Once again, Pelayo Plumbing delivers.  We came home last night to find our hot water heater had leaked all over the garage and utility room and was making a funny noise.  I emailed Michael at about 9 p.m. and he called me right away, telling me he could replace it the next afternoon.  He showed up on time, replaced the water heater, plus installed a pan and a drain to prevent flooding from happening again.  All for the very reasonable price he had quoted us the night before. They are definitely our go-to plumbers for any job we have. I'm so thankful we only had to do gym-showers one day!

Mike has been wonderful the few times we have used him and has always recommended how to save money and done a great job! Very honest and reliable. Highly recommend him.

I called Pelayo Plumbing to help me install two hot water re-circulation pumps. Right from the start, Michael was super helpful and answered all my questions. He arrived to the appointment right on time, installed the pumps, fixed a few leaky faucets, and was on his way. His prices are totally reasonable, the work was done perfectly, and most important Michael is just a very cool person to work with. Seriously: best plumber I've ever used.

Had kitchen sink issues and decided to turn to Yelp for advice.  Found Mike Pelayo, and what a find he is!  He arrived early, was totally professional, explained what he was doing and why,  He tried the easy fix hoping that might do the trick, but then went to serious work snaking across the house.  The price he charged seemed fair, but I don't know what's fair since this is my first house and first plumber.  If there is a negative, it is only that he doesn't take credit cards -- but he was perfectly willing to leave me a bill to pay when you can.  He is a genuine good guy who I would recommend to anyone

These guys are the real deal. My mom had a bathtub filling up with water, and of course it happened over the Labor Day weekend. No one was open!  The earliest her normal plumber could get there was three days. With a tub filling with water, she couldn't wait three days. I quickly got on Yelp and contacted three of the closest plumbers with good reviews. Two of them contacted me right away (which I appreciated) that they were booked. Mike called an hour later saying he could be there in 30 minutes. Not only did his brother Jason show up on time,  he fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. Put my mom at ease and fixed a potential flood problem in a matter of minutes. Thank you Mike and Jason!

I had them come repair the w/d faucets. There are two brothers that work together. They are honest and communicate with their customers. I informed them of the problem in advance, and they we're able to diagnose the issue and provide an accurate quote. What I love is there is an hourly rate, and they can tell you in advance what to expect!!! Awesome job!! Will definitely refer others and use again when the need arises!!!

Although my water heater still worked it was time to replace it. I called around to several places. I found these reviews on here and decided to give Pelayo Plumbing a try compared to the all the companies that have all the commercials and overpriced specials. His price I would say was lower then all the others. Price was quoted over the phone, there was no up selling or you need this part and that part. He arrived right on time, did the job fairly quickly for what it was.

You never think about the hot water until your tank goes out then it seems like that's all you think about until you get it fixed. Then, panic if you don't know a good, honest plumber so I thought of Yelp. I was a little skeptical of the five star rating but called anyway and glad I did. He gave me a quote and came right over to replace the tank. When I got the bill it was $150 less. He told me it was because I had a electric tank instead of gas. I had already agreed to the quote, he never had to tell me that it was cheaper but he did. Thank God! I finally found an honest plumber!

Mike and Jason saved Thanksgiving!  I walked into my kitchen this morning to find my sink filled with ugly brown water after doing a load of laundry.  Uh oh. This not good.  The guys were able to squeeze me in and saved the pre-Thanksgiving preparations.  They got me up and running quickly and efficiently and didn't charge an arm and a leg. Mike is the real deal, folks!

We had some snafus with the job, I wasn't too happy, but to the owner's great credit he didn't charge me.   That is admirable.  I will try them again next time I need a plumber.  Anyone who runs a business like that must have been a victim of miscommunication and or circumstances.  Recommended.

I have used Mike in the past for replacing my hot water heater, so I contacted him to help with a leak in my sprinkler system.  Mike called me back and told me that he would have to charge plumber rates and that I might be able to get better rates from a service that specializes in sprinkler systems.  I wound up calling a sprinkler service and still paid about the same price.  I would have preferred to pay Mike even though the other service did a good job.

I appreciate Mike's honesty in trying to help me save money.  This is a trait of a service provider that has the customer's best interest at heart.  I will always go to Mike as my first choice for repair work even if it might cost a little more.  I am confident that he will do the job right.

