UPDATE: After writing my initial review, I received a message, then a phone call from the business owner, Robert L. He reached out to me to personally inquire how he could help rectify my dissatisfaction to the initial service call. He ended up sending over a WONDERFUL electrician by the name of Steven, who fixed my problems and made my day with his bright and cheerful demeanor. We were in the middle of moving and he was just a breath of fresh air, during a time of chaos.
I am sincerely grateful to Robert for taking the time to reach out to me, with the utmost kindness and sincerity. He went above and beyond to let me know that he cared about me as a customer, and wanted above all, for me to be happy with the service I received from Mr. Electric. It isn't often that you get that kind of personalized service from an owner, so I am absolutely impressed and for this reason, I CAN and WILL recommend this business to my friends and neighbors. My experience with Mr E's business process: show up, offer outrageous price for simple ceiling fan installation, have offer declined, bill an appearance/dispatch fee, leave, repeat. Ignore phone calls from outraged customer.
Consumers: try to find dispatch fee disclosure by initial phone contact or website. Note the free estimate claim on the website
Prices were not very reasonable to install a light fixture and 2 fans. Additionally, the technician was not friendly at all. Extremely blah person that did not seem to care about his work/customer. It's unfortunate as the office staff was very friendly and responsive. Maybe their other technicians/electricians are better, but I would not recommend this company based off the person that was dispatched to my house.
We requested a quote for an outbuilding which is located out of the required limits for a permit or code inspection; however, we follow state code and expected that would be upheld in our quote. After receiving the quote, which was over 50% higher than other electricians, we were told by TWO other electricians and ONE additional contractor that an item in Mr. Electric's quote was in violation of state code. This raised a red flag so I did further inquiry. Result? Mr. Electric knew what they put in the bid, but since we requested a lower price point and did not require an inspection or permit, the item was placed in our quote. This is not acceptable to us so we went with another company and could not be happier. If there was a Zero rating, I would have chosen it. When something doesn't feel right - it probably isn't. This is my opinion, do your research. Blessings
This is honestly the WORST quality and customer service from a company I've ever received. This is not an exaggeration. They have been rejected for inspections multiple times for my home and have put a HUGE SETBACK in my progress. They have no sense of urgency and do not care about their work at all. They did not coordinate with inspectors nor did they even LOOK at what they didn't get approved on. This was an absolute mess. Waste of time and waste of money. Do not use this company.
Thanks for coming out on short notice. The whole
process took about 25min. I asked how much it would be to change out the GFIC switch. I already had the part and I wired incorrectly. They never responded and I called and left a message to call me before sending a tech out. Once the tech arrived they told me it would be 176.... Terrible customer service and I hope they saves someone from using this unprofessional company.

Not excited to pay a 50 dollar fee to have a company come tell me that I have a $$$ problem. A fee should only be based on whether or not I choose you as my service provider. Thanks for the quick reply.
We have used them several times in the last year. We purchased an older house that needed a lot of updating. They are always polite and professional. The electricians show up when they promise and willing to explain what work needs to be done and what can wait. An excellent company from the person who answers the phone to the apprentice.

I do not recommend this company to anyone and would like to share why. I was a first time customer of Mr. Electric Ft. Worth recently. I had an electrician install a ceiling fan in place of a flush mount light fixture and replace some bulbs in tall ceilings. Aaron was on time and courteous, however shortly after he left I realized he took the original flush ceiling mount light fixture as well as the box and papers that the ceiling fan came in with him when he left. He did not ask me if I wanted him to dispose of the trash and must have done so without me noticing otherwise I would have stopped him. I called the company to notify them that I wanted my original light fixture as well as the manual for the new fan installed from the box. They said they would contact Aaron to see if he still possibly had the items on his truck but likely not. I said if not, I would appreciate my bill being credited for the value of the light fixture at least. The representative without hesitation said well we can't do that because it would come out of Aaron's commission but we can replace the light- it was only worth $15-20. I was shocked. As someone who works in the customer service industry it also offended me. She did not ask me to provide a model number for my light fixture, description, picture, etc. to attempt to match it but instead made an assumption. Also, it has been a week since that phone call and I still have not received a follow up call with an update on when they plan to return to my home with whatever light they assume I owned... not professional at all nor the right thing to do. Clearly they are more concerned with their electrician's commission checks over their customer service protocols.
This company is extremely EXPENSIVE. Beware of them. They charged over $ 300.00 to come put on a week day and replace a socket in my ceiling. . I furnished the part!!!! Do not use this company unless you are extremely wealthy, frivolous, and love to waste money. I will never use this company again!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't speak to his electric skills, but driving in a big ol' Mr. Electric Company Van sure emboldens this guy. He blew through a yield sign and took offense when we honked - he slowed down, gave us the finger as we took pictures. That's a complete lack of situation awareness.
Fantastic customer service from start to finish. I have had them out twice. Made appointments online and by call. Both super easy and friendly service! Tech arrives in the time window given and receive a call prior to ensure you are home in time. Tech knew his stuff and did the work quick and efficiently. So happy with the first call out that we called them back again.

The Mr. Electric service tech (Justin) just left my house. This company has been so nice to work with. Everyone of them have been professional and it's nice to have that feeling that they are not trying to get over on you. I like doing business with these type of people.

