The wire to my alarm antenna was cut during the windshield replacement, costing me $400 for a new alarm (because the wiring harness for the alarm is not available anymore. Otherwise would have been about $50 for a new wire and connector). The shop that installed the alarm told me that those wires get cut often on windshield replacements and even tried to repair the wiring for me. Figuring that some customers might expect a glass company to cover the cost of a loss like that, I called to inform them of what happened, so that they could prevent it in the future.