I no longer have to scroll through Yelp or ask friends to try to find a plumber.  I had a great experience with them.  Called Friday - they came out Monday (not an emergency) and Mike had me fixed up by noon.  (Came a little early / Mike called ahead to make sure).  Super friendly, clean. FYI - They installed a toilet, installed a vanity, replaced the leaky hot/cold valves for the washer (they were a mess) and told us what we would have to do to fix the various other little issues I had around the house... some of which I will call them on at a later time.  Highly recommended!   For the record, I've worked with two other highly rated plumbers on Yelp and this was by far the best experience.

Mike Pelayo has become our go-to plumber after making a great first impression when installing a new hot water heater. He is quick, seems to enjoy his job, does excellent work, and goes above and beyond to ensure his customers are satisfied. For example, when installing the new hot water heater, he noticed a few other things that needed to be fixed, mentioned them to me, and then fixed them at no additional charge. As another example, I asked him to stop by recently to address a number of smaller items. He finished the work quickly -- in about 35 minutes -- but rather then leaving immediately and charging me his one hour minimum fee, he asked if there was anything else that needed to be repaired. So I quickly brainstormed a list of minor annoyances (e.g., two drains that drained slow) and he started working his way through the list. I will continue to call Mike whenever I have a plumbing issue, and I strongly encourage anyone else to do the same.

This is a fantastic plumbing company.  The plumber showed up 30 minutes early, took his shoes off before entering the house, didn't smoke, used respectful language, installed better parts than what was provided with the toilet set, did efficient work, explained all charges, and the bill was more than fair.  I had a toilet (that I purchased) perfectly installed, with a new flange, new intake, and the old toilet hauled away for 215.  Great work fellas!

I've used Pelayo Plumbing on many occasions for minor things like installing new toilets or a garbage disposal or a new kitchen faucet. My last call to them, however, involved a genuine repair.

We noticed a foul smell in our laundry room. At first we thought it was just a dead rotting animal. After some investigation, we could not find any decaying animals. We also found what looked like water damage near a valve in the wall. We became immediately concerned about water / mold damage in the wall (and all that could possibly entail), so we made an appointment with Pelayo Plumbing.

Five days later, Jason Pelayo came out to our house to take a look at our situation. He cut out about one square foot of Sheetrock. Thankfully, only the thin layer of paint was moist. The rest of the Sheetrock was bone dry. He determined that a seal came loose that let in sewer gas, hence the smell. I presume that the gas seeped out and damaged the paint. He fixed the seal and put everything back together. The smell quickly dissipated. We were thrilled that there was no mold damage and that we wouldn't need a contractor for other repairs. Jason only charged us for a standard service call.

I highly recommend Pelayo Plumbing for all of your Plumbing needs. They are honest, punctual, and they won't take you for a ride.

Mike came out and fixed everything we needed quick. Honest, affordable and efficient,  we'll be using these plumbers if we ever need to.

Thank God I found Pelayo Plumbing  through Yelp. My 83 year old mom has used Michael three times for repairs and fixture installation. He is quick to respond to calls, dependable and honest. His prices are very fair and he does excellent work.

We've used Pelayo several times for various plumbing tasks at our home - including faucet installation, toilet repair, etc. They are talented, thorough, friendly to work with, and reasonably priced.  They've become our go-to plumbing source - we can heartily recommend them.

Pelayo Plumbing has come to my home numerous times. The first time they came to unclog the washer machine drain, inspect refrigerator line, and replaced the garbage disposal. The second time, we had a leak in the wet bar in which they came the next day to replace valves and turn water back on. Third, they properly fixed our toilets that was missing parts and was leaking. They also found a blocked outdoor drain. They are very responsive, provide recommendations, and always early to appointments. Cost of labor and parts seem to meet industry standard, if not better. I would definitely recommend.

Mike and Jason came back out today and completed a job for me.  The problem was much worse than we expected.  They did a very thorough replacement of a complicated sink tub and shower connection.  They showed up slightly ahead of time which was just fine, way better than being late! The price was fair and the work was completed within 2 hours. These are honest hard working guys. Nice to use a contractor of any kind who is timely and honest..

I purchased a Water heater and contacted Pelayo Plumbing to do the Installation after seeing their Awesome reviews on Yelp.  We scheduled a date and time and to my surprise, they were ringing my door bell at the exact time they were supposed to be here.  How many Plumbers have you tried calling, and you end up waiting for hours before they even call to tell you they are running late?  Not this company!  The Installation was very clean, and I could not be happier with their service.  I will ONLY use this company for all my Plumbing needs.  Thanks guys!

Very friendly and courteous service. My parents have used pelayo a few times now and they have been very quick to respond and provide very reasonable prices along with great service. They even told my folks not to swap out some things around the house for new items as the repair wouldn't be worth it - its hard to find anyone that is this honest.

