I recently had a power surge that fried several appliances and necessitated the replacement of my panel box.

Peter came quickly to provide a bid and was able to take care of the issue in a matter of days. He took care of the panel as well as exterior lights, a ceiling fan and the doorbell. He was very reasonably priced and I was extremely satisfied with the work.

He was able to diagnose issues stemming from the surge such that I only had to fix what was necessary. Recommended.

Well the B&C electrician was at our house for three and a half hours. His billing rate turned out to be $150/hour. However, we did receive a $75 credit for a wall switch he destroyed by shorting it out. The basic problem was a miswired three way switch which was not resolved. so at the end of three and a half hour effort NOTHING was accomplished. B&C with the $75 credit billed us $450 which we paid. The electrician's complaint was that someone else had worked on the circuit which was true. But that was what we hired B&C to resolve. He observer that the effort had not either his expectations or ours. We will not be using B&C again.

I reached out to Peter to replace my FPE/StabLock panel to a SquareD QO 42-space panel, which also included installing ground rods. Not only did he do an excellent job, gave me an excellent price, he also worked with me to see what we needed to do to upgrade my service to support 200 amps.

Peter's attention to detail is top-notch, and I was impressed how much he cared about his job & truly treating his clients' homes as if they were his own. I'm a perfectionist myself & have high standards, so seeing someone else put so much care into their work says a lot.

Well I read reviews ... then saw he was in the neighborhood. I called and Peter answered and it was after 5pm. I told him what the A/C tech thought was the issue. Peter said: Before I come out, have TXU look to see if it's a power issue on their end - and they don't charge. I did that and TXU came out today and it's rainy. The TXU tech looked at the meter and the outside electrical box and showed me the issue. We took pictures.
Literally after he left I received a text from Peter asking me if the issue had been resolved. I told him no that I needed him to give me a quote and replace the circuit breaker. In less than 1 hour Peter came out after I sent him pictures to save time and he purchased the circuit breaker and replaced it. He advised me well. Very honest and no run around. Feb 20th 2018.

I initially hired Peter to replace an old, outdated panel box (as well as some other electrical work on a condo I'm fixing up). He did an outstanding job. I would *strongly* recommend Peter to anyone who needs electrical work done. He was consistently knowledgeable and transparent about what work needed to be done, what work was not necessary, and what everything would cost. As a bonus, Peter offered several clever, cost-effective solutions to other issues I was having with my remodel. He then helped me get started on some of his ideas, and he even lent me some of his tools over the weekend!!

Peter was very flexible with regard to initially arranging to come give an estimate for a half dozen items we needed to address before we put our home on the market. When he arrived (Friday) we went through the items and he gave us a very fair quote. We agreed and he was able to start that day, fixing three of them. He returned the next week and everything once again works.

Found these guys on Yelp and was excited by the reviews. My fiancée called and left a voice message AND texted but..... Apparently business is GOOD. Apparently it's TOO GOOD and they didn't want OUR business. We had a pretty big job -- a job that we ended up paying $3K for with another company-- when these guys wouldn't even respond to us. They never returned our phone call and, as you can see, they never responded to my fiancee's text message.....

If you don't want to come to Carrollton to work -- which isn't even far from their location-- just say so. If you're too booked up, just say so. Give some type of response. Don't leave people hanging. This seems to be an issue with this company. I scrolled through the reviews and found several people with the same complaint. That's just poor customer service and rude. Won't ever call them again.

Don't call them. Peter makes you feel like he's the most important and busy person in the world. He installed just a few light switches for me and then made it seem like I was wasting his time.

Oh and then one of the light switches stopped working and he didn't come out to fix it. He blamed my home builder!

Maybe this guy is too busy because his strong yelp profile. I don't think it will last if he keeps that attitude up.

I  had and old panel box which needed  to be replaced as it was a fire hazard and also a Tesla car charger  to be installed in my Garage.

