We live in Plano in a house built 50 years ago... we saw some movement and had a foundation company come look at it.  They suggested we get a leak test.  I found in house plumbing on youtube after doing some research.  They came out and did a leak test.. NO leak they told us.. I was shocked.  I would say they could have scammed us out of a bunch of money.. but nope finally an honest plumbing company!! I will be using them for all my plumbing needs in the future.  Thanks!!

I had a great experience with this local plumbing company and wanted to share the info.   We had the old 60's cast-iron waste lines in our pier and beam in need of replacement.  (2 leaks over past 2 years and simply don't want to deal with it again, so time for the pvc upgrade).   This is a pier and beam with 3 bathrooms.  I called on four companies and settled on In-House Plumbing.  Out of the 4 bids In-House was right in-line with 3 other bids, but had a longer 1 year warranty and were willing to do more work (other company required cutting an additional inside access hole and fixing (at my cost) any hvac ducts that needed to be moved), so in the end, they were a better solution.  Shawn (owner) came out, arriving on time, and surveyed the job.  He then explained the plan and later sent a video overview along with the quote.  I admit it was pretty cool and very thorough.  The crew started on a Wednesday morning with digging additional access areas (for better access for crew and materials) and wrapped it up Friday evening (staying late to complete the work that night).  They even ran into an issue with the existing pipes being more buried than expected and they sent an additional digging crew (at no additional cost).  The onsite crew, Sean (not the owner) and Tim were great to work with.  They were extremely friendly, did a complete job, had a great attitude and seemed to really make the job go smoothly.   (and for comparison, they were 1/3 the cost of Dried Piper.  Dried Piper stated they had more experience with slab homes and felt it best to trench the yard instead of using the crawl space).  The phone is:  972-494-1750 and the owner is very responsive to email (my preferred method of communication).

In House Plumbing recently did a partial reroute of my sewer lines. They were extremely professional, on time every day and finished in the time frame promised, well-priced, and very honest. There was a some accidental damage done to my floors during the initial investigation (before the major reroute work) and they went well above and beyond to apologize and cover the costs of fixing it. They also did a great job cleaning up and left everything in my home and yard in good shape - which is impressive given how much dirt they dug up. Highly recommend them!!

After working with a few different plumbers, In-House is our favorite company. They are skillful, on-time, clean and they'll get the job done. You'll only have to fix it once if you call this company.

As a bonus, if you call for advice, they are happy to help you figure out whether you actually need to call a plumber, and they will give you advice to address your problem if its something you can handle on your own.

Our first foray into the plumbing world as new home owners. Its like walking in pitch darkness with everyone screaming French at you. With a massive sewage leak and our PVC pipes busted there was no other option than jackhammering through bathroom floors and tunnelling underneath the house. Shawn and his crew were amazing. Pulled 14 hour days to get everything done in two days. They cleaned up everything and considering how many barrels of dirt they had to dig up that was an impressive feat in itself. Shawn and his foreman as well as the construction crew, and office team were 100% courteous and available. Shawn had quoted a higher price per the job, but I was more than surprised to see a 20% deduction on the final bill. He charged us for exactly what work was completed, no hidden fees. He could have charged us his original quote and we probably would not have known any better. Companies like this that perform with integrity and honesty are hard to come across! Lets hope we have no more plumbing issues for a long time, but we know who we will be calling if we do. Thanks again, In-House Plumbing Crew!

Fantastic experience with Rick @ In-House Plumbing. Got a quick call back from an online inquiry about a backed up sink and got same-day service, professional work, reasonable prices, and Rick was great to talk to as well.  I've gotten plumbers before, but never has had a good of an experience as this.  I can't recommend these folks enough.

Hi ,

Usually I review rare but I need this to make sure everyone decide before they choose the company for the job.
I was told by a foundation company that there was a water or sewer leak and fix it to get things straight at my home.
I contacted my agent who is very helpful and gave this company reference for the job.
Contacted the company got my leak initial test and was told to go for isolation test -195 $ charged
Next isolation test and charges -695$ found two leaks as per their report and evaluated the excavation needed at 8 feet and two leaks - advised to fix
Estimate received-4195 not itemised not sure how much for what
Work started and after a days work was told verbally there was chipping needed and 200 bucks more and after another day passed the work is completed and was told verbally the price is 5595 after completion so now it increased the price from 4195 to 5595 a total of 1400 bucks that's huge and was told no written invoice for the work done just pay and get receipt after payment and threatened to pay now or I will put lean On your house and my attorney talk to you is the answer for asking a written invoice,so rude never saw customers paying huge amounts and no written invoices before for understanding for what I am paying for and how do somebody call professional, honest company with all these
The price 1200 for was never communicated or agreed .
My experience and lesson learnt
Earlier I got another company done initial test and isolation test for free ( they said we provide free testing and estimates and was interested to know another opinion and I hope everyone does when putting good money) and provided a quote to fix the same leaks for less than the final price honest company did the job .
so I advise to check with few companies just don't just go with one especially honest and affordable calling companies , ask every thing in writing and I want to mention one more thing the extra 1200 is for more excavation as per company which is 50 % more than  the feet suggested by initial inspection team report and it's so skillfull analysis for almost 900 bucks thank god