Selling a house and planning a move was becoming a huge burden on as my wife and I are both working professionals.  We were in need of a water heater replacement based on findings on a home inspection report from the buyer and needed a fairly quick turnaround.  I looked at options at the big box stores and even called a few plumbers in the area to determine what my best options were.  After not liking the water heater options I found at Lowe's or Home Depot, I decided to go with a plumber in the area that had a solid reputation as well as reasonably priced.  Mike came out with another person and took care of the swap in about an hour.  I was happy about the replacement being the same as what came with our home originally.  He even gave me tips on how to extend the life of our water heater for the future.  I really appreciated all the hard work it took in getting the water heater replaced as it was in the attic and seemed to be a fairly cumbersome job for your standard everyday DIYer.  I was happy to see that Mike welded the pipe instead of using flex hosing too.  I'm definitely planning on giving Pelayo Plumbing future work if we encounter anything plumbing-related.

I'm in my first house, haven't even made my first mortgage payment yet, and the toilet in the master bath stops working.  It's acting like it's clogged, but a healthy amount of plunger action by me doesn't resolve the issue, so I reach out on Yelp and find a plumber with all five-star reviews (even in the not recommended section).  It would be hard to think such perfection exists in the service / professional trade industry:  There's got to be a catch.

No catch.  Mike and Jason came out to my place, and in 30 minutes (drive up to hand washing) fixed my toilet issue.  Not only were they competent, but also forthcoming with my new-to-home-ownership questions.  I asked about other issues such as possible problems with my hot water heater, and they looked into them for free (including observing the city meter to make sure I didn't have a hot water leak in the house).

And not only were they quick *and* competent, but I believe they were fairly-priced.  $110.00 for service call / labor (for two plumbers).  $6.50 for replacement wax seal.  $0.54 for tax (yes, they don't tax their labor like most folks).

They may not offer any of the outlier services, such as tank-less water heater or Turkish toilet installation, but if I ever have *any* plumbing issues I don't want to tackle myself, I'm calling Pelayo Plumbing.

I called Mike when my water heater busted.  He gave me a good quote for the installation and he stuck by his quote with no surprises.  Same day service, and he managed to come earlier than he had planned which is always a plus!  He was a real pro and it's clear he knows his business and takes pride in his work.  I'll definitely use Pelayo Plumbing for my future plumbing needs!

This is the 2nd time that I am using Pelayo Plumbing this year. This time it was for my rental. Jason (like the last time) was very professional and personable (and punctual). Got all the work done without trying to up-sell. Will definitely use them again.

These guys came running to both houses when we had plumbing issues in midst of a move.  They did a super great job at a very fair cost. Nicest brothers you'll ever meet, too. One came to one house and the other came to the other house. These boys are definitely on my permanent vendor list!

I needed a plumber due to an overflowed floor drain from an under counter ice maker.  I had pulled out the ice maker and ran drano down the hole, which I thought worked until I let the dishwater out of the nearby kitchen sink.  It was either go to Home Depot for a snake and a new mop or call a professional.  Went with a pro.
Found Michael Pelayo on yelp, and gave him a call because of the good reviews.  Glad I did.  He came out same day, later that afternoon.  I explained over the phone the problem and he quoted me a reasonable price.  When he got there, he snaked out the drain and found what could have been some left over construction debris.  I had gotten some bad smells in the house from the drain, so he walked me through the operation of the in floor P trap, where it was, how it was connected to the sink drain, and also the makeshift trap primer the original plumbers put in.  He gave me some tips on the smell and how to keep the drain clear.  We flushed out the full sink and water down the drain, no more problems.  
I figured while I had a plumber nearby i'd ask about a few other problems.  He cleaned the master shower of what appeared to be either a baby wookie or my wife's hair, and replaced an O ring on an outside faucet that was leaking.  He walked me through both procedures so I could do it all again if needed, which I appreciated.
In the end, he charged me only for the service call, which was less than the originally quoted price.
I always appreciate the demystification of household operations, Michael was friendly, respectful (always removed shoes at the door when I didn't have to ask), and informative.  And the price was fair, even not downright great.

I had to replace my hot water heater and called 2 plumbers. Michael gave me the better warranty than the other company for the same hot water heater. He did a good job, was on time, and called the night before to confirm my appointment. I had a good experience with this company and would recommend them.

Awesome!  Honest plumbers are hard to come by these days, and Mike is definitely one of those.  He came all the way to my house (which isn't in any way near Sachse) and told me how to fix it (I just had to order a FREE part from Moen for my faucet) and quickly and easily install it.  He was here for 5 minutes and wouldn't even let me pay him a dime!!  Its so great to know there is someone out there that is hard working and honest....if I could give him 6 stars, I would!!!

