ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

Jay Mayabb/ Master Plumber M-36642. I have multiple credentials in the Plumbing industry and have Studied Plumbing systems in America and have researched Plumbing systems around the world. I grew up working with My Dad in Oklahoma and as a kid was exposed to a lot of Commercial Plumbing systems. We did a lot of jobs that others wouldn't or couldn't do. Very challenging stuff. Worked in and out of Chemical labs, research facilities, Phone company buildings, etc. We also serviced residential. In 2003, My wife and I needed a change, so we moved to California. I worked for a large service company for 3 months, but didn't like the way they ran business. It was All Business and Quality was compromised every day. My wife and I opened our own company and it quickly Grew. At one point, we had 5 guys and 4 trucks running around. It was crazy. We decided to start a Family, but all of our family was in Texas and Oklahoma. So, My wife found Frisco, TX. I love it here.

Jay is a consummate professional. He spent twenty minutes with me on my initial phone call fully explaining everything involved in replacing my two hot water heaters. On the day of installation, he spent another twenty minutes or so showing me every step before starting. He answered all of my questions in detail and never once seemed put out.

I received three other quotes from large plumbing contractors prior to going with Jay. In every case I spoke to a customer service agent who gave me line pricing and read off a prompt. They all had the same disclaimer that pricing may change at the time of installation. That's typical, but the point is none of them gave me the attention and were able to answer my initial questions without sending a technician to my house. Who wants to hassle with multiple appointments. Anyway, Jay was competitive with the other quotes (toward to higher end), but his thoroughness was well worth a few hundred dollars when you are doing such an involved job.

Furthermore, Jay doesn't cut any corners! He uses all new parts of the highest quality (he will detail all of it with you) and does all of the work himself. ALL OF THE WORK BY HIMSELF!

This was my first experience with him, but he came highly recommended by neighbors. I will be using him for all future plumbing needs.

Jay has been my plumber for the last 8 or so years. I met Jay when I attempted a DIY plumbing job that ended up with disastrous results. Jay came in and fixed the problem, then assisted in providing the necessary knowledge to move forward with the aftermath of my own handy-work. Since then Jay has been our go to man for all aspects of plumbing, from the inside of the house to the outside with the water control valve. Jay's integrity, knowledge and attention to detail mean you won't have to worry about the workmanship or having a house that doesn't meet city code requirements. I highly recommend Plumbing by Jay.

Plumbing by Jay is one of the most professional businesses I have dealt with. I had an issue with my toilet and gave them a call. They were able to come out the following day and look into the problem. I had been doing research and getting quotes over who to choose and Plumbing by Jay was the solution. They gave me a quote which was reasonable and I had my problem fixed in that same week. I appreciate a company that helps in a timely manner and double checks their work so you have no problems in the immediate future.

Our water heater went out, we called another plumbing company and they insisted we would need to replace both of our water heaters, costing over $3000. We set the appointment for them to come out and replace them later today. In the meantime, a friend/neighbor recommended we call Jay. We did and he was kind enough to walk us through the steps to relight the pilots to both of our water heaters and solved the problem. This was done at no cost. We know we will eventually have to replace our water heaters, and when that time comes, we will have Jay come and do the job. Plumbing by Jay has earned a loyal customer today! Thank you for being honest and saving us money today.

Additional review for Plumbing by Jay...after a fairly minor visit, we knew our hot water heaters were probably on the edge of utter failure...our 3 were installed in 2007, so on the extreme side of shelf life for H2O heaters. Typical 8-10 if lucky. Jay did a quick visit after other visit to give us a quote and was super thorough regarding attic H20 heaters to include an intelligence leak detection so if there's ever any kind of leak or water w/in the pan, an auto shutoff occurs on valve in addition to an alarm/beeping to let you know. Yes an additional small cost but knowing anyone who's not had, the damage is not good. Jay was awesome on install day, was prepared to lay down drop matts everywhere and did his magic. 3 new H20 heaters and able to indicate 1 was about to go, so very lucky to get him in when we did. Great pricing, great customer service. Extremely happy and highly recommend Jay for all plumbing needs. Not gonna post pics cuz who wants to see H20 heaters in attic?? But if needed I would/could...don't delay if yours is 7+ years old. Better safe than sorry.