Charging in multiple chunks does not make it affordable - it's a scam

195 + 695 + 4195 + 200 + 1200 = 6485 my case final price

I am posting my experience in multiple forums just to make everyone aware when making a decision I can provide more info if anyone needs drop me a message
Good luck guys.

I had a great experience with In-house plumbing. I had multiple plumbers come check my sewer system and they gave me way overpriced quotes. If they weren't overpriced, it was only a small section repair for over $9k. One quote I got from a plumber was for $45k for the complete sewer system replacement not including braches to the showers and outside sewer line. Chris and Sean from In-house plumbing explained everything they were going to do without if this then the price will go up bs. When they inspected the old sewer, they didn't guesstimate how much digging (so no surprise charges) and they provided a sewer reroute option that was more effective. If you are frustrated with ridiculous quotes give In-house a call. FYI- complete sewer replacement (under foundation) completed in 4 days.

I am in San Diego CA, so not a potential client unfortunately. But I just wanted to thank you for investing the time to make your website so frickin informative.  Mold growing on shoes and table legs throughout the bottom floor of one of our rental properties (no matter what mitigating construction we do trying to fix it) has been a problem which no professional in my area seems to know half what you know about, just reading through your website.  The only thing more painful than the tens of thousands of dollars spent trying to fix the problem yet repeatedly failing... is the associated level of frustration. If by some miracle you happen to relocate to Southern California please let me know...

I mention Black voice because i don't  know the name of the person but recognize the voice/tone so the mgt can address the right staff (see i also put the exact date and time); so dont be sensitive with that. On legal document or employment contract the government also use terms like Black White Hispanic Asian (o United States Census officially recognized five racial categories (White or European American; Black or African American; Asian American; American Indian/Alaska Native; and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander) ) so it's legit, no discrimination here. Shawn, as the owner but you show here that bad customer service attitude and show no value of customer obsession in your tone. To be transparency, can you post the recording of the first call that your staff call me after i left voice message) not the 2nd one i called back) so everyone here can make a judgment ??? (she is very rude and arrogant)  i thought the management should be different but now i know your company culture and values. thanks for your reply to confirm it.

Recently had our cast iron replaced by In-House. During the wrap-up, they thoroughly explained what had been done and if there were any issues, to let them know. During the final inspection, I pointed out a suspicious area that looked liked water leakage around one of the sprinkler valves that was located right next to a trench. It was dismissed as a by-product of the work. Well, over the next few days I could see that it was getting worse. I called them and explained what was going on. They said they'd have someone out that day to look at it. I was surprised that not long after the call ended, someone showed up! I pointed out that it was worse. When they manually turned on the valve, water began to rush out of hole next to the valve. They investigated, and said there was crack in the water line. It had apparently gotten worse after they had finished the sewer line replacement. They left briefly to get a part and came back and fixed it, all within a few hours of my call that morning. Thank you for such great service, In-House!!

After suspecting a leak we called in-house Plumbing to come and do a leak test. Rick arrived on time and conducted the test. After the test he gave me the full report and explained to me all the different options. He never once tried to sell me anything. He was extremely professional in every way. We have used In House Plumbing before and we will use them again. They're very honest and straightforward. Unfortunately not all plumbing companies are like that. That's why we will stick with In House Plumbing.

Jackie and Shawn worked tirelessly until almost 8:00 PM to make sure that the water leak was fixed.  They dug and dug until they found the leak and got it fixed. I don't know of many employees that would have stayed that long to service a customer.  They even called later to make sure that everything was okay.  I will definitely be using them again and would strongly recommend In-House Plumbing.

I replaced my cast iron sewer pipes this summer and I highly recommend In-House Plumbing Company phone number (972) 494-1750. Shawn, who I think is the owner, draws up a very detailed diagram of everything he will do. Plus, he makes a video describing the diagram and process in great detail - so you can really know what tradeoffs and options he is recommending. Very happy with the results. They put in PVC around the perimeter of the home, had to make three holes in the driveway to get under it, and then filled everything in when done. Works great.

