Will helped us install a new outlet, and fix 2 other outdoor outlets on our home which work great now. He also repaired an outdoor faucet which had started leaking. That was more complicated because of how it was integrated into the side of the house and needed some patching up afterwards, which he also did. It's been a little while since he completed the jobs and everything works great now. Highly recommended.

Stellar Plumbing Plumbing Service
Our costs to hire Stellar Plumbing, we were out about $135 in parts they ruined and the weeks it took waiting for them to return calls and then hiring others to do the job right.

I have worked with contractors including plumbers for over 10 years.  Our two regular guys were busy so I checked yelp. I saw the good reviews so I hired Stellar Plumbing to set a tub in concrete.

He showed up, but he didn't set the tub in concrete. He did not dry fit (e.g. put it in place without gluing it) the tub into the space nor the drain kit to the tub.  Instead with the tub not yet in the correct location he attached the drain pipe to the abs stub coming out of the floor and glued everything together.  Only then did he go to put the tub in place and found out the tub didn't fit in the space (the alcove back wall was a little too narrow).  He said anyone could finish the job and when I said what about setting the tub in concrete, that this is what he had been hired to do, he seemed very surprised, like he never knew that.  Then he proceeded to call the boss to discuss the job in detail (what he did, what he could not do, what was being done next, etc.).  Now if this is supposed to be a one man company, who was at the job site and who was the boss he was calling to discuss what he had done and what he should do next?

I was very skeptical if the portion of work that as done had been done right because if the drain pipe for the overflow & drain openings are off 1/4 you are forcing the abs into place and fastening it there (e.g. it is being stressed forever and will fail early) or worse if you have to tilt it some to get the abs to be flush with the tub wall it does not create a good seal with the installer just hoping that the gaskets will fill in the difference enough to make it work (e.g. one side of the gasket is over-tight against the tub wall and the other one is just barely tight against the tub wall).

When I expressed concern with the work having been done in this order (I have never seen it done in this order nor would I do it in that order myself because of the problems it caused), he replied I am a professional.  A professional would have a discussed the issue, just saying that doesn't mean he knows how or does a good job.

I wanted to give Stellar plumbing the benefit of the doubt so I left things as we will widen the alcove back corner and then call him about the next step.  Well, when I  checked the work done (putting the drain kit on and ptrap in and attaching it to the pipe coming from the house).

I found severe problems which resulted in the entire work done needing to be ripped out and redone.  The reasons why:
1) They violated the plumbing code by using the wrong fittings in the wrong places so it would never pass an inspection and be a place that is would be prone to clogs in the future.  Note: We had provided  a number of fittings of which at least 3 configurations could have been put in that would not have violated plumbing code.

2) He didn't bother to dry fit the drain kit to the tub before he glued it and it turns out though it was adjustable in length, the horizontal piece under the drain at the shortest length was 3/4 too long and would never fit.  The drain kit & tub were from the same manufacturer and sold as working together but it would never work (the manufacturer said just take it back and get a different style).

I called Stellar plumbing several times over several days and left two messages but never got a call back.  We gave up after a week and had someone else cut out his work and put in new parts that were to code and fit and do the original job that Stellar plumbing was hired for - setting the tub in concrete.  He sent a bill for 2 hours of work, he should have showed up, spent 15 minutes dry-fitting the tub in the alcove, and left without doing any other work.

He finally called a few weeks later asking for his money, the issues were explained, he would not discuss them and I told him I knew a couple of the pluming inspection supervisors and we can run it by them,  he just talked a lot of nonsense without listening or having a back and forth conversation - I think he was drunk.

Our costs to hire Stellar plumbing:
@$65 - the drain kit that has been glued to abs and could not be returned.
@$20 - abs parts we supplied and he glued together so they could not be reused.
@50 - money spent on workers to help him move the tub in place and to manage his work.

If you don't know plumbing codes or best plumbing practices, do not hire Stellar plumbing. Your cost would be @$500 to tear out the walls and clean up the mildew/mold/dryrot caused by leaks in the abs pipe and then pay to have it all done again.

Schuerman Plumbing Plumbing Service
Replaced all 6 of our bathroom sink valves. There were plastic, cheapo, and dripping. Done in 40 minutes. Wonderful, friendly plumber. Had a long waiting list (3 weeks for me) but I guess that's a testament to demand + quality :)

West Seattle Sewer & Drain Plumbing Service
I've asked Bill to come over around 5 or 6 times and he also worked for a friend of mine. Always on time, figures out what needs to be done on existing construction (replacing a kitchen faucet today), works fast, keeps things clean, and never a need to call back. Never has needed to go fetch a part because his truck is completely stocked and organized. Very reasonable price (I pay before he leaves the house). It doesn't get any better.

Quick service, highly competitive bid, above and beyond. Highly recommended!  Came out same day, started on leaky meter connection. Too late in the day for necessary gluing. Stabilized the situation and came back next business day and reinforced connections with brass and PEX vs PVC. These guys are the best!

