Best Drain Field Installation in San Antonio TX
I made an appointment to have a leak repaired. On the day of the appointment I noticed the leak wasn't there anymore so I texted the gentleman I had been texting the entire time to set up the appointment to cancel. He instructed me that next time I should call instead of text because his technician was already at my residence (He wasn't) and that's how they keep costs down. Well he had already estimated the repair to be $175 without even knowing what was wrong. These people are money hungry. He sent me an invoice. I guess I will put it in the neighbors mailbox.

I had a major problem. I was outputting 23% more water per hour than normal and had a $200 water bill. I had a leak...somewhere. It's just me and I usually have bills under $100. I called a couple of companies, not very customer friendly to say the least then I started look for plumbers by their reviews. Red Brass had a solid 5 star review record so I called. I got in touch with Mitch. He said he could be there by 7 and he was. This leak was not obvious. There was nothing in the house that would indicate there was a leak. He looked absolutely everywhere. Isolated all of the water lines. He is by far the best at what he does. But what I want to highlight here is this. He said to me nobody ever wakes up thinking they want to call a plumber. It's true. Of everything that goes wrong, you think of your pipes last because we all think those are solid and nothing can go wrong there. He is a person, not just a company. He understood my financial situation and his willingness and persistence to go out of his way to find and almost impossible leak amazed me. Not many people would go out of their way to help like he did. Not only would I recommend him and this company, I will be using them for all of my plumbing needs. Indoor and out.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND:
Had a kitchen faucet replaced (I suppled the faucet- he was cool with that). Plumber also replaced two cutoff valves-one that needed to be replaced right now and one the plumber recommended since it was old. ( He gave me a choice about whether to do second valve ) . Price was fair, comparable to other quotes. Gave me a discount on installing the new valves since it was an add-on.
Very fast next day morning service, prompt arrival at appt. time. Worked neatly (minimal spillage ) and cleaned and dried under the sink thoroughly after the job was finished.
Great job all the way around.

Not sure what all the high ratings for this place are about. We called to get an estimate on a replacement gas water heater. Were told that the estimate would cost $79 but that was deductible from the job should we follow through. An appointment was set, but no one showed nor called. Given the high ratings these guys had, We called them back the next day to see what was up. They said that they had a computer problem. We reset the date. Te guy shows up. Takes a look see at the water heater. Asks us the size we wanted. Worked some screens on his computer and gave us a number. I asked fro a print out but he said he could not do that. So, I asked him to email me the estimate. so I could see what they were including for the number and have a record of the estimate I paid for. I frankly cannot recall what he responded or whether he did respond.
We paid the bill and he emailed us a receipt for the payment BUT not a written estimate. I responded requesting the written estimate explaining what his bid included (the heater to be included and what others items) and the final price. Never heard back. I paid for an usable estimate. $79 for a number that is not documented to include items not specified in writing means nothing.
We'll never use these people again.

I have so many bad things to say about Goettl, let's start with the extended warranty I have on my Carrier air conditioner that they did not install or sell me. However, being in the business, they know what an extended warranty covers. They refused to cover the labor, insisted it wasn't covered and would not listen to reason or read the policy which specifically stated the labor was covered.
Their plumbing service is not much better. I had someone fixing a leak in my master sink and asked him to look at a leaking fixture in the kitchen. He found the leak and although he did not refuse to fix it he did not fix it. He simply made a comment that it was a good thing it was leaking on the side it was leaking so it wouldn't drip into the wood cabinet below. Needless to say, I later had to have it fixed and they overcharged me and would not itemize the bill.
I had a service contract with them and this is how they treated me. Now I'm going to sign up with a different company who cares more about their customers than Goettl does.

Called this company for water softener repair and was told that they would order the owners manual and get back to me. Never heard a word from them again.....until they sent me a bill for $225.00 three weeks later. I had already ordered parts and had a reputable plumber repair the softener for $170.00. Don't waste your time with A-1 Tri-County Plumbing.
