I had Cody come out to one of my jobs today, he was absolutely brilliant, he was friendly, professional, helpful and just an all round top top guy, he explained everything, why they do what they do and the reasons behind it, he was also clean and very respectful to the clients which was really appreciated especially in these crazy times. Forgot to do a review a couple of months ago, but my drains are still clear! Dylan did a great job in clearing them out, I'd have to have them done quite often with my other plumber. He also fixed my house bibs, the hard water made it impossible to remove my hose from the spicket! Great service at a great price!

Just when you think you've found a great plumbing service...We've used DC Drains 4 times now, twice in a place we rented for this past year and twice in the past week in our new home. We didn't pay the bills at the rental, but here at the new place their mark up is ridiculously high. Do they do good work, yes. Is it worth the 100% mark up, not for us. It's a shame.

It is most unfortunate that firms such as this are allowed to continue to do business and in our great country. I called them on a slab leak in the apartment complex our family has. They flaked on us twice before finally committing to a Time 3 days later. Then they didn't show and tried to extort an exorbitant amount from us when they finally did. We are a professional Property Management Group. I only write this review out of caution for fellow yelpers out of concern do to these scam artists. They truly are unprofessional, they don't show up, and they're extremely expensive for work that they do not actually perform. These are scam artists. Be aware

Had some old pipes go out this past week. Kenny from dc drains showed up right away and within the hour had everything back in action. So no more doing dishes in the bath tub for us! Thanks dc drains. / kenny!

I called DC Drains, INC (Costa Mesa) very early yesterday morning because of a clogged pipe in the kitchen.  Luckily they had an opening 90 minutes after my call. Dylan did a great job and was very professional.
(I then found out that DC Drains INC is now owned by Andersen Commercial Plumbing, LLC.)

My friend & neighbor recommended DC DRAINS & when my kitchen sink backed up after our Early Thanksgiving Feast the technician was here within 2 HOURS OF MY CALL - REMARKABLE! Gave me an estimate, fixed the problem right away & kept to his estimate. I'm grateful to find fast, reliable, efficient service people I can trust. Their phone # moved to the top of my list. What a great team! Tom and Phil showed up within 15mins of getting the call, and technically were off the clock by then. Stayed for 2 hrs working diligently to resolve the issue. When the job required more tools, they phoned the owner, Dave?, who dropped what he was doing at the shop and came to help. He was here within 10 mins of getting the call for extra help. They worked like a team, very kind, and helpful. The job was a complete success and our nightmare is now resolved. Thanks.

DC Drains is reliable and professional! I will use them for all my future plumbing needs. Kenny Jr. was my first contact and he diagnosed the issues of my soon to collapse sewer line which was clogged by some tree roots and had a puncture in the pipe that was the size of a football. What I appreciated was that he didn't talk to me like I was a dummy. He ran the camera and diagnosed the problem and showed me what he could see and gave me all the options to how to address my problems. I really appreciated how he explained everything so that we could make the best decision on how to move forward.
We had to replace a part of the sewer pipe that had the hole that also connected to the city line. I observed Kenny Jr, Julio and another worker that I didn't catch his name ( sorry! ) dig a trench by hand, about 10 feet deep, to reach the sewer line and replace it. The work was hard and it was really hot outside and they pushed through. They always left the work area clean and safe. We also decided to reline our sewer line to reinforce it since it was cracked throughout. It saved us from having to dig up  
about  40 feet of paved driveway. This is where Joe and Julio came in and completed the relining of the remaining sewer line to the house. They were trying to give us the best economical option.
Pricing was transparent and fair for the level of quality service I received.

I also called DC Drains for a second job when my renovation discovered cast iron pipes in the house that were failing. I wanted to find all the cast iron pipes in the house and replace with ABS, to avoid any problems down the road.
Kenny Jr. arrived on time and he ran the cameras down the pipes to discover which were cast iron and needed replacing. He was working alone and in the empty house and locked up after he left. I felt I could trust him to be respectful of the property and he was in every way.

I feel this is a reliable company. The quality of extensive work that was done in my house reassures me that I will no longer have any sewer line issues down road. Everyone that I worked with was professional, knowledgable and friendly. I feel that everyone was trying to do their best job. I had a great experience with this company and I am very confident to recommend them to others.

Shower Pan was leaking in my beautiful glass shower. My Dad took the information from them that the pan could not be replaced and needed a whole new shower as there was no other way to repair. A few thousand dollars later they replaced it with a smaller plastic piece of junk that is so small that every time you turn around in it your elbows hit the plastic door popping it open Pure junk. Found out later that they could have just replaced the shower pan. Totally ripped off. Every time I see one of their trucks drive by it still makes me sick to my stomach for what they did!

