Merv Electric Electrician
First time working with Merv Electric today and it certainly won't be the last. They were responsive,  quick and highly reliable. We unexpectedly needed an electrician to swap out a circuit breaker for an oven we were having installed for the holidays and they were able to work us into their schedule on very short notice. The electrician was a total pro - so easy to work with and very courteous. Thanks to Merv Electric, Thanksgiving was saved! Would highly recommend and will definitely use again.

Electric Company Of Seattle Electrician
I also had Brian come out and help me with some garage electrical work.  He helped me install 220v power, including a new subpanel, and 6 outlets.  He did the job very quickly, and did an excellent job.  can finally turn on my saws without fear of tripping breakers constantly now, so I'm very happy about that.  The price was also very reasonable, less than half of what other electricians quoted.

Brian also took the time to explain how things worked, and gave some suggestions for other improvements I could do on my own.

Also, Stephen was super prompt to reply to my emails -- other electricians weren't even responding to my inquiries, but Stephen was responding as late as 1 or 2am.  He also came out on a Sunday.   I wouldn't hesitate to use Electric company again.

Milestone Electric Electrician
Pretty much super awesome. They were very friendly and since we are overly curious, we asked tons of questions to which they excitedly answered. Not a single complaint.

We had to have our circuit breaker box/panel replaced. Wyatt and TJ did a good job and got to our house on time. They were here from about 9:30 to 3:30. The work was estimated to take around 4-6 hours, but this old house had some issues to work around/fix (plus we were probably a little distracting.) Wyatt was also very helpful about giving us some hints about some other projects we are doing on our own. Milestone Electric is also way more affordable than another place we had come do an estimate.

We would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who needs an electrician. Really glad we found them.

SMC Electric Electrician
I have learned over the years that electricity was something best left to the experts, Seth was my first call--and my only call. I had planned to get bids from several electricians, but once I talked to  Seth at SMC Electric, I stopped searching. Not only was he prompt, honest, and very courteous, he was also extremely professional. Seth was very upfront with project costs and time, and had everything done well ahead of what was promised. Seth even answered all my questions while he was working. It's really rare to find his level of work ethic these days. Thank you for your help Seth from SMC Electric!

Linder Electric Electrician
We used Linder Electric through our kitchen remodel with the Home Depot. The work was expensive, but apparently did not include enough work for us to pass the electrical inspection at the end because the job was not finished. We were told it was finished but failed an electrical inspection, which is not what we expected after paying about $2,300 for them to move a couple of outlets. In the end, my husband had to finish the job because they never called us back.

24/7 Electric Electrician
Earlier today (7-31-2015), 24/7 Electric & Plumbing workers finished installing our new whirlpool bathtub.

If you by chance are having nearly as much difficulty as I did locating a reliable, quality contractor to do some work around your home, you might want to consider my experience with this company. Here it is, in a nutshell:
       1. Out of ten different contractors that I contacted about this job, only 24/7 E&P managed to reply the same day I called them. Most of my calls to other prospective contractors were never answered at all.
       2. They offered quick turnaround on appointments for in-home estimates, and arrived for those appointments precisely when they said they would.
       3. I can't claim that 24/7 E&P's estimates for the work were competitive because none of their competitors bothered to provide me with an estimate. But I will say this: the estimate for the electrical work seemed very reasonable and I was ultimately charged that exact amount. Meanwhile, the estimate for the plumbing work surprised me a bit at how high it was...but what I didn't catch when the fellow doing the estimate said it to me was that the number he provided me was a worst case scenario. As it turned out, the charge for the plumbing work was almost exactly one-half of what the estimate was.
       4. I received two different appointments from 24/7 E&P - one for electrical work, one for the plumbing. Both crews arrived on time, worked non-stop and did what appears to me at this early point absolutely outstanding work. At job's end, I was given a business card with the main installer's personal work phone and told to call him if and when I encountered any sort of problem with the work.

There. That's it.

I'm not a particularly easy person to impress, but 24/7 E&P did just that. If my experience seeking remodeling help was typical, it appears that the conventional wisdom about contractors sometimes lacking strong communication skills and often being a bit on the unreliable side is very well founded. But the work 24/7 E&P did for me demonstrated that they are cut from entirely different cloth, and I feel very comfortable giving them an exceptionally strong recommendation.

Wilderness Electric Electrician
The people of Wilderness Electric are friendly, professional and highly capable. Rick was more than willing to offer advice via email before sending someone to the house. Kellie was fantastic and helpful on the phone to schedule my appointment and with my follow up emails. Oreo is, as he is now referred to in my house, Oreo the Electrical God the holy grail of electricians. Oreo called to let me know he was on his way, arrived shortly thereafter, took 5 minutes to diagnose my issue and a short while later my issue was fixed. Oreo is knowledgeable and immediately instills confidence. His infectious and pleasant nature also are a huge plus in a service person. He is, in short the total package. If you ever need any electrical work done, don't bother calling any other number. Wilderness Electric will not disappoint. I cannot say enough good about this business. Thank you Oreo and Wilderness Electric you have made a life long customer in me and I will, without hesitation, share my story with all!

David Fries Electrical Services Electrician
David is a mensch, and a careful, efficient and effective electrician.  He responded to a sunny Sunday afternoon voicemail of distress in under 15 minutes and was at our location 15 minutes later.  He diagnosed our issue carefully and after assuring himself that the fix wouldn't cause other problems, got the job done and the power running again.

Northstar Electrical Electrician
Rob and his team have done two jobs for us -- our family room and most recently our dining room -- and the easiest thing to say is they are amazing! From planning through to execution, everything is done with an eye towards a really satisfying outcome for the homeowners. Rob spent a lot of time helping us decide the right lighting to use, was fair and flexible in his estimates, and the work done by the team was super quality. Everything was completed quickly, cleanly, and I felt secure in knowing it was done right. Highly recommended!

