Shower head was leaking and I figured it was the shower valve cartridge but it was not coming out. So instead of making it worse I put in a call to AHS home warranty and they sent Patriot Plumbing. They arrived on time and were very professional. I read reviews so I was skeptical about using them. Within a few seconds they knew exactly what the problem was, they had the part with them, took out old one, showed me the worn o-rings around valve, replaced valve, and the leak was gone. Took about 20 minutes for the entire job. I was very satisfied with the work that was done.

Rating is horrible on the star scale.  Horrible company.  Technicians are completely incompetent.  They are crooks.   They can not diagnose a problem.  They will not give customers a straight answer about plumbing problems.  Do NOT CALL THESE CROOKS.

I wish i could give them negative -100. Years ago with Ahs, i needed my drains cleaned and he said he had to snake thru toilet after I repeatedly told him where my main line was. I called them back, cuss their dumb asses out and they refunded me the cost to snake. Its a shame, i am a 30 something female and i knoe more than a plumber.  Recently my stoppers in my faucets need to be replaced, ahs dispatched them again. He literally took pics and said he didn't have the stoppers on the truck and sent me and invoice for $375 for stoppers! I could have bought 3 whole faucets for less! Its a complete rip off and ahs use unreputable businesses. There are sonmany times i ask forna second opinion visit. Steetvclear from Patriot Plumbing...they are straight garbage

The other reviews are right. This company is trying to charge us an extra $635 out of pocket for modifications that aren't code requirements on what should be a simple hot water heater installation. We are going through our warranty company (AHS) and even they said it's not required. Steve tried to condescendingly tell me, normally I get paid $2200 for opening my code book. Well not today, shyster, because I happen to have that same code book in front of me and I can indeed read it as well, or it seems, better than you can. It's a shame because the first team that came out here were two nice gentlemen, and they (OOPS) told the truth about what they'd be attempting to charge us out of pocket. It's a shame they work for such a crap company. This company is as unethical as they come. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They will try to rip you off for things that are totally unnecessary!!! Im still floored at how condescending Steve was on the phone. PATRIOT PLUMBING IS A SCAM!
UPDATE: I called a city inspector, as well as another licensed plumber to check further into this, and they agreed, Patriot Plumbing is trying to make a buck, that this so-called required drain pipe is NOT required where our water heater is located. DO NOT LET PATRIOT PLUMBING ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR HOME UNLESS YOU LIKE TO THROW AWAY MONEY!!!

Our home warranty used this company to help us with leak detection.  The employee came out removed our toilet said he was 99% sure the water leak was coming from here.  He then put the toilet back on the bad seal and told me we would have to have someone else out to mitigate this problem.  I called a plumber for a leak detection/repair and the problem is not resolved.  I was charged a service fee for this company to do absolutely nothing.  I would not recommend.

Worst company ever !!  Were sent from American Home Shield warranty to our rental property. They fixed the problem, leak from upstairs shower into  lower ceiling. It reoccurred in weeks. They also were sent to our son's home to repair kitchen plumbing in his home. They charged him $850.00 to put in pvc pipe ,worked and hour and 15 min and left. Three days later kitchen plumbing backed up again. Reputable company came out, found that Patriot had put in a vent against city code,  had done poor work that wouldn't have prevented the problem, and over charged our son.
When we contacted Patriot for a refund, their owner did offer to come make it right but based on the poor work they did at our home and now our son's we wanted a refund and another trustworthy company to do the work. The owner via email was rude, combative and  didn't even identify himself.
If you have American Home Shield and have plumbing issues, make your work order via the phone and chose a  company other than Patriot.

If I could give them a negative number I would. My home warranty AHS sent them to look at my busted water heater and Patriot said I would have to pay almost $460 to install a expansion tank. I've had 2 standard water tanks installed over the years and no expansion tank was needed. Patriot claims it's city code. Home Depot said none was needed for the installation. Are Patriot Plumbing Llc and AHS in bed together?