We needed quick service to accommodate the short notice of the arrival of extended family/guests from overseas who would be staying with us for an extended time.  We needed service and repairs to bathroom fixtures in the guest room. DC responded to our inquiry within minutes and made arrangements to promptly inspect and provide suggestions with estimates.  As promised, Jacob arrived on time and was fully prepared to professionally assess the work required, with options, and provide estimates.  He started immediately clearing a drain. The work was fast with minimal disruption and done with care and obvious attention to detail.  I followed Jacob's suggestions regarding ordering replacement fixtures which arrived late the next day.  The following day, Jacob returned early and right on time and completed the installations in a professional manner and with great results. Highly recommended.

The service call was professional and efficient. No I not sure how to fix or need need another value etc. to finish. Jason was a pro: highly recommend this company.

Been a DC Drains client for over 20 years.  Past couple weeks have reinforced why.  Craig came out on short notice and quickly repaired a leak we had in our attic, which was flooding the master bathroom.  

After the walls were removed, Cody came back and removed the remaining copper with newer plastic and tied that into the old main feeder so that it does not happen again in this area.  He was in and out in in under 2 hours.

In each case, the technicians communicate well, and offer explanations of both assessment and work plans with estimates. All work, from installing new toilets, and valves (inside and outside), to recent clearing lines, have held up and performed well (fixed our problems). Love these guys!!! Great customer service and superb work. Thank you Cody for your help and knowledge with my shower drain! I live in an apartment built in the 50s and plumbers are always challenged and take forever with this complicated plumbing system. He knew it, got it, and was out in a jiff. I will definitely be using them in the future (every 6-9 months with MY shower drain) and recommending them as well.

DC Drains goes above and beyond! A water heater install ended up having (non-plumbing related) obstacles that our plumber Jake handled beautifully. We have used DC drains many times and have always been impressed with the work as well as all of the people involved. Professional, personably and so helpful!

My wife and I have been using DC Drains for many years for all of our plumbing needs including annual snaking of our drains and installing a new water heater.  DC Drains never fails to provide excellent plumbing service.  When it was time for the big project, re-plumbing of our 1964 house, it was an easy choice to select DC Drains for the job.  Special thanks to Ian and Ismael who did the re-plumbing job the very last week of November, 2018.  Excellent work and Ismael always did a great job leaving our house clean at the end of each day's work.  DC Drains has never failed to provide us with great service at fair prices.  I highly recommend DC Drains for any type of plumbing need in OC.

I called in the morning and I had a Plummer at my house by 2pm. That is service. Cody was charming and very well spoken. He informed me of all the costs and explained my repairs to me so I could understand. I cannot be more impressed with DCdrains and Cody. Very reasonable priced and personable and knowledgeable young man. Aces for today DC Drains I will be calling again for sure !

Had a backed-up plumbing issue and DC Drains was very responsive and sent a plumber out right away.  Cody was expecially helpful in explaining my plumbing issues and would request his services again if the need arises.

I have used this plumber for several jobs in my own home and my rental.  DC Drains responds quickly, they are honest, efficient, knowledgeable and competitively priced.

Called this AM & they had somebody there at 9:30 Kenny Sr. addressed the issues & went for it. I was surprised at the ease he showed with each issue. All said and done! By the way, I appreciated the quality parts selected as I am a retired plumbing representative

I called DC Drain who by the way is also Anderson plumbing, on a Tuesday because my toilet was clogged, the tech was un-able to clear it so I purchased a new toilet which he was supposed to install on toilet the following Friday, , he did not show, because he told me I had to purchase an adapter which was not cheep I decided to hang in there with DC. I called the office and they sent out another tech, they told me it would be there head tech, they sent a rookie plumber, he took one look at the adapter and said he was not qualified, I called again and  7 days later they sent out the same plumber who stood me up several days before he installed the toilet and never even used the adapter which I could not return, collected $197 for 45 min of work and left, I woke up this morning and when I looked at the toilet I noticed he did not even bother to caulk
around the base of the toilet, so off to Home Depot for an $11 tube of caulk and the hassle of doing it myself. The silver lining is I am about the redo my kitchen and was thinking of using them, dogged that bullet, but a week of hassle and back and forth for a toilet install (COME ON!) it was exhausting DC is short for the Death of Customer service I guess.

We had a backed up patio drain so we called DC Drains to come take a look. Cody cleaned everything out and made sure that the drain was working properly. Service was efficient and there was great follow up with questions regarding billing.

We had a leak and called to make an appt and got one for the same day but when we talked to our homeowner insurance, their process took over so I had to cancel with them but what limited interaction I had with Dave over the phone was professional and prompt.

