HISTORY
Established in 1995.
Anna earned her journeyman electrical license in 1978. She was one of the first women licensed in Dallas, TX. She spent almost ten years at The City of Dallas, receiving training in motor and refrigeration circuits, security lighting, hazardous location wiring, and general wiring. She helped design, build, and maintain the electrical systems for our libraries, fire stations, police buildings, and park buildings, to name just a few. She left The City, the day before her first son was born (she has two, grown sons) and decided to derail her career, for her children. When they were still young, Anna would take on small jobs while her mother would watch the boys. More and more jobs came, and by the time the boys started pre-school, Anna had a small business going. The business grew by word of mouth, only. Referrals from customers was my only form of advertising. I have never forgotten that it is each and every customer that can make or break my business.
ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
Jesus Serrato is a very valuable part of Anna's Electric. He came to work for me, fresh out of high school. His counselor had contacted me about a remarkable young man who was very smart and planned on continuing his education, but who also needed to work, to contribute to his family.
Jesus soaks up information like a sponge. Besides all there is to learn to be a really great electrician, he has also been attending classes, all the years he has been with me,pursuing his electrical engineering degree. He and his sweet wife, Jennifer, who is a teacher, have made a good life for themselves. They have planned carefully and worked very hard.
I get Jesus' opinion on most things, from the electricians and apprentices we have hired, to what he thinks is the best way to route wiring through a particularly tough attic.
All seven of Anna's electricians and apprentices respect and like each other, but we all know that Jesus is the man.

I called, and the first thing I hear...hello this is Anna.
Not a recording, not an answering service, not Rhonda receptionist...but the owner actually answered the phone! So 5 stars there.
Then I tell her my issue with breaker box/panel. Her answer was a true diagnostic answer!!! Not a ...well you know it's probly time to rewire the whole house...but we don't know til we spend 8 hours a lookin and diggin around and we charge on the half hour...
Anna asked me to go to breaker panel...we talked and I ended up emailing her pictures for a closer look. I gave her a minute to look at my email and she called me back and said guys are on there way and here is what I think the deal is...one of two things. So another 5 stars!!
We hang up ... Then she calls me back, asks if the breaker box/panel (which I told her was in garage) was easy to access from driveway...the closer the truck is the faster the guys can work...oh my lord are you KIDDING ME!!!!! She was concerned about what I was paying them to work...I have NEVER had a contractor that concerned about that.... 50 stars!!!!
Guys arrive take of my issue until we can get a part we need to fully correct my problem in the safest way.
Anna, Chester and all who work with this business are in my opinion the best...very old school in the way they do business and I love it!!! LOVE IT.
All the stars in the sky to this deal. I am never calling another electrician.

Anna's came through for me and got me in for a last minute appointment when I was experiencing some electrical issues following one of these crazy North Texas storms.
They only lose a star because 1. As other's have mentioned, it's literally a lady named Anna and her voicemail. You have to wait for her to call you back for an appointment. No texting. 2. They only take cash or checks in the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty two?
Other than that, they get the job done. Definitely recommend for Oak Cliff homeowners since they are local.
Anna's electric is the best. I had an old fusebox that had been recalled in the 1990's (!!) as being a fire hazard!
Anna and Chester came out and changed the box. They are professional and the work is meticulous. I've used them several times since and prefer to use no one else.
I highly recommend Anna.

They installed a 50amp plug for me. Very professional and they were done in a timely manner. Highly recommend!
Anna's electric came recommended to me by the previous owner of my house. I needed a new outlet/circuit installed in my house, and I also needed to install a new outlet in a detached structure. They were very professional, considerate, and friendly. I will definitely use them again.

I'm a new homeowner and needed new ceiling fans and light fixtures installed. I've never hired an electrician before so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm very happy with the service I received! The two contractors arrived and were friendly and professional. They kept their masks on while in my home, which was great. They installed everything and made sure they cleaned up any leftover debris before leaving. I will definitely hire them again!