If you like to see and hear details in order to understand all of your options and WHY one method is better than the other, you will be very happy with In-House Plumbing.

Would def recommend Rick as he's a straight shooter with years of knowledge and a Master plumber as well. Called for a hydrostatic pressure test and was able to get an appointment the following day. Rick was courteous, professional, and his work was very clean and thorough. He took the time to explain any questions I had for him and although everything turned up fine, it gave me piece of mind knowing that the work was done correctly.

We recently moved into a new home (built in the 70s but new to us!) And low and behold we had cast iron pipes. We had a few stoppages and had to get snaked a few times before our home warranty company had the people send a camera down to see more of the problem and some soil shifting caused a section of pipe to belly, which was the main cause of all our problems. Unfortunately, soil shifting means it would not be covered by the warranty. But, lucky for us, this meant we could pick our own plumber and quickly found these guys! They came out next day to give us a quote on how to fix our problem and re-pipe our entire home. They were able to devise a plan that would be all external and not tear up any of the new floors this home had. They also made a super informative video for us to review with their full plan and explaining their quote. We approved and planned to start today, but after an unexpected flood in our hall bathroom we called to see if we could get moved up in the schedule and, luckily, they were able to start on Tuesday of last week. Their team was professional and FAST! They had all the digging done in two days and did ALL the piping in one day, working pretty late to make sure it was all done so we could get inspected the next day. All in all, they started on a Tuesday and everything was done and holes were filled 5 days later by Saturday evening! I cannot say enough great things about everyone working on this team. I will refer anyone needing this type of work done to them from here on out!

Shawn Bucklew and his team performed a complete, whole house sewer reroute in about 2 days.  His team worked hard, long hours and got the job done.  His price was very competitive, he pulled a permit, and he got an engineers report.  He's very responsive, and although I don't disbelieve Erin B., I do believe her experience was not the norm.  Shawn is incredibly responsive via email, and phone.  Lalo, Andreas, Ricardo, Santos, Mando, and everyone else, thank you for your hard work!

In-House Plumbing truly provided exceptional service from start to finish. We had a problem with one of our cast iron sewer lines and after research decided to go with In-House for the PVC re-route. We were planning to do only half the house. Chris came out for an initial estimate and within an hour of his visit (on a Friday evening) we received a VERY detailed proposal, with plans showing our options, cost explanations, and a 30 minute video from the owner Shawn outlining everything. The price and plans were favorable so we went with the full re-route. Now all our sewer pipes all the way out to the street connection are smooth PVC and should last our lifetimes without any major issues. The entire process took 7 full days (would've been 5 but there were complications with our particular yard and lines), the yard was a mess but (at least in our case) very minimal work was required in the house and no damage to the tile/wood floors or slab. All of the workers we interacted with were polite and helpful, especially Chris (excellent all around), Jackie (always eager to answer any questions, positive and knowledgeable) and Santos (stayed late to hook up a toilet for us). We were able to stay in our house the entire time the work was done. They kept us informed on progress, any changes and were always eager to answer any questions. They really went above and beyond! This was an expensive and stressful home repair to have to make but they put us at ease. I would recommend In-House Plumbing to my best friends and family. 11 out of 10 quality and service.

I contacted In-House upon the suggestion of my realtor to fix some items in my parents' home - we are trying to get their home ready to sale. I was given a two-hour window of when to expect the plumber and told he would call before he came out. I drove the 45 minutes to my parents' home (with my young child in tow) to wait for the plumber. The two hours passed - no phone call and no plumber. So I called the In-House office. They called the plumber, and he told them he's running late - by 90 minutes.
At this point, I had to leave in an hour to go pick up my daughter from school - back at my own home 45 minutes away. The answer I got from the lady at the desk was, Well, we won't be able to reschedule you until next week.
No, In-House. You actually won't be rescheduling me at all. I found another plumber who came highly recommended on Yelp (and by friends as well) and, strangely enough, will do the same job for $130 less?
To be clear, here are my complaints:
1) I understand jobs run long. But at some point, that plumber knew he wasn't going to make it. Common sense and customer service dictates a phone call. Thanks to In-House, I effectively lost 4 hours of my day - that's very precious time.
2) Once the mistake was made, no offer was made to fix it if I couldn't stay late that afternoon. What they should have said was, Hey, sorry we messed up - let us work with you to make this right. Even if they couldn't have gotten it right completely, that one small show of effort would have won me over. Instead, they acted like they were the only plumber in DFW.
In-House treated me with complete indifference. I honestly would not recommend them to anyone.

