Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

This is the worst service I ever used. The person was not honest at all and the charge is weight over regular price. They Charged me $250 for about 20 minutes actual drainage service!! Not worth one star at all but no choice!!!

The person (Wayne) showed up to do free estimation and told me that it takes him about 2 hours and 30 minutes to get the job done and charge me $250. Actual drainage job took him about 20 minutes done the job.

This is the 1st time I used their service on 5/1/2013, also  IT IS THE LAST TIME I use their service.

I don't intend to use them again.  A solenoid valve broke in my shower.  A technician came to the house and walked in with his wet shoes.  Then he charged me $400, $65 which was for the part and the rest labor!  Less than a month later it broke.  Another tech came out and he was extremely rude, especially after I told him he needed to put the booties on his feet.  He also refused to provide warranty repair services because he claimed it was broken by the black residue in my water.. even though the part was never exposed to water!  He left and 20 minutes later the doorbell rang and he asked to see my water heater.  He looked at the water heater and determined the residue might be coming from the tubes connected to the water heater because they were rubber insulated.  We thanked him and then took our business to A1 Plumbing and Heating.

Few things to point out
1. Roto rooter works on commission, so when the plumber came back to fix the WARRANTIED part, he earned nothing, hence why he came back trying to fix something else
2. DELTA faucets and parts are lifetime warranties
3. He was offended when asked to put booties on his wet muddy feet

The scheduler called to let me know that the plumber was running late and might not come within my appointment window about an hour and half into my appointment window.  I really appreciated the heads up instead of them waiting until the end of my window to call.  That being said, the scheduled called me back moments later to let me know the plumber would come within 36 minutes.  When the plumber arrived, he was honest about my issue, let me know he would have to purchase parts from a specialty store (which I expected due to prior issues).  He promptly purchased the parts and even provided me with an extra part should the problem occur again.  He was very professional and even gave me some advise so I can avoid this issue again in the future.

Prompt and professional service.  Though price was more than double than I expected for simple drain cleaning.  Will have to look for more reasonably priced company next time.

Poor communication is my first complaint, second it's been three weeks and they have still not sent someone out to finish the work, and can't get an answer on that. They had to pull up our wood floor and chipped 4 kitchen tiles in the process. We are told they will replace those four tiles and I'm sure you'll be able to tell that the grout doesn't match. They also scraped the wall significantly and told me it was from the tape used for containment- dThere is absolutely no way that's even possible. So upset and frustrated.
Update- STILL have not been contacted by anyone to follow up with this

We woke up to a leak from an upstairs toilet that then leaked into ceiling of downstairs' bathroom. Not something you want to find on a Friday morning at 7am. Contacted Roto-Rooter and received a call back right at 8am saying they could have someone here in 30-45 min. Austin showed up and was able to determine what the issue was and make the repair very quickly. He also had someone come out with thermal camera to determine extent of damage to flooring and ceiling and advise on it. We could not be happier with the outstanding care and service that Austin and Robert provided.

They were over an hour late getting to my house, but once there, the service was top-notch. Technician was very friendly, very good at explaining the fees, and left me in better shape than I was in before he got here. Only real gripe is with the lateness. I'm willing to chalk that up to me calling them during the holidays.

I got excellent service from Michael. I called on a Sunday afternoon in a bind because the water wouldn't go down the drain (nothing bad happens on a weekday; it's always a weekend or holiday). They sent Michael out that night and he got right to work. It wasn't a simple job but Michael persisted till the clog was gone. Turns out it was quite a ways down the old cast iron pipe.

Price was a little more than I had hoped, but not unreasonable for short notice and difficulty/quality of job done.

Ernie and Carlos were amazing! Our sewage grinder pump went out over the Memorial Day weekend.  They showed up and had the new pump order to install the next day. I have had nothing but great experiences with the Chesapeake Office and will continue to use them for all our plumbing needs.

Tried calling during plumbing emergency with old pipes I had. Receptionist lady said they didn't service my type of system and hung up with out letting me explain
