Best Wiring Repair in San Diego CA
My new handy-person! Kelley knows her stuff. I needed something to seal the gap between the bottom of my security door and the ground. With the weather so nice, I wanted to keep my front door open, but if I did that, I would have had unwelcome visitors, like lizards, just wander in. I called numerous other places, all of whom ignored me. Not Kelley. She came out, added a piece to the bottom of the screen and you can't even tell....plus she weather-stripped my door from the kitchen to the garage. Because she was so quick and good, I asked her to come back and paint my fence. She did a BEAUTIFUL job. I have an older home and a lot of little things that need to be fixed, plus, I sometimes mess things up myself. Now I can rest a lot easier knowing Kelley will be there to fix anything I can wreck. Thanks Kelley! I am sure I will see you soon.

Let me just start by saying that the plumber they sent out to take a look @ my clogged sink saved Ideal from getting a pretty bad rating from me. Let me explain. I called on a Wednesday at roughly 4pm for a clogged bathroom sink. Not a major issue so when they explained to me that they could send someone out the next morning (or I could pay overtime for an after hours call) I was totally fine with a next day appointment. No biggie. I made the appointment and was told the technician would be at my house between 8 and 8:30am. Next day... 8:50am, no technician and no call from Ideal so I pickup the phone and call them. They have no record of me ever calling. Heavy sigh. They apologized and said they could get someone out right away - which turned out to mean 10am to them (it wasn't even 9am yet). So I wait another hour. The CSR calls shortly after 10am and says the technician is just finishing up his last job and will be at my place in 20 or 30 minutes. 10:40am and technician finally arrives (mind you I've been waiting since 8am). The technicians name was Jose and he was so professional and kind. He totally redeemed Ideal for me. He cleared the drain and then proceed to look into another complaint I had (sulfur smell coming from the tub). He said he could snake that drain too but wanted to check something out first and asked me if the house had a crawl space. I pointed it out to him and in less then 5 minutes he came back and told me there was no need to snake the tub, that the problem was that fact that there is no P-Trap attached to the tub drain (the results of the previous homeowners DIY handy work). Jose surely could have told me he needed to snake the tub and charged me but he didn't and instead said I could have the P-Trap added but it wasn't necessary. Thank you Jose! I will be using Ideal again because of you!

I never write negative reviews but you guys deserve this one. My carpenters accidentally broke a fresh water valve under my kitchen sink. Water was spraying all over my kitchen floor. So I turned off the main water valve in the garage. I called my friends at PLE&P to come over and replace a couple of water valves. Your guy quoted $2700. Twenty Seven Hundred F'in Dollars to do a $100 job. I bargained him down to $300 but he had to ask his boss for approval. What a ripoff. To make matters worse, one of the new valves was leaking the next day. You guys wanted more money to fix it. I warned my 95 yr old mother to be careful of plumbers like PLE&P. I'll never call PLE&P to help me with any of my properties again.

I've never experienced any unprofessionalism and lack of integrity like this. This company sent over a guy who is unbelievably slow, doesn't complete work, and still wanna charge a lot. I can't imagine it takes two days for someone to install 5 pairs of dampers to cabinets, 2 shower curtain rods, and change two AC filters. For this little amount of work, he has charged me $450 labor only and took 7-8 hours in 2 days. He doesn't charge by hour and only charge by project. He couldn't finish the full list of work planned and doesn't patch up walls when he messed the paints when installing the curtain rods at a wrong position. What's even worse, he mixed the purchase of materials with someone else's and wanna charge me for the full amount. It made me feel he did so intentionally with no integrity at all as he bought 6 pairs of dampers and never gave me the one extra pair he didn't use. It could just be this one guy whose name is Farhad that is this bad. The company should reconsider if he is qualified and stop letting him ruin the reputation of the Company.
Farhad's response below is beyond the point. It's not about charging work by hour or by project. The point is that the three tasks mentioned above only takes 1 hour or 1.5 hour maximum. The hourly rate for a handyman in Oceanside is $30-$45 per hour. At least this is the quote I've received from two other handyman. In other words, the work Farhad did should have cost less than $100 if it is done by someone who's more skillful and even given a $60 hourly rate. Another handyman has changed the hinges for all 15+ cabinets in my house for just a bit over an hour.
I'm usually ok with paying people more with tips if he shows he has tried hard and worked hard. No, Farhad, I don't need you to finish work anymore. I need you to refund me the extra damper I bought and you didn't return to me or use on the job.
You need to position yourself better in this market. The service provided and the rate you've charge won't be sustainable for the business.

I called Anthem Handyman Services to fix a leaking water pipe in my wall. Gunner showed up in a timely fashion to repair the leak. He even came back the next day to repair the drywall that was damaged during the leak and repair process. It was such a relief to deal with one company during this ordeal. I would totally use this company again.
