Excellent response from the office and great communications from the electrician. Especially appreciate the flat rate for the type of job. I know that I'm not being taken advantage of.

This is a long overdue review as Kemly has been a trusted go-to resource for many years now.

My first interaction with them was a complete home re-wire on my 1926 craftsman. I called 5 electricians and only 2 actually produced a bid. They were within rounding distance of each other so I just went with the one I felt most comfortable with.  

They replaced & relocated the breaker box and replaced all older wiring. As with many homes, mine was actually a mix of modern and knob and tube wiring. They inspected everything and gave me feedback/the option of what needed to be replaced and what was acceptable to leave (i.e. studs remodel of kitchen from just a couple of years prior). They also were realistic about adding/relocating outlets and other little add-ons later.

They kept me regularly up to date as to how the project was progressing and left the jobsite clean at the end of each workday. They accidentally broke the glass door of my oven while moving it and immediately ordered & installed a replacement without skipping a beat. (Accidents happen, and I appreciate that they just owned it and fixed it with no hassle)

A few months later, I needed an EV charger installed on the exterior of my home. They came by, listened to what I needed, and worked with me to formulate a functional plan.

When I needed to have a dining room light swapped out, I got on the waiting list for Kemly. They were booking 3-4 weeks out. But, as my job was small they called and got me in the very next week. They do have a 1 (or 2?) hour minimum so I asked if they could take a look at my under-counter lighting which had been on the fritz. Turns out the contractor who installed it used some janky wiring that hadn't held up well. They were able to fix the issue in about 15 minutes. Let there be light!

Kemly is always a class act. They show up on time. Do what they say they will. Provide accurate quotes/estimates and take care of your home while they are here.

There might be cheaper options out there but Kemly is a local, family owned company, who I know does great work. They've certainly earned my loyalty over the years.

Had some work performed by Valor Electric for the first time in 2017 to rewire my house that we discovered had knob and tube. My husband just passed away and It was a tough time for me.Victor came and he had so much compassion by how he talked to me and explained to me how the process and details were. I hired them again to help me rewire a 3 bedroom 1 bath addition that I am currently building. I am very impressed with the company. They were extremely professional and courteous. Jeron and Royal's work was great quality, neat and they cleaned up in the areas they worked in. Prices are very good and service is top notch. This is a company that builds their bussiness based on honesty, hard work and kindness of their hearts. I will never forget how much Victor helped me especially during the hardest time of my life. We are incredibly grateful for Electric Co of Seattle! We had an electrical emergency two days before Christmas, and they came to the rescue. Such fantastic customer service, especially from Deja, who immediately put our request to the top and sent someone over, and Brian who came out to fix the issue.  Brian is extremely professional and knowledgable. Not only did he get to the root of the issue quickly, but he was very careful and meticulous.  We learned a lot in the hour he was at our home, teaching us what likely was the cause of the issue.  We trusted Brian completely and will be using Electric Co of Seattle go forward for all our electrical needs.  Their team was responsive, great to work with and we would highly recommend them any day!

I have learned over the years that electricity was something best left to the experts, Seth was my first call--and my only call. I had planned to get bids from several electricians, but once I talked to  Seth at SMC Electric, I stopped searching. Not only was he prompt, honest, and very courteous, he was also extremely professional. Seth was very upfront with project costs and time, and had everything done well ahead of what was promised. Had 3 outlets installed in our bathroom. They worked hard to limit the number of drywall holes and in the end I only have 1 hole to patch. Thoughtful good work

Over extended??

I called for an estimate. They explained they weren't taking any new projects and I should call back in 6 months... What!? 6? Yes, six.

I had an electrical issue during the recent storm and Shawn and his partner were available on short notice to help out. They diagnosed and fixed the issue and also gave me some good advice on future updates I can do to prevent similar issues. Professional and courteous. Thank you!

We have had Obot Electric do several projects for us over the past 5 years. They are consistently great at being on time and considerate, completing the job to our satisfaction, and they are thorough and competent.  We look forward to the next electrical improvement we can have them help us with.

I hired Jon to do some electrical work to bring powers to my AC, and I was very impressed by his service. He gave me a competitive quote, showed up on time, and completed the job quickly, and efficiently. He was very knowledgeable and explained well what he was doing. He also made sure it was working properly before he left. He was very professional, responsive and reliable throughout the process. I definitely recommend him for any small electrical work.

The phone reps at Mr Electric are polite but that's about the only positive thing I can say about them. They don't have an hourly rate and instead offer to send someone over to provide a free, onsite estimate.

I made an appointment for Thurs but they accidentally sent someone over on Wed. Since we were home and spotted the Mr Electric truck outside our house, we had the guy come in, and explained ehat we wanted done. Well, their estimate to replace 7 smoke detectors and 1 bathroom timer (I already had all the parts on hand) was $1100!!! I got an estimate of $170 from another electrician, recommended by Handy.com.

Enough said. I'll leave it to you to draw your own conclusions.

So disappointed with their customer service. Had them out to clear a clogged drain which they said they were leaving a thing of bio-clean to use on the drain. We asked if there was an additional charge for the bio-clean and were told that there was not. Paid the $500+ bill, which we thought was too high, and asked for the invoice. We were told the invoice would be sent via email. Sure enough when we received the email the invoice had a charge of $89 for the bio-clean. Called multiple times requesting a refund. Finally received an email back - not a call - that they would not be refunding the price of the bio-clean as they believe that we were informed of the additional cost. There is no way we would have agreed to the cost for something like that. We have used Hunts a few times in the past and we're planning on using them more. After this incident we will not be using their services at all. I would advise others to also rethink using them. Check out the bbb complaints and note that their business practice seems to be to offer refunds after a poor review has been left - as long as the customer removes the complaint and signs a waiver. That right there is a red flag! Think. Check things out. Find another service company to use.