Highly recommend Mike over any master plumber in the Dallas area. Polite, considerate, excellent work ethic, prompt and very respectful of our home.  He's been our go-to plumber since 2005.  Mike did all of the plumbing on our renovation (90 yr old house), gas line work too. Reasonable priced too.   The downside is that he is so busy now, it is hard to book him without a few days wait. If you can book him, you won't be disappointed.

Mike is a super nice, polite guy. Really responsive to calls and uses texts, which I find especially helpful. Was easy to schedule. Came promptly and let me know ahead of time when he was coming. Took his shoes off before he came into my house (this is really considerate -- I'm Asian and live in a shoe-free house). He did great work, quickly and efficiently, but also took the time to go over and beyond in being helpful, answering my questions and installing new valves for me where I needed them. Mike's just one guy with a lot of customers, so he can't really do emergency work, but if you have a project he is fantastic. Super reliable, will be there when he says he will. Quality work. Never had a bad experience, have done faucet installs, sinks, garbage disposal with him.

We just had these guys out to proactively replace our 15 year old water heaters. The punctual service with a smile and professionalism was elite and appreciated. Unlike many other companies that change the price once they show up, we were charged was was verbally agreed upon. After numerous calls to other plumbers, they had the best prices too. If we have any other plumbing needs, we know who to call.

I'm retired and have used a lot of Plummers over the years.  Pelayo does high quality work and has been my best experience to date.  I can recommend them with high confidence.

Jason was amazing and answered any question I had. Very informative about so much. Showed up before time mentioned and completed the job very quickly.

We needed an outdoor faucet replaced.  It was leaking and corroded - probably 20 years old.  He came out the next day and was done in about 45 min.  Very professional.  Reasonably priced. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone.

They came out for a wax ring job that i personally didnt want to do..and a slow drain.

The slow drain was just a matter of gunky stopper. no big deal. he guy didnt try an work me over.
He also noticed a busted gasket in the toilet tank and a crummy tank line hose...cheap fixes, too. go ahead! pls fix ALL my toilet woes!

my favorite part was probably just luck..... when he replaced my wax ring, it magically was fit correctly and my toilet doesnt rock anymore. he probably just seated it correctly, whereas my initial install may have been flubbed a bit... either way... i'd pay the money just to not have a rocking chair style toilet...hahahah BONUS!

fair pricing - they price per 15 mins after the first hour. so you aren't paying for 2 full hours when a guy was only out for 1 hour and 15 mins.

I called Mike for issues with hot water pressure.  Since he was here I asked him to fix slow tub drains. He was on time, super polite, and fixed all issues quickly. I now have a plumber I can trust in the area. I will call him every time I have a plumbing need in the future. You should too!

Pelayo is my first choice in plumbing everyday of the week. They are prompt, reasonable and clean. Not much else to say. They are the best!

Exceptional service. Major gut job of our master bath.   I had Pelayo Plumbing install a Tile Ready shower pan; mixing valve and deverter for shower. and they capped off the old lines for the extra sink and old shower.  Jason had to dig out the old bathtub drain and install a new 2 drain for the walk in shower.  Talk about precision, It would have taken me days to do what he did in half a day.  These guys are professional; do quality work; and don't charge an arm and a leg.

I needed a plumber and looked on yelp to help me find a good one.  I decided to call Pelayo Plumbing and I am glad I did.  Michael quoted a reasonable price over the phone.  He arrived on time and finished the job in under 20 minutes.  Michael charged me LESS than what he quoted over the phone.  When I asked him why he charged me less he said it was because he did not have to do as much work as he expected.  Michael even fixed a leaky faucet that was not part of the original job for free!  Overall he did an excellent job, was pleasant to work with and his prices were very reasonable.  I will be using his services from now on whenever I have the need.  A++.

If you need a plumber, call Mike. This dude is awesome! We had a clog in the kitchen and the guest bathroom so we were in desperate need of a plumber. I've been through several plumbers in the past and none which I would rave about. Read some reviews and Mike Pelayo had some great online reviews. Well, he was able to come out early on a Monday morning and just fixed the problem.

Mike was super courteous and provided very helpful tips and advice. It's the small things that go a long way and that was the case with Mike as well. After he fixed the clog, he noticed that one of the toilets wasn't flushing as well so he replaced the old handle with a better fitting one at no charge.    

