Best Water Heater Repair in Wichita KS
I had an excellent experience with David of Bowers Plumbing.
I had a pipe break inside a wall, I called them at 8:30 and David showed up at 10:30, sooner than the dispatcher quoted!! David was very professional and had me fixed up in less than an hour! The total price was very reasonable. I'm calling them for a quote to replace all the galvanized pipe in the house.

Asked for estimate to install new dishwasher. Metro Appliance will do for $150 and big box are $250. These guys want at least $350!!! All the reviews say they're super reasonable and do a great job. Maybe for just little repairs? I said No Thanks!

My water heater went out a few weeks back and I was scrambling to find a company that could come out the same day. Wichita plumbing was the only one I found. They were quick and clean and most importantly very affordable. Best water heater install I've ever had done.

They were professional, reliable and affordable. They showed up on time, did the work quickly and didn't try to upsell me. There were some issues following up with the quote and getting the appointment set up, but I think that might have been a temporary issue. Overall, I would hire them again.

They showed up and performed the work efficiently. The bill was about half the original estimate due to completing it quickly

Be careful!! A Good Plumber charged me $250 for cleaning roots out of my sewer pipes, then he came back a few days later when my pipe was still clogged and said he was going to charge me another $250+ because he wrote on the earlier receipt no warranty. I sent him away and called a different plumber.

Called Ben Franklin of Wichita about 8pm one night after noticing a mainline sewer backup. I was informed that after hours calls were $129 for just coming out which I was OK with because they were the only plumber who could have a tech come out the same night. It took the technician about an hour and a half and several phone calls to arrive; apparently he couldn't find the house but did make it eventually. Once he arrived we deduced that the source of the clog was somewhere in the main line inside the house, as the cleanout in the yard appeared to flow OK. The technician looked around for about 5 minutes and then said he could not perform a cleanout because the cast iron pipes were old and he was afraid to remove the cleanout caps because they were probably frozen in place. He said the only option was for me to spend over $2,500 and wait about maybe a few days to a week for them to come back out and cut out a small section of old pipe, clean the line out and replace with PVC. Literally $2,500 for a 4' section of easily accessible pipe and a few hours labor tops. They did offer a discount of a few hundred on this job if I joined some silly $99 a year club.
The worst part was after spending 30 minutes at my house, 20 of which was simply typing up this ridiculous quote, no time was spent performing actual plumbing work and they never touched any tools, they have the audacity to charge an additional $168 on top of the $129 because they have also have a 1-hour minimum. I was never told of this fee when I called, only the $129 service call, that I did agree too and felt that's all I should have been charged since they did at least show up. The following morning I went to my local hardware store and purchased a $25 auger and $3 wax ring and pulled a toilet and snaked the line myself and cleared it within a few minutes. For less than $30 I managed to do myself what Ben Franklin didn't do for $300, and for a whole lot less than the $2,500 they claimed I needed to give them to fix it.

We called MVP in the evening of 8/27/22 to unclog our sewer line. Mike came out soon after and got the job done - to the tune of $275, which is their flat rate for such a job....with a 60-day warranty. So on the 87th day the sewer backed up again. I called MVP Tues and he said he'd get to it after he finished the job he was on. To make a long story short, after 4 phone calls over 2 days - then ignoring further calls - I heft a msg to just forget it. Yeah, there's a good reason why he's been given 1 star by people.