In-House Plumbing is fantastic. As a realtor for 13 years and a homeowner since the 1980's, I've worked with plenty of plumbing companies. This one is fantastic! I am remodeling a home in Richardson and another plumbing company(my remodeler's) said there were sewer leaks. After 2 days of trying to isolate and find them, I'll called In House (who had worked on the home before) and they determined there was no leak. I'm still trying to settle with the other company but Shawn & Chris and the office staff bent over backwards to accomodate the other company's schedule so we could prove there wasn't a leak. They even came out on a Sunday, which is crazy. I will use this company again and again.

Did a horrible job the guy came in fixed it at first great right ? The leak started again on my sisters wedding day and they won't fix it because they made a mistake and didn't fix the leak. They won't fix it under warranty even though it was their fault !! I called them to fix it they started to fix it and left the mess for three days so far didn't contact us or anything. They aren't picking up my calls or anything. This company is horrible ! I will make sure everyone knows the fact that this company is HORRIBLE.

Shawn and his team are fantastic!  I was under a tremendous amount of pressure to meet a closing deadline.  There were leaks that needed to be repaired AFTER the foundation company completed their repairs.  I only had three days left to the close.  Shawn and his team sensed my anxiety and worked diligently to help me to meet that deadline.  Due to the wet weather, the foundation company had to reschedule the repair and Shawn was not certain that he could do the repairs.  Shawn and I were very open and I did let him know that I needed to know with certainty that they could do the repairs.  He could not provide me with that certainty but asked me to keep him posted.  In the meantime, I contacted a few other leak repair companies and had one lined up in the event In-House could not do the work.   Shawn and I stayed in touch with each other.  I called him as soon as the foundation was repaired (it was after 5).  He called me at 7:00 PM and said that he would have a crew at my house the following morning.  The were prompt and completed the work at 7:30 PM. They were responsive, responsible, reasonable and accessible.  They called me to make sure that I was not only satisfied with the work but wanted my feedback on the workers and the cleanliness of my house post-repairs.  I will definitely contact In-House Plumbing for all of my plumbing needs and I will be referring them to anyone that I know that might require plumbing services.

This is a very honest and reputable company!

I sent them photos of some water damage and crumbling of my wood floor under my piano. Chris looked at the pictures and honestly told me that it did NOT look like a plumbing issue! He recommended I contact the flooring company that installed our wood floor a couple years ago.

I bet there are other plumbing companies that would have taken advantage of me and charged me to come out and look it, and possibly complete some unnecessary work.

So, In-House Plumbing now has a future customer because of their honesty! Thanks, Chris. Thanks also to Brenda for handling my request in a extremely quick and professional manner.

When I first contacted this company I was told I didn't qualify for the free second opinion for a hydrostatic sewer test advertised on their website. I felt mislead and was really disappointed because of all the other positive reviews I'd seen, and posted a review stating my experience.

Shawn, the owner, responded to my review and even called me to apologize. Apparently the secretary was misinformed about what constituted a free second opinion. He was so gracious about everything and even sent a gift card of my choosing for the trouble.

His guys (Chris and Sean) came out today to complete the free test on our sewage lines and explained everything they did in extreme detail. They went above and beyond - Chris even got up in our attic to check on a plumbing vent he was worried about. Unfortunately, they did confirm a leak somewhere under our slab. However, I am now considering using them for the repair because I feel they are an honest company that want to take care of their customers.

My first time to use them an it was a wonderful experience.

They came out to clear a clogged sewer line and found it was broken. I had heard this was the problem from the prior owner. The diagnosis was consistent. They gave me a quote for the repairs that were very reasonable to dig under the home and replace the broken pipe.

They started the following day and completed.

And then the invoice came at the same price as the estimate. Win win.

I'll use them again.

Ps: we had a minor issue a few days following and they ran over the same day and checked it out at no cost and we resolved that issue.

Did a great job locating a sewer leak under our slab. We made an appointment for them to come out after Christmas. They came around 8:30 to start and left around 8:30 that evening. Did a great job communicating where they were in the process and what was next. Cleaned up and left us with instructions.

This review is over-due but better late than never I hope. We have used In-House Plumbing several times for all levels of work. The tunneled under our house to repair large pipes, they have repaired appliance water lines, installed shut-off valves and installed faucets for us. All jobs from biggest to the smallest were done with care. They are courteous, skilled and careful. They always clean up and check that things are working correctly before they leave. The plumber is knowledgeable, their charges are reasonable, and the work is top-notch.