I have some other work which needs to be done so I plan on getting together with Mike to do some serious overhaul in this old house.

It's hard finding a reliable, trustworthy plumber regardless of where you live. I would HIGHLY recommend Mike. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Mike and Justin are fantastic. Not only are they reasonably priced, but they're also the only plumbers I've found that will do things like an R.O. water filtration system installation - and even transfer installation (i.e. uninstall it and move it from the old house to another and properly install it at the new location, too).

Justin is a true pro. We had an issue at our new house with a wobbly poorly installed toilet and Justin came out and fixed it within a day reinstalling it on what turns out to be slightly uneven floor tile.

A week or so later it got just a little wobbly again and he came back out and REALLY secured it using some plumbing shims and heavy-duty caulk to seal them in place and said no charge.

These guys really stand by their work. If you need dedicated professionals who show up on time, have reasonable prices, and you want to support a local business over some franchise or big national chain, Pelayo Plumbing is my recommendation.

Seriously... The most gracious and high quality plumber we have used.  We had a company come out a month ago for another issue and they were very rude/expensive.  We were looking for someone that cared, did great work and was affordable. After reading Mike's reviews, we decided to call.  We could not have been happier.  He worked fast, charged a very reasonable amount and explained what he was doing in a very gracious manner.  Will definitely use him again if needed, and highly recommend him.

These guys are a class act in every respect. Our hot water heater started leaking right before Christmas. They were able to come out to check it out, give us a quote, and schedule to fix it during the busy holiday period. The price was right and the service was amazing. They installed the new water heater in no time. It is so refreshing to find a company with people I trust completely and enjoy doing business with. So so so happy to find a plumber who does excellent work for a reasonable price.  I had a leaky toilet and had to turn off the water to the house to keep from flooding -  I called Pelayo due to the positive reviews.  Mike came out within a couple of hours, fixed the problem quickly, and didn't charge me an arm and a leg like other plumbers I have used in the past.  I am thrilled to find an excellent plumber since I live in an older home, and Pelayo Plumbing will definitely be my first call for any other plumbing needs that may arise.  Highly recommend Mike Pelayo!

I contacted Pelayo Plumbing based on the reviews here on Yelp. Mike answered and was very nice and informative. I normally do all home repaired my self but was unable to this time. I had called several national chain plumbing companies and none would give me any pricing or other info without a technician coming out for a 60 to 80 dollar service call. Mike told me exactly how much his service call would be and offered to be here in a few hours. I opted for next day service and here arrived early and completed the job in a timely manner. I would absolutely use him again if i was in a pinch.

Yet Another Impressed Yelper!

There was a water stain on the living room ceiling that was getting larger. Did a pipe burst? Was something wrong in the upstairs, master shower or toilet?  I was clueless.

I couldn't get in touch with my regular plumber so I jumped on Yelp to find a new one.  Can I just say?....God Bless Yelp!!

Mike answered the phone immediately. He was polite, professional and super nice.

As requested, he called me after he showed up to the house and before he proceeded to do any work. He explained what the issue was (in terms that didn't make me feel like a ding-dong).  His rates were extremely reasonable!!!!

Blessed Be to Sweet Baby Jesus the issue wasn't major - just the toilet tank kit went out and the toilet needed to be resealed at the base (which explains the leak).

My tenants later called to let me know that I should hang onto his information because they were impressed with him as well.

It's been a while since my last post, and it's probably evident that I seldom feel the necessity to post a review unless there is an immense emotional response received from the experience. The mundane mediocrity of averageness never warrants itself for a review from me.

With that being said, the honor of my first 5-star review goes to unlikely candidate. It's not an over-the-top upscale restaurant with exceptional cuisine, nor is it a hotel with the world's greatest amenities. It's something that I believe we take for granted in our everyday hustle and bustle - a good plumber.

This past week my water heater started leaking, and after 15 years of faithful service, it was time to replace the veteran. I promptly spent the next two days contacting different places trying to get the best deal I could. Not only was his pricing the most reasonable of the 20+ places I contacted, but when speaking to him on the phone, to my surprise he was actually willing to try to diagnose the issue over the phone and then give me (notice I did not use the word 'quote') an all inclusive price despite whatever building code upgrades would be needed. Some of the other places start off with a base quote and a vague 'I cannot tell you how much more it will cost to bring things up to code without sending someone out there', which I would be ok with except they would charge me for a site visit even if I did not decide to go with them. No, I'm not bitter, but I digress.