This business is so unprofessional. My warranty company sent this company out to look at my hot water heater.  The gentleman was very nasty rude and condescending.  I will never use them again and if my warranty company tries to send them to my house I will cancel my warranty. 0 stars

I hate to say I have nothing better to say about these folks. We we assigned to Patriot for our issue through our HMS as well. My husband specifically inquired about the issue being something that was covered and was told yes by the admin; our appointment was scheduled for later in the afternoon and they called and arrived nearly two hours earlier. The older gentleman was abrupt, called me sweet heart, and raced back and forth like he was in a hurry to get somewhere else only to tell me that none of it was covered. Then, he wouldn't even give me the quote for what it would cost to fix it until he got his service fee; I should have gotten that before I even spoke to you. Excuse me? Meanwhile, my husband was trying to get home. He tried to contact HMS, but it redirected him to directly to Patriot Plumbing. When he asked the admin about it this time, her response was 'oh, yeah, none of that is covered'. This company seems like it is simply out to rake in services fees with no consideration for the homeowners or the integrity of their company.

This company is the WORST. My family and I have been without a water heater for a month and 1 week. I have a 2 year old and a shit ton of laundry to do because this company kept telling me my water heater was on order. The water heater finally comes in and when they arrive to my home..the plumber asked me why is the broken water heater still installed. Uhm, it's installed because that's you're job to unistall the old one and put in the new one.  Please DO NOT use this company and write a review on every platform about their horrible service.

They were hired by our home warranty company to fix a leak created by the last plumber our warranty company sent out.  Patriot not only MADE IT WORSE, they left with a check and told the company that it was user caused!   They denied our claim.  We called a local plumber who fixed the problem in 15 minutes flat.   We will be cancelling the check and contacting our home warranty company to complain as well as cancelling our contract.    Dishonest plumber at most, incompetent at least.  Avoid!

They performed an emergency repair on my house a few years ago when the quest pipe connection to my water heater broke.  The cost was $400.00 to crimp a connection.  I had no choice becuase it was an emergency repair.  Don't hire this plumber.  Avoid at all cost.

Can't say I'm surprised now looking at all these reviews. Our landlord has AHS and hired these guys to come fix our leaking toilet. They told us 5 different things were broken with the toilet and that it would cost $130 on top of  the $100 (covered by insurance) for them to come out. My landlord was very assuring on not to pay the plumbers anything extra, that she had already paid for it. After plumber finishes he says $130 is due in cash now and my fiance and I explained we were under the impression it was all already paid for. He told us no it's not covered under the insurance but you know what don't worry about it, I'm a Christian man and it's on the house today, then proceeds to small talk with us about our recent engagement and my dog. My fiance gave him a hefty tip instead as we were thinking maybe he was really doing a favor in this crazy coronavirus time we are living in. After speaking with my landlord, nope! He is just very polite to your face while plotting how he can jip whatever money he can get from you. Avoid them if you can!

This is probably the worst plumbing company in the entire world!  If your home warranty send these chumps out to your house send them back. I had a clogged bathtub and toilet. Call the home warranty they sent these clowns out to my house. They say they tried to find the access cover to my sewage drain so they can clean it and they couldn't find it. There for it will cost me $1600 to have one installed. LOL!  So I called another company not only did the other company find the access to my sewer drain they cleaned it and treated it and was gone in 25 minutes.  Just to let anyone know don't do business with these clowns. If you have a home warranty they will just take your $100 and not do a single thing. The access to my sewer line was in plane sight but they said they didn't see it. Just so they can try and charge me $1600!!!! Scammers!

Was directed to Patriot Plumbing by my AHS when I had issues with a pipe. Steve was VERY helpful and very descript. I can't say my experience with the rest of the process was all that great-- my tenants, living in the house, didn't know that the plumbers had to come back to re-tamp down some dirt, and they didn't clean up super well what they had to tear up. Additionally, though Steve and I spoke about PP having to come back the following Saturday to finish up work, no one told us they were on their way and they just showed up - I had no idea to tell my tenants they'd be there so early. The dirt tamping and clean up was sub par. Overall, the job they did was alright - they fixed the issue we had in a good amount of time and they didn't track anything through the house. I've experienced better, but they weren't terrible to us. The front desk/phone associate was not very upbeat or informative and I didn't know if or when my message would be relayed. I had MUCH better results just talking directly to Steve.

