Align Foundation Repair

Alan with Align came out to my property on a Saturday that was a reschedule due to them cancelling because of rain. He got there 15 minutes late, with no apology. Four days later, after many phone calls to the rude girl who answers their phones and I finally got a quote! Two days later, Alan contacts me stating that he would be sending me another quote to add just in case something would happen when they lifted the house. I said okay... Two weeks later and I haven't heard from Alan... Not that I'd even dare hire them. Fact is, Alan gave me a quote for $2,376. Something tells me he thought about it and wanted to charge me even more after the quote. Don't even waste your time with this so called company. Don't believe me, see for yourself.

Best foundation company ever. I have used for several properties and have been 100% comfortable every time. Great family company that has always treated me honestly and just. I can't recommend higher and frequently refer them.

Align has done foundation work on 2 family members homes with terrific long-term results and recently did drainage work on our personal home. They are professional, down to earth, clear and concise, and priced great! I recommend them 100%.

A friend from my real estate class recommended Align Foundation Repair and I was not disappointed! I felt that they were very honest and the price was right (half of what a competitor had bid) and there were no surprises when I got the invoice. Brooks Plumbing came and did the post lift plumbing test and they were very professional as well. I will recommend Align to friends and family.

I can't say enough about how happy we were with the entire process of dealing with Align.
First, let me say that I know construction. I was in the land development business for 10 years. My wife knows real estate and has been active in the Dallas real estate market for the last 7 years.

We recently turned a screened in porch area into an enclosed part of our 1942 Lakewood home. The original porch was built on Pier and Beam. As it was fairly recent construction and done with proper permits, we wrongly assumed the construction would be adequate to support the extra weight we would be adding with our enclosure of the area.

In short, after a few months, we notice some cracks. My wife had referred all of her clients to Align with nothing but great stories of satisfied customers. Now it was our turn.

In the end we had to add a few new Piers and raise the floor level back to where it needed to be. We also replaced all the shims with steel. The price was substantially less than we had anticipated. The work was done in just 1 day and the clean up of the site was excellent.

A few months have gone by now since the work was completed and there are no issues.

Oh by the way, while I had Align at the house, I asked them to look at he main house system too. Again to replace any shims necessary and to check out why our dinning room floor seemed less solid than the rest of the house. Well, it seems the 1940 contractor did not install a beam or piers anywhere under that room. Maybe they thought it was small enough not to need it. Well no more do our plates in the cabinets rattle when we walk in that room.

Again, no problems at all since the work was done.

I would strongly recommend Jason and his team for any foundation issues.

I renovate properties & have used numerous foundation companies over the last 10 years but Align Foundation is by far the best company I've ever used & have continued to use them the last few years. They're very knowledgeable & take their time to explain exactly what needs to be done. I've recommended them to friends & family & have always gotten good reviews from them.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. 2 months after my repair and I was still trying to track down reports and tests that were paid for. This has been one BIG hassle. The estimate was a breeze but actually getting the estimate in writing (via email), having the job scheduled or even a return phone call or email was only the beginning. I should have stuck to my instincts and moved on to another company. But now I have learned my lesson the hard way. I gave Josh and his company a chance to prove they aren't the company that the lacks in customer service, this was his request. I gave him a chance and they failed. Over 2 months after the repair and I still didn't have reports or paperwork that I paid for. Engineers report, post plumbing test, warranty, post elevation levels.......

Shortly after my foundation repair a plumber (contracted through Align) contacted me to advise they had done the post plumbing test and had found an issue that would cause my test to fail. I was assured the information would be in the report and I could obtain that from the foundation company in a few days. When I followed up with Align, Josh was not even aware the test had been done. Over the next 2 months I contacted Align looking to get the plumbers report and all they could do was tell me they aren't' the plumber and offer me the phone # to call the plumber. When I called the plumber I was told my test would be done in a few days. I let them know that it had already been done and i was waiting on the report. To this day I still don't know if one guy came out or two guys came. The purpose of the plumbing test is to check the house after the foundation is lifted, obviously checking for leaks. 2 months later, what good does that do if there is a leak under my house from the foundation repair? once I finally got the the plumbing report it stated the problem with my clean out and suggested an additional job that would cost $700+. At this point I couldn't even get the Align contracted plumber to answer or return my messages. I wanted to discuss the issue in more detail than what was on the report. I hired my own plumber (at my expense) to get a second opinion and peace of mind.

