So Barry and Vincent just left and I have to say I couldn't be more pleased... I had sewage backing up in my laundry room from the washing machine drain. I was hoping they would just snake the line and call it a day but nothing is ever that easy... Took them 2 hours to clear the pipes as they were completely clogged with grease and gunk! Eventually I have to replace the cast iron with PVC so I will be calling back, but the blockage is clear and the price for what they did today was very reasonable! Thanks again guys!
I am updating my review. No one has been over to repair the hole in my wall. I extended an invitation to the Owner or who ever sees this to come and inspect for themselves. I have no reason or gain to falsely accuse anyone. I paid my bill $850 in full. I don't feel satisfied with how things were left in my home.

Very happy and satisfied with the quick response and service from Robert with Drain Wizard. We are a local business that ran into a clogged issue early on a Saturday morning right when we opened. They were the second call I made but the first one to respond and arrive within a reasonable time. Got the problem fixed quickly and got us back in business. Thank you for a job well done !!!
I've been extremely happy with my experience working with Drain Wizard. I would use them again and would definitely recommend them to friends. After recent negative experience with plumbers, it was a relief to find a plumber who was honest, knowledgeable, and fairly priced. I had a major plumbing repair completed and trusted them to successfully complete all repairs necessary without overcharging or doing unnecessary work. Great to have found a plumber I can trust.
I frequently DIY and am usually disappointed with the poor workmanship I find when I call in others for repairs. But not this time. They took care of a problem w the bath tub faucets and found a water leak under the house. THESE GUYS WERE AWESOME. They did what they said they would do, and did it when they said they would. The office dispatcher was great and communicated frequently about what would be done when. Not only did they do a great job, the left the house in great shape. They had to move some things in a closet to get to the tub access, and w everything was put back even nearer than before. THANKS TEAM!! Great work! Would definitely recommend them!!!
Excellent company. Had Ken out here to find a leaking pipe to the street. He was pleasant, professional and knew his business. He found the leak in my flowerbed and had it fixed in a couple of hours.
I had two problems. My clothes washer would have soap suds back up from the drain pipe. Drain Wizard was the third plumber who snaked this out and when they were done it worked fine draining water from the fill hose. However, it still backs up suds when spinning a load of wash. I am now convinced this is problem with the speed my washer spins water out and/or the soap used and not a problem with the drain.
The second problem involved a bathroom sink drain. They worked on this from ~ 9:30 AM till ~ 4:15 PM, snaking through the sink drain, up from the crawl space and down from the roof vent. When done the drain worked better than it has in a long time. Unfortunately the clean up of the considerable mess that was involved from the gunk that came out of the pipes was less than I would have liked. They did not stop and put up any floor protection when it started to become much more of a mess than I think would be considered normal. I also found later that the access door to my crawl space had been left in place using some bricks and they had not mentioned any problem getting it secured with the attaching screws.
This was a very expensive job for me and readers should realize, the problem was fixed, my rating is primarily based on non-pluming details of the work.

Drain Wizard staff were no-show/no-call during and after their appointment window at my house in Hampton yesterday (2-11-2020). Save your time by calling another company. I didn't even bother to waste further time to call them to ask of their absence.

Well the guys just left and all I can say is AWESOME!!! Friday after 5pm and they were fast to arrive and quick and professional to find and fix the issue. And by the way, their TOTAL price was less than what most others charge for an after hours service call just to show up.
Well done gentlemen and thank you!
P.S. Response time was less than an hour and total time was about 2 hours from initial call to problem solved.