Excellent service. Peter replaced my dreaded Federal Pacific Stab Lok electrical panel and added GFI outlets and a ground rod to boot.  Look at me with my up to code goodness! As a new home owner, I'm confident that my new panel won't light up like the gates of hell Stab Lok panel (youtu.be/EADqIrxa5yU) and I have an honest, fair priced, quality, reliable go-to  electrician in Peter.  The best and fastest way to contact Peter is to text the number, not use Yelp quotes.  Didn't get a response through Yelp but got a fairly quick response via text message. That seems to be the case with most businesses on Yelp, FYI. I highly recommend this business without reservation.

I was having a hard time finding a good electrician--everyone I talked to knew an electrician, but not a good electrician they would recommend.  I found B&C through Yelp, and the positive reviews are on target.  

Peter did a great job troubleshooting and repairing the electrical problems at my house.  He came the same day and at the time he said he would.  He was very professional.  He quickly identified the problems and worked to correct them as economically as possible.  I will definitely use him again for future work.

Peter Bistrain is the owner. He is a Master Electrician. He knows his stuff and he's good at his job but not only that, he is truly a great guy! Strong Christian, good morals, ethical and will give you a fair price.

He installed 9 LED can lights. He did a good job at cutting the holes and being creative around a couple of them. He also changed out some switches and installed a 4-way dimmer system which I love!

I mention him being a strong Christian because I looked at his website and it mentions it. He is truly someone who walks the talk.

Peter replaced an old Federal Pacific panel and moved it to the exterior and brought the house up to code. He knocked this out in about day and a half, very impressive stuff. Price was fair, he started the same day, and also was very reasonable with installing some extra outlets.

I called around for other bids, one was 2-3 weeks out, another doesn't do big jobs, one was too much and the rest wouldn't return my calls.

Peter will be my electrician from here out. Be patient when you try to reach out to him, if you read through his reviews when he has time he'll respond so be prepared to wait until the end or start of the day if he's on the job.

I called B&C electric after readiing other revviews and the reviews were correct. Peter called me right back after leaving him a message and was able to come out the next day. My stove top range kept losing power, he  figured out issue right away and fixed the problem. I will definitely be saving his # and using him as my go to guy for any electrical issues. Thx, Peter

Honest, reasonable prices, great attention to detail.

Peter installed a NEMA 14-50 outlet for my electrical vehicle in my detached garage. He went over several options on how we could get wires safely from the panel to the detached garage and the best location for the outlet considering costs and parking. We ended up deciding to drill an access hole to the panel on the side of the house, install conduit tubing for the wires that was buried and routed through my garage storage unit. The end result was very neat. I couldn't tell where he buried the conduit because he filled the small trench in so well. He snaked the conduit in the storage unit next to the storage unit wall so that it would not be a safety concern or an eyesore. Before he placed the cover on he made sure that the outlet was installed in the correct orientation as my charging unit required the outlet to be rotated 180 degrees. Overall, the job took a couple hours, works as expected, and was completed with great attention to detail. His quote was also less than other Yelp quotes I got from other electricians.

He won't upsell you.

When I initially called him, I thought I would need a panel upgrade and some electrical outlets repaired in the new house. When he came for the initial inspection he told me I didn't need to upgrade my panel and he helped me find the GFCI reset for the wet bar outlet that ended up being all the way in my bathroom 2 rooms away!

He'll try to be there when you have an emergency.

We had a big storm in Dallas that took out power to a lot of neighborhoods so he politely called to see if we could reschedule my appointment so that he could help restore power to some peoples' houses. He apologized repeatedly several times during our rescheduled visit but there was no need as I hope someone like him is available to help quickly if I was in a similar situation.

Overall, a job well done for a reasonable price. I will be calling him again if we need electrical work.

I chose B & C because it was close to my home and the ratings were excellent.  The ratings do not lie!  I called at 6:30pm on a Friday evening to have a ceiling light installed.  Obviously, this was not an emergency, but Peter went out of his way to accommodate me, and he came early Saturday morning.  He was friendly and very helpful!  He walked me through each step of the installation so that in the future, I could do it myself.  He worked very quickly, and my light looks wonderful!  He had finished his work and was loading his truck, when I mentioned my landline that I was going to set up later that day.  Without hesitation, he turned around and set it up for me!  I had no intention to have him do that...I was really laughing at myself for putting it off!  

