Best A/C Repair in San Francisco CA
The service was everything we hoped. German was efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. He even went so far as to remove his work boots before entering our apartment without having to ask him to. This was appreciated since we just had new floors installed. We will certainly call them in the future when necessary.

OMG, I thought he was amazing. He has a great talent for troubleshooting and explaining to someone who doesn't know anything about electrical work what is going on and what my various options are. He figured things out so fast (some which were so simple I could kick myself). Example, our motion sensor outside is not working because water leaked in it. Someone else had told me it's the wiring that was bad. I am very glad to have found him on yelp!

I only write reviews when either I'm very pleased or very disappointed in a service, and Jothi's crew definitely elicited the former response. I inherited my childhood home a few months ago, and have gone through seven stages of hell trying to wrest the house from the trustee lawyer, who nearly cleaned out my sister and I due to our father's trust being unfunded, and then getting the tenants out, only to find the place completely trashed. When I finally got the keys to the house and starting hiring contractors to help me fix the place up for sale, I was expecting more of the same. Fortunately, the sun started rising on me, and I found an amazing landscaper to clear out the weeds and dead plants, and a painting/contracting crew that did top-notch work repairing and painting the exterior (they're due back for the inside next week), both for very reasonable prices.
However, neither could compare to Redwood Electric. I contacted Jothi last week after reading his company's yelp reviews, told him about the house, after which he brought his crew out for two solid days. The house is a 1940s stucco with a combination of knob & tube and armored cable circuits, a system that was pretty shaky throughout. We needed GFCI's in the kitchen and one of the bathrooms, basic upgrades throughout the house, additional circuits, several new outlets, and a basic re-working of any areas that were unsafe and/or not up to code, as we would be bringing in an inspector prior to putting the house up for sale. Jothi and his apprentices, John and Maya, came out and went to work. They were a cohesive team, working quietly and in complete communication with each other throughout. My sweetie and I were onsite doing other work, and when something came up, Jothi would explain our options and implement our decisions. I watched John flawlessly run cable through the garage, and saw Maya using a level to make sure the outlets were in perfectly straight, so that the plates I would later put in wouldn't be askew. They checked the entire system over several times, to make sure everything was working correctly. And visually, their work was impeccable.
Their cost: I'm not too familiar with electrical work, but I've been a construction inspector by trade, and am currently putting plans and estimates together for highway projects, so I can at least guess final costs for projects. In going over the work with my sweetie, who is very familiar with electrical systems, I estimated that the work would total around $2000, and possibly higher. When the crew finished last Monday, Jothi's bill came to less than two-thirds of that [I should note also that Redwood Electric is out of Walnut Creek and my house is in Oakland, so the commute time is not short for them]. Also, after they left, I kept working until an hour after the sun set, going from one room to another and turning lights on and off as I picked up materials and cleaning products (I wasn't consciously checking the outlets - just closing up for the night). I was surprised by how well the lights worked, and by the solid click of the outlets, which had previously felt loose.
Bottom line - I can't recommend Jothi and his crew enough. I have over half a dozen lighting fixtures left to purchase and install, so I'll be giving Jothi a call again within the month.
Side note: over half of his work is with a commercial developer, so he can do anything!

Don't typically write reviews but John deserves one. Knew I was in good hands when I called him at 11 PM [to leave a voice mail for next day service] and he picked up immediately. He's extremely accommodating and will work with your work schedule [we had him drop by at 6.30 PM whereas most contractors prefer that whole 9-5 route].
Diagnosed the problem on the spot. Next day bought the replacement part [first called me to approve the pricing] and went straight over that same day once we were home to fix the issue.
Top notch service. Definitely my go-to on all electrical issues moving forward!

Professional, efficient, friendly, I highly recommend Valencia Electric. I recently hired Natalie to assist with troubleshooting a GFCI outlet problem and she solved the issue quickly. I plan to hire Valencia Electric in the future.

I had Estiben do a few electrical jobs, and he was fantastic. Upfront on pricing, and knowledgeable as an electrician. He not only fixed them but told me what was wrong. I will not hesitate to use him again. Very satisfied, and as one of the fixes was to a furnace disconnect outlet that controlled my AC, also very cool now. Great job Estiben!

I can't express how helpful Lucas was today. The day before thanksgiving Lucas calls me on FaceTime and helps me solve the electric issue I was having. This could have been a disaster and thanks to Fitch Electric (the only company that picked up my calls) my family and I can enjoy our holiday.
Thank you! Highly recommend!