On to the next issue. I also had to leave several messages, and send emails asking for the engineer report (fee also included in my bill) which I finally received, however I still never received the final elevation levels; post lift.

It's very frustrating when your paying thousands upon thousands of dollars and every single aspect of the process takes so much energy and basically hounding the receptionist because of the horrible lack of customer service. I have had two friends ask me to recommend my foundation company and I give them the name of the company and warning to not use them. Even if the actual work is done correctly the hassle and frustration are not worth the stress. I had my foundation repaired in June 2013, lets hope I never have to use the warranty which is also another document that i had to hunt down. If I could give zero stars I would. Do yourself a favor and move on to the next foundation company. Learn from my mistake.

We were very pleased with the work they did. They came on-time and finished as promised.

Jason was very friendly and did a very good job on assessing our house. They found a drainage problem in the garage that none of the others had bothered to look. It didn't need to get fixed but now we know that we need to keep water away from that area to avoid future problems.

Overall, I was very satisfied with their work and would recomend them to anyone.

You know, I was willing to give this company multiple opportunities, but after reading Sarah's review, I have changed my mind. I never actually used them, so this review is based on the hassle of communication. Based on the quote, they are obviously very knowledgeable, and actually seemed to understand the structural engineer's report the best. However, it is such a pain to get any type of information from them, that it throws an immediate red flag. I had to request a quote 3 separate times. If my $10k isn't important to you, or you're just too busy, just tell me up front so I don't waste my time. I finally received a quote, which indicated it didn't quite meet the engineer's report, but didn't go into detail. I requested the details, so I could have my engineer review, but never received it.

First of all the workers were very friendly and did neat work.They put a pier in middle of garage ,now the other side of garage is sagging.Was told it was probably wood structure shifted.I told alan i thought they raised it too much but he says readings were zero but not very sure of that. Called to talk to owner but could only talk to alan.I told them the engineer they sent out only came to the house for about 15 minutes and only brought a pencil and tape measure.Was told by alan he had no control over that.I told them what ever they paid him it was too much.He didnt even make an impression of a bad engineer.I had another engineer come out that brought lasers in and spent over 2 hours and gave me a 79 page report.For 5400.00 dollars i think the bit about engineer would be taken off biil since i told alan i thought i was ripped off.He said he would talk to boss like i wanted to do and havent heard anything.Just agrivating when you think you got ripped off on price.Like i said the main work i was happy with except for by garage.Guess i will just have to live with it.I paid them cash which might have been a mistake.

Josh of Align couldn't have been more responsive. The job was done in 2 to 3 days as he stated, but actually came early due to finishing another job. Price was very reasonable, as I'm a Real Estate investor and know what the price of piers are at Retail. Got a plumber report and engineering report as promised. Will refer Josh business...thanks

Alan was great. He explained everything, gave options, and was professional. Receptionist was friendly & helpful. Work was done with area cleaned & shrubs etc maintained. Staff was friendly at site. Their price was the best of the 3 bids I received.

I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of the process and the professionalism. Alan was great! Everything was done exactly as promised. I recommend Align Foundation as a company you can trust when the inevitable foundation issues arise.

I'm a Realtor and real estate investor so I need and use this service regularly. So far they've evaluated/done work on at least a dozen properties for me. I always get multiple bids when I have a property in need of foundation repair. Jason Spector at Align Foundation is the only company that sometimes says, This house is fine. You don't need us. Their rates are fair and reasonable and they always use a qualified engineer and provide written documentation regarding the scope of work and what work was actually completed. I would happily give them 10 stars if I could. They are extremely trustworthy.
