We thought the price was reasonable and he even left us with  little cans of the leftover paint they used.

I believe Michael and Son just did a terrific job to demonstrate what too big to manage means.

The previous homeowner had a intelligent thermostat installed at the property by Michael and Son together with the installation of the furnace. When I took over the property, I will need Michael and Son to set up an online account for me in order to use the thermostat. I first called their customer service on 8/18. Customer service could not answer this question but instead told me to email another department and indicated that I should get a response by the next morning the latest. By the end of the next day, no responses from Michael and Son and as such I made my second call. As expected, customer service seems to be clueless regarding my question and told me this should be handled by HVAC department. When asked to provide contact information for HVAC department, customer service told me that the HVAC department does not have contact info and all they can do is to leave a voice message internally and the HVAC department will get back to my request. Today, 8/22, I made my third attempt, after receiving absolutely NO responses whatsoever, by trying customer service with my finger crossed to hope that miracle will happen. Well I should not have my hope set up too high - again all customer service can do is to leave a message to HVAC department and nothing beyond that. They could not even tell me when I should expect a call back. All I can do is just to sit and wait. This time I insist to get a contact number so I can talk to the HVAC department directly. Here is the response I get we only do internal extension and thus there is no long number that you can call..

At this point, I have nothing I can do but just sit and wait that Michael and Son could somehow call me back to set up an online account access, which based on an ordinary people's common sense would only take no more than 15 minutes. I have to admit that Michael and Son is a pretty big company in this area for HVAC services, however this is the exact reason I tend to avoid this type of large companies - they could not get the smallest and simplest request fulfilled for the customer.

Update: (from one start to four stars)

Since my original post, the customer relationship department of Michael and Son has reached out to me and get my request fulfilled within 24 hours. A big shout to Maurice who has been staying on top of the issue and providing timely update to keep me in the loop. The four stars review is based on Michael and Son's service since the original post and experience. This is the service I was looking for, however it would be great next time that customers could receive such services without using this much efforts.
