I would stay away. We hired TLC for a large remodel (gut job) based in part on the positive reviews online. They demanded heavy upfront payment and continually asked for more cash to continue even though we had paid for a lot more than had been completed. They missed every timeline they gave us. There were repeated and unexplained delays, including weeks at a time where no one would show up to the site. Communication and responsiveness were poor and it was very hard to get any information or updates on the project. We are 15 months into what should have been a 5-6 month project and there's still a lot of work left even though at this point we've paid almost all of the agreed budget. We are now having to hire another contractor to finish the job. On top of that we have significant funds unaccounted for and I've had to hire a lawyer for the first time in my life to try and resolve this. I do not recommend working with TLC.
