What a freaking racket. I learned today the hard way: READ THE FINE PRINT.

I hired these guys when I first moved into my new house because my landlord used them for termite control. We had bug problems, so my landlord agreed to pay for the initial spraying. After the initial spraying was done, they were craftier than a used car salesman, insisting that I needed to sign a one year contract to get my house sprayed every few months. It also included free sprayings in-between services if we had any bugs (which we always did).

We were quickly dissatisfied with the service. They would often stop by when nobody was home as the service bill would say. I question if they even sprayed anything at all. If they did, it sure didn't work. Even worse, we were under the impression that we could not cancel the service because we had signed a contract. It looks like a contract, reads like a contract, they call it a contract, but.... wait for it... it's NOT a contract. Only today, a year after I signed the contract did someone at their office inform me that they cannot offer a non-cancelable contract under Texas Law and what I signed was only a pricing agreement. Well that's sure not how they presented it over the past year.

I'm reporting these guys to the BBB. Do NOT under any circumstances ever use ABC Pest and Lawn. The service is just as abhorrent as their business practices.
