A leaking shower in a 110 year old house with ancient valves yielded up a pair of stems that were not easily identified on all the various Internet parts sites.  

Freret Hardware couldn't match it, so they referred me to Plumbparts.  They had it.  Everything fit up nicely. He was even able to fit a pair of Price Phister knobs onto the American Standard stem with an adapter, so I could retain the original cross-style ceramic handles.

Turns out the antique cross-style handles had a plastic set of inside tines, so they were not nearly as antique as the completely rusted-out retaining screws had led me to believe.  The updated version that Freret actually did carry would have worked with my partciular two-valve body, but the Freret guys didn't know that.

I love Tunnel Vision!  I am a realtor and I have had them do many video plumbing inspections for my clients. They are very thorough and professional. Frank always takes time to explain things. They always try to fit me in even with a short notice. When it came time for my husband and I to buy a house I knew I wanted Tunnel Vision to do my plumbing inspection.

UPDATE: the owner of Pete's Plumbing indicated that I must somehow be at fault for them not getting back to me after three weeks and for losing track of the report I had sent them. Well, I finally got hold of two other plumbers who answered my call, did not lose the inspector's report, gave me an estimate, and fixed the issues. No problems there! ‍

While I have never used this company, I've had two rather nasty encounters with one of their employees possibly an owner. I was almost hit by him while he was parking illegally near the Circle K on S. Claiborne. I asked him what the hell, maybe my language was a bit more colorful. He got in my face and called me a faggot and the n word, not that it matters but I'm white. I didn't back down as I'm not one to let my self be bullied. Saw him again this morning and he started on me again. He was illegally parked in same spot and being an asshole. If this man acts this way in public I can't imagine how he is on a job and after reading other reviews they seem to track with my experience. If your like homophobes and racists then by all means hire him.
