Best Water Heater Repair in Seattle WA

Seatown Electric Plumbing Heating Air Electrician
Had Seatown out to bid a quick charge outlet addition to our garage for our EV. The bid was $2500.  We priced out the parts (2) at absolute max, $300, and that's twice what the parts can be bought for, by us but we wanted to be fair on the parts cost so went high. The permit they bid at $60 - $100.  They said the job would take 1.5 hours...so that's $1800-1900 and hour for labor. No thanks

Reign City Electric Electrician
Reign City did two jobs for us in the last 1-2 years. They've had fair pricing (we always seek multiple bids) and have been responsive and on-time. So far so good on the quality of the work-- I'm not an expert on electrician systems or home remodeling, but everything seems to have been done properly with no need for follow-up. Eugene has a good, concise way of explaining the work or providing context or suggestions when needed, without overwhelming you with information.

Eugene replaced an outlet that was damaged in a small electrical fire in my home. Earlier, Jose fixed an issue with our upstairs bedroom lights and ceiling fan, related to some improper wiring that was done before we owned the house.

Dickson Electric Electrician
I recently had Dickson add electrical outlets, hard-wired smoke detectors, and ethernet cabling in my house.

I've interacted with three people: Liz, Kurt, and Devin. All three of them have been fantastic. Kurt did the bid and graciously helped me think out some of the things I'd wanted. Liz did all the email back-and-forth. Devin (and his apprentices, Richard and Justin) did the on-site work.

Devin rocks (god, I hope I'm spelling his name right). That's just a good dude, right there. Everyone was professional, but Devin was a great person to have in the house. He was more than happy to explain things along the way and made sure to touch base with me anytime things weren't lining up exactly as I had requested, showing me what was going on and how he was going to mitigate it.

My three year-old came home from daycare after Devin finished on the last day and asked, Daaaad! Where's Devin? I want to see him!, then proceeded to get upset when I told her that he'd finished the work and gone home. She told me that she liked him and wanted to see him again. I agreed with her.

I already have more electrical work planned and will be giving them a call soon.

Eco Electric & Plumbing Electrician
Zach W. just came out to assess a possible garbage disposal installation on three different kitchens in our building (three-unit building) and it was a great experience.  Friendly, knowledgeable, professional... he even took the time to answer my dumb questions about neutral vs. hot wiring, and voltage step-ups.  I'm looking forward to working with him.

After Hours Services Electrician
Will just finished a 3rd plumbing job for us. Each job has been done exactly as needed and for a reasonable price. Will goes above and beyond great service to give fantastic service. It's hard to find reasonably priced plumbing services that are done so well. Actually, on the 2nd job, he fixed a problem that a previous, very expensive plumber had messed up. We'd hire Will again.

Hunt's Services Electrician
In December we had a slow drain issue with a shower and a toilet. Hunt's came in to check on it and used a scope which cost $300 not including tax. Their equipment had a crack and the technician couldn't really tell what the issue was. He said that the line seemed clear and went on his way.
It's been months and the issue came up again. We called Hunt's and they sent two techs. The guys were very casual and weren't that professional. I might say down right rude except when my husband came home, they suddenly turned nice and polite.
To diagnose the main tech flushed the toilet and said it looks like everything is fine. I told them no we have a draining issue. So I went upstairs and turned on the showers and flushed toilets. Sure enough, the drain issue appeared. The tech said, I don't know what to tell you. It looks fine. But If you want us to scope it's $300 is that what you want? I said, We have a drain issue. We need it fixed and if you need to scope it then yes.
He got the scope and was pretty curt as if he really didn't want to be there. He said there was a big break in the sewer line and it was under the house. He showed me the screen and I couldn't even really tell where the break was it was so blurry. He said they would have to dig the foundation but had a much more expensive solution that will not require digging. He said they would shoot epoxy through the line at the cost of $8600. We agreed to the price as we were in an emergency situation.

