We highly recommend Merv Electric. We had them work with us on lighting solutions for our entire first floor. Scheduling was very prompt (they were able to come out for a bid within a couple days of calling and then were available for the project in a couple weeks of our accepting the bid). The bid was competitive and very fair and included all aspects of the project including some molding work, which is not traditionally done by electricians. Overall they were very professional, prompt, and exhibited high quality work. Five stars and would recommend for sure.

After buying our first home, we needed to have some electrical work done. Jesse, the owner, was prompt in returning my emails and scheduling an appointment. Alex and Damien arrived on time for our appointment, quickly completed the work, and then provided us with options and a thorough explanation of some additional work that needed to be completed so we could have a new water heater installed safely. They answered all of my questions and were great to work with. They will be our go to electricians!

Kemly replaced two electrical panels, added a car charger outlet, and reactivated several dead outlets in our 35 year old home.  The proposal was complete and the work was done with no change orders.  I felt the estimate was about right.  Kemly also worked to help us save a $2,300 Seattle City Light power shut-off fee. That took an extra trip to the house.  That effort was really appreciated.  

The electricans on the job were personable, knowledgeable and efficient.  The Kemly back office support with permits and job coordination was excellent.

One thing I appreciated on this project was that Kemly completed the work in a short period of time, from start through the final inspection.  That's a sign of a well-organized company.

This is the second job Kemly has done for us.  They are a very good, honest company and we'll use them again without hesitation.

The very day my horrible contractors finally declared my endless, frustrating and poorly done remodel complete and packed up their tools and left, an entire circuit blew out and 7 outlets stopped working.

Frustrated and angry, I found the Electric Company of Seattle online and called to have them look at it.  What a difference.

Stephen answered the phone himself, heard my issue, and was at my house w/in 90 minutes.  He diagnosed and repaired the issue in about 20 minutes and charged me a completely reasonable minimum fee.   He was professional, capable, quick and competent.  What more can you ask for?

I have learned over the years that electricity was something best left to the experts, Seth was my first call--and my only call. I had planned to get bids from several electricians, but once I talked to  Seth at SMC Electric, I stopped searching. Not only was he prompt, honest, and very courteous, he was also extremely professional. Seth was very upfront with project costs and time, and had everything done well ahead of what was promised. Shawn was fantastic and I'd highly recommend him. From start to finish, he was a prompt and patient communicator, which can't be said for most contractors. He quickly returned my call, found time for a comprehensive estimate and offered a competitive quote to upgrade my service, and replace my panel, install a car charger, and a many more small tasks.

During the project, he was efficient while taking time to answer all my questions and explain everything in layman's terms. He was always super considerate to do everything the right way, even if it wasn't the fastest way.

All in all, Shawn was great.

Our basement bathroom lost all power - not good - at the same time my neighbor's were having electrical work done.  The husband walked over and asked the electrician if he could stop by and take a look.  Not only did he make time for us, he found the broken connection, fixed it and was out the door in under an hour.  Really nice guy, fast, honest and affordable work.  What more could you want??

I was looking for a professional, no hassle, honest local electrician and after reaching out to half a dozen local businesses John responded the quickest and provided the best quote.  All other quotes were way out of range for the install and some required an initial visit - even though I provided photos, location and other specific details.

The job was to install a 50amp receptacle panel box Nema 14-450R 125/250V that I had purchased.  It was not a big job, and all that was required was an additional breaker, while the box was to be installed right next to the breaker box about 3 feet away.  All I did was provide photos and John was able to come out the very next day without an initial visit.

He was courteous, knowledgeable, professional, quick and above all honest.  The install took about an hour and I now have a trusted local go to electrician.  In short, speed, value, and workmanship rocked.

If you have a residential electrical job, you have to consider going with John and Sparks Electric!

I am not easily impressed, but this company is outstanding! I requested bids to install an EV charger from 4 different companies, 1 of whom was a no-show. Brent from Washington Energy was by far the most thorough and professional and gave me complete confidence that they were the right company to hire. Daniel and Cornelius did the install and they were on time, polite, professional, efficient and finished earlier than estimated. They did a great job and the city inspector confirmed that they did an excellent job. I would absolutely hire this company again! The interactions I had with everyone in this company were above and beyond - I'm definitely impressed.

One word to summarize Solarside is Unorganized.

Working with Marv on our new construction project was a nightmare. Weeks behind schedule, showing up for only a couple hours at a time to work on our project, and leaving a massive mess for us to clean up every trip. We are still fixing stuff he did months after moving in. Save yourself the hassle and use a bigger more organized company for your larger projects. Saving money with Marv's low bid was not worth it and we regret using him.

I contacted the company and told them I needed some receptacles installed and a lockout installed for a dishwasher, in order to pass an electrical inspection for which I had pulled a permit. They did the work and then told me they would need to pull a permit themselves. I left a message asking them to call me before they pulled their own permit so we could discuss it, because their permit was redundant. They never called, pulled the permit and then charged me an extra fee for pulling the permit. I left two messages after the fact asking their boss to call me and explain why they had never called me back. He never responded to either of my messages. I highly recommend avoiding this company.

Timely response, courteous technician. But was quite expensive due mostly to out of business hours call.. Nevertheless all charges were quoted up front, so there were no surprises. Badly plugged toilet was fixed in less than 5 minutes. Altogether a good experience.