Excellent service! Responded to our call at 8pm and sent someone to fix it immediately that night. If possible I would give more than 5 stars!
Fast and efficient service! Very reasonable price! Had problems with a office toilet leaking. Only bathroom in office. Came with in the hour and repaired immediately!
On Saturday, I had a leak in the kitchen from the ceiling. I tried to find the leak myself but couldn't find it. I tried 2 other companies who were absolutely no help. One company stated, well since it's just dripping and not a big job to make it worth my time, we aren't coming out. I called Drain Wizard and spoke with Alyssa and explained my situation, she said if it's your problem it's our problem. Because it was after standard operating hours she said she would call the on-call technician. The on-call tech called within 15 mins. I explained what I saw and then further explained that all of a sudden it stopped dripping. He said I'll come out as a courtesy and see what's going on. He quickly came out and assessed the situation. They looked everywhere and explained pricing and let me know what fits best for my budget. Because it stopped leaking I forgot to call back to schedule an appointment but did receive a call from Alyssa the following week. She wasn't pushy, just wanted to know if I still needed plumbing assistance. I explained the situation and she said she would call the technician and let me know what their overall assessment was. (I asked for the advice) Adam, the technician, called and explained what he planned to do. He found the leak within mins, quoted me for the part and labour, fixed the leaks, and cleaned up any mess he made. He was in and out in less than 1 hour. He was professional, clean, respectful, and kind. I hope to not have a leak again but if I do, Drain Wizard will be the first place I call!

Mike and his crew responded immediately and fixed a major water pipe busted in my ceiling. By far the friendliest plumbers I've dealt with. Would recommend them for anything plumbing related. Thanks so much

Do not let in your house and if they have been there check your valuables!!!! I had drain wizard in my residence because my landlord uses them. They were in my house unattended for two days for 8 hrs a day. Both days my wife and kids came home as they were finishing for the day. So my wife told me that they looked shady but I though nothing of it because I'm in the customer service industry and I know you can't judge a book by its cover. But her woman's intuition was correct. As they completed the job I just decided to do some checking around because I had strangers in my house while no one was home. As I get to main area where they was working at which was my bedroom because we had plumbing issues in our master bathroom. I find out that my firearm was missing from the other side of the room totally away from the bathroom. As I check frantically around the house because I have kids and don't want another sad story I came to conclusion that it was gone!!!! I followed the proper channels and reported it. After my report I received a call that it was recovered and I was correct it was the plumbers. I called the business and didn't receive no call back which I find odd because this is a SERIOUS matter. So I had to take my lunch break to drive 35 mins to the office so I can get some answers. I meet one gentleman who was polite and he called his boss or owner. As I explained who I was and what happened he was aware of the situation but did not reach out to me or my family to see how to rectify the problem. So as I'm asking him what is next on the company policy he starts ranting about how he is an ex-cop and he worked hard for his business and the guy was just in the warehouse and went on the jobs site. I'm thinking no background check before you send workers in customers houses. Then he says and I quote What do you want me to do about it? You should get your gun back in 26 or so days. I will call the detective and see what's the status. This happened in late October 2018. I've waited and waited and after two court dates and 6 months later still no call from the company or no firearm to protect my family!!!!!

We had a gushing water pipe in the crawl space and called at about 8:15 am. The guys were at our house by 9:30 (latest) and got it sorted out in about an hour and a half, including running out for a part. They were nice and professional, and wore masks and everything. When they the total charged, I said I thought it would be more, and the big guy said, We're not like those other guys. I couldn't agree more. We will call them the next time we need a plumber!

I live in Williamsburg, VA. I called and they picked up the phone quickly; however, please be sure to ask upfront about prices. They indicated that they would be able to send someone out the same day to look at an issue with a leaking pipe, but once I found out they charge $100 just to come out to look at the problem, I decided not to have them come. The receptionist also indicated that their rate is $175 for the 1st hour of work and $90 for each additional hour. This seems steep considering the average hourly rate of pay for a plumber is ~$30 (according to my online search). I also was able to schedule free estimates with other companies. I didn't hire them so I can't speak to their quality of work but they are responsive.

