Save Home Heat Electrician
We have used Save Home Heat for various projects for about 20 years. They serviced our very old hot water (boiler) heat system until it needed replacing. The timing was right to upgrade to a high efficiency model which we did. However the technology was new then and the furnace worked well for some years but did not last as long as  predicted industry wide. After researching online, I discovered it was not worth repairing anymore as the brand was no longer in business and it would be impossible to get parts. We upgraded to a newer model of a longer running company. That turned out quite well, though it has more electronics and does sometimes need some fixes. This most recent repair though had nothing to do with the newest furnace and everything to do with the 1979 remodel that installed the zone system throughout the house  to be able to heat the addition and a better system for the original part of the house. One of the valves in one zone component had failed.

I called Save Home Heat and they gave  us an appointment for today. A service tech who had been here before was able to do the repair as he carries many traditional parts on the truck.  It is now running well.

We have also bought some ductless AC units  (mini-splits) from this company a few years ago as our house had no central air and it could not be installed as we do not have ducts since we do not have forced air heat. It is a great solution. They service those too and most, but not all of the house can be cooled well enough, now that summers are so hot here. We have lots of shade trees that had been sufficient until a few years ago when climate change brought us summers so warm.

They are a good company to work with though they do get busy, so it is not always easy to get a tech as quickly as this time but they have never left us without heat in severe weather. All of these units do require advanced tech from their staff so it is not an inexpensive fix but it is also necessary to do right. The phone staff has aways been accommodating and the sales people knowledgeable. I started with the company founders  who are now all retired but the newer staff does just as well.

Handyman Plus Electrician
The vent-less fireplace did not work in the house I moved  into.  The job required removing the vent-less fireplace and installing a chimney from the basement up to the living room, into the garage, and  through the room above the garage.  This job would discourage anyone, but  it came out  perfectly.  The building inspector said it was an excellent install. Travis was responsible for the chimney rough-in, building an enclosed bench to hide the chimney in  the living room and all finishing work relating to make this job work.  He was amazing.  Everyone who has seen it cannot believe the complexity of the job and the finished work.  I truly recommend Travis for any home repair or remodeling services. He is  to be commended.

Tipping Hat Plumbing, Heating & Electric Electrician
I was having issues with vents not flowing AC properly. I contacted Tipping Hat for a technician to come out and help determine the issue. The technician arrived in a timely manner and was working to determine the issue. He noticed some repairs that were needed and gave us a quote for repairs. It seemed reasonable and do-able. Then he had one of his managers come out as well to check it out, and suddenly according to the manager we need an entire new system. He started looking all over the home and found all sorts of issues he wanted to fix. Before I knew it, he has created an amount of replacements & repairs that totaled $17,000. He never once offered the option of repairs only that the original technician gave us, but was strictly focused on replacing everything with someone brand new. He talked a good game, knowing I was naive to HVAC systems and repairs, and made me feel like our only option was to replace everything. He was very pushy and basically assumed I was ready to agree to a $17,000 replacement cost on the spot. He also never once asked if I wanted to get a second opinion before agreeing to all of this. He assumed I would do it, had the paperwork to sign ready to go and would send out a person to start replacements the following day. I told him I wanted to think about it, but he was insisting if I wait at all, the prices would change and I would be paying even more than what he already stated. I told him I was not ready to make such a huge decision and wanted to think about it, but he essentially forced me to apply for pre-approval for financing so that I would be pre-approved when I decided to agree (again, assuming I would agree to this $17,000 replacement). Because I was so overwhelmed by what he was saying to me, I applied for the pre-approval making sure to ask multiple times that this was not opening an account for payments, but just checking to see if I would be approved for financing. He assured me that nothing would be opened in my name. After he left, I reached out to others and realized how he had duped me into believing I needed a $17,000 replacement system. I contacted him back letting him know I did not want to move forward with anything and again brought up the pre-approval and making sure it wasn't going to open and start a brand new account for me. He confirmed that it wouldn't do anything. Yet today, I received a new card and information about my first payment for this pre-approval. I called the card company and handled it, closed my account, but I am livid that I was forced into this by an incredibly pushy salesman who assured me multiple times that nothing would be opened in my name, and also felt it was necessary to PUSH a $17,000 replacement system rather than letting me get repairs like the original technician had shared with me. I have no intention of contacting Tipping Hat again due to this encounter.

Fix-it 24/7 Electrician
We can't say enough about our experience with Michael C. from Fix-it 24/7.  He initially came to our home to give us a bid on repairing and replacing the can lights in our kitchen ceiling, and to diagnose and fix a switch which didn't work.  After getting a bid from another company as well, we decided to go with Fix-it 24/7.  Michael expertly replaced the can lights and fixed the 2 switches in the kitchen (which had been incorrectly installed when the kitchen was remodeled by a previous owner).  We also discussed with him to give us a quote to replace all outlets and switches through out the entire house as they were aluminum wiring (house was built in the 60s).  Their quote was reasonable and fair.  Michael and his assistant came on time as scheduled, completed the work without issue, cleaned up after themselves, and there were no surprise charges.  We are extremely satisfied.  My husband and I recommend this company without reservation.

AAA Service Plumbing, Heating & Electric Electrician
The technician was nice but the price is outrageous.   All they did was push a reset button inside the water heater and it cost me $220.   I should've went with my better judgement and called an independent plumber.   He recommended i change my water heater soon and it will cost $2100, yea right like i will ever call you guys again.  I wouldn't recommend these to anyone, unless you want to feel taken advantage of.
