Best Heater Installation in San Francisco CA
I called Beastbay yesterday and told Dee I was frantically in need of a plumber, had a leak coming from my light fixture in my kitchen pantry. She stated she had no one available to help me, but assured me she could have someone out first thing the next morning. I agreed and sure enough she was true to her word. AJ showed up on time, had on his mask, and put on his booties over his boots before he entered the house. And after listening to us give our less than professional plumbing opinion of what we thought the problem was (lol), AJ said he would take care of it and that he thought he knew what the problem was. And he was right on the money.... It was a bad wax ring and he replaced it right away. No more leak and the price was reasonable. I have used Beastbay in the past, had two toilets replaced and my water shut-off valve replaced, and they did an excellent job. Now another great job completed and I'm a happy camper. I plan to use them for future plumbing needs. Thank you Dee, AJ, and Beastbay for a job well done.

I messed up and put some really hard stuff (basil stems) down the garbage disposal that jammed up the drain completely (not the GD; it worked). Tried the usual almost useless liquid (Drano); that didn't even touch the problem. So, even though it was Sunday, I called my usual plumber. The woman who answered (obviously an answering service) was very nice and said someone would call me back in 15 minutes. Half hour later and no call. So i checked the web and found Mr. Rooter.
The woman who answered was very polite, said she would call back. Within 5 minutes she called and said that Chris was just finishing a job in my area and would be over in a half hour. Shortly after that Chris called and said he would be over shortly. Less than 45 minutes later Chris pulls up in front, comes to the door, puts on his booties (not everyone does that), and inspects the situation. He goes back to the truck, pulls out his tools and a bunch of towels (to protect our floor and sink), and gets to work.
In about an hour he has pulled the pipes, snaked the drain, cleaned out the traps, cleaned up the mess in the sink, put his tools away, and handed me a bill. I thought the price was a bit high, but it was Sunday and it was a nasty job. He also gave us some hints on how to take care of the GD and the drains to help keep them cleaned out. So, I'm not unhappy about the price. If (when??) it happens again, Mr Rooter will be the go to outfit.

I needed my water heater pilot to be replaced. Was told by other plumbers I need to replace the entire pilot unit, which would have cost me over $300.00. I called Tromborg and they knew how to replace the pilot without replacing the entire unit. Saved me over $150!
I've used Tromborg for 20 years and always receive great service.

Nick responded fast and was knowledgable about getting a few leaks fixed in our apartment. He's an honest plumber who lets you know exactly what's going on and what the options are for fixing it. Service was great, I'm definitely calling him next time I have a plumbing issue.

First time using a rooter service and was surprised for the professionalism and ease of dealing with Joven. I will recommend him to friends and family.

This is the second time I've called Bedr to help me with some handyman type work, and again he's overdelivered! He's super friendly, works fast, and is an awesome communicator. So long as I'm in San Francisco, I'll be calling Bedr and Hassle-Free Handyman for everything home related!

I have used Harry Clark on a limited basis over the past 20 years. They are a professional outfit and back when I first used them (pre-Yelp) they were who you used in Oakland. I used their services both personally and referred to my real estate clients who were new to most of the basic home service people.
What I've found over the years is that it has become harder and harder to refer their company to my clients for the small jobs. If it's a big job, you get on the board, but if it is a small to medium-sized job, you're going to wait. And the bids were increasingly less competitive compared to smaller operations. For instance, to check a water heater, that had a few issues, they charge a $160 fee just to come out and do an inspection which isn't applicable to the job later. What the ???
Overall, I found the work of their contractors just fine. However, unless they are doing major work like replacing a furnace, don't bother calling them. There are other companies who treat each job like an opportunity to help and earn your business.

I've used Chung Wah Plumbing for the past 12 years. They initially helped me with a major remodel, and subsequently with several smaller plumbing tasks along the way. Their employees are hard working and competent. Steve (their boss) is knowledgeable and responsive. Their hourly rates are comparable to other plumbers but the Chung Wah job will cost less because they work super fast. Why? Because they're busy and need to get to their next job. If you want to experience Asian work ethic, hire them and watch them work!

I had a new dishwasher that needed installation, and Saul was recommended to me. He responded quickly, gave me a reasonable quote when he and Dave arrived the next day. They communicated my options very clearly and got the job done quickly. Thank you Saul and Dave.

Edgar is top notch in every way. He has been over here for at least three jobs, and though busy always tries to help when there is an urgent matter. It's Sunday night and Edgar is here replacing my old, broken water heater. His work is stellar and he is always so professional. Thank you Edgar, you are a treasure!

I just moved to California and was nervous to call a plumber without a reference from a friend or co-worker.... but on a Saturday night, I had no choice. The guys at Wizard came out quickly, were incredibly competent and respectful, and I really felt like the price was fair. I will call them every time and will tell everyone near here that these are the guys to call! Very happy new customer!

Called alansi to look at constantly running toilet. Turns out the other plumbers who came out installed a defective fill valve. They changed it, installed a new connector and made some other updates. I would have started with alansi in the first place but they don't provide service after 5pm. Appreciate all their hard work though

Incredibly responsive, honest and delivered quality work. The employee that showed up (Will) gave me options that would work best for me and we came to agreement on something that could be done quickly at low cost, but not compromise quality of work. I know who I'll be calling for any and all future plumbing work.

I called Advanced Trenchless after 2 other companies could not clear my sewer lateral. They worked HARD until it was cleared. I also engaged their services to replace my lateral, and they did a fantastic job. All employees were helpful and courteous. I highly recommend Advanced Trenchless. They were a pleasure to do business with.

Today I find my kitchen sink leaking like a sieve. I fire up my computer to check Yelp for plumber recommendations, and I come across the positive reviews of Heise's. Low and behold, I give them a call and get a friendly gentleman by the name of Dave. I explain my problem to him and he says he's not going to come out. Instead, he's going to tell me over the phone how to fix the problem because he would be taking my money if he came to my house for the repair. I kid you not. Within a few minutes I made the repair and saved myself what I'm sure would have been the equivalent of a car payment. These guys are great.

Frank came for a multi-faceted project: unclogging the kitchen sink and replacing a bathroom sink.
He was prompt, on-time, and professional. He explained what was happening, took a leaky valve in-stride, turned off the water to the house and quickly replaced the valves. His work was very thorough, he replaced the bathroom faucet, unclogged the kitchen sink. While he was replacing the bathroom faucet he noticed our bathroom toilet water was running (this was a long standing issue that I had forgotten about) and fixed that on the spot as well.
He did these three projects quickly, was very professional and a great person to work with. He's an honest guy -- I would highly recommend!

I hired STK for a hot water heater replacement. Kenny showed up on time, got the exact water heater requested and completed the take in less time than he thought. The quality of the work was great and I am happy to have hot water again