They came in the following day and dug out the area right outside of the house. The main tech said HE BROKE the line because it was made of electrical piping. I had to call my builder to confirm that its and older house and they might have broken and old pipe that attached to the septic.
The tech said to repair, they will have to dig through the house after all. He was very smug saying- I hope it's not under the kitchen cabinets. He said he didn't know exactly where the break was and that it was going to cost $1,000 to $1200 more than the original quote. I asked I thought digging was cheaper than the epoxy. He said, I really don't want to be jackhammering. That's not what we're here to do.
I called another plumbing company and this time a very professional gentleman said he would scope the line for $39 ($43.00 with tax) and will give me the videos so I can make a decision after. His equipment was so clear that I was able to see where the line break was. He showed me exactly what needed to be done to repair the issue was super professional and courteous. He came at a slightly lower price and I needed to make a decision which company to go with.
I called Hunts and told them that when we gave them our credit card, we had agreed to the epoxy solution but haven't gotten any updated scope of work after their tech broke the existing pipe. They directed me to the plumbing manager, Aaron, who was really nice. The issue was that they charged our credit card $4300.00 and couldn't ensure how quickly they could refund it if I cancelled the job.

I decided to follow through with Hunt's mainly because Aaron said he could match the price of the other company and that he was going to guarantee that the job would be done right. That was Friday March 19.

The job was to start today March 20. Aaron leaves me a message at 7 am saying that he had bad news. His crew called in sick and can't do the job. He'd try to get it done tomorrow. All the while we have been without proper plumbing and have been leaving the house to a family member's to use the bathroom shower etc. We've been washing dishes with a hose and laundry has piled up.

I'm leaving this negative review as a PSA to make people aware that Hunt's may not be the best option out there. They have proven to be overpriced, with older equipment, lackadaisical crew and worse yet supremely unreliable despite making assurances otherwise. They were quick to make charges on my credit card and iffy regarding the timeline of refunds.

I will update this review to recommend the company that we are going with once the job is done.

Black Hills Electrician
Every aspect of this company has been a great experience for me and my family. I'm a  busy exec and finding time is difficult, they were willing to meet my schedule. Everyone was courteous and respectful of our home.

The sale representative sat at our kitchen table and made us feel comfortable with the installation. The Installers were great, even fix our duct work that was incorrectly done by the builder Big Thanks. The electrician was very professional and friendly, we had a great conversation about the Navy, I'm a Veteran and appreciate that very much. The ladies in the office we very helpful explaining my permit paperwork.

The price beat the competitors by almost $1000. The complete package for our AC including tax was better than the intro price of the competitor before tax.

The paperwork for the followup inspection was completed and explained to me very clearly making my county permit inspect go smoothly done today.

I'm a fan and would HIGHLY recommend this company.

AWESOME JOB!!!

Had these guys put in 6 large windows and 2 sliders.  Since have learned that they did not flash or caulk anything.  Plus they are expensive.  I recommend you stay far away from this company.

A Advanced Septic & Construction Services Electrician
If I could give zero stars I would.  Came out and said everything was ok and we paid our bill for what they did.  Only to get a new proposal just before our house was to go on the market.  Terrible communication and felt like a scam.  I've heard others had the same complaint about this company.  I would never refer anyone to them.

Washington Energy Services Electrician
I do NOT recommend Washington Energy Services to anyone looking for a mini split heat pump install in Seattle.

What a headache. To cut a long story short, the HVAC contractors did a terrible install job (3 leaks in the line set, refrigerant lines were connected to the wrong head units) and it took FIVE follow up visits to identify and fix the problem. During this chaos, I got to meet 6 different HVAC guys- only one of them figured it out on the 4th visit.

Worst part is that they kept recharging the refrigerant while there were still leaks in the system; and all of it leaked into the atmosphere. R410A is a powerful greenhouse warming gas that takes decades to decay. I feel terrible..

During the 2 weeks it took to finally get it fixed, management never reached out to me, and the front office scheduling staff were not pleasant to work with. Like, we went with the most expensive bid and I would expect an apology for poor work.

Bottom line: Skip Washington Energy Services, their staff don't know what they're doing and they will end up doing installing wrong.

Resicon Heating and Air, Plumbing & Electrical Electrician
From start to finish great communication and quality products. Jason came out and bid the job, which wasn't easy, and worked with me of on options. Emailed a bid over quickly and Ames got on the schedule. Installers where very friendly, kind and experienced. We were delayed with electrical but nothing perfect for such high demand. Family is so very happy to have heat and AC and I am thrilled to not have a crazy electric bill anymore!
