If we see that a customer is wanting something that is not up to current codes we advise them and let them know why we can't do what they want and give them other options which always seem to turn out better anyway. We are a small company that only hires quality trained professionals (that also undergo background checks) that will uphold our high standards of customers service and top tier work. HISTORY
Established in 2014.
We wanted to start a small affordable electrical service company that would concentrate on quality work at affordable prices, with customer service being the number one priority.
ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
My grandfather was an electrician and taught my uncles, cousins and myself the electrical trade. I've been in this field for as long as I can remember. I'm an extremely experienced technician and am truly motivated by helping my customers day in and day out.
I can honestly say the best compliment that I can get from my customers is that big smile at the end of a job, and helping solve customer's problems. I take pride in building relationships with my customers so they can always count on me and my team.

Nestor and his team did a great job on replacing my panel. He was great and followed up day two because of some city red tape. Thanks for being a good job and dealing with other peoples bs.
Nestor came within a few hours of our initial call on what was assumed to be a fact finding mission to verify fluctuating voltages in our home. In about 30 minutes, he identified and fixed the problem, and gave me information on the next steps to take with Oncor to confirm. Very reasonable price, excellent customer service, and great work! We now have a family electrician!
Fast service and problem was fixed in a matter of hours.
I'm a handyman and sometimes I have to get help. I had them come add some electrical boxes for me and we discussed what I needed done they showed up and they did good clean work they sent me the invoice and I paid them online like businesses that make it easy
We have used Merlan for 3+ years for all of our electrical needs. The team does an exceptional job and has always felt like you are getting it done by a family member or friend. I will always reach out to them whenever i have needs for electrical and know that my house will be in good hands and the pricing will be market competitive.

Nestor did a great job rewiring 2 light fixtures that were jacked up, installed a plug that was needed and fixed electric issues for a reasonable but professional cost. Good dude! Highly recommend!
OMG this company deserves five stars all the way around. Nesto who I believe is the owner promptly call me back after I left a message and was able to come out and give me an estimate the following day. Due to it is summertime his schedule was pretty booked but he knew that I wanted my issue to be addressed as soon as possible and cleared his morning schedule for me just to fix my problem. I am so grateful and thankful Nesto and his team. He was very professional, prompt, polite and affordable. I will use this company from now on. Thank you!

Nestor did a great job. He ran late for our scheduled appointment but communicated throughout.
He quickly diagnosed the issues with 2 ceiling fans and several switches in the kitchen. Another electrician had come out earlier to do an estimate and struggled to diagnose what took Nestor a quick look to figure out. The other electrician quoted a crazy price and we were hoping that Nestor would be reasonable. And he was. The work was done efficiently and when he walked out, everything was cleaned and worked well.
We will call him in the future for all of our electrical needs.
I first used their services in Feb 2014 when I was buying a house that had a questionable electrical panel.
Nestor was very kind and honest with his evaluation of the panel.
Fast forward to Jan 2016. The outlet where our frig was plugged in went out and Nestor came over to fix the issue. We talked to him about fixing some other issues in the house that we had Been putting off addressing.
He quoted is a very fair price for the work that had to be done. He came back within a few days and did everything that we needed done with precision and quality
I highly recommend Nestor and his services for anything electrical. He does quality work in the amount of time he promises. He's very kind and honest with his estimates and will tell you straight if it needs to be repaired or not. I appreciate his honestly with all my questions. His experience and knowledge put me at ease :)
Great Communication called back in a very reasonable time frame. Didn't make it the day I called him but came out the next day and got the job done. He explained to me what was wrong and what needed to be done. Outstanding job.

Nestor is the total package. He is very professional, patient, efficient, and reasonably priced. He is pleasant and easy to talk to. I am very happy with his service and I highly recommend him.
The electrician was very nice and explained everything to me and I was able to make a great decision. They worked quickly to fix my problems. I would recommend them for any electrical problems.

Nestor and his team are the best I've ever met! I could write paragraphs of praise for his business and my faith in him. The amount of work that Nestor and his team did in my 6000 soft home was amazing. They were the most incredibly trustworthy, helpful and stress relieving of my entire renovation project. Nestor had the most fair price out of 5 of DFWs largest businesses that I interviewed for the job. He is an amazing communicator and gave me incredible peace of mind each day with updates and pics from the day. I will use Nestor from now on for all jobs big and small.

I had a ceiling fan that wasn't working so I gave Mullen a call and ask them when they were going to be available to look at it. I expected maybe a week or so, but they came out the same day. They knew exactly what they were doing and they were honest and fair. Next electrical job I have at my house is going to Merlin with no questions asked.

I had these guys come out and install a few Z-Wave light switches for me. I was in communication with Nestor. They had a huge crew come out and tackle it, gave me a great price, and was very understanding when I had to reschedule when my wife went into labor. They came on time, cleaned up, and were very professional. Simply amazing. Thanks again!
This was the first time I have used Merlan Electrical Services and pretty much made the decision to use them based partly on Yelp reviews and largely on my Yelp communications with the owner, Nestor Colon. He was very pleasant and responsive with his quote and with answering my followup questions. We got a time scheduled and on the morning of the job he touched base with me to verify that we were still a go. At that time I asked him to bring materials to add another, not unsubstantial, piece of work to the job. The price for the additional work was not discussed at this time. Nestor and his helper showed up when promised, did a great job, including the last minute addition, in a timely fashion. When it was time to settle the bill, Nestor told me that since they finished so much quicker than he expected to, he would not be adding anything for the extra work I added at the last minute. I was truly shocked, and very pleased, at this decision of his. I told him that I wanted him to be OK financially on this job and he said he was doing just fine at the original quote.
Needless to say, Nestor Colon, at Merlan Electrical Services, will be my first and only call for all future Electrical needs!

I contacted Merlan on the Yelp site after reading the great reviews, plus they are close to my location. I sent a quote request and Nestor responded within about 20 minutes, that was impressive as it was after hours. Nestor and I sent back and forth a number of details about what we needed done. I called him the day after Christmas as he asked and he quickly picked up and we were scheduled for that afternoon. Nestor and his assistant arrived on time and came in to assess the work to be accomplished. They quickly got to work and he had come equipped with everything he would need to get the tasks completed. Roughly two hours later, everything I had needed done was finished. They cleaned up the areas that were worked in. Merlan Electrical Services are quality people doing quality work. Do not hesitate in hiring Nestor and his company for your electrical repair or service needs, you will not be disappointed.
We've used Merlan for various jobs around the house (i.e. Can lights in play room and master bedroom, moving fans, installing the wiring for our security system) and have been very pleased with their work each time. Very professional, get the job done in a timely manner and best of all... prices are very competitive. I have recommended them many times in the neighborhood and to family/friends and will continue to do so! Thank you for all you do.

I have known Nestor for almost 20 years. He has performed an assortment of electrical jobs for me, both large and small, at my current residence and at my rent property. The largest of which was totally rewiring my 1930's residence, which required a City of Fort Worth permit. Today he came because I wanted an additional outlet installed in a bathroom at my residence. As usual, the work was performed in a professional manner, and in a timely fashion. I have recommended him to several of my friends in the past, and will continue to do so.
Nester and his team did a great job. They were fast, friendly and took pride in they work. I will be using Nester again when needed.
I have used this service over the past few years and have been very satisfied This is a very professional company. I was treated honestly and courteously and there was no hidden agenda. I have recommended this company to many of my friends and they were all satisfied.