Erik D Plumber Plumbing Service
After my unsuccessful attempt at removing the bathroom shower handle to fix a dripping faucet (stripped screw), I decided to contact a professional. I called Erik D Plumber on a Friday, who scheduled Brian for the following Wednesday. I appreciated Brian's friendly and straightforward manner and his thorough explanation of the hourly rate and approximate costs for parts. He worked fast, and the final bill was reasonable (more so than other plumbers I've hired). Thanks, Brian and Erik! I've already recommended Erik D Plumber to a friend.

All Ways Rooter Plumbing Service
Who would have ever thought having to call a plumber would be a pleasant experience?  After putting off our basement toilet replacement for way too long and too many vague quotes and stipulations, we found Sam and All Ways Rooter.  He was prepared, on time, professional, very quick to get us on his schedule, and does wonderful work, I cannot recommend Sam and All Ways Rooter more. I certainly don't want or wish for any more plumbing issues in the near future, but if that is the case, it will be a pleasure to work with Sam again. to take care of our problems.

Tech City Plumbing Plumbing Service
I work in the Property Management field and encounter water leaks and plumbing issues on a weekly basis. In this industry I have worked with many plumbers, some good and some bad.

I met Elvis (one of the Tech City owners) because he was recommended by another property manager who used him frequently. I was quite happy with the service Tech City provided and now I reach out to Elvis and Tim (the other owner) for pretty much everything - water heater leaks, sewer pipe leaks, shower/bathtub leaks causing water intrusion to other units, troubleshooting sewer gas smells throughout condominium units, I have had them accompanying myself during unit inspections to check for potential plumbing problems, etc. The list goes on...

A couple of months ago the water heater at my own house started leaking. Immediately I gave Tech City a call and Tim was out the an hour later to take a look and educate my husband and I on the problem and solution. Our repair was pretty complex due to the age of the home and how the ducts and plumbing was originally installed. The next day (when we had decided what route to go) Tim and Elvis returned to take measurements and gather more information. They ended up having to re-work the ducts, install a 50 gallon tank on a stand. The 75 gallon tank we had that was leaking was just sitting on the ground. Thanks to Tech City I found out that is a huge no-no and very dangerous. They installed a booster on the tank so the water heats up quickly. It's nice because the water is immediately hot, we no longer have to waste water by letting it run for a bit to heat up. On the day of the new tank installation, both Elvis and Tim were at my home for an entire day getting everything running and to plumbing code.

Tech City is hands down the best company who I have done business with. If I call because I have a unit with an issue, I can always count on Elvis and Tim to respond right away. The homeowners are always satisfied with the quality of work and level of customer service they were provided.

I recommend this company due to the very fair with pricing, responsiveness, excellent customer service, the pride taken in the work they do, and the list goes on.

If you're needing a plumber who will take good care of you, give Tech City Plumbing and Drain Service a call. You won't be disappointed!

Thank you so much!

Can't say how awesome this company is. I was referred to them by Kings Plumbing for a clog we were having leaving both toilets unusable. Called them Thursday morning and with Stacia's help they were there in less then an hour. The guys were in and out in an hour and price was less then we thought. Definitely keep their number on file.

Our hot water heater went out on a Sunday, after a few messages back and forth we scheduled a 8AM appointment for the next day for a tankless hot water heater to replace our leaking tank heater.  They showed up right on time and we're done in a couple hours.  A+ job    Will definitely have them do all our plumbing work in the future.

Great job!  Have an 80 year old house in NE Seattle that has been giving me sewer backup problems for years.  I've dealt with many plumbers over the years and Zach and his team were fantastic.  The job was to clean and line 3 segments of buried sewer line.  Getting equipment in to tight spots and dealing with mature growth trees was no problem.  Scheduling was quick and they started the job right away.  Finished the job on time as well.  We had no down time with the sewer line.  The staff were courteous and did a real nice job replacing soil and replanting with grass seed.  Zach went out of his way, and above and beyond, to answer all my questions and treat his customer right.  Thanks!

Used their services for a sewer leak that was under my crawlspace connecting to the city line (that was discovered by our home inspector who said the valve just needed to be tightened).  The gentleman they sent was in and out, and finished in less than an hour.  He came to my house wearing a mask (due to Covid), and wore booties.  After he finished, I asked him what was wrong with our lines to make sure he wasn't going to rip us off, and he said I just tightened the valves, nothing else.  I was surprised because he didn't try to upsell us, or made-up some story that the pipes needed to be changed entirely, which I was expecting.  We only got charged less than $180 for the work, and there were no other hidden charges (ie additional charges for a crawlspace access).  I'm very happy with their service, and recommend them to others.

Jafco Plumbing and Sewer Plumbing Service
We just used Jafco on a big sewer and plumbing  job on our 1966 home. We were very pleased with the estimator/manager, sewer and plumbing crews work. They were honest, hardworking, knew what they were doing, neat and complete.