They came out in less than an hour of me calling them and had the problem fixed very quickly. They explained to me exactly what happened and how to prevent it from happening again in the future. Their customer service both on the phone and in person was amazing. It's clear that they truly care about customer satisfaction.
I can't rave about this company enough. They came out when we had a clog and couldnt use our plumbing. Mr, shaw came out and was very profession and empathetic to our problem. He honestly treated us as if we were family. That type of help is very rare these days and I hold experiences like that close. To other companies customers are merely means of money but not Drain Wizard, they treat you like family. They are defiantly our go to company!
Professional & knowledgeable. Give them a call, they've come to the rescue three times for us and even replaced all of the cast iron pipes under our house with PVC when we had tree roots in our main line.

I live in Newport News and was referred to Drain Wizard by Homeserve, a home service plan provided by Virginia Dominion Energy. I contacted Homeserve on 12/3/2021 after researching several plumbers in the area who could perform a drain cleanout on my home property.
Homeserve dispatched a call to Drain Wizard within minutes. Mr. Booker, according to his name that was printed on the work order, arrived promptly at 12:12 p.m. He knocked on my door announced himself and immediately was led to the area of the house that was in need of plumbing issues. He glanced at the toiled and mentioned that since the toilet was not flushing, snaking the toilet would be an option. Mr. Booker retreated outside to assess the work area (so I thought). In the interim, I presumed he contacted Homeserve to get the work order approved to no avail. Meanwhile, while Mr. Booker spoke with a claims representative, I was also on the telephone with Homeserve informing the agent, Jimmy, of what had transpired outside.
When I looked outside to summon Mr. Booker to the telephone to speak with Jimmy, Mr. Booker and his coworker left my property in the Drain Wizard truck immediately. Mr. Booker never knocked on my door to inform me of his findings; whether or not the work was feasible or covered under the Homesere warranty or anything whatsoever. No work was completed!
Mr. Jimmy apologized to me for the lack of professionalism from Drain Wizard's employee. I contacted Dee on 12/4/2021 and asked to speak with a supervisor or manager. She informed me to call back at 8:30 a.m. because all of the managers were in the field. Sorry, Drain Wizard, you missed the mark this time!

After having a terrible experience with another company I called these Plumbers. They came out the same day, were able to diagnose and fix my issue in a matter of about an hour and were reasonably priced, particularly since they came to me after hours because I was at work. Highly recommend!
This is update to my original post. The owner did contact me personally and explain what had occurred with his lead technician. The call to me from the owner was admirable, and I do accept his explanation.
I have updated my original rating...because they did a great job and helped me out of a bind; moreover, I do not want to downplay how they helped me in my time of need.

Best company I've ever worked for. The owners are kind and funny. I love working for Jen and Mike except when I'm on call.

You can probably discern that this will be a VERY positive review, it may also be a bit longer than the average. So, if you just want to know, were they good, were they timely, etc. they were 5 stars all around. But, if you want to know how truly exceptional Drain Wizard was, read on.
About three months ago the sewer line at one of my properties began backing up into the house. I tried my plumber of 30 years who was unsuccessful at breaking the clog. Another plumber came out with a bigger machine and successfully (for a while) opened the line. It dawned on me that I had a specific sewer line insurance policy. The policy and the insurance company also did a great job, but that is a different review.
We had several large companies out to diagnose and fix the problem enough times that $2,000.00 of my $5,000.00 insurance cap was used. At this point my research pointed me to Drain Wizard. When the technicians came out with all the right equipment to do the diagnosis. They pinpointed where the issue was and after some negotiation with the insurance they released the remainder of the 5k and I added an extra 1k to have the Drain Wizard team come out and do the final fix.
After several hours of digging the tech called me to say the found the problem. What they discovered was that when the power company buried the power lines they drilled through my sewer line with the electrical line. the Drain Wizard team worked with the power company to rectify the problem until 10 PM when they were finally successful.
Drain Wizard saved me cutting down a mature tree which the the other companies identified as the problem. It was not the problem.
Would give DW 10 stars if I could.
