Best Gas Water Heater Installation in Irving TX
My job was hard. I had a hard-to-detect leak in front of the house.
Plumbers are in high demand, and I'm sure this company is no exception. Most won't call you back promptly, but Rodger's did. And they also ball-parked a range of what it would take to fix my problem - which is RARE, and makes it SO much easier to commit. So before they even arrived I was impressed.
The crew was early, knew exactly what they were doing, and spent almost all day prosecuting my leak (which required them to excavate two completely separate areas of muddy garden). Man it looked tough!
The final price was high end of stated range, and I was happy to pay it. These guys are my plumbers now, and honestly...they should be yours too.

My sewer chose the worst possible time to back up, right in the middle of the worst winter freeze in decades. I contacted Mullins Plumbing via Yelp and they were surprisingly quick to respond, again given the weather conditions. They showed up the next morning and in no time had the sewer cleared. Unfortunately they didn't know what clogged the line, only that it was something hard as they were not able to obtain a sample. But they were fairly confident it wasn't roots. With all the bad weather, power outages and 50+ calls they were working for that day they were still able to schedule me in for that morning. Definitely two thumbs up! Thank you Mullins Plumbing!!!

I've used Direct Source twice and both times Wes has been courteous, solved the problem quickly, answered my questions thoroughly and I honestly feel the price has been fair.
My ONLY point of unease is that, both times, it's suggested I do or buy something else that would ensure immediate future business. I know every business has to make money but I never know what REALLY has to be done and what is superficial.
Regardless, it was a good overall experience both times.

Water heater rusted through and we had a flood...after Dalworth cleaned up the water, Pablo rescued an emergency situation....no water. He was fast, the work professionally done all at a great price. He got the cold water back on immediately, and got the hot water back in the evening. It was nice to take a hot shower again! I will definetely call Pablo for my next job.

As a life-long DIY guy I seriously considered replacing and moving my own water heater; my now very bad back and the Dallas Code requirement for a permit (meaning a licensed plumber) said NO!
My lowboy water heater, located under the stairs to the garage, wasn't supplying enough hot water for two morning showers. To increase capacity required a move 6 feet to the other side of the plumbing wall and into the garage.
I purchased a Rheem Platinum 50 gallon from HomeDepot and thought I'd use their plumbing service, advertised at $298 for installation. A total non-starter! Only the most basic replacement job of a same-size heater in the same location using the existing plumbing is possible for that price. Everything else is extra cost at same-day emergency rates.
Not being in an emergency I took my time. Professor Plumb I found through their excellent Yelp reviews. Other plumbers I sourced through Home Advisor and similar sites. This part was disappointing experience in that pricing varied wildly, and as a group, they were either ignorant of the Dallas Plumbing Code (I've read it) or were being deliberately misleading to run up my bill.
Professor Plumb was great right from the start. Clearly they've read the plumbing code and I was comfortable that they were straightforward, honest people. Blue spoke with me on the phone and organized my job. His partner Brian actually did the work. Both were knowledgeable, polite and transparent about their pricing.
Professor Plumb charged a standard, all-inclusive fee of $648 for my water heater installation. Quotes from others were as high as $1,200.
The work was done efficiently, properly and was completed at a fair price by Professor Plumb. I will certainly be using them again. And I recommend them to you.
BTW, after engaging them to do the job I found that I could have purchased the same Rheem heater through them instead of HomeDepot and at exactly the same price. Now that I know them that's exactly what I would do.

Although we went ahead with a different company, we had a wonderful experience getting estimates and having Rhonda come out. They were responsive via yelp and set up an estimate right away. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional, she was also very responsive and although they offered a great price, we proceeded with another company that was lower

Yes, everything sounds great on what you said but none of it is real. It's not the sales team which you tell customers are engineers... lol. There's no engineers working there, they are straight up commission sales people hungry to lie to get you up sold. The techs you send to the residential homes are ALL 100% COMMISSION as well. It is Comfort Experts policy to lie to the customer and sell them anything possible on EVERY call, not fix the problem but to get 3-5-6 items totaling as much as possible on every call. Listen home owners, this company Comfort Experts is a PEACE RATE ONLY POLICY!!! The techs can't make any money showing up to your home and finding a loose terminal on a control board they must sell you major parts because they are not paid hourly or salary. When you need service call 3 companies before you state what you need and ask them what they think of Comfort Experts, you will thank me later. Every company needs to make money but when you go about it with zero integrity it's simply a shame to say the least.

This is in regards to a rental property that my dad owns. He responded to an ad in the mail with regards to getting an AC possibly replaced. When setting up the appointment, they gave us a time between 3-6pm on the scheduled date, and said that the technician would call us within 45 minutes before arrival time. But they never did. My dad was waiting for the technician to call so that he could meet up with the technician and ask him to see what it would cost to put a new system in as well as any other questions. The technician showed up around 4pm at the condo without telling my dad and the technician told the tenant that a new AC was needed and just that it was old. No more information was given. Either way, the technician shouldn't have consulted with the tenant, he should have called my dad who is the unit owner. My dad is very unhappy with their service, and he was waiting for their call and never got it.