After deciding to go him, I called him up and scheduled a time when he could do the work. Michael showed up five minutes early to my house. I cannot remember the last time a contractor was on time, not to mention early... He showed up, we spoke, he went to work, finished things without delays, and I no longer needed to endure a cold shower. More importantly, my wife could finally have a hot shower. My hero.

I could stop here in hopes that you would take my recommendation based on his pricing and promptness, but that wouldn't be enough for a 5-star rating. After the work was finished he asked us when we wanted the city to come out to do the inspection. We gave him a day, and he set everything up for us. The day of the inspection, he called reminding us about the inspection and told us to let him know if anything went wrong. The inspector came, he inspected, and then handed us a nice little green tag announcing our victory over the city code. And we lived happily ever after.

The tale continues... He called us again a day later just to make sure everything went ok with the inspection. And we lived happiER ever after.

All joking aside, Michael is a stand-up, honest, professional plumber who gets the work done, and gets it done well. His promptness, politeness, and ability to deliver are what makes him a 5-star plumber in my book. I will be using him for all my future plumbing needs. To be honest, Michael's work and professionalism was the best that I have ever received in the service industry. So much so that I would have to say that it rivals my starry-eyed days as a youth, stomping on koopas and goombas with Mario and Luigi. Here's 5 fireworks and an extra 1-UP to Pelayo Plumbing. Water Heater went out on Monday night, Michael scheduled to come out Thursday morning but called on Tuesday to let me know his brother Jason was available Wednesday morning. Jason came out and did a great job, answered all of our random plumbing questions and finished in about 2.5 hours. On top of that, we were charged less than the original quote! Excellent pricing, nice guys, good work, I will definitely be using Pelayo in the future.

I told the brothers my water heater needed replaced. I was treated as a responsible person and they accepted my assessment.  They came, they saw, they plumbed, I had a new water heater. Perfect!

They were great with communication, showed up on time, and were completely up front with any pricing. Would highly recommend them.

I found Pelayo Plumbing on Yelp actually. The number of 5 star ratings was quite suspicious, but I decided to give him a call anyway because my other vendor that I typically use, Lex's Plumbing (who are also great by the way), were a bit pricey for a simple job like changing the faucet in the guest bathroom and swapping out the reverse drain on my dishwasher.  

Mike is I guess so popular that he is booked for atleast a week to week and half in advance.  Also he only takes cash, so please keep that in mind as well.

I called him and he gave me a very fair price and so I made an appointment with him to have him come out to do the work. Since I ordered the faucet myself on Amazon (given that I didn't want to go with a cheap quality one), Amazon for whatever reason sold only half the faucet to me. I had to supposedly buy the bottom half also which was sold separately.  So dumb if you ask me! Unfortunately I didn't find out about it until after Mike arrived and he pointed it out to me.  But he spent quite a bit of time taking out the old faucet from the sink because the old faucet had corroded so bad that it literally fused to the sink.  Somehow he managed to get the old faucet out without breaking the sink which was a huge help because the sink was around $300+, and that would have been another expense on top of this project that I was not expecting to spend.  He also took care of the reverse valve for my dishwasher.

The corrosion had left really bad rust stains, so he gave me some tips of the trade to try to avoid buying a new faucet.  Unfortunately we had to reschedule for a later time since I had to wait for the new parts to come in.  This also meant that I had to pay another service trip fee which is understandable from his perspective, but still a pinch to my pocket.  But it was my fault so there was nothing I could do about it.  Given that I had to pay another service fee, I figured I make the most of his 2nd trip and I decided to also have him install a Reverse Osmosis unit in my Kitchen.  He mentioned he would take care of them both when he arrives.  

In the meantime his tips helped me get 98% of all the rust out and also when the parts arrived, Mike came on time and installed the faucet along with the Reverse Osmosis system and walked me step by step on how to maintain it.  

I would highly recommend Mike for your future plumbing needs.  He is quite honest and good.  I would recommend though to be fully prepared as much as possible so you can avoid having him come out multiple times to avoid the trip charges.  But overall he is a solid and trustworthy Plumber you can rely upon!

Adam, with Palyo plumbing is professional and honest. I was referred to him using the Home Advisory Program to replace my bathtub faucet. He came to my home assessed the issue and ordered he parts. When he came back to repair the faucet he was given the wrong type of kit which he didn't notice (minute difference) until he took apart the faucet and was beginning the repair. So when he put everything back together until he got the new piece he noticed that the faucet was no longer dripping. A shady plumber would have not said anything just to make the money from the job. He made me aware that it was no longer dripping. I REALLY appreciated his honesty which is hard to come by now days. So now I do not have the added expense of replacing something that actually just needed tightened. I did compensate him for his time!

