Best Lighting Installation in Seattle WA
My previous electrician moved away unceremoniously and without providing any notes or means of getting in touch, which left me in quite a tight spot. All of my drywall was in, and he'd done extensive re-wiring for my kitchen/living room remodel in my 1970s condo - including wiring up a new kitchen island, moving my oven, and installing 17 new ceiling lights across 6 new switches.
I was desperate, and fortunately found Red Line Electric to pick up the final electrical work. They completed my project to my total satisfaction and with incredible speed. I wholeheartedly recommend them for any residential project I can imagine.
Jessica handled my scheduling, was extremely friendly and responsive, and at every turn swiftly worked to accommodate my timeline as best as possible.
Igor was my electrician, and he was clearly experienced and knowledgeable. For a fair initial charge, he spent two hours investigating the previous electrician's work and made extensive notes of the new state of my home's wiring. He also discovered a couple of small mistakes the previous electrician made, and corrected them - for example, a work box was put too far back and had to be cut out of drywall. He then provided me a list of remaining work based on the original goals of my project, as well as an estimate to complete them.
Today is two weeks after that first visit. Igor came on two separate afternoons, and totally finished my project. There were a couple of surprises, and for each Igor patiently explained to me, offered me options, and gave his recommendation. I'm tickled with the work he did - the few cuts into my ceiling/walls were done neatly so my painter can patch them, and he left the worksite cleaner than he found it.

I pinged Merv via their webform at 9:55pm last night regarding a GFI that kept tripping taking out numerous outlets. less than 10min later I got a text saying one of their schedulers would contact me shortly. At 8am I was pinged again asking if today at 4pm worked (it did) and has an estimate for parts & labor (very reasonable - cheaper than most just to come out).
Electrician arrived (Pasha?) slightly early, masked and gloved. He replaced the GFI, but it kept tripping. 45min of detective work later, he identified the faulty outlet outside (original from 1987, so not weather resistant resulting in oxidation of the outlet) and replaced that too with an up-to-code outlet. for 1hr of work, and replacing 2 outlets (one with weather shield too), the overall cost was quite reasonable. And all that given next day service.
Well done Merv Electric! would definitely recommend.

Darrell quickly identified the root cause of the problem, explained it to us in simple words, offered a couple of solutions and time, price estimates. Great professional service.

We contracted with Vets Electric to do a number of odd electrical installations. A couple of the requests were difficult: for example, installing a sconce that sits above a staircase to the basement and a large circular LED fixture in the dining room. They completed all the work quickly and efficiently. Everything looks great and they finished in record time. Great job, guys!

This company is truly the best!! If you want to save $$money$$ Call this guy! He literally saved us thousands of dollars, a fridge & freezer full of food on a 90° day, as well as our weekend!! And here's why: We had a major power surge in our area friday evening, that damaged 100s of people's homes. We called around 50 different companies. Most were closed, the ones that weren't were saying it would cost tons extra for after hours service and that it would take a few days to fix anyways for parts since it was the weekend and that they would have to replace the whole electric panel box because our was an old bad brand Zinsco.. So I gave our info to countless operators saying they would have their tech call us to let us know when they could come. Hours later still no call backs. But as our freezer began to melt in a 90° evening and my cell phone with only 4% power, I found the Electric Company of Seattle and spoke to the owner Steven. He answered the phone, none of that pressing numbers game or listening to smooth jazz & ads...But a real human, who cared about me & my situation, and best of all saving me money & time!! He was kind and easy to understand, and threw in some much needed humor after this stressful situation.. Anyways he fixed my issue over the phone, which no one else even offered to do! He gave me a few easy to follow instructions after asking some questions to diagnose my issue. Btw I'm a 30yr old house wife who has no clue about anything electrical. Calling Electric Company of Seattle cost me nothing and every other company quoted me 2k+ !! Steven will be the only one I will call in the future and refer all friends/family/neighbors to for electrical needs!! Thanks again Steven, wish more companies had the honesty & care that you take the time to have!!

Wyatt and his journeyman, TJ are both professional and personable. Wyatt is extremely patient when i was at the inquiring phase with the zillion questions i have about rewiring the home. On the day of work, they are both efficient and resourceful in achieving what i ask for, with minimal drywall repair work. They also left the worksite cleaner than it was originally after completing the work!
I concur with the Yelp opinions here and find them trustworthy and easy to talk to. Most importantly, they are willing to explain and help. They are definitely my go-to-electrician from now on

Seth was great. Reliable and reasonable. Sometimes that's hard to find in an electrician. Would highly recommend.

When we had an unexpected urgent electrical situation arise, BJ from Linder Electric found a way, to come examine the situation, identify what the issues were & fix it ---- even though it was his day off!!!
BJ did excellent work and is a good communicator, keeping me informed throughout the process. He is very knowledgable & cost effective. I feel confident in BJ's work, and appreciate his & Linder Electric's integrity.

This was for hooking up a 240V 50A hot tub. Our electrician Slava was super friendly, worked hard and was flexible to make some needed changes from the original plan. Price was fair and came in exactly as estimated and Janette in the back-office was easy to work with for scheduling and made stuff happen on short notice - thank you!
Work turned out great, everything to code, clean and neat - always a good sign for an electrician. Slava tested everything, was Covid-compliant and gave us the leftover cable which will come in handy for projects. A+ in my book.

I got a response to my request for a quote within a few hours of me asking for it. Shawn did a full electrical service swap for me. He did amazing work and was very reliable.
I would recommend him to anyone.

I was told that my fan installation would be $75 per hour and would take about 4-6 hours. The person quoting left off the fact that it was $75 per man hours and that it would take a team of 2 to complete the job in 4 to 6 hours. Since this was a two person job, the total charged per hour was actually $150 per hour. This is pretty misleading when deciding on having the work done and leads to a bit of shock when the invoice is presented.
On a positive note, the staff performed the work as stated, they completed the job within 4 hours, and were very courteous so I cannot complain about the workmanship.

Brian installed a 125 amp feeder panel in my new detached garage. He worked fast for a great price. Best of all was his communication leading up to the job: he emailed me his bid in only 4 hours and answered all of my questions over email promptly. When I rent this house out, I will be calling Wickman Electric because I can trust Brian to keep me informed of what's going on.

Since 2011, Pete (owner) and Galaxy Electric has provided dependable and expert electrical work for me at my home and residential rental property. You will get timely responses and follow up. I trust Pete to conduct thorough trouble shooting, to give me reasonable suggestions for next steps, and to carry out the work professionally. Jody Clovis, Seattle (2020)

We heartily refer Jonathan with Sparks Electric. He was on time and completed multiple tasks quickly. We found there was a hot wire in our attic, a tripped circuit in the kitchen, installed five new smoke detectors (two in vaulted ceilings), one closet on/off sensor and a new doorbell. He was well prepared and his price was very fair.

Terrible communicators, from the front desk to the technician:
-They didn't tell me work would require an inspection, then when I scheduled the inspection and took off work for it, I called to verify that the city was coming the day I had chosen and they said oh, we weren't able to get that day, can you do another day?. Would have been nice of them to tell me this BEFORE the day we had agreed on.
-They told me a heater they were trying to sell me didn't get hot to the touch and only when I looked up reviews of it on Amazon to see that it did indeed get hot, did they say oh yeah, it does get warm.
Terrible customer service:
-Barely attempted to clean up after the work. I had drywall dust coating my garage and each place they went into the wall and wire pieces and insulation all around each area of installation.
-Left my toilet filthy with no toilet paper.
No accountability. Do NOT do it.