Beware!!! I don't know if all the employees here are shady but the one I got today definitely was. Woke up this morning at 4 am to a pipe burst.. this place one of the first numbers to answer, guy on the phone seemed pleasant, he said he was going to send someone at 8:30 am, didn't arrive until 10:30, had to call off work.. that is besides the point. He quoted me over $650 plus $70 flat rate for a service fee. TO REPLACE ONE FOOT OF PVC PIPE. He was adamant this was standard rate and we would not find anything below. I got 4 quotes after that... all below! One came in at $200, another at $150, and another at $100. For same exact thing. Also after I said no he tried to bring down the price but left a really bad taste in my mouth. I think he saw my new bmw and tried to squeeze as much possible from me. Again, I saw the reviews and was in a mode just trying to get it fixed I banked on this company and the guy was shady. All in all I saved $600 (2 jobs: to replace a ball valve on a second pipe as well) by not going with these guys. Went with alpine plumbing and rooter instead. Go there instead!

I was referred to DC Drains to do a remodel. They redid flooring, my kitchen and bathroom. Not only do they do plumbing but they can do general remodels too. They were professional and finished the work in good time. They also gave me a pretty good deal on the price....I would recommend them!

Great service! Arturo was our technician and he was able to solve the problem quickly. He was very professional and knowledgeable and provided great service!

Called Dave and his crew for a back yard pool deck drain issue.  Dave offered to come out within a few hours.  He showed up with his crew and took care of the issue along with cleaning out all of my drains and side yards and street.  Great service and a great price.  Thanks Dave.

Had an issue with shower and needed a new cartridge. Initial quote was $100/hour and $50 for the cartridge. It turned out that my shower required a different cartridge. Never told me the price of the different cartridge and was charge $85 for that cartridge on the invoice. I inquire why it cost so much and he said that's the cost. After he left I checked the price on Home Depot and Lowes and it was $35. The work was good but the price was high especially when I wasn't told the price for the new part.

We just had one of the easiest and fastest plumbing repair experiences. Cody from D.C. Drains came out and repaired 3 leaking toilets at our gym and was in and out of there in less than an hour.

Loved the service and interaction. The prices for parts and labor were extremely fair. Will definitely be leaning on them for any plumbing needs in the future.

I was a loyal customer of DC Drains for nearly 20 years.They were dependable and knowledgeable and reasonable.  Dave sold the company last year and everything changed. I had them come out for a drain clearing and they charged over $300 for a service that previously cost $150 or less.  Plus if I wanted a Sunday, it would have been an additional $200.

I gave them one more chance to come out and do the annual descaling of the tankless hot water heater they installed and called for an estimate.  She said they could never give estimates and it was $70 for technician to come out and review.  Last time I had them come out before it was sold, it was $175.  When they arrived, they quoted $571 plus the $70 visit fee.  I declined.

I referred them to at least 20 neighbors over the years and in my opinion, they are broken.

Anderson Commercial Plumbing, their parent company, is not doing business right.

DC Drains gave a good estimate, got the Dig Alert people out and had my gas leak fixed the next day!!  Thank you for your speedy service!!

Do NOT use. First, a plumber came and said the problem with my shower was the cartridge and charged me over $300 to replace. I came home and the whole handle fell off and the shower pressure was worse. I called the owner and he sent out a different plumber who said the first plumber did not put the knob on correctly and the issue was actually the valve but didn't really know and we would have to cut into the wall to fix it. Then a third plumber from DC Drains came and said it was actually the water heater. He said it would be $2,000 but then the owner said it would be $2,500. I called a water heater guy who replaced it for $1,500 but that didn't fix the water pressure. Finally, a new plumber identified the issue was actually the shower fixture. Wish I never wasted time and money with DC Drains. At least the owner refunded me what I initially paid.

DC Drains responded very quickly when I called. Craig was professional and mindful of the covid 19 virus. He wore a mask & gloves and chose to look for a repair option outside to avoid coming into the house. He found and fixed the problem quickly, in just about an hour.

They came super fast, and fixed everything. The guy that came here was super nice, polite, and helpful. 10/10 will use them for our plumbing go to.

I have used Dc Drains three times and finally writing a review. I called them this week after a contractor put a hole in a drain pipe (that's another story of a remodeling from Hades.). They said that they would be there in about 1.5 to 2.5 hours. They actually arrived in less than an hour. After a quick look, they gave me an estimate of the cost which was very reasonable. They had to go get some parts. When they returned, they quickly fixed the problem for the estimated cost. This has been my experience with all of my dealing with DC Drains. I would highly recommend them. They fix the problem without doing unnecessary work and for a good price. It is a professional company.

I have used D.C. Drains for a gas leak, new water heater and I've had them replace a bad part on a water heater at my new residence. They are less expensive than everywhere else I have called . They are on time and  they do good work.

