Best Routine Maintenance in Raleigh NC
I had a leaking coil diagnosed by another company. Unfortunately, the first company could not do the repair as they were not an authorized dealer. I called Raleigh Heating as they are authorized and the person the phone said it would be a $99 diagnostic fee. I scheduled the appointment. Two guys came out and took a quick look and said the unit is leaking refrigerant. They then stated it would be another $135 fee to diagnose where the leak was coming from. This fee took me by surprise as I thought the $99 diagnostic fee was for 'diagnosing' the issue. Apparently not. When making the appointment, they should disclose there may be additional fees. This was never done in my case. Regardless, I paid my $99 fee, kicked them out (this was not the repair guys fault - more so on management who they contacted) and will give the business to another company who plays fairly. Raleigh Heating lost a $3000-$4000 job because they felt like nickel and diming a potential customer.

Recently found myself in the market for a new hot water heater. Not super urgent as my current was slowly dying, hadn't yet failed. I did my due diligence and reached out to nearly 10 businesses for quotes. I received a pretty wide spectrum of responses both in/off Yelp. Eugene from the Art of Plumbing was both one of the most competitively priced but the most responsive and helpful. He was willing to work me into his schedule quickly, and after some winter weather interfered with our plan, rescheduled quickly and accommodated my work schedule - he worked in my garage throughout the day and texted me when finished for me to remotely close my garage door. Cleaned up everything, took away the old tank, added a new expansion tank, and was readily available via text and checked in with me several times after the service to make sure everything was well. Highly recommended! Will certainly use him for plumbing needs in the future!