Maybe we're the exception, but I had Steve Jr. out this morning to install kitchen faucets.  The actual single handed faucet had rusted.  AHS sent them out.  Original observation determined the problem.  I was shown the problem.  The cold/hot tap had to be replaced.  The replacement had to be ordered.  I was told 7 to 10 days to receive it.  I say this, because I was fully informed of what was to be done.  The part came in on Wednesday, and they were out on Saturday.  Steve Jr. was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. At no point was there any upselling done.  Initially there was a question about my coverage, and their office did all the coordination.  I was very pleased from initial contact, to job completion.  I'd highly recommend Patriot Plumbing.

DO NOT CALL PATRIOT PLUMBING! THEY ARE THE PITS!
If you see PATRIOT PLUMBING take off running. For they are like thieves in the night only looking for your wallet!
Customer service is a joke. The told me I had to pay for a chimney inspection, and I DON'T have a fireplace. Then, stated you have to get the flue inspected and certified prior to us coming back out. I complied, had a company come out, states the flue is clear.  They even had the audacity to ask if the company I called out was certified. I didn't ask Patriot Plumbing if they were certified. I guess I should have. It's been several days, guess what...they still have not shown up! I have to laugh only to keep from crying.  I only gave them 1 star because a 0 star was not an option!

Avoid at all cost! They were hired for my plumbing issues (leak) and my hot water tank through my warranty 2-10. The plumbing issue I had was with my downstairs sink and toliet leaking and my main emergency valve not turning off the water in the home. The technician gave me all the reasons in the world to not get it fixed. He said I should be turing the water off at the street anyhow. Then he noted on the invoice I broke the valve and it would cost $277 to get it fixed. I called the office and requested a call back from the manager at which I never received a call. They came out a few days later to diagnosis the leak with my hot water tank and the other technician wanted to rearrange where the tank was sitting at and put it on cylinder blocks and I told him it wouldn't work because I live in a flood zone, he wrote a note to my home warranty and said it would be an additional $750 for them to come out and modify where they put the hot water tank. Which makes no sense. They could have simply replaced it back to it's original spot. They are money hungary, they dont want to do any work, and they are not qualified or skilled enough to be a contractor. Do Not Waste Your Time with this Company. You will be disappointed! Zero Rating!!!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My warranty company sent Patriot Plumbing out to diagnose my hot water heater and unclog a toilet. The employee told me he needed to order a part which would take 3-5 days.  He was not going to unclog the toilet because it wasn't on his ticket.  He eventually did unclog the toilet, but ruined the toilet in the meantime (completely scratched and black inside now). Left it this way and left bathroom a complete mess.  Came back to fix the mess he made next day because I called and complained.  Still not fixed.  I waited for the call that my hot water heater part had come in.  Never received a call.  The company will not answer the phone, nor return my voicemails. Called the warranty company a week and a half later, Patriot Plumbing never sent in the diagnosis nor did they order the part.  I have now been without hot water for over two weeks and I'm going with Buds.  They came out same day, coming back next day to fix. Patriot plumbing is awful.

Please avoid them at all costs. If you were referred to them by American Home Shield, cancel that request immediately.

Patriot Plumbing came to fix a blockage in my kitchen sink.  I described the problem to the plumber and told him I needed him to snake the the clean-out in the kitchen.   He looked under the sink for 1 minute and said my sink pipes needed be changed from 1.5 to  2.0 inch pipes.  He wanted to charge $800 for this service.  I told him this was not necessary and to just snake the clean-out.  He refused, and said he was a licensed plumber and I didn't know what I was talking about.  I told him to leave, and I called my friend who is a Handyman.  He snaked the clean-out as I requested of the plumber.  He cleaned the blockage in less than 2 minutes.

