I had Alan come out to take a look at a house I am renovating. I feel like he was honest about what I needed done and was very informative. He was definitely one of my favorite tradesmen I have met with during this renovation process and he was extremely helpful. I was not ready to decide what exactly I wanted done, but he told me my options and gave me ballpark estimates, which is what I was needing at the time. I have not had my work done yet, but I had a great experience with Hayes Electric.

Did a fantastic job hooking up a hot tub for us. We ended up having a bad 240 line and he traced and repaired it. Even called to follow up and check and make sure the hot tub was heating well, Looking forward to having him do our future electrical needs.

The men in the stores are helpful. Women just sit there watching the line of customers and talked about personal things on their cell phone. I guess that's employee owned business. They do have more things that Lowes and HD. I can make it there once every 6 months because their hours are 8 to 5 which is the time that I get off work. I understand that they value employee's home life as important as money, but there are options like rotating shifts, online ordering, deliver to homes, I am sure there are some of their employees want/needed that kind of extra cash. Their business guidelines are out of date.

Called them to install my Thermostats, they couldn't do it. Had them install 3 GCFI Outlets (which I could have done myself, but I thought, What the hell, he's already here.) instead.
Charge: $275
Taking payment over the phone involves writing my information on a piece of paper.
Bottom line: would not recommend, won't be going back if at all possible.

Called and scheduled an appointment but they never showed. Would have been fine if they would have called me back to reschedule.

Don't confuse Mimi Hartman of Absolute Electrical Contractor from the absolute electric that has been around for years. They are closed now. She bid my job. Had me go pay for permits, then never showed up to the job site knowing I was almost over my time limit. I fired her after begging her to come to work for a month and hired another guy who did my total whole house rewire job. which meant paying for permits twice. I asked how to get a refund and they said the check was mailed directly to her and she told me I was beat. Horrible contractor. I not only had to pay the permit twice, but was extended beyond my time and had a whole mess of other permits to pay before it could be finished out too. Horrible electrician.