My 20+ year-old majestic trees in the front yard have evil, invasive roots that lurk below the surface....crushing sewer pipes to bits! The result? Major plumbing FAIL.
In the end, NOTHING can get past its gnarly wrath to the city's main line to carry it away to wherever it goes. Instead of going into the abyss, the sewage contents projectile vomit onto the first level of my house floor :(

I hired Plumbing by Jay for the 3rd time to handle my plumbing needs.
It's a BIG damn deal to fully repair but he shows up that same day to band-aid it until permits are secured etc.

The broken pipe many feet below the earth was finally replaced and all systems go! He could have charged me triple the price but didn't as his competitor's quoted prior to this disaster.

Jay is an honest and stand-up guy! From leaky faucets/toilets to replacing main lines, Plumbing by Jay is the go-to plumber for all of your plumbing needs!

I can't say enough positive things about Jay. We needed new hot water heaters and he suggested we go from the 3 we had currently to 2. He saved us money and we didn't notice any difference! We're on vacation and our neighbor calls, the gas company has smelled gas & cut off our service! All the while, we're 2,000 miles away. Through Yelp we found Plumbing by Jay, they went over to our house, fixed the leak and dealt with the city & gas company for us. When the inspector came and found more problems they continued to work with the city on rectifying the situation and getting a clean inspection.

Shaun was in our loft for hours in 100 degree weather, but from the first communication to the final sign off, Plumbing by Jay were professional, friendly and reliable. They saw the whole project through from beginning to end and charged a very fair price especially considering all the comings & goings over 4 days.

We are thrilled to have finally found a great local plumber & highly recommend them.

I called Jay in the morning and he was able to get out to do my repair the same day. He was prompt, knowledgeable and courteous. He diagnosed my hot water heater problem and had it repaired promptly. Jay had to replace a thermostat and both elements and gave me a very good price on the work. I would definitely use his company again and I highly recommend Plumbing by Jay to others.

I hired Jay to repair a loose kitchen faucet. I had two other plumbers come and look at the issue and Jay was the only one to identify the underlying issue on why the faucet kept coming loose. He installed a brand new faucet at a price much less then Berkeys and also adjusted the sink placement, which was the cause of the issue. He truly is a master plumber who does excellent work at a competitive price. I would highly recommend him for any plumbing needs.

How many plumbers will show up to an appointment ON TIME (early even) first thing in the morning, looking sharp, and ready to take-on the call? Well, Jay, owner of Plumbing by Jay sure did this morning. He intently listened to my plumbing problem and then was off to work on diagnosing the issue. Within a few minutes he reported What you're hearing is minor. If you want we can make that little sound go away for $250. When I asked what he would do in my position he said If it's not a big deal to you and you're the only one hearing it, leave it alone, it's not harming anything. We'll fix it next time you need to replace a water heater. Jay absolutely ROCKS! He has always provided 'Wow!' service.

Absolutely Great Service by Plumbing by Jay

So I get home one afternoon and I notice a huge puddle of water in my front yard by the water meter. I call the city of Frisco and they tell me they can send someone out to check it out, but that if the leak isn't on the city side of the meter, that they won't fix it and they'll have to shut off my water until I do fix it. Well, I look up plumbers in Frisco and I find Plumbing by Jay. He got a good review, so I called him. He came to my house that afternoon, helped me dig up the yard to find the leak, determined it was on my side of the meter and he had the whole thing fixed, and the dirt put back over the hole before the city even made it to my house.

Then, on the day I'm moving out of my house in Frisco, we're unhooking the water line to my refridgerator, and the valve is broken and won't shut off. Well, I'm paying the movers by the hour, and we can't get the refridgerator unhooked until we can turn the water off at the main. I call Jay's #...he's in the area and swings by my house, turns the water off for me, and then caps the valve so we can turn the water back on for now, to fix the valve later. What a guy. A great plumber, but most of all, just a great person to work with.
