Chris, the electrician, was friendly, professional, punctual and efficient. He installed a dual plug outside as I'm getting a water softener. He can in the house, did what he needed to do to pull the electricity outside and tidied up when he was done. I'd totally recommend M&I, I found him competitively priced and thorough. Contacted Ron from Yelp and everything that is written about him is true. I needed someone to come by and address an electrical issue that came up during a home inspection and he was great! Prompt, Professional and completed the task at a reasonable price while always taking the time to explain everything clearly and concisely. I was in need of Backyard trail lighting repair for about 24 lights. Walter was wonderful very professional, quick helpful and did a great job. I reached out through Yelp for solar panel cleaning. I got a response and very fair pricing within 5 min. Communication was very professional and set up an appointment right away. The gentleman showed up at the given time and even sent me a prior eta message about 20 minutes before arriving. He did a thorough job cleaning the panels and even waited for them to dry so he could double check his work. I would definitely use their service again.

Contacted Orlando on 9/30 for a request to troubleshoot a possible wiring short issue on the smoke detector circuit at my parents' home in Arcadia.  The short circuit caused all the Nest Protect smoke detectors to go from in wire power to battery backup power.  Orlando arrived the next morning and went to work quickly since he listened to the details I had provided him carefully.  

Orlando fixed the issues and made sure to check all the smoke detectors circuit connections.  All units were brought back online rather quickly.

He is friendly, efficient and knowledgeable.  His pricing is also very reasonable.  Family was definitely pleased.  Will definitely contact Orlando for future electrical needs.

I called Modern Electric this morning for help with an electrical problem. Will, who answered right away, said :Try this. I did. Problem solved.   I will always use Will and Modern for my electrical needs from now on!

I will add my voice to the high praise given to Jason Romano and Debra.  He will be starting the work in two weeks, but from the walk-through to discuss the job, it was apparent that he was trying to find the best solutions.  He discussed options without prompting, which the other electricians I've used do not do.

Jason is very personable, and walked in and, without prompting, put covers over his shoes.   Earlier in the morning, I had a bad experience with an electrician who came highly recommended in the Willow Glen neighborhood in SJ, and when this electrician walked in, he immediately said I bought the wrong outlet cover, which was not true, as he thought I had a slab foundation, and said he wouldn't be responsible for damage to the floor.  That statement did not inspire confidence.  Jason, on the other hand, talked through how they will identify the right place by going into the crawl space, and gave me full confidence that it would be done right.  

Also, the other electrician wanted to tear up the dry wall in a bathroom and drill holes through a number of studs to install a new outlet by pulling the circuit from another outlet.  Jason, on the other hand, will come up from underneath so that we won't tear up the dry wall.  If field conditions make that not possible, he has a dry wall contractor who will come in and repair the wall for a modest cost as part of the job instead of my having to call in a dry wall contractor for what would be a very small job.

If things don't turn out superbly, I will re-post, but I have a good sense about Jason after having done a lot of remodeling work.

UPDATE:  It was as I hoped!  Jason was meticulous in cutting up and fitting the floor outlet and aligning it with a floor carpet so it wouldn't appear crooked.  He was able to install another outlet in the bathroom without cutting up the dry wall.  Very happy.  I thought the price for the several hours he spent at my house was fair, and I am planning to use them again!

I had an intermittent noise coming from within my walks and Jeremy made an appointment right away and determined it was the door bell transformer in the attic. Easy fix and it was done. Thank you

Half my house went dead. It was odd; just the entire south side was out. These guys found the issue quick, showed me how bad the house was wired by my landlord's cheap handyman -- it was a freakin fire hazard above our heads for years!

These guys fixed it plus made my house electricity more stable by cleaning up the ugly mess left by someone else AND out of nowhere three indoor outlets that were dead for 10-years started working out of nowhere -- all because it was wired wrong a decade ago.

I then had him come back for a second gig: to reword half the house, and they did a perfect job. So that's twice three guys did very satisfactory work. Clean lines!

After moving into our new home, we realized that our new home only had hookups for a gas dryer, however we have an electric dryer. After calling Israel, he was able to do a same day quote, and start the following morning.
   Numerous contractors have been working on our new home, however Israel was the only one who has been on time to show up for a contracted job. He is very professional and a hard worker. His prices are very fair, and even though our job was a little more involved than he originally thought, he stuck to his quoted price. I highly recommend him for your electrical needs.