Our Issues:
1. Our 1966 basement toilet plumbing pipes were corroded and flushes had gotten very weak, and we had too many backups into the shower from it.
2. Old, cracked  sewer line out to the sidewalk.
3. Sadly, old cast iron sewer and plumbing pipes all met up under our family cement floor. YIKES!!!!!

We had 4 bids. We went with Jafco as they had the best reviews on-line.

The Job:
1. Reline the sewer pipes out to the sidewalk replacing some of the main pipes in the house.
2. Replace basement bathroom plumbing pipes in the basement bathroom.

The worst part is the fact that our 1966 house sewer/plumbing pipes are buried 3 feet under cement in our family room carpet. They had to use a cement cutter to create a 20 ft V shaped trench to replace pipes in family room floor as well as jackhammer under the shower and toilet.

It was a big 2.5 week job. It was costly primarily due to the cutting cement  and digging trenches inside my house. The work was topnotch, both inside and out. If we wanted our 3rd bathroom back in service, we had no choice but to replace pipes that were underneath our cement family room floor.

We were very, very pleased with the Jafco workers, workmanship, consulting us along the way, and the results. We have no complaints.

If you have a big sewer/plumbing job go with the best out there. One thing I learned about trenchless sewer pipe relining is that there are two different ways to reline them. Jafco uses Nu-Flo liner, not the material that is blown in which is the more commonly used product. I felt Nu-Flo was a better product.

I really feel for plumbers...when you need them you need them right now and when they agree to do the job all we do is complain about how expensive it is! Well I just want to thank Blake plumbing for their hard work and consistency. I've worked with them twice now and I'll continue to have a relationship with them. Thanks again.

JV Plumbing Plumbing Service
I cannot say enough things about the plumbing work that José and his staff performed on my cabin near Index.  I had been in contact with several plumbers, including one who agreed to do the job, never showed up, nor returned any messages.

José was the exact opposite:  He responded to my inquiry within a half hour, showed up on time for the estimate, and produced a detailed, professional estimate,   José did the work on time, within budget, and took care of some unanticipated issues as well.

José did a great job, and I will use him again if I have any other issues!

Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Seattle Plumbing Service
Update: This is a long-pending update. The branch manager indeed called me after they realized what had happened. Not only did they sincerely apologize for the error, they also refunded the service charge. I appreciate the manager's promptness in reaching out and trying to fix the situation for me.

Original post: I recently changed my kitchen and bathroom vanity countertops, and asked Mr. Rooter to fix new faucets (that we had purchased), the same garbage disposal, and do any additional plumbing (if required).

They sent a person to give me an estimate. The technician told me that this should be a simple job. This was encouraging - until they told me that it would cost me over $4,000 for the job. I told them I'd think about it, and get back to them. I eventually got the job done by a reputed plumbing company for less than $800. Mr. Rooter quoted me a price that was greater than 5X.

They also charged me $40 to give me an estimate. The technician shamelessly tried to suggest that they were giving me a discount, since they typically add a $20 charge for transportation. They had clearly not indicated this, and I made it clear that even the suggestion was ridiculous, since many other companies don't charge to provide an estimate.

The technician told me that they don't use components from Home Depot since they're not quality products (since when?). He told me that he needed to get branded accessories (all I needed was a sink bracket - which is a universal $15 component) that they can only get from their warehouse, which would take several days. This was a clear hint that they were not trustworthy, since no other company told me this.

The technician also tried to tell me how they were giving me a discount for a big job. This was of course ridiculous, since 1) they were charging me 5X and 2) When I got a quote for the kitchen (potentially the biggest job), it was ~1/5 the full job estimate (I had 4 bathroom vanity sinks + kitchen).

Never going to contact these guys again.

South West Plumbing Service
I'd used South West once before and had a good experience with Dom, but on the second visit another employee lost my business with SW forever.

The lead technician they sent was more interested in upselling than doing a good job, and the work he and his helper did seemed overpriced. But that's not the worst of it...

I discovered a few days after they left they'd turned my water heater from the cost-effective warm all the way to red HOT setting. I nearly burned myself three times before I realized what they'd done. What if we'd had kids in the house? This tactic to burnout water heater elements is a lawsuit waiting to happen!

I left a message for the service manager about this incident, but never even got a call back. Maybe he's heard this complaint before? Pretty lame. This one short-term thinking employee has cost them the lifetime value of my business. I will never trust this company again.

Joshua came out because our water heater needed replacing and we had an issue with our shower. He was very thorough and diagnosed the issue with the cartridge. He not only replaced our water heater, but cleaned and made the area safe and up to code so we don't have to worry about it. He also educated us on draining it yearly to avoid sediment build up. He explained all of the pricing well and any suggestions he had. Very pleased with the work done, and them going above and beyond to leave us with a much better situation than the previous owners left us. Highly recommend these guys!