All in all, if you need any type of electrical repair or installation, do not hesitate to call Peter.  He is honorable, personable, and a master of his craft.

Peter installed a new panel to replace an old, dangerous one, plus a whole house surge protector and a few extra outlets for a very reasonable price. He also gave electrical advice for things we never knew about, plus helped me figure out why a fridge door wouldn't close properly and a hot water heater exhaust pipe problem. I see the one star reviews here and I don't know what's going on. All I know is that it's been difficult finding competent electricians who work for a fair price. I called one guy who (seriously) showed up drunk. I'd use him again in a heartbeat. Peter, not the drunk guy. In fact, I offered Peter a beer after his hard work in an uncomfortable, warm garage and he stuck to water and soft drinks.

We've used Peter a couple times now for adding/replacing light fixtures and outlets. He consistently has done quality work at a fair price. Highly recommended!

Peter is a refreshingly polite, soft-spoken, intelligent guy. We had a puzzling loss of power on one of the circuits at our house that required some creative troubleshooting. Peter worked us into his schedule the day after I called him, came to the house, and performed a series of diagnostics that pointed to the cause of the power outage. He then made sure the circuit was wired properly, and ensured me that he'd return if the circuit failed again. Some may misinterpret his shyness for aloofness, but he's a really nice and respectful guy who actually listens to what you have to say. I highly recommend him.

Met with Pete (of B&C Electric) to check out my overhead electrical wiring to my my house (after the recent June '19 storms) and he did a thorough examination. As a retired custom home builder, I have a sixth sense about honesty and abilities of sub-contractors, and B&C Electric passed with flying colors.

I called Peter this morning to come to my home to fix an outlet. We confirmed the time of 1p for my appointment. 1pm came and went and Peter didnt show. He didnt call and say he'd be late or wasnt coming until 3pm in which he said he would be at my house in 30 min. Nobody showed up until 4:10pm. Peter showed up with his son (about 7yrs old). Who brings their child to work with them? Very unprofessional. Over the phone Peter said his minimum price is $150 but that goes to whatever he fixes. He said its usually about $75 to change a plug. Upon arrival Peter troubleshoots and finds one plug that needed replacing. When I asked how much it would cost now the price is suddenly $210. Very disappointed in the customer service, sudden change in prices, and unprofessionalism.

I highly recommend Peter Bistrain at B & C Electric. I have had him do electric work for me in my primary residence and rental property for over 12 years now. He is always very honest, thorough , professional and recommends  solutions to any electrical problems I have had.  He is very reasonably priced. I don't use any other electric but Peter for my electrical work . We had an unexplained electrical issue and I called B&C to see if they could come out today (Saturday).  Peter, whom I've never met, quickly diagnosed the problem over the phone and told me that I should call Oncor and relay the information that he told me.  The result, good and accurate advice, a quick solution, and no service call.  

It is no wonder why B&C has such a high rating on Yelp.   Peter is definitely OUR electrician going forward.

I called Peter Thursday afternoon to deal with several issues at our house, and he was on site Friday morning, when he quickly and efficiently handled our problems. Thoroughly professional and knowledgable, with reasonable prices commensurate with the quality of work. (He asked in advance if it would be all right to bring his son to the job site -- obviously, this was no issue, and his son was great, a well-mannered and bright kid who helped out where he could.) Although a small electrical practice, Peter seems ready to handle any residential issues that might come up. Highly recommended.

I agreed to replace a Federal Pacific panel for my home buyer and went to Google to locate an electrician. B&C appeared to have experience with panel replacements and had positive reviews - so I called.  

Peter, the company owner, agreed to come to my home that evening around 7PM. He reviewed the situation and explained that the new panel could not be placed in the closet where the existing one had been for the last 30 years. He proposed placing it on the outside wall opposite the placement of the existing panel, a solution he said he had employed many times.   Peter worked up a quote while at the house, which we discussed and which he emailed to me on the spot. I had asked for additional work involving GFI wall plugs around the house and to trouble-shoot some non-working light switches. He gave me a fair price, answered all my questions, and committed to commence the job and have it completed by early the following week. I hired him on the spot and he asked if he could get started on trouble-shooting the light switches. He stayed until 8:30PM and had all my lighting issues corrected.  