If I could give zero stars I would. My homeowners warranty sent these jokers to my home because my shower broke, he and his surly ?son? barely looked at the shower declared the whole thing needed replaced, that they were going to have to cut open the wall to fix it and left.  A week later I called back to see what was going on, I was informed my warranty denied it. (I never heard even one word from my company) and that I was going to have to replace it myself. Okay fine. I okayed it. They said they would call me back to schedule. Another week went by, I called again, got more run around was told they would call me back that day, nothing... I let the weekend pass then I called a new company who sent someone out today, they diagnosed the problem after actually looking at it(imagine that). Only one small part needs replaced, they dont have to cut open my walls, and they are fixing it RIGHT NOW and for a quarter of the price.

They are the worse...plumber  came to fix water heater thought he was gonna run the hot water until it ran cold which made no sense instead of checking the thermostat which found out that was the problem. I would never use their company again and I would advise anybody else if they had them on a contract to take them off.

THEY TRIED TO GET AN EXTRA $570 FROM ME! Unless you want to be gouged, don't call this company. My home warranty sent them out and they wanted to charge me $695 for extra work that wasn't covered by my home warranty for a water heater replacement. Luckily, my warranty company was willing to send out a different company for a second opinion and now I'm paying just $125 for the same job. Look around the web for other reviews and see their terrible reputation for yourself.

My home warranty sent this contractor out for a pipe leak.  I was given a quote of $1200 to move an old water heater to get to the problem then replace it.  I called Lowe's, they said a new water heater installed should run around $800.  How could moving the old one be 1.5 times more than buying a new one?  Also, the big guy didn't even get near the problem.  He looked at it from about 3 feet away.  My second contractor at least got down on his stomach to see where the water was coming from.
And I don't think a contractor should bring his son to a job site, unless said son is actually working, not just handing tools. I advised my home warranty to cut these guys loose.

DO NOT  DO NOT DO NOT CALL THESE CROOKS!  This big guy came out, per our home warranty HMS, walked around our home without any tools, told us he couldn't access the clogged drain (which was in our master restroom), because he said we needed a valve on the exterior, which he then quoted us $1200 for!!!  HE TOOK OUR $100 though!  WE CALLED Another PLUMBER AND THEY LAUGHED AND TOLD US THAT THIS GUY WAS LYING AND SHOWED US EXACTLY WHERE THE VALVE WAS IN OUR FLOWERBED.  Also there's plenty of ways to unclog any clogged drains from toilets themselves so he just didn't want to do ANY WORK.  IF YOU LOOK AT OTHER WEBSITES FOR REVIEWS THEY DO THE SAME THING TO EVERYONE!  Spread the word so they can stop robbing customers!!! DO NOT CALL DO NOT USE PATRIOT PLUMBING!  I'd give this crook a negative 50 if I could!!!!  so wrong to take people's money and have no intent to do any work work!  Lazy jerk

Absolutely the worst company to deal with. Was referred to them by American Home Shield (AHS) for hot water heater not working. I was advised not having hot water isn't considered an emergency so we had to wait 2 days til tech appointment with this company.  Once tech arrived to home, he didn't stay 5 minutes- immediately looked at heater and stated I needed a brand new one. I asked what happened and he stated I am not sure but I'll get a phone call for an appointment to install a new one in 7- 10 days. At this point we are already over 3 days with no hot water. Later that day the tech wrote the diagnostic report as excessive force in which AHS denied the claim because it wasn't considered normal wear and tear. After a conversation with Mgmt, they offered me a 2nd opinion in which the 2nd company/tech stated the heater could be repaired and no need for a new one. AHS approved my claim.
Avoid Patriots Plumbing at all cost. A HUGE waste of time.

Referred to by my home warranty (American Home Shield) = FAIL!!
Madison, or whomever is at the front desk is RUDE, as well as the technician. The manager booked my appointment, then reschedule it for a time I was uncertain about due to having a military class. The manger booked my appointment for 10am-2pm, I told her I would be getting home from my class at a little after 10am, she stated that would be fine. However, the technician arrived earlier than expected, and stated he would leave at 10am. When I contacted the office, of course the Manager is not there, and Madison is rude. I was able to get out of my class early and contacted the technician and told him I could be there by 1010, he agreed. When I got home, he was not there and did not pick up the phone nor returned my calls. Ultimately, I got out of class early and rushed home to NO technician. Contacted the company again, and of course no response. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY.