I use yelp quite frequently but have never felt compelled to write a review until now. I had a faulty water-heater, something about the thermal couple; being that my water heater was under warranty, I got the new part from APEX and searched for a plumber. After Baker Brothers came out twice, and wanted to charge more than the heater was worth, I took to yelp and found Pelayo. He was extremely professional, very knowledgeable and fixed my water-heater in no time. I've never been so impressed with a plumbing service in my life. I wish I could give him a sixth star, but five will have to suffice.

This company is very honest and has excellent customer service! We have a leak in the bottom floor ceiling of a two story house and upon inspection instead of just cutting holes everywhere to try and find the issue they gave their honest recommendation to have a company who specializes in such repairs to come and check instead. Could not be more pleased with the service we received from Pelayo Plumbing. We called because we had water coming from the side of our house. They came out with in 2 days and were so knowledgeable. I've used Michael twice for plumbing issues.  Very courteous and affordable, and have never had an issue with his work.  Usually call him after I've fiddled with it myself for too long and get frustrated.  What would take me three hours and still get wrong takes him ten minutes and is done right.  I really need to get into the habit of just calling him first, and save myself the aggravation.

We called Mike based on his excellent Yelp reviews and I am very glad we did. He is by far THE best plumber we have had fix anything at our house. Our house was built in 2004 and Legacy/Meritage Homes used the absolute cheapest plumbing fixtures that the toilets attached to the floor with. Mike came out very quick and had us fixed up with a new brass flange in an hour at a very good price. He even came back to fix a leaky valve because I'm sure it wasn't a good valve to start with but now it's top notch.

We will use Mike again real soon for some more work we want done and will refer our friends and neighbors who need plumbing work. A++++

Pelayo is very honest and professional he was here at my home for 40 minutes he found out that the leak was under my bath tub it needs to take out the tub in order to fix it.  We are in the process of remodeling the bath room. My husband decided one person to do the work. Mike and Jason are awesome. Have used them twice now , once for a water heater install and second time for leaking shower both times were on time and did excellent work. Very professional and helpful and their prices are better than any other companies I called for quotes. Will only be using pelayo from here on out.

Our hot water heater had a pipe burst due to the cold weather, Jason came out to investigate and told me which part to buy and once the part was delivered came back to install. Straight forward and fair, he's very easy to work with and I would recommend. He also installed a shower head in the upstairs bathroom, I don't even think he charged me for it since it took 2 mins to install. I would use them again.

We just moved into a new house in Allen. There is no gas outlet for our gas dryer. We called Pelayo Plumbing after reading all the nice reviews fellow yelpers wrote for this company. Unlike another plumber we called, who charges based on hours, Mike gave us a fixed price quote which is very reasonable. Mike arrived exactly on time. He fixed the problem efficiently. It took him an hour and half to fix the problem, including a trip to get the part. Before he left, we asked him to check a clogged toilet sink. Guess what? He cleared the clog and didn't charge any extra! We completely agree with the other yelp reviewers here that he is the best plumber we ever had. If We can give him more stars we would!! Overall impression: punctual, polite, honest, fair price.

I wasn't expecting a great experience since what I've seen from plumbers in the past was pretty shady.  But these 2 guys came to my house and were INCREDIBLE!  They diagnosed and fixed my problem in no time!  They didn't mess around and waste time so they could charge me more or anything like that.  These guys know what they're doing and what they're talking about.  

Their pricing is VERY fair and cheaper than most.   They actually saved me money, in the end.  They were kind, considerate and above all professional.  I HIGHLY recommend these guys.  Now - i just need a handy man who is as good as this crew.

I've used him twice and I've read the horror reviews of other plumbers that will usually try to diagnose something unnecessary versus the real and less costly solution. I know there's not a ton of reviews for plumbing on yelp, but am glad the few on here led me to Mike. He's been on time or early to the two times I've used him. My water heater wasn't working and my roommate and checked one of the breakers which was fine...but apparently there were two breakers on the water heater. I understand the service fee for something as simple as turning on that hidden switch. The service fee was actually less than I expected ($35)  and I'm sure half of that is the gas he spent to get to my area from the listed location on yelp.

The second time he came was a problem with my toilet leaking. Turns out it was overflow that needed to be adjusted. I also asked if he had anything in him to seal my bathtub since my home builders neglected to do that. I was expecting the worst and thinking the toilet needed to be replaced, but was so glad to hear that it was just high water pressure cause an extra splash in the tank. Again, I'm sure you guys have dealt with this scenario and hear from another plumber you'd have to replace the toilet or something. Price point again for this visit was definitely less than I expected.