Peter called me early on 1/29 to say he was on his way to my home to install the panel. He showed up promptly to start the job, he kept me apprised throughout the day, e.g., when power would be taken down, exactly where the panel would be placed. My power was re-started before darkness fell. He came back the following morning to complete the panel labeling and to install 10-12 GFIs. He showed me all the completed work, all of with which I was highly satisfied.

* As an added benefit to me, Peter did the following: he looked at my cooktop switch, diagnosed it as the reason for the burner not working, took pictures of the switch part, and - on his own time - went to a wholesale parts store the next day and ordered the replacement part for me. I picked up the part, installed in myself, and saved a ton of money.  

Should anyone need highly professional electrical panel replacement work by a hard-working, very personable and courteous man at a fair price - I highly recommend a contact with Peter at B&C Electric.

After an hours-long do-it-yourself light switch project resulted in power loss to half a duplex, I did some Yelp searching and found Peter. When I called, fairly late in the evening, I spoke directly to him - no message, no waiting. I got an appointment quickly, he arrived on time, and he fixed the problem in about five minutes. (D'oh.) While he was here, he hung a couple of ceiling fans for me, and updated some outdated fixtures in the process. All done in a couple of hours at a surprisingly low cost. He will be my go-to guy for electrical projects from here on out!

I would highly recommend B&C Electric and Peter for any electrical job you might have.  We called him and he came out quickly and in the evening to give us an estimate after he finished the job he was doing that day.  He was fair and informative and the quote was really reasonable.  We had a Main electrical panel and a sub-panel replaced in the house we just bought that was 50 yrs old.  He made quick work of that and it was clean and neat.  He made great suggestions for things we could do in the future based on what we told him we were thinking of doing.  We really appreciate his speed, honesty and genuineness.  Give him a call.  You won't regret it! all this was AFTER we had called a couple of other places that came and gave us a quote and tried to Up-sell us on EVERYTHING and add stuff that was totally unneeded. They did not give straight answers etc.  So B&C Electric was a great contrast to the competition.

This guy peter is legit. My light fixtures were pretty bad and I tried fixing them on my own but totally failed so I gave a bunch of companies calls and he was the most fair. Charges a bit more to get to your house, but he works really efficiently and was able to repair my crappy light fixtures that nobody else could have and at 11pm at night! He definitely charges way less than other places that charge a service fee and then follow it with an outrageous estimate so you're hands are tied. He just works his ass off and quickly so you end up paying way less since he's hourly.  He's really honest and actually tried to help me fix it over the phone so he wouldn't need to come over and save me money, but I'm not so good so I figured I'd trust him, which I'm really glad I did.

Anyway, I don't write many YELP reviews but I gotta say, Dallas has lots of outrageous electricians and this place I can trust and will definitely use again.

I called Peter at 9:00 AM to rewire some our exisiting electrical, install a new switch and a new junction box in the ceiling for a new fan. He was at our house at Noon. We have an old house so this was not easy. A large portion of the work was in our attic and as it is early September the attic was extremely hot, upwards of 130 degrees.

Peter did all the work with no complaints in about 2 hours including helping us install our ceiling fan which was a very complicated model. He volunteered to do this on his own. If we would have done it would have probably taken a full day and would not have been fun.

I can only second Renee's A+ recommendation and say that I was overly satisfied. I will call him next time no question and I am sure there will be a next time. I have worked for a large commercial contractor and even some of the best electricians were not as educated and professional as him. Great Job!

I can see now why Peter has such high reviews. After reading the already posted reviews on Yelp, I decided to cancel my appointment with Milestone Electric and try out Peter with B&C instead. Boy am I happy I did! He was courteous as soon as he entered our home and gave us a very fair price for high quality work. We had a few odd jobs for him to complete, (replace ceiling fans, lights, add and replace outlets) and he did the job within an hour 1/2. Not only that but he cleaned up after himself! I definitely recommend Peter for anyone needing a local electrician. You won't find better service anywhere else!

