The owner of Freeman Finest Construction, Earl Freeman, is one of the honest, kindest and hardest working man I know in the construction business.
On June 28th, 2018 I woke up at 4:30am to a busted pipe in the wall and a flooded kitchen. Long story short, the kitchen was deemed a total loss. After almost a month of fighting with the insurance and trying to find a contractor that was willing to help me, the last phone call I made was to Earl. From the moment he answered the phone to the moment we hung up I knew he was the contractor that was going to fix my kitchen. He was straight up with me, answered all my questions without speaking down to me, and took his time to explain what was going on and what was needed to do. He said the money that insurance stated wouldn't even pay for the labor costs, for anybody no matter who I had hired, and he was right. He said that if allowed, he will fight for more money and promise me would do an excellent job. I hired him on the spot and he didn't disappoint. When I told him what I always wanted for my kitchen he listen and then kindly stated that as amazing as it sounds my kitchen is a little to small for what I would like, but, now that he has an idea of what I want and what I like he will take it from here, and boy did he, my kitchen turned out beautiful. He began work on a Thursday and was done that following Friday. He fought the insurance and won to get me more than enough money to fix my kitchen. I always knew that I wanted to redo my kitchen but never did I dream that it would turn out so beautiful. To top everything off, I got really sick during the construction, due to the stress of everything I had been through the past month, and because of that I had to stay home that week. Earl and his crew were so patient and kind to me during this time, for I know it wasn't easy for them to be in a home working when the owner is home sick.
If you need a honest, hard working contractor, Earl and his staff are the ones to hire. You will never find anyone who cares for his customers and does such amazing work as Earl and his staff.

Rich was here today for several hours and he was able to do everything on my list. He is talented, a great problem solver and is kind and friendly. He's also extremely dog friendly. I highly recommend him!

Stephan was hired to do all of our plumbing and septic on our new build. He came across as very knowledgable and friendly. To start. But over time (and after most payments were made), he stopped answering our calls (voicemail was full), did not respond to text messages and when we did reach him, lied about when he would come to finish. He eventually showed up without letting us know he was coming, on a sunday morning and demanded final payment. When I told him we had to hire someone else to finish and/or fix his mistakes, he threatened to put a lien on our home. This is on a project he made a lot of money from, and was not only incomplete, but we had to correct several large mistakes (including making 6 holes in our finished drywall to find the problems). Whatever you do, do not be fooled by his charm. We are STILL finding things that were done wrong and still hiring other plumbers to fix these mistakes.

I called for a quote at 9:04 am. I spoke to the owner, Richard, who gave me a quote for $8,500 for re-piping. I explained that the house was in the purchase process and would not be available to work till mid January. After talking to my husband, I called Richard back at 3:02 pm and asked for a written quote in order to proceed with the work. I reminded him of the earlier conversation and suddenly the price was $10,500. He said I lost out on the discount cause it was only valid if I have the work done this week. I'm fairly certain he would have found a way to claim the extra $2K regardless of when the work was done. He kept saying I have to feed my family. Don't we all? Proceed with caution!!!

Do Not hire these guys. They never finished the job and left their garbage on my patio. I cannot believe the lack of integrity they displayed. Save your money for a professional that will do the job right the first time.

What a waste of $700. I was a fan for years, but I'm so disappointed now. After they didn't show up 3 appointments in a row in November, they finally came out and charged a huge amount for what they now call a small fix. I had just left town long term when they fixed the furnace. I asked about the guarantee and by phone they said 1 year. I told them to go ahead since I was out of town and I trusted them. They replaced my programmable thermostat for a super cheap one that won't shut off. I only noticed now that I'm back here to see the work. The flame is on a full, high blast and the house is sweltering, it won't turn off. Tenants didn't notice during the winter but now it's been burning huge amounts of gas even though the thermostat has been off 2 months. Now Tony and Mike say it's only a 90-day guarantee for such a small fix which cost me $700. I'll have to pay weekend prices to have them fix their faulty work. I should have gone with the company my tenants found, the estimate was way lower. But I trusted Marathon and wanted them to do the work since I was out of town. They didn't stand by the warranty that the woman told me about on the phone and they will never have my business again.

After paying $850 last week to have my AC fixed and having this company come back out because it wasn't fixed correctly the first time I was called a cheap customer for disputing an additional $875 bill. The person I was talking to claimed to be the owner and was the person who told me I was a cheap customer and refused to give me his name. The owner told me if I wanted his name that I could drive down to get his name in person. This is not a company I would recommend. Please don't make the mistake I did and use this company.

My father used this business in Rio Rancho NM for years when Joe was the owner. He was flexible and my dad was happy with his work. Now Richard the son is the owner and I contacted him to do some work for my brother and sister-in-law. He remembered my father, so I thought he would be a good man, like his father. He agreed to check out the job and said he'd be by that afternoon. No show, no call. The next time I called him, he gave me a date when he would be by. Again, no show, no call. This happened one more time before I gave up. Why tell someone you're going to come check out your job, only to hold up your schedule and waste your time, when a plumbing emergency is holding you up? Steer clear of this business.
