I needed help to replace lightning fixture in master closet. Made few calls to find someone professional with reasonable price. Rodney from Collin County Electrical quickly responded on my call and gave me a reasonable price quote. He appeared on time and did excellent job. I am planning to hire Collin County Electrical for few more upcoming projects.

Rodney replaced 9 smoke detectors (2 of which were carbon monoxide combo units) and a faulty doorbell system for us. He was punctual, professional, efficient, and effective. Highly recommend his service - thank you, Rodney!

This was our second time using Mr. Rasmussen for electrical problem troubleshooting and replacement of lighting fixtures.  We have been very satisfied with the quality of his work, his pricing and his professional attitude.  
He is a busy contractor, so you may have to wait a week before he can get to you.  We highly recommend him.

I contacted Collin County Electrical to install an outdoor light & repair a light in the utility room. Rodney did great work, from advising about fixtures to completing the work. We are very pleased with the work provided and will definitely be contacting Collin County Electrical in the future.

After I purchased my house and the previous owner lied about fixing certain electrical issues I had to hire someone to take care of the problem (couldn't operate the sprinkler panel or the washer/dryer due to faulty plugs and the system had to be grounded). He was quick to respond, to show up, and do all the work rapidly, efficiently, and at a far lower cost than a more corporate company would. I would recommend him again and again. Call at least a week early - the man is always booked, and for good reason!

Needed some plugs installed for our EVs. Rodney has fair pricing and was super responsive to my initial inquiry in Yelp. He's had plenty of experience installing plugs for EV so I picked him. And am absolutely glad I did.

He arrived and did his work as expected. But what wasn't expected was the power going out at the house. I had contractors doing work and they needed electricity. I didn't expect the electricity to go off that day so it caught us by surprise. Rodney, being the good guy that he is, shared his generator power with my contractors so they could do the work until I could get the electricity back on. Thought I'd share this because not only will you get quality work, but also from a guy with a quality heart.

Called Rodney on a Saturday morning and he came later that day.  Needed a smoke and radar detector replaced, as it was still beeping after replacing the battery.  This was right at the entrance to the master bedroom.  Rodney knew where to get exact same type and came back and replaced it.  He also helped answer some other questions that were not electrical related.  Very knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt.  And did a great job.  Highly recommend!!!!!

Rodney and his son replaced a 24 ft. high ceiling fan, he had the proper equipment and did a excellent job. He was very flexible with me co-coordinating the delivery of the fan and the installation. What a great job. Replaced some hard to reach electrical wiring, plus installed a very high entry chandelier. He and his son were so professional, cleaned up after installing.... I couldn't of expected or asked for a better job.  His pricing was very reasonable as well. The highest recommendation.

I can't say enough good things about Rodney. He is like Superman going through my long list of problems - you look up and he is finished (and price is so reasonable). He's been out for 2 visits so far with different issues (and long lists). Don't be fooled by the commercials on  a.m. local TV. I've called them and they are worthless (and way overpriced to pay for those commercials). Rodney is the man - and I have a 3rd visit coming for after the holidays. So much better than going through Home Warranty. Great service and highly recommended.

We were seeking a new electrician after 14 years in our home. Reviews on Yelp very good. Rodney was much more responsive and at a more reasonable cost for installing an outdoor light fixture within one day, and later responding within an hour to resolve a carbon monoxide sensor problem. He is now our new electrician for all future needs.

Mr. Rodney was right on time. I had an appointment at 2pm on Sunday (July 25th) and he was ringing the bell at 2pm. He right away started on his work. I have not seen such great work ethics for a long time. I was looking for an electrician whom I can have years to come. Lucky to have found Mr. Rodney. We had an extra work and he helped us with that too. No Fuss, Honest, reliable. We plan to use only him from here on.

I needed some smart switches to be installed and after a couple of attempts I gave up and started looking for someone to do it for me. I started looking through yelp and CCE was only one which said 24/7. I gave them a call and spoke to Rodney, who was there within the hour (at 8pm on a Thursday) and helped me get my smart switches together.

He was very helpful and even walked me through the process. He was quick with his quote and the job which was really impressive. Though the job for which he came took its time, he got it done cleaned up and was even kind enough to hook up one of my pendant lights. CCE would by preferred electrical company. I emailed CCE past 8pm this past Friday.  Rodney responded with availabilty and was out promptly at 9:30am the next morning.   He was able to make short work of the switchbox I had deconstructed (but could rebuild!).   He also tackled a side-job I asked about once he was here.   He made sure everything worked and got me up and running in no time.