AWESOME! Over the couple of months, two of our bathroom sinks were gradually draining more and more slowly, and one of the faucets was running very poorly. We contacted Staggs on Friday morning, and they had someone come out Saturday morning (gave us the option of Friday as well). Nicholas, the plumber, came out and examined our sinks and quickly fixed both by cleaning them out and fixed the faucet by changing the faucet aerotor (after trying to clean it). He was very courteous and professional and took time explaining what he was doing and how I could easily try the same if these issues arise in the future. I felt that he was really trying to solve the problem in the most cost effective manner rather than pushing for more expensive treatments. (To put this into context, this was after a different company had recommended hydrojetting our entire system for north of $2600 without even evaluating the pipes). I would 100% recommend Nicholas and Staggs Plumbing and plan to use them for any other issues in the future! (hopefully not any time soon though)

During the Texas winter fiasco, we had a busted water pipe. I called several plumbers but all were already booked until the following week. Plumbing 101 of DFW answered my call, said they could come over the next day and give me an estimate. That day they identified the problem and fixed it. We are grateful they could come out as quickly as they did. They were very professional and courteous despite the volume of calls they were receiving and late evenings they were working. Thank you!

Unclogged a kitchen sink with a backup far down the line. Even replaced our PVC under the sink. Same day service. A little expensive, but very professional and communicates well.

There are a lot of great aspects to owning your own home but, when things go wrong, you will re-think every last one of them. There were plumbing issues happening past the resolution skills of the big box plunger, and even the 'do it yourself' drain snake...it was time to call someone.
Why is calling a plumber one of the most hated tasks of life? The appearance of the guy who shows up at the door? The surprise bill that knocks you over at the end of the job? Not knowing exactly what they are doing with the best seat in the house? Wondering when they are going to show up? AAA Auger addresses these issues as well as what's going on with the pipes.
After spending the night in a hotel (we are accustomed to indoor plumbing...) I called the next morning. The phone was answered quickly and professionally and I was told that everyone was currently out on a job but I could be placed on the waiting list and that someone would be able to come the same day but it might be later in the day. Since we were in a hotel, I was OK with that.
About 20 minutes later, I received a call that someone was available and he could be at my house in 20 minutes. I asked for 30 and we rushed home to find the van waiting for us!
Now, here's where the fears of calling a plumber start to further disappear....the van is unmistakable...it's not some independent dude showing up in a pickup truck that he probably takes hunting on the weekends. The vans are white and clean (and stocked with all the equipment one might need) with the company name in red on the sides. The plumber was in black pants with a red company shirt and, even though my floors are nothing to write home about, he put blue booties on over his work boots whenever he came inside.
He assessed the situation and, before starting any work, wrote up a quote for what he needed to do. What? I already know how much it's going to cost? This is REALLY the price? Hmmmm....has to be a catch in here somewhere...OH, what's the hourly rate?!?! Oh, there is none? Well, OK, then let's proceed!
He worked outside for about an hour, clearing the pipes of some roots that had invaded, and then let me watch over his shoulder as he used the See Snake to visually inspect the rest of the pipe running the length of the house (a nice way for me to tell if I might have any foundation issues going on!) I was informed and kept in the loop every step of the way which helped me learn a little bit more about my house. He also wrote up a quote for how much it would cost to completely repair the pipe, should I decide to do that in the future, but there was no pressure or unnecessary drama to make me believe I needed to schedule that right away.
It was all over as quickly as it had started and it was about as painless as it could be. I printed off a $20 coupon from their website which was happily accepted and there were no surprise fees added on. Not long after he left, I received a follow-up call from the office making sure the problem had been fixed and that I was satisfied with the service. Definitely!
I originally found this business on the Shepherd's Guide website and then came to Yelp to check out other reviews. I know not everyone's experience is perfect, and there are 3 sides to every story (yours, theirs and the truth), but I'm making this review my first Yelp review because I had a great experience. I know there are other homeowners like me who, at some point, are going to need to call someone and I want to recommend AAA Auger as someone you can trust with your investment of your home.
Now, if anyone asks me if I can recommend a plumber, I'm able to say why yes, I DO have a plumber AND one I can feel good referring to other people!

I had a plumbing emergency and found out my regular plumber does not do evenings or weekends. I called My Local Plumber and the person who answered asked a lot of questions and had me send pics. She shared the pics and details with a plumber and had someone there in 20 minutes after 5 pm on a Friday. The plumber took the time to show me the issue and explain what caused it. The cost was reasonable. Moving forward, I will use them as my plumber.

Can you give a company zero stars? Will NEVER use them again. Called because of a clogged kitchen sink. First, their website says 24/7, but turns out they charge WAY more for evenings and weekends. Don't find that out until you call. Next, the have a 499 drain cleaning special, but there's enough restrictions that they won't actually honor it. They'll find a reason they don't have to.
Scheduled an appointment. Technician arrived 10 minutes AFTER the scheduled window. They checked out the problem, made sure the problem was only the kitchen sink (ran the laundry, made sure it was not also backing up). Said it would cost $300. Offered a discount if I took care of removing all of the pipes under the sink myself. What? So I'm paying someone to have ME do the work?
All they did was run a snake down the drain (after I removed the pipes). Did it fix the problem? Nope. Did it again (with me doing the majority of the work again). Still didn't work. Did it all a third time. Now the sink still backs up AND the LAUNDRY backs up too! So they made the problem WORSE instead of better.
Their suggestion? Well, we can keep trying it, but have to charge extra for the additional time (time for them to watch me take the pipes on and off, I guess). Or they can bring out a longer snake (charge extra. they only brought a 30' snake - no different than what was already in my garage!). Or they could schedule a water jet... for almost $500. And still no guarantee it would actually DO anything.
No thanks. I'll find someone who can actually get the job done instead of making the situation worse.
