I'm rating a six, because thermal shield was very professional and timely and they did what they said they would do.
Nick, the owner, is very professional. When I called, he gave me a rundown of various prices that would likely be estimated for adding insulation to our attic, Depending on the amount of insulation I wanted. He then provided a written estimate via email.
What I really appreciated, as I was considering his business along with other insulation companies, he followed up with a call in about a week and asked if I was interested in using his company. It was not a high-pressure call, rather a follow through which benefited him as well as me. It benefited him because I decided to use his company, since he was willing to follow up and adjust the estimate according to my needs.
Nick was flexible, because he offered a special where in he was going to put some insulation over the attic, but I didn't need that. So he just offered to put that insulation in with the rest of the attic insulation give me about 1 inch more. So all in all I have about 40 inches of insulation.
We haven't spent a summer in our home yet, and I know the air-conditioning did cycle prior to adding insulation, but I'm assuming AC will run more efficiently, having done this before in another house.
Bottom line, I just like a business that's willing to follow up and has a professional aire about it. At least they acted like they wanted your business. I recommend thermal shield, and would use them again if I need any additional services.
