, I thought it was interesting that the guy, his name was Justin, said we needed to replace the water heater because it was too tall for the pitch, which I later found out the water heater was brand new, and the only thing that was actually functioning properly. We didn't need a new water heater, we found someone to just pitch it properly. Waste of money and time. I called and complained and didn't get anywhere. Call this place if you're looking for dishonesty and shit work! Also, the fact that they left my water running, I had to replace the sewer pipe in my basement because of the constant water that was dripping and seeping on the basement ground. We had to replace the concrete and a piece of pipe!! It was a big mistake to call them; it ended costing me more money. AVOID THIS PLACE!

My AC unit is the original unit and Nathan Simons from Southport  came out, gave me an estimate for two different units, answered all my questions & concerns & explained the installation process.  Very professional & helpful.  Would recommend him and Southport.

The service is terrible. I scheduled an appointment three weeks ago for routine maintenance on my heating units. I got a call this morning that said that they're too busy to come to my house for the scheduled appointment and that they can come next week.   NOT ACCEPTABLE!  That was the last straw after a terrible experience with them installing our two new heaters.  They improperly hooked up our April Aire and we had a flood as a result.  One of our new AC units had multiple call backs because of a faulty compressor that had to be replaced.  This was under warranty but of course we had to pay for the labor.   Too many problems with Southport.  I would NOT recommend them for any reason.

I use this business because they have come through for me prior to my experience of 40 below weather & the furnace going out.  They stepped it up & installed it.  They have always been there for me.  The best is that I trust these nice, respectful, gentlemen that enter my house.  They are truly quality employees that make me feel comfortable. They even have a lot of patience with my annoying dogs.  Thank you Southport for being there for me & having quality employees!

I was quoted a 10am to 1pm time. Guy shows up at 3:45. After I say, uhh you're a little late aye, he replies, the office should've called you and told you I wouldn't be here til 3:30....even if that was the case, the tech still showed up late. Stayed no more than 10 minutes. Asked me if I knew how to work the heater or where the instruction manual was. The quote that was provided was way over retail prices; I could have bought 4 water heaters at Menards for the same price quoted, even accounting for labor it doest make sense.

I had them replace my furnace after 2nd breakdown in 3 months.   They did it on Dec 31, the day after I contacted them.    They were here till 7pm to make sure I was happy.  It's a 95% efficient one with wifi.    Works great, heats house faster than old furnace and I got $300 in rebates.

Later I had gas leaks.    It was not their furnace work but the initial gas pipe installs that were bad- loose, complex joints with no dope on threads.    They replaced the whole furnace water heater dryer runs that WEenergy identified as leaking and THEN they found another leak upstream of those- they stayed till after 9pm on a Friday for no extra charge to fix this previously undiscovered leak. Iron pipe is a pain to fix I learned.  Their tech, Buck, did a wonderful job.   All is now well.

I had considered contacting the plumbing or heating contractors that built my Walnut Grove home but I quickly discounted that.

I highly recommend Southport Home Services for your HVAC needs. I hired them to put a new heating/ac system into my 50+ year old home that has not ductwork/furnace/central AC.

They are a pleasure to work with from the initial consult through the installation. The sales rep was very knowledgable about my options and I ultimately went with a heat pump setup for heating and AC.

The installation team was awesome. They arrived on time, worked very hard, were courteous, and actually left part of my home cleaner than when they arrived! The new system is just starting up as I type, will add to my review in a few days after I experience the improvement in my home's 'climate'.

Had them install a $5,000 furnace.Gino was very professional until after I paid cash.His technicians leaved my house filthy with joint compound I can't remove. Also, Gino gave me a rebate form that is now expired.Have tried to call him repeatedly to which he has not responded.Unethical business practices, and would definitely not recommend anyone to spend their hard working dollar for a company that is unethical in follow up customer satisfaction!

Southport fixed a leaking shower head that we had in our house.  We had been frustrated with the large windows of arrival times that other plumbers typically give (basically like you have to give up your entire day waiting), but Southport gave us a 2hr window that they would arrive in.  They called before arrival and gave an ETA which I thought was a nice touch.

Tom at Southport was awesome!  He did a great job of explaining, and showing what the problem was.  Awesome guy, very knowledgeable and good at what he does.  They even had a $50 off coupon on their website that we could use, so the whole process was VERY reasonable.

Being new to the area we relied heavily on Yelp reviews, and picked this plumber because of the reputation that they have on this site.  We are happy to report it is as good as advertised!

We've had no problem with them and have had a plumbing and heat/ac service agreement with them for 2-3 years. However, when we decided to replace the furnace and air conditioner, and zone our house for upstairs/downstairs separate heating/cooling areas, things went sideways and we have lost our trust in the company.

I got the replacement of air conditioner and furnace just fine. I was told that zoning was waiting for parts, so wouldn't be performed on day of furnace installation. I received no call about when zoning would be done. Finally called a month after furnace installation, asking when zoning would be done. Was told they had to come out and re-examine the zoning requirements, which they did. I received no call about when zoning would commence. Called a month after the examination, and I was told that zoning would require the removal of drywall to get at specific vents-and I was not informed of this. Two months between furnace install their explanation of why they didn't want to do the zoning after saying they would. Why I hadn't received a call about this, and whether it would impact the estimate they gave me was simply unprofessional in my opinion. Will not use again because I've lost faith in their abilities.

Our kitchen flooded on a Saturday evening, forcing us to call someone in for an emergency pipe repair. Southport answered the call -- and while their prices were a little shocking, you get what you pay for on a COVID-era weekend. Excellent, knowledgeable, quick service from Dalton got us back up and running.

We wanted t have our HVAC unit inspected for the first time in 8 years, (yes, I know...), and we called Southport for this job.  I was so pleased as to how quickly an appointment was available and scheduled.  The technician who came to my home was delightful, enthusiastic, efficient, knowledgeable and informative.  He assured me that everything was in working order and showed me where vital shutoffs were that I didn't even know existed.  I will highly recommend Southport and we will surely use them again for our HVAC needs!