Highly recommended.  Called last night and work was done perfectly this morning.  We chose Peter because of another Yelp review with the same issue...a breaker on the dryer kept tripping.  He fixed it and a few other breaker box issues that could have become a problem later.  We will definitely call him if we need work done in the future.

I have only wonderful things to say about B and C Electric and Peter. After I got the runaround from 2 other companies on work that I needed done quickly, I found B and C Electric. Peter did everything he said he would do - showed up promptly for our first meeting, gave me real numbers for the job, completed the job on time, and was very personable and easy to deal with. My home had an outdated panel and no GFCI outlets. Peter completed the panel change/upgrade, installed 2 new circuits, and added all of the necessary GFCI outlets. Peter came out to inspect a fuse that kept tripping from my dryer.  He found the issue within 15 minutes and fixed it quickly! I have him estimating some other items for my home including adding exterior outlets, lights and revising some switching.  Great job so far!

Peter is an artist at electrical work. Held to the estimate amount that was given and was only half of Cadell Electric estimate. Won't even consider someone else doing my electrical work from now on. Thanks Peter!

Fixed emergency on our own, but kept service appt for peace of mind and safety.  Website showed $35 service, this was not the case.  Text communication good, would be over in the morning (10am), arrived to look over the fix that we did and mentioned he felt he should be doing something for charging $150, maybe a fuse change, then proceeded to charge for the fuse after his own suggestion.  Website is still under construction and the $35 is an error, please be sure to check on fee beforehand.  Trip charge and 1 hr minimum is what the base is.  Offered suggestion of upgrading the box, but it's ok for now.  Pretty straight talking, too bad the website amount was wrong.  Considering we found a solution we would've cancelled the appt and saved some money.

I've used Peter in the past and he's done great work, but something has changed recently. Set up an appointment with him and he never showed. Never got a response. Ended up being a $1200 job with another electrician. I understand if business is good and you can't take every job, but let us know that instead of scheduling and not showing.

Peter was flexible and great about working with and around all the work we had going on with our remodel. He made sure to come out and work late into the night to make sure he completed the project for us.  I read some of the complaints about scheduling but it's something we've experienced with many others in the trade as well.  These guys are in high demand and some jobs sometimes run a lot longer than they expected, so they cannot always make it to the next site on time, but Peter always communicated.  When he gets there he is fast and thorough.

Found these guys on Yelp.I called him because electricity of my home has gone. They came quickly and did the job. But price was not reasonable according to the work.

I rarely write revioews about ANYTHING but BBQ, however, when you encounter a business that is truly OUTSTANDING in it's field - you have to make an exception and let everybody know about it !  I trusted in my fellow Yelpers reviews about this business and am delighted that I did so !

I contacted Peter, the owner of B&C Electric and described to him my situation of having a contract to sell a residence that the buyers inspector had listed 10 electrical items to get repaired within a certain timeframe before the closing date. He was very straightforward and honest with me, telling me that he had given his word already on a few larger jobs ahead of mine so it would be at least a day or two before he could take a look at mine. I appreciated his honesty, and knew that I wanted him to do the job,  so told him I would wait. Within 48 hours, Peter called ( after an already long & hard day of fixing folks electric problems) and asked if I wanted him to take a look at the job after he stopped at home long enough to eat dinner with his wife & kids !

We met at my jobsite (vacant house in Garland ) that night , and I showed him each of the items on the inspectors list that had to be repaired. I asked him if it would be o.k. for me to use my Home Depot card to purchase the materials he would need (since cash is tight at the moment till this house sale closes ) and he said No problem. He quoted me a bid for the entire job that I thought was VERY fair, less than I had expected and on a couple of items I asked about he said I'm just doing that for free, it's included in the bid ! W-O-W ! We agreed to meet there early the next morning.