We just moved into a new (older) home to find that one circuit was not carrying current. Mr. Electric dispatched Clint, who very patiently went from end-to-end of the circuit. After hours of searching, he identified the issue and replaced the defective parts that were its cause. He also educated me about some of the things unique to our new, but older, home and taught me what to watch out for as we began living there. This type of extra-mile service has always received my highest ratings.

Called 30 minutes before coming & sent a nice paragraph & picture of the electrician that was coming out. He quickly found out was was wrong & fixed it. Will definitely call Mr.Electric again if needed.

Todd was able to complete my requests in a couple of visits although I received a similar voice mail message on the second visit needing to hear from me in order to dispatch the technician. By the time I called back she had dispatched so apparently she got schooled in the interim, although she acted like she had done me a favor dispatching the technician for my appointment. Very unusual way to do business.
We had Mr. Electric come out and do several things... Fix an outlet, replace two switches, replace 4 can lights, and install 3 ceiling light fixtures plus secure wiring from a removed track. They work hard and in a timely manner and got the job done quickly and efficiently. I plan on using them again in near future for some remodel work . I highly recommend Mr. Electric.

Called Mr. Electric and set up a time for an electrician to come out to find the source of the problem. They sent an appointment confirmation and it had the electrician's photo and name, which I thought was great. Todd called prior to showing up on time. . I had 2 separate problems and Todd diagnosed both problems and had them fixed in less than 11/2 hours. Great job thanks Todd and Mr. Electric
Todd Knutson from Mr. Electric arrived within an hour of my calling to request help with a electrical wires that got crossed when I pulled out an old dishwasher. Todd was able to learn the basics of the problem and needed someone to help with crawling under my home. Remember, that it is very wet under my house. He was not able to return for three days, but he returned to crawl under my home and fixed the problem. I especially appreciated his cleaning up some connection that were not completed properly initially. Great work.

Wow, such wonderful and professional customer service. Far above the rest. Our electrician was very knowledgeable and professional regarding our problem. Gave us such peace of mind knowing the job was done correctly the first time. We were just as pleased with the charges for the job as well. Very affordable for such a professional workmanship our tech did. We will use Mr. Electric again in the near future. Thank you for putting customers first. You deserve more than 5 stars!!!!!
BUYER BEWARE!!! Mr. Electric are scammers. I called up on a Sunday to inquire about the fee for a service call. I was told it's $59 on weekends and NO CHARGE during the week. So of course I scheduled an appointment on Monday. I asked over and over again if there was gonna be a fee...no sir was the answer everytime. So I drove over an hour to my vacation property in Granbury, during a work day, to be then told by the tech after he did nothing other than listen to the EXACT SAME STORY I told the rest of them at Mr. Electric... He says well I have to do a diagnostic on it first to find the problem. How much is that I ask? Somewhere over $300!!! Just to tell me what's wrong!?!? I get on the phone with the Office Manager and she starts explaining her business to me like I am a 2 year old. Then when I tell her, angrily that her tech wants $300+ she tells me the diagnostic fee is $182.50? And that they can't tell me IF I need a diagnostic UNTIL they get out here! I say why not? She responds it could be something simple but if somethings not working, we have to investigate hence the fee. I told EVERYONEat the place i spoke with that all the electricity was out and that I had tried the breakers and nada!! I don't know squat about electricity but i do know you have to investigate! And of coursethen there's a fee!!! A TOTAL bunch of bait and switch jerks...BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!
Justin came out to my house to fix an issue with the electrical outlet above our over-the-range stove. We had just had the stove/microwave installed by another company two days before, and the installers said the outlet for the microwave had no electricity running to it (even though it was working fine before they came). There were wires left hanging out- it was a mess. So rather than keep dealing with that other company, I contacted Mr. Electric. So Justin came to the house to fix the electrical outlet issue. He completely took care of it and installed a new box correctly for us and took care of the loose wires and solved the overall goofiness of the whole situation. Then he went above and beyond by re-installing the microwave, adjusting the vents on it (which of course were adjusted completely incorrectly by the other company), and putting in new holes for the bolts that were needed to hold up the microwave (because, of course, those weren't done correctly either!). He then then answered my other unrelated questions about kitchen lighting. He spent time offering suggestions and advice about the overall lighting in the kitchen area as well as going way above and beyond with the microwave installation. I'm really impressed and I appreciate everything he did! When I asked about the lighting, he said it would be him personally who would be the one to come out and conduct the installation. I wouldn't feel comfortable with anyone else doing it, so I love how the person who gave the advice and suggestions would also be the one to actually do the work. Anyway, I'm probably rambling on and on now, but I'm just really thrilled with such great service and I'm so impressed. Thank you Justin and the Mr. Electric team :)

The men that came to my house were very professional and nice. They did all they could with the amount of money involved. When I get the money to finish the job I will definitely call them back. They did all they could possibly do to help me.
Excellent service! Mr. Electric is a fantastic company. The quote given was reasonable but the work done was exceptional! Jonathan was on time, completed the work and cleaned up the mess. You could not ask for better customer service. If you need electric work done call them...
