Best General Contracting in Irvine CA

MC Construction did a great job of replacing my old roof with a new energy efficient plywood & tile.  They added a few more vents and also replaced some weathered fascia boards. I want to thank Josh K. for being flexible & working with me to stay in my budget!  I would hire them again!  Possible new bathrooms in the future!

I have used a number of contractors in the past and each time have always been left a little disappointed with the experience. Not so with Dave and his crew at Smart & Handy. The entire crew was very professional, friendly, prompt and accountable.

They took the time and listened well to be sure that they knew the customer's wishes and had a keen attention to detail during the project. They left the job site clean at the end of the day and were very considerate during the entire job. The entire process was very pleasant and enjoyable, and most importantly, I felt no need to micromanage the project as I could tell the project would be completed to my specifications (also not the common experience with my previous contractor hires). Dave & his crew were also very dog friendly -- a plus since we have a lovable but protective labradoddle in the home.

I look forward to working with Smart & Handy in the future for several additional projects I have on my checklist. Thank you Smart & Handy!

Ixtapa Construction did our kitchen remodel, and not only was the work completed with craftsmanship but we were treated with caring and a truly professional touch.

Jay and Alex were great people to work with. They answered my (and husband's) many questions and were very patient and helpful. Both were very knowledgeable and communicated with us throughout the project.

We were also very pleased with the job itself. Ixtapa Construction did a great job while respecting the timeline and budget. Jay also kindly helped to fix some problems left by the previous contractors. The crew also did a great job cleaning up after everything was completed. Highly recommend!

Beware!!! I don't know if all the employees here are shady but the one I got today definitely was. Woke up this morning at 4 am to a pipe burst.. this place one of the first numbers to answer, guy on the phone seemed pleasant, he said he was going to send someone at 8:30 am, didn't arrive until 10:30, had to call off work.. that is besides the point. He quoted me over $650 plus $70 flat rate for a service fee. TO REPLACE ONE FOOT OF PVC PIPE. He was adamant this was standard rate and we would not find anything below. I got 4 quotes after that... all below! One came in at $200, another at $150, and another at $100. For same exact thing. Also after I said no he tried to bring down the price but left a really bad taste in my mouth. I think he saw my new bmw and tried to squeeze as much possible from me. Again, I saw the reviews and was in a mode just trying to get it fixed I banked on this company and the guy was shady. All in all I saved $600 (2 jobs: to replace a ball valve on a second pipe as well) by not going with these guys. Went with alpine plumbing and rooter instead. Go there instead!