I can't really say enough great things about Anna's Electric. If you're looking for professionalism, high quality and efficient work, and fair prices, look no further.
I found Anna's when looking through Electricians to rewire my 1926 house. Anna's been in the biz for decades, and safe to say she and her husband/Senior Electrician Chester know their stuff backwards, forwards, and every other possible way. Their crewmembers Chuy and Jesus are fantastic also--fun guys who know exactly what they're doing when it comes to electricity. Over a period of three weeks, they systematically ripped out the old and unsafe wiring in our house and replaced it up to code while making important repairs along the way. They were excellent about answering the questions I had in the middle of the job and catering to some other modifications I wanted them to make, leaving me feeling like I was really in the hands of trusted friends or family members.
Based in Oak Cliff, the only problem you're likely to have with Anna's is availability, as they are pretty much constantly booked up by loyal customers.
Because of weather and some other things, I did have the occasional issue with emergency calls requiring their services in the middle of my job, but it didn't cause me any problems and they very generously offered to comp another of my repairs as a result. I was enormously impressed with the level of personal service and was left feeling extremely satisfied.
I'll never go anywhere else for any kind of electrical work, and neither should you. These are the kind of folks 5-star reviews exist for. Thanks so much!!!
Excellent experience with Anna's Electric. She has an impressive background that includes huge projects for the city. I wanted ceiling canned lights installed on bottom of 2 story home. She reviewed the project, followed up with a reasonable estimate and completed the project according to our agreement. Her crew is expert in their knowledge and workmanship. Prompt, courteous, and easy to work with. I look forward to working with them in future projects in my 60 year old home.

They sent someone out 30 minutes after I called, and fixed the electrical problem we had with our water heater for what seems like forever in like an hour.
Amazing, and best of all extremely affordable compared to other places I considered. Definitely recommend and will use again!

Technicians showed up on time, were knowledgeable and efficient, answered questions and provided good information. Anna's was easy to deal with, will use next time and would recommend them to friends and family.
Got a return call today.Took about a week or so,but I`m happy.So stay tuned..
We called and no one answered so we left a message. No one ever bothered to return our call. I understand if they are busy, but it is plain bad business to ignore a potential client.
I was looking on yelp for an electrician, and loved to find a woman electrician. I called to make an appointment, and instead she helped walk me through how to correct my problem. She didn't even ask for money. If I ever have a problem I will be using her in the future!!!

Anna and her crew are great! I have used them on a big job (bringing my electrical panels up to code) and some small jobs (replacing/adding outlets, repairing blinking fixtures) and each time it's the same ol' thing...awesomeness. They work quickly, explain clearly, clean up after themselves and as far as I can tell the prices are fair. They will be my first and last call for any future electrical work.
Fast, courteous and great work. I used them to repair some electrical outlets and switches that were old, outdated or I messed up. I was impressed when three people came out for the appointment, making quick work of the problems.
Anna gave us a thorough and accurate estimate. She and her electricians did great work. They found problems we didn't even know we had, and DIDN'T CHARGE US TO FIX THEM. The work was done fast and to a high degree of quality. The cherry was that it came in under-budget, so we spent less than the original estimate.

I'm pleased. The chain of good recommendations continues! A friend suggested Anna's Electric. I called one morning and they were able to add me to their schedule for same-day service. The technicians arrived on time, conducted themselves courteously, and got the job done very quickly without running up a huge bill for what turned out to be a small problem. In fact, they saved us money by advising us to wait a few days before requesting service on an appliance that we thought was broken. They said the issue with the appliance was probably based on the electrical problem they had just fixed, so having it serviced might be unnecessary. So far, it looks like they were right!

Anna's Electric is AWESOME! Her guys showed up right on time, confirmed what I wanted repaired and then got right to work. Every one of her employees was friendly, knowledgeable and they took the time to answer all of my questions. Anna herself showed up later and pitched in. She too was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain to me what she was doing. I was thrilled when I received the bill because I expected to be charged WAY more than I was. Her guys were here for almost three hours and they did a LOT of work. I paid less than half what I thought I'd be paying! Just before Anna left she asked me if I was happy with her crew and the work they did. She really cares about the quality of her work and the satisfaction of her customers. I'd imagine this is how it used to be... When you knew your neighbors, people waved and said hello with a smile just in passing on the street, a person's word was all you needed and was good as gold, everyone called Joe at Joe's plumbing for their pipes, took their cars to Sonny at Sonny's Garage for service and called Anna at Anna's Electric for all things electric! The lost art of human interaction still exists and I'm pretty sure Oak Cliff is the only place you can find it and Anna is doing her part to keep it alive and well. So honest and what would have cost up to at the least the thousand dollar mark only cost a few hundred. It was million dollar service and expert quality work on a dollar and a dime budget. I still know the names of the 3 man crew that came and pretty sure I'll add them to my Christmas card list this year. You just don't get service like this anymore and where you usually feel like you've lost a fight and been beat up and robbed you'll walk away feeling like you've gained so much and won something! Sounds unbelievable and strange huh? Well its definitely not strange but it sure is rare! Thank you Anna! And Thank you, Chester, Chet and Chuy! You all ROCK! Humanity still exists...