Obot Electric Electrician
Justin came to help put in new lighting fixtures we bought. We had a couple canned lights that needed to be updated, as well as a light switch that led to an outlet that was broken. He fixed both! He was fast, efficient, and incredibly nice! If we ever need an electrician in the future he will be my first call! :)

Wickman Electric Electrician
As a note, this is an unsolicited review. I have had companies offer discounts, etc for Yelp reviews and facebook posts... but that is not the case with Wickman. I only mention this because I'm sometimes wary of businesses with 100% 5-star ratings... but in this case, Brian and his team deserve every 5-Star rating they get.

Wickman Electric installed an 80A subpanel in my garage, so I could run 220v circuits to some heavy machinery. This was no small task, as there iss considerable distance from the power hookup to the garage (think opposite corners of a cube, if the cube was a two story house). Brian and Jared were creative problem solvers and walked through options. They developed a more efficient and less invasive method of getting power to the garage than two other companies that looked at the problem. Easy decision.

These guys are punctual, professional, and courteous. Little things like removing shoes without being asked... and double checking where I wanted outlets and panels installed. All around great experience.

Thanks Brian!

Galaxy Electric & Solar Electrician
Power went out at my apartment after a short buzzing sound and half of my place lost power, including my heater. It was late on Sunday, so I was thinking to get someone first thing Monday morning.
I called couple of different electricians and couldn't get  anyone to come in till a week or two.
Then I called Galaxy Electric and Solar.
They were also super booked, but they found the time to come and check what was wrong at my place. They were able to fix it the very same day in a record time. I was absolutely blown away with their professionalism, willingness to help and ability to do a great job in a quick, effective and clean way. Needless to say, they were lifesavers, thank you Galaxy Electric!
I would absolutely  recommend their services and if needed will use in the future.
Exceptional service. 5

Sparks Electric and Service Electrician
We heartily refer Jonathan with Sparks Electric. He was on time and completed multiple tasks quickly. We found there was a hot wire in our attic, a tripped circuit in the kitchen, installed five new smoke detectors (two in vaulted ceilings), one closet on/off sensor and a new doorbell.  He was well prepared and his price was very fair.

Mr. Electric of Greater Seattle Electrician
Out of several electricians I reached out to, Mr Electric returned my call promptly and accommodated my request to come out the same day- actually they made it in less than an hour.
Communication was very good. The technician was polite and knowledgeable.
The reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is that I think I may have been overcharged, based on zip code adjusted installation cost estimators. I guess that promptness has its price, and they waived the diagnostics fee, so I still recommend them.

Parker Electric Electrician
I asked for an estimate multiple times which the owner promised but did not deliver. Instead I sent the owner a list that was a summary of the items we discussed which he had estimated 2-3 days to complete. After insisting on the cost before the project started, I received a rate in a text message which I multiplied by time estimate to come up with a cost.

After 2 days of work by two electricians sent by the owner, I received an invoice equivalent to cost of the entire project. At this point the lights were blinking and could only be shut off at the breaker, the fan was not working properly, and most of the work was still incomplete. I called the owner to ask why he was billing for the entire project. He said you can just pay it - we will get it done. When I said I shouldn't have to pay for the entire project before the work is complete and explained the problems so far, he said it's ok just pay part of it.

This led me to believe my understanding of the cost to complete the project and the rate was correct. I paid my estimated time they were at my house and thought the balance would be for the rest of the project. Instead, I got more invoices, the work wasn't getting done, and eventually needed to be fixed by other people.

Before hiring someone else, I requested an estimate for the remaining work and clarification as to how subsequent invoices were calculated got no response. I asked the owner in email if he could come on site to help finish up the project and got no response. After finding even more problems in my house (cut wires hid in the wall mentioned below) I asked the owner to call me multiple times and instead got numerous text messages. He promised to call me but never did.

Finally, I sent him a letter explaining the problems, sent a check I thought was fair, and hired someone else to finish the work. He refused to cash the check and put a lien on my house.

I hired two different electrical companies and below are the problems they found with the work.

Line voltage electricians:

* Unable to locate a permit in the city's online records.

* Found the dimmer at Living Room was the incorrect type which caused the lights to not work properly and at times not work at all. Replaced Dimmer and tested.

* Found the Electric Hot Water Heater Circuit was on a 20-Amp Circuit Breaker, code requires this to be on a 30 amp breaker to provide sufficient power. [TR: Electricians on site from Parker Electric told me on site the breaker did not need to be upgraded. The owner sent me a quote to upgrade the breaker after I hired someone else.]

* Found incorrect supply voltage at fan. Fan was supplied with 240v which caused the fan to fail. We re-wired fan for correct voltage of 120v and replaced fan.

* Found existing wiring to be fed from 15-Amp Lighting Circuit. Code requires a dedicated 20-Amp Circuit for Bathroom Receptacles. Corrected and tested.

* In addition, they completed all the items from a list I sent to the owner of Parker Electric after he came to my house to document what we discussed, which he said would take 2-3 days and was not anywhere near finished in that time frame and most of what was had to be re-done.

These are the items documented by the low voltage electricians:

* Her exhaust fan for her rack was installed backwards.

* The new DSL line was terminated different on both sides so there is no way it could work.

* And I found spliced speaker wire hiding behind a 2 x 4.

* In addition to the above three items, the subsequent electricians quickly installed the boxes with banana plugs in the wall as I originally requested and never got from Parker Electric (in fact, I gave up after so many attempts and agreed to something I didn't want just to try to get things working). The new electricians got the stereo equipment working in less than one day the way I wanted, which Parker Electric didn't have completed after coming to my house four times.

I am very happy with the work done by the subsequent electricians.