Avoid this company at all costs. Let's start off with the good. The guy and is son(?) are friendly and respectful. Here's the rest. They were called in by my home warranty.
They told me I need to remove the tub shoe so they can repair the pipe in question. After doing some googling, I found out that the tub shoe is actually a part of the pipe. Why would I do a plumbers job ? Now I am out of 75 dollars with no work done.  I have paid enough in premiums + call fees to have this work done three times over with no work done. One star

Our pipes underneath our sink came apart so naturally we contacted AHS to send out a plumber. Two guys came out and looked at it and immediately says, They aren't up to code. Too many 90 degree pipes... He then proceeds to explain that they will have to cut into the back of our island wall to install the new pipes and said 9/10 your home warranty won't cover it, but if you pay cash now I'll cut you a deal.... UM. EXCUSE ME?!? We immediately got a second option, and what do you know?!? The first guys were full of B.S.. Our pipes are fine and it's an easy fix.

Thank god AHS refunded our money back because the two guys from Patriot Plumbing did absolutely nothing.

Again, I URGE you to avoid this company!

Price gouging seems to be popular with this company. Like stated in many other reviews, this company attempted to charge me for work that did not need to be done. Approx $1286 worth!  They wanted this money from me AND whatever AHS was paying them. I called another contractor who confirmed most of what they said needed done was not accurate and completed the entire job for less than that! As if that's not enough, the technician sent was completely rude and disrespectful. This company should not be in business.

Patriots plumbing sucks. They are very overpriced. I paid $7125 to have a water heater replaced and moved to the garage. I believe they are a rip off and they couldn't give me a breakdown of what they charge me for such as how much was the water heater, how much was the labor, how much was it to remove the water heater from the bathroom to the garage, they didn't have an answer my advice to anyone do that call Patriots plumbing. Patriot Plumbing is ripping its customers off! I called American Home Shield to replace my hot water heater. They farmed my business out to Patriot Plumbing. I was skeptical after reading the reviews but thought I'd give it a chance. We scheduled an appointment and they arrived on time (12/27/18). The tech told me that I didn't have a cut-off valve on my current unit so it may not be covered under my warranty; didn't make sense to me but ok, what choice did I have. He said he'd write it up and they would call to schedule the install. It went down hill from there. A month later with still no contact from Patriot, I called and Madison told me they've had no contact from AHS. I called AHS and they said they ok'd the install nearly a month prior, but that they would reach out to Patriot again. It took 4 calls to Patriot, 2 calls to AHS, and 2 months. Thank goodness I still had hot water, right? I felt as though I wasn't a priority because I was using a warranty company. My HWH was finally installed yesterday (2/23/19). The techs couldn't have been nicer and were really efficient. I wish I could give them 5 stars. Too bad the work for Patriot! My recommendation is to use another company, one that values your business, your time, and your hard earned money.

After reading all of the reviews, I am in complete agreement with all of the negative reviews.  I would never hire this plumbing company and as stated by many others, if they could receive a zero rating it would be more appropriate.  They must be only employed by warranty services because if anyone called them for any reason they are likely to have to pay a large sum of money when it is not necessary.  I asked for the item # of the faucet they planned to replace but was told they did not have it.  But they did have a cost for the item.  I am still baffled how one can have a price for an item but not have the item #.  How did they look it up and get the price???  I would not recommend letting them in your house and if you see them as a part of your home warranty - call to change contractors immediately.  They simply want the service fee and then they disappear.