Mike and his brother, Jason, did an amazing job replacing our two water heaters in the attic. Mike shared all the details of the water heater make, model and all the parts he was going to use. He is very transparent and honest. He showed up with his brother on time. Explained to me the whole process before they got started. They finished the job in less than 2 hours. Mike took his time to answer all my questions and explained to me how I could flush the water heater myself once a year. Very honest and extremely reasonably priced (cost me third of what big companies quoted to replace two water heaters). The other companies wouldn't even tell me which model water heater they were going to install. Best of it all, I didn't have to clean the floors after they left. After feeling over charged when using a couple other plumbing services including Ernie's plumbing, I decided to search Angie's List for a new plumber. Upon seeing mixed reviews on just about everyone one, I turned to Yelp and found Pelayo Plumbing.  I'm glad I did as Mike is a truly great professional with reasonable prices who goes above and beyond to satisfy his customers.

My 12 year old, 50 gallon water heater was down to only giving us about 7 gallons of hot water and was in need of replacement. In the process, I decided to upgrade to a larger hot water capacity (being in a larger home with 3 girls and frequent guests). Mike gave me a great price for installing 2x 40 gallon water heater replacements.

When there was concern at the last minute about the amount of space available for the water heaters, he dropped by on the weekend in-between calls to verify that there was enough space for installation.

On the day of installation, Mike was actually able to show up earlier than anticipated and get the work done without any issues.

I am glad to say that I have found my go to plumber and would highly recommend Pelayo Plumbing to anyone else in need.

I can not begin to express how good they are.  I have had both of my water heaters get old over the past two years with one being in my attic failing very recent.  They got to me quickly and worked fast.  Excellent work with even a short lesson on how to make everything last longer.  I won't even consider looking for another company for any plumbing needs like my kitchen and two baths in the near future.

I saw the reviews here and decided to give them a try. They are 2 brothers. They arrived on time and got right to work. They explained everything to me and answered all of my questions. I had several things done, the toilet, faucet install and cartridge change and the big one was having a new disposal put in. They did a great job. I think the pricing was fair for all they did. I highly recommend these guys to any of my neighbors here in our area.

I don't have much to add to the already great reviews posted here.  However, Mike came out to troubleshoot some shower problems we were having.  He was very kind and helpful and was actually able to come out earlier than anticipated.  His prices were reasonable and he was very generous with his time for the initial visit.   We've found our plumber.  Excellent.

I have had these guys out four or five times over the past few years and I can sum up my experiences with them in two words: honesty and professionalism.

I had been using Mike for over 20 years.  Through the years he grew his business and is no longer a one man shop.  He supposedly cleared a line for me 30 days ago, but there are still problems. He wouldn't even consider the fact that there might still be a partial clog. No sir.  It was definitely somebody putting additional stuff down the drain.  
I was completely ASTOUNDED. I wasn't even wanting him to come out for completely free.  Figured we could work it out.   Nope!!!   Wouldn't even consider. Not the same Mike Pelayo.  Be Careful!!!!

I have used Mike at Pelayo Plumbing on 2 different occasions in the past 6 months, he replaced 2 water heaters, adding flood stop valves, and a kitchen sink & faucet. Both times his arrival was on time as promised and the work was professional and thorough. We had one small issue arise with the sink after installation and when I called him back he did not avoid my call and made arrangements to come back out asap to look it over and fix (and it ended up having nothing to do with his work). I think his prices were very fair, I would definitely use this company again, they have earned and deserve my business!

I have called Pelayo Plumbing twice in the last 3 months & have been utterly content with their service! We have found our permanent plumbers!!! Mike & his brother, Jason, sure know how to run a business! Courteous, lightning speed service, reasonable prices...I couldn't ask for a better company! The first time I called, Mike came out to repair a leak around our toilet. Super nice guy! Very knowledgeable. The second time, my husband talked with Mike on the phone about a leak we had outside from a faucet. Mike was going to come out, but since Jason was free earlier, he sent him out that same day we called. Jason located the leak, removed some brick to our house & installed a new pipe & faucet. While he was there, he showed us newbie home owners, where our water shutoff valve was, as well as sprinkler system shut off valve since we also had an irrigation system leak in the backyard. He also replaced my toilet kit since my last one was from the 80's & took a year to refill the tank. All of this at a very reasonable price since they charge by the hour plus materials. They both work extremely fast & do not waste time trying to up the hourly rate like a lot of contractors do. Very trustworthy...I really cannot say enough good things about these brothers! Kudos!