He does great work and I would refer him to anyone that needs a hand with the their home electrical needs.

After having a hard time finding someone to wire our cameras, I'm so happy to came by CCE page.  Emailed CCE and asked for consultation and we got one that fits our schedule over the weekend.  Explained to Rodney what we're looking for,  Rodney gave us a reasonable price and timeframe to work with.  After pursuing with CCE quote, Rodney was able to fit us in his schedule and wired our security system wires. He completed his service without any break and very professional of him to work with us and make sure the cameras are working; although he was hired just to run the wires only.  So thank you Rodney :) definitely recommend CCE.

Just got home to find a handwritten and signed card from Collin County Electrical. Rodney is a true professional...had him out twice and fantastic results. Would highly recommend him!

Rodney installed outlets, switches and a floodlight security camera for me throughout the house.  He did it all with no drywall damage.  He did it all on time, cleaned up after himself, and his prices were very reasonable.  Oh and he came to give me a quote on a Saturday, and did the work the next day.  I will be using him exclusively, and would recommend him to everyone I know.

Beyond impressed what a great guy! Called him at 10pm on Wednesday night took a shot in the dark picked up  let him know I damaged my ceiling because my recess lights said he has seen it before asked him if he can come the next day after 6 he said no problem! Showed up got the job done and saved me time and stress this is my electrical company for life ! Glad to know great people still exist!

I had them re-locate a Ring doorbell that previous people said was impossible to relocate due to the location and that there is a light switch in the way on the inside.  CC Electrical got it!

I also needed an ethernet cable run to my living room that was basically an impossible run over a vaulted ceiling living room.  The dude was an attic ninja and got it done!

For what this job was and the price, it was amazing service!

I saw Rodney's name on our neighborhood website as a quality electrician. I called and scheduled an appointment to install 2 smart switches in our home. His work was great, he was very friendly, wore shoe covers to not track anything and was very respectful. No issues with his service at all.

The electrician was pleasant but charged a little more than another company I called afterwards. The other company was more knowledgeable it turned out to be my microwave he diagnosis it over the phone. This company was in my driveway after I finished my call so I could not cancel 45 dollars later and he said it was my microwave. Lesson learned not his fault but mine, I should've shopped around.

Rodney was on time, took care to not track in dirt, and explained everything after a thorough inspection.  Had everything completed within an hour.  Super pleased!  Already putting together a list of smaller things for him to do.

Rodney provides excellent, prompt service and fast communication. When searching for someone to help us with some electrical issues before moving into our new home, he was great to work with! He worked long hours to make sure everything was completed before we moved in and his prices were definitely fair and matched our expectations. We will 100% use Collin County Electric again and will probably only use Collin County for any future electric needs.

Called Rodney at 4:45P to replace two LED light fixtures. Came to our house at 6P same day and was priced very well. Definitely recommend!

We are so happy with how Collin County Electrical helped us! I tried changing out a dimmer switch that stopped working and did fine until I heard a pop from within the switch and knew I needed to call in a professional. It was late in the afternoon (4:15pm) so I knew chances of getting an electrician were slim, but I was hopeful. After I called Rodney and explained what happened he gave me a reasonable quote and arrived within 20 minutes. He checked the wiring and replaced the dimmer switch, and also checked the light fixture that had a few issues. Rodney explained everything really clearly and answered all my questions. He was super friendly and very professional and I will definitely be calling him if I need any more electrical help.

We just used Rodney Rasmussen with Collin County Electrical to install new lighting throughout our house, and I couldn't be more pleased. We initially contacted another electrician who was highly recommended on Nextdoor, but the way they handled the first appointment was not professional and the fastest they could get us on their schedule for the work to actually be done was 8/25. I found Rodney on Nextdoor, called him on Monday, he came to look at what we needed on Tuesday, and he started and completed the job today (Friday). Our job was not easy and involved some intricate pieces, moving some light fixtures, and adding some new ones, and he was so precise and it came out better than I could have imagined. He was beyond professional throughout the entire process, including wearing booties to cover shoes in our house and taking away our old ceiling fans and fixtures rather than setting them out by the curb for bulk trash pickup. He lives in the area, is a vet, has a family, has worked with some of the big guy electricians around town, but just recently branched out on his own. Moral of the story - Don't just go with the company that has the most recommendations. Dig a little deeper and you may find someone you're excited about giving repeat business to like Rodney.