Don't use this company.  They were an 1 1/2 hours late after calling and saying they were on the way. Once they arrived, they demanded 295.00 without providing receipt before they had done any work. Once work was done, the serviceman wanted us to sign a blank phone receipt without any description of what I was signing. After an argument started over the receipt, I decided to call police to mediate, at which point the serviceman called his office and stated that we threaten him with the police. Then I received a call from their office with a threat of higher charges if I didn't let his driver leave. The only thing holding his driver up was that we would not sign a blank document.  We finally got an emailed receipt.  I priced the materials that the 295.00 was for at Lowes about 45.00.  I guess the 250.00 left over was for hour labor and 30 minutes of trying to get us to sign a blank receipt?  Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company.

Worst plumbing company... EVER.  Had a water heater go bad and our warranty co. gave us these yahoos.  They were beyond rude on the phone, impossible to speak with about the issue, and they are liars.  They claimed that the builders improperly installed the water heater, which prompted out warranty company to deny coverage.  They only did so after we called and chewed them out.  On top of that, we simply paid out of pocket for someone to go look at the issue, and had fixed their 500 dollar problem for 130.

I hope beyond hope this company either shapes up, or goes bankrupt.  They have no business being in the service industry.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

We made a service call through our home warranty to fix a leaking hot water valve to sink and also to fix a leaky main water shutoff valve to house. They sent us Patriot Plumbing. The technician wouldn't fix the main water shutoff valve complaining he couldn't get access and we needed to pull the entire cabinet out. He was obese and could not fit that was the problem. I am 6ft 200lbs and had no problem getting to it.They fixed the hot water valve but in the process cracked our drain then refused to fix it saying crack was there but we had no issues with the drain leaking. I would not trust any plumbing job to these reckless and lazy people.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST!! I had a main line back up, contacted American Home Shield which set up the appointment for patriot plumbing to come out and fix the issue. The moment the technician came to my home he determined that the block was due to city pipes and not a backup on my end, of course I took his word for it and proceeded to call the city. The city came did their test and only to find out that the blockage was in my yard. All of this happened on a Friday, after hearing that it was not the city end I proceeded to call back America home shield on Saturday for them to send a new company only to find out that patriot plumbing did not send in the detail report that the issue was not fix and why, because they didn't send out the report American home shield was unable to send me a new technician. long story short I was out of a toilet and shower for the entire weekend. I wish I could give patriot plumbing zero stars

I had patriot plumbing out to my home through my home warranty company to address a broken shower handle.  Faucets are covered under my policy.

Upon arrival, the technician glanced at our broken plastic shower handle and decided that the reason it was broke was due to excessive force and informed us that it would not be covered.  They subsequently sent me an estimate for over $450 for repairs.  I tried calling them to better understand the proposal and diagnosis but after leaving a message and requesting a call back twice with the home warranty company, I never heard from anyone.  I called today and was told by some unfriendly employe that the broken handle did not just happen.  Well, duh.  We turned the handle and it broke.  How it was determined to be because of some kind of unusual force exerted by 65 year old mom is absurd.

I requested a second opinion and fortunately, was sent an excellent plumber from an upstanding company who actually LOOKED at the broken valve and determined that an internal piece of the valve was jammed.  He explained there are ways to evaluate if excessive force is used, such as turned pipes but none of the ways to identify excessive force could have been verified by glancing at a broken handle.  I explained what had happened with the people at Patriot and without missing a beat he asked if my bad experience was with Patriot Plumbing!  What does that tell you?

Shame on my home warranty company for even sending out a well known lousy company.  I will be letting them know how terrible my experience was and encourage everyone to steer very clear of these plumbers.

So I had an issue where my main line was clogged and went through my 2-10 home warranty, who sent Patriot Plumbing. So the guy comes out and I start explaining things to him, before he will look at anything he said he has to collect my $189 service charge. So I pay and then he goes and looks at the the toil, says yup main is clogged. Then look around the yard to find a cleaning access, which don't seem to have one. So he tells me only thing can do is install the the cleaning access for $950. Said cant remove the toilet and snake it because its illegal in VA. So I end up calling a different highly rated plumber who comes out and removed my toilet, snakes everything out, and now its working great. When I told him the other plumber said its illegal to remove the toilet he just laughed. So I don't recommend Patriot Plumbing at all. Now fighting to get my $189 back