Bright & early, sure enough, Peter was there and quickly began to systematically go from repairing one electric problem to the next. The man is a MASTER ELECTRICIAN not a handyman, not a journeyman, but a man who knows what he is doing ! His knowledge of a variety of different types of electric problems and how to resolve them is extensive. He installed a needed component on the hot water heater to bring it code compliant, replaced a bathroom exhaust fan/light combo (requiring some hot attic time) repaired an outdoor grounding unit in the pool area, installed several new light kits on ceiling fans, replaced light & dimmer switches, etc. etc. - and never even stopped to take a break !

Once all the repairs had been completed , Peter went from room to room cleaning up all the old electric parts & repair debris from each place he had worked. Start to finish EVERYTHING was done in about three hours ! We walked through the house checking every item he had repaired and everything was working great . I could not be a happier customer.

This is one hard working young man, running an independant business, taking pride in his work and treating his customers fairly and honestly. He knows his trade and performs his craftsmanship with integrity and honor. I am proud to highly reccomend Peter for ANY kind of electrical work that you might need to have done !

B&C Electric has done fantastic work on our home for 18 months now.  We bought a new home and encountered normal issues with builder grade electrical work.  Poor breakers, lower end equipment, etc.   B&C revamped and repaired our entire electrical infrastructure including adding outdoor switches for landscaping.   They are reliable and timely in their work.   We have had no issues.   A great vendor.

Today is Friday. I called Monday and after learning from their message that you can text the same number so I decided to send a detailed text with what I needed.  I got no reply by the next day so I called again and left a voice message this time. I have still yet to get a call back. I guess they don't need any business.

I've had the pleasure to have Peter do my electrical work for many years, starting at my first house almost 10 years ago.  Haven't had the need for any electrical work for the last few years. I recently moved into another place and needed an electrician, and called Peter.   He remembered me and was very responsive and got me taken care off above and beyond what I expected.  Very professional and tidy.  Definitely recommend!

I hit up my go to friend list to find a trusted electrician and they came back with nothing but bad reviews and experiences.  I was then shocked to stumble upon B&C Electric with such amazing reviews on Yelp and thought it was too good to be true.  Good thing for me, it was not.

I contacted Peter, the owner of B&C Electric and described to him my situation over the phone and he warned me up front of the potential issues and that it could get pricey since my house was built in 1924.  i.e.: you never know what you are going to get and it could take an entire re-wire.  

He arrived the following day, investigated the issue, diagnosed it and fixed it all within the hour.  No re-wire involved -- just shotty work done by a fly by night contractor that he had to fix.  Peter is a true trustworthy and knowledgeable electrician.  I will be using B&C for all my electrical needs moving forward.

We have an old house and had been experiences some electrical outages in parts of the house.  Peter was very professional.  He is clearly very busy, juggling different jobs, so I was happy to wait a few days as our problem was not really an emergency.  Peter identified several problems with our old switchboard and showed me why he thought things were not working as they should.  He replaced some parts.  Pricing was reasonable.  I'd have no hesitation in calling Peter when I need electrical help in the future!

I had Peter evaluate an old panel.  He gave me the straight skinny on it (didn't need replacement-- Whew!).  Had him put in a couple of outlets for specialized uses.  Very professional, including thorough clean up.  Competitive rate, yelp coupon made it better for me.

I would highly recommend calling Peter at B&C Electric.  I called based on the reviews I found here on yelp and they did not steer me wrong.  Although I only had a small job and I saw the two reviews that said they never got a call back, I thought I would take my chances based on the other reviews.  I first sent a text message on a Saturday about the job and I didn't get an immediate reply, but since I wasn't in a big hurry, I didn't call another electrician.  Peter finally responded a couple of days later and came out almost right away.  (The problem with our last electrician was that he never showed up or called when he said he would.)  Peter did the job quickly and took the time to check out some other electrical problems we've had in our old house.  He was great with my kids, who pestered him the whole time he was working with questions and comments.  Peter apologized for not calling right away and said that he does have a lot of work right now, more than he can get to, BUT I still would recommend calling him!   In my opinion, finding someone honest, knowledgable, and hard working is worth waiting a couple of days for.