Tough experience when we were left hanging without heat in January on a 33 degree night with an infant and two sick toddlers in our house.
We scheduled an appointment to resolve an issue with out heating system where the heater was working, but would often have long delays before kicking on even when dropping a few degrees below the set-temperature. (but it was working)
A diagnostic tech came and found what he thought was the issue and made the repair for $150 dollars (~$70 for making the call, and ~$80 for the labor) and the heater ran and all seemed fine.
The afternoon progressed and as the night cooled down I noticed the heater wasn't working. So I called back and explained what had happened and their customer service said that since I was not a member (membership entails paying ~$200/year to get two maintenance checks and lower prices than what they charge non-members) that I was not entitled to have someone come to restore my heat.
I tried to explain that I have small children and that it was going to be a cold night and that our heater was at least functional before the tech arrived, but I was told that I had to wait to see if the local office would call me back. I called back 3 times and during that time was not even able to confirm at what time a tech would arrive the next morning.
My house temperature dropped into the 50's overnight and even though we had space heaters in our children's rooms, they ran all night continuously were hardly able keep the rooms warm.
When the tech arrived the next morning it turned out that the door to the system wasn't closed tightly which was causing a safety switch to prevent the system from running - it was a quick fix.
In my opinion if you leave a customer worse off than when you found them it should be a priority to make it right. If I was a bachelor I would have just bundled up and slept it off, but I can't bury a 7 month old baby in blankets to keep her warm.
- This is a company of over 200 employees, so remedying the honest mistake at my residence would not have been an undue hardship
- They will upsell you on their membership plan every time they visit
- Their more junior techs run the inspections of your system
- There are also techs who only do diagnostic work which is only focused on the issue you call for and will not do a system inspection
- There are also techs that only do install
- While there is a 24/7 number to call, it won't be in the same place as the local dispatch office and apparently they can't help you with specifics or confirm an appointment already made nor connect you with the local office
- The customer service folks don't have the authority or discretion to help you in nuanced situations if you aren't paying $200/year for good service
All of that aside - their Techs are in fact in my experience (they've been here already 4 times in less than two years) good guys who want to help.

Needed a bathroom ceiling fan/heater replaced. They sent out Nico to take some measurements, spoke to Tim the owner for some help on ordering the right replacement unit, and they showed up on time and did a great job. Their rates are very reasonable and the quality of the work was excellent. Nice job Jade! Would definitely use again. Highly recommended

Always professional and reliable. I recently had a problem with some recessed LED lights burning out sooner then expected, Reyff replaced them shortly after I contacted them. This is reassuring as I live alone and am electrically impaired!

We've hired Wong's Electric for a number of projects around the house, including: Installing 220 for Central Air, adding outdoor outlets, putting in motion lights, outlets, fixtures and updating wiring for a slide-ins stove. Since we live in an old house and have added an addition, Wong's Electric has helped us with updates to the old, including fishing line through finished walls, and the new, including all the wiring for our addition. All the work they've done is seamless and very reasonably priced. I honestly can't imagine how anyone--at any price--could do a better job than they have.

The thought of having to hire a tradesman is singularly terrifying -- quality, cost, and reliability are always big unknowns. Not so with Mike and Veterans Electric.
Mike actually answered the phone when I called, itself a big plus, and managed to get himself out to address my bathroom lighting issue the very next day. He was a consummate professional from the time he showed up. Absolutely no question Mike knows his stuff -- he's a veteran electrician who diagnosed my problem very quickly. But what impressed me most about Mike was how he dealt with the problem. On one hand, it was a straightforward fix -- running a new neutral to a dead outlet -- but doing so required running a new wire from one room, over our hallway, and into another room, requiring the opening up of drywall in 5 different places; clearly, not an insubstantial job Rather than diagnose the problem and tell me good luck, or give me a date two months from then when he could come back, Mike literally left my house, got his truck, and came back with all of the tools he needed to do his job. He spent several hours cutting drywall and rerunning the wire, and did not leave until the lights were back on in the bathroom.
I was clearly desperate, and Mike could have quite easily gouged me for 3 to 4 times what I ultimately paid. He didn't, and in fact, I've paid more to replace my tires.
So, in the end, absolutely nothing but praise for Mike and Veteran's electric. Knowledgeable, honest, fair and reliable, unquestionably reasonable prices, and a great guy to boot. I recommend him without hesitation, and will certainly be calling him again the next time something goes wrong with my electrics. (and it inevitably will). Thanks Mike!!

Valery and his crew are the best you can have. We did a very large remodel and addition to our home and Valery was always organized, detailed and so easy to work with. All of his guys who work with him were top notch as well. He had excellent opinions and suggestions. Valery was more than fair with us always. I would only use Valery and his team to do any electrical work. Thank you Valery for making such a big project easy, simple and fun! I am glad to know Valery and his team!
