Best Lighting Installation in Columbus OH
When I submitted a request for an estimate to install an EV charging outlet, Care Electric promptly responded. They were able to come to my home within a few days. They installed and wired the outlet pretty quickly and their work looks good. The price they charged was very reasonable compared to what I've read about others paying for similar work. I'll definitely call Care Electric the next time I need an electrician.

Second experience not too good. Called and sent over materials to arrange an on site estimate. No response received. Called and asked about the estimate and was told that the email was received and that someone would contact me. No response back.
After four days, I emailed that I was going to use someone else. The next day I got an apologetic email explaining that they got really busy and appreciated me advising that the job was no longer needed.
A few suggestions.
1. Acknowledge inquiries. Little as frustrating as emailing a business into a black hole. A simple response saying the email was received does wonders.
2. If within 24 hours, you can't provide a substantive response on next steps, again, follow up with a communication. Nothing says customer indifference like not communicating. Be proactive - don't make the customer chase.
3. If you are too busy, again let the customer know that the request is going to take some time and give the customer an option to accept that or look elsewhere. Again, time is valuable to each of us. Lost days matter when waiting for a response. Act professionally even when the job can't be done and customers will remember. Blow them off and all that is left is a sour taste.

Power to one room had gone out. Checked the breaker in advance to make sure that was not it. Called Strickland. Nate responded within the hour and was able to get us in for same day service. Professional all the way. Was able to locate problem in an outlet that had gone bad. Really happy with the service

Damon was so nice to come out on a holiday and replace an outlet that was damaged. Super professional and knowledgeable. He was able to come out the same day- you can't ask for any better response time. Such a great person to work with. We look forward to getting more electrical projects handled by Damon in the future! Damon, we cannot thank you enough!!!!

During summer 2021 I began planning for the installation of a mini-split unit for an all season room without any air conditioning or heating. I selected Custom Air, Columbus, Ohio, to install a Mitsubishi mini-split unit, but I had to find an electrician to provide 220 volt service to the exterior wall of the room. I contacted seven electrical companies for estimates, a couple did not show up at the arranged time. I ultimately received five estimates, Safe Electric was one of the more expensive (not the most expensive), but Ed spent more time than any other electrician carefully looking over the project and then provided the most detailed estimate that was all inclusive. Some companies had provided very general estimates that included language saying things like, ...additional required materials and time to be paid for by the property owner. Ed installed the wiring in 90 feet of metal (not plastic) pipe that he bent (with a pipe bending tool) to perfectly fit snugly under the eave of the roof. The sections of pipe were connected with waterproof fittings. The entire installation was very professional and is does not detract from the home's exterior appearance. The County's Building Inspector was very impressed with the entire installation. Please see the attached four photos. Three photos show how snugly Ed tucked away the metal pipe containing the 240 volt electrical wiring. I drew in a red line showing the path and pipe because it can be difficult to see. The forth photo is of one of the water tight fittings where the sections of pipe are connected.

Necessary precursor for COVID: he arrived in a mask, no hugging, no handshakes, super professional.
Also, brought a change of shoes, which was nice, even though my house looks like a bomb went off in it anyways.
I posted through Yelp looking for someone to install an outlet to replace a range in my kitchen. I had a few people reach out, and I reached outside of Yelp as well (which was a failure) - but Jason hit me up right away, had a scheduled time ready to come over and check out what I needed. I *assumed* it'd be a quick once over of the project, an estimate, and I'd continue my hunt when I don't get a call back.
Instead, he was ready to go when he showed up - he saw the work that needed done, gave me an estimate for time + parts and hammered it out FAST (including running out to pick up a couple parts). So before he left, I had one OTHER immediate electrical project I needed - I attempted to fix my ceiling fan light and it no longer worked - he found it was a faulty socket (something I didn't know to check!) and tightened my wire work, and had it hammered out as well!
Plain and simple - Jason was in and out, and knocked two items that have been weighing on me since the new year.
I'm incredibly happy with his professionalism, friendliness, speed of service, and communication!

Brian and team of Masters Electric did a great job. We had a number of residential light fixtures needing to be installed and Masters did it well and in good time. They also offered competitive pricing. I recommend Masters Electric.

Had called several other companies without an answer. They called back within 15 minutes and were at my home a few hours later. Very professional and the pricing was definitely fair. They were done within 30 minutes and I couldn't have been more pleased with the whole experience.

Excellent communication from beginning to end! We had a small electrical problem we just couldn't figure out on our own. We called Buckeye Electric and they understood the problem and scheduled us in quickly to remedy the problem, even apologized that they couldn't get there immediately. On the day they were to come they had a few jobs ahead of us run over and they called us to let us know and worked with us to ensure we could accommodate the shift in times. So much better than the standard 4 hour window so many places want! The problem was identified quickly and fixed with no fuss. Yay!

Use caution and get a second opinion when dealing with this business!
I contacted Mr. Handyman of East Columbus, New Albany and Gahanna get an estimate to have a 10 square foot bathroom shower floor retiled. I was asked to send in a picture of the floor, which I did. Much to my shock, the estimate came back as a three-day job for $6,000 - $7,000!!!! I was told that they'd have to tear up the shower step-in, the tub underneath the tile and the subfloor. I said that I only wanted to have the tile redone and their response was that it was the same price as they were planning on having to rip out the subfloor (and all this from a picture!). I asked if they charged $1,500/hour and was told that they don't charge by the hour, they charge by the job.
I just had a professional tiler look at the shower floor, and he estimated the job at $250. Quite a difference! Just to be sure I was comparing apples to apples, I asked him about the tub underneath the tile as well as the subfloor. He said that there was no need to touch any of that and went on to say that there's a special glue that can be used to overlay the new tile on top of the old tile. The gentleman I am now dealing with has been a tile installer for 30+ years and comes highly recommended by several people I know. Care to guess who I'll be going with?
My entire exchange with Mr. Handyman of East Columbus, New Albany and Gahanna was done via texting, so I have a written copy of it all. I'm not sure what would possess someone to quote a job that is 2,400% - 2,800% higher than normal, but it only takes a couple of uninformed customers to make these ludicrous prices pay off.