Like most people we waited till it was too late to fix a leak. After many cheap handy men who couldn't get the job done right we finally decided to call a professional to fix it right! The plumber they sent out was Steven. He was very professional, honest and efficient. Would Definitely recommend this company for future plumbing needs.  Make sure to ask For STEVEN!

I called and got through to Dave fast and was given a price and time for a plumber to come out.  Unfortunately the plumbers that came out were very young and not very professional.  They had to come out again and I was charged for another visit $100.  When I called to ask about a valve in my shower that does not get hot enough(the reason for coming the first time)  Dave told me he would check his records and call me back.  He never got back to me.......I would NOT recommend them for follow up on their work.

This review is late in coming... I have used DC many, many times and always give them a big thumbs up.  A few weeks ago, we had a major plumbing problem at home. I called Dave and left a message. He called back in a matter of minutes; however, I did something I will NEVER do again... called someone else before I heard back from Dave.

First off, this other company is rated highly on Yelp. This guy (nice guy) rolls in driving an unmarked white van. I knew we were in trouble.  His equipment and expertise was minor league quality and after working on our problem for over 2 hours, he threw in the towel.

I quickly called Dave again, it was close to 9 pm now.  DC shows up just as the first guy is packing up.  He sees DC Drains roll up and says, Oh, DC is here.  They're really good, they'll take care of it.

Do yourself a favor, only call DC.

Dave was able to get a crew out to my workplace quickly.  Kenny Jr. and Yoshi addressed the issue and fixed the problem.  They went out of their way to help me get a few things moved around after my small flood.  When they were done they left  the area clean and were extremely polite. The guys did a great job, everything was smooth.  I have had a couple bad experiences with work at the house, so this was awesome.  

Over the years, I have noticed there are some companies that have a LOT of reviews and overwhelmingly positive.  One company...it was clear they are writing their own reviews.  The reviewers alway referred to a worker as Eric R.   Or Jeff M.  Really?  THAT many people know the initial of the last name of a guy fixing their drain?   Lol.  I don't think so.  

There are some companies with a higher average review.  Be wary if things sound too good.

Based on the water heater replacement, I'll use them next time I have a plumbing need.

We had both interior shower and drain issues along with some exterior challenging drain issues at our house following the 2022-23 heavy rains that were backing up with slow drainage. I found DC Drains online with high ratings and reviews.  They backed it up with a responsive call back to schedule and dispatched a service technician quickly to arrive by a little after noon.  Thristan Dominguez was a rock star with his knowledge, skills and was very nice and professionally courteous!  He was awesome getting the work done and complete!

Used them at two different locations, both times they came promptly and professionally fixed my problem.  Good company.

You can not go wrong with DC Drainer!  I am a Realtor for Keller William- Irvine and Jason, Steven, Niko and Justine were critical in assuring me to close my deal. They each individually  brought the tools, the knowledge and the experience! I will always recommend them! We called and they completed our same day request at a reasonable price! I have seen their work  and I can knowing say they do awesome work , They are fast and on time ,  I used to haul away the old water heaters aka boilers for them but for some reason  I dont know they quit calling .  But they do great work and they are always careful not to damage anything during the job . Save money and time and call DC drains

We have been using D. C. Drains for many years. They have always been good to us. They have always been friendly, professional and honest. Kenny came out and checked out our problem last week. He told us what was going on and what to expect. We needed to wait a few days to get a crew in here to get the job done. Daniel and Sam came to do the dirty work. =) All three are great guys! They are happy in their work, too. If they were my sons, I would be very proud of them.

Kenny was our man.   The flush valve replacement started out a little slow due to the age of the 40 year old toilet.   He perservered and made two trips back to their warehouse.    Time was at least 2 hours.   He was not on the clock and it was just a regular service charge and parts.   More than fair enough

After having some good experiences with DC Drains, the last one didn't go so well.  The plumbers arrived on time and ran several tests looking for a water leak, but were unable to find one.  They did their best, so no problem so far.  What I discovered after they left is that one of them damaged the bottom dishwasher cover.  Bent it severely.  I contacted the owner and sent him a photo.  He asked for details on the model, which I provided.  Never heard back.  Before this issue, I never had problems with him returning calls or text.  It's a sad decline in service.

DC Drains is Simply AMAZING, I've dealt with my fair share of service companies throughout the year and this company might be at the top with their service & professionalism. We contacted DC Drains (Steven & crew) on a Saturday night to Hydro Jet our Commercial building and they said no problem. They arrived on time, were professional throughout the whole process and got the hydro jetting done so quick and efficiently. I was impressed on how thorough they were. Their customer service was incredible as well, they had an answer to every questions I asked. We're making DC drains our primary contact for any of our plumbing issues going forward.

D. C. Drains owned by Dave & Cathy Cleveland are the best. We have used them for all of our family plumbing needs for at least 20 years and they've never let us down. Fast, efficient, professional service.
