I have been doing business with Texas Plumbing and Jerry Brown for several years and was really surprised at the response to their total lack of competence on this call.  I work from home so I was able to shadow the repairman for the most part.  This was a simple call and I had the same exact thing done two years earlier.....unclog the AC drain line and replace two faucet cartridges......it was completed in less than 1 hour.  Had no issue with the work or the payment....fair all the way around.  This time it was quite a bit different to say the least.  Instead of using an O2 cartridge to blow the line out (which worked perfectly fine in the past), he was trying to use and air compressor that maxed out at 70psi and to no ones surprise it wasn't working,  To top it off, he broke the threaded pvc piping that went into the AC which left the threads in the connection.....we'll get back to that.  After watching the repairman fumble around with the STILL clogged line and broken threads in the AC for over an hour, I decided I had to get involved.  I went and got him my sprinkler head extractor tool to get the threads out and after watching him jack around with that for 10 minutes, I suggested that I hit the handle with a hammer while he turn it and what do you know it worked!......(even though he trashed my attachment by grabbing it with his channel locks in the wrong place)  After several more trips to his truck, he replaced all the broken pvc and moved on to the line that was STILL clogged.  Knowing that the air compressor simply wasn't going to work, I asked him if he had an o2 cartridges and he said no.  So I suggested that we use my 6.5hp all vac to blow the line out.  I went downstairs and got an attachment (used to blow up mattresses) switched the hose and what do you know the line was finally cleared two hours into the call.  I was a little aggravated, to say the least, considering that I had been his apprentice and came up with all the ideas to solve the issue.  I'll spare you the rest of the details, but I think you get the point.  On to the cartridges, as I suspected he had those knocked out in a timely fashion.

Invoice time rolls around and he smacks a $404 bill in front of me....I was a little put off by this considering all that had transpired.  I called the owners and his wife answered stating that Jerry (the owner) wasn't in.  Gave her a snapshot of what the issue was and we decided to wait until I could speak with Jerry.  Jerry called me the following afternoon, we went through the scenario and he had the gall to offer me a 10% ($31.00) discount off the net of the bill for a job that should have taken under an hour and that I (the customer) had to be the apprentice for!  He said that was the best he could do and I let him know that if that is the best he has not only lost a customer but all the many referrals that I have given them over the last 10 plus years.  He didn't seem to concerned and I guess I shouldn't be too surprised given the experience I just had.  Buyer beware......if encounter incompetent repairman JACKING around for 2 and a half hours, you are going to have to pay!  In closing, I would hate to see what the bill would have been if I didn't do most of the work!

We used this company to fix our bathroom faucet.  I had to take 3 days off of work to meet them as they did not have right supplies to fix - I can certainly understand that one time, but 3?  I was so frustrated.  Now they won't come back to fix the problem they never fixed right to begin with.  Stay away is my opinion.

I have used them for 15 years for all my plumbing needs. They have done a great job for a fair price. They have replaced my water heaters twice over the years, replaced a gas line, cleared a drain line and completed several minor repairs.

We had a great experience.  We sent a message through the website that we needed a new water heater and had a leaking shower faucet.  We got a call that evening that they would call in the morning.  Received their call at 8:30 Monday morning, technician was there at 9:15, water heater and faucet replaced shortly thereafter.  Quick and easy.

For those of us who don't have a family member that's in the  plumbing business and even for those who do I highly recommend Texas Plumbing.
I believe that Texas Plumbing is the home for THE BEST plumbers in the area.   Their office staff is friendly and helpful.   The plumbers arrive punctionaly (and we have used them many times during the last 15 years).   They are unfailingly knowledgeable, courteous and completely reliable.   Whatever the problem, they fix it right at the most economical price the first time and whenever possible they suggest cost effective alternatives.   Their work is scrupulously honest in time, material and workmanship.
What sets Texas Plumbing apart in my mind is they are the kind of company that just doesn't plug the leak in the dam they fix the dam problem (pun intended).
I'm am more than a Texas Plumbing customer,  I'm a fan.

I have used Texas Plumbing several times. They have always been very prompt and reasonably priced. I've used them for a couple of minor plumbing issues and I've used them for a major renovation where they replaced my tankless water heater and added plumbing for instantly available hot water in every bathroom of my house.  They did an excellent job!  I would highly recommend this company to take care of your plumbing issues.

I don't usually write reviews. That's how great my experience was. They were responsive, timely, professional AND totally reasonably priced. They quickly fixed an old, leaky shower that had been making our water bill more than double what it usually is and I couldn't be more grateful.

This company installed a new gas line in my back yard in Nov 2009. It cost 3291.00 and passed inspection. Now in Dec 2014 the gas company has found a leak in same line. Texas Plumbing says  it passed inspection when put in and now1 yr warranty is up. No discounts of any kind were offered to dig up line and possibly put a new line in. Nothing happened in the grassy yard above the line in 5 yrs. However I was made  aware that they stopped using the materials that they put in my yard due to too many problems.    The installer who came out was very friendly and likeable. He could not find the leak by digging up just each end of the line where the risers are and it appears the entire line will need to be dug up or suggested a new line just be put in was made. That determination cost me another 187.00 with my senior discount.  I think paying 3,291.00 every 5 years for this is outrageous. I cannot recommend this company to anyone at this point.

We had a great experience with Texas Plumbing. They came out to our home within 10 minutes of calling them, yes we live close to their business. They immediately identified the need for a new panel for our water heater. Told us that part may take two to three days. They called the next day, part had come in and they installed the next morning. Great service, great communication, we now have a go to plumbing service. Highly recommend.
