Farryn Electric

I had multiple quotes on some electrical work and they came in at a reasonable price.  It's not the cheapest and it's not the most expensive.  I ultimately went with them because they offered the highest warranty out of all the other electrical companies (5 years on parts and labor).  They also don't charge a trip fee for their estimate as well (some companies charge 50-100 bucks that may/may not be credited to the work that is performed).  

They explained everything and answered my questions.  Work was done in a timely manner and they cleaned up.  Great work!

Farryn has been one of our go-to electricians for quite a while.   So, I was sad to hear that they've been sold to W. M. Henderson.  Getting through for an appointment took an extra step or two.  Once everything was set there were no problems

Technician arrived on time, he was polite, thorough and patient. Even wore foot coverings to protect our floors.  

I'd still call them again.

Did a good job.  Had a GF outlet installed and they replaced a circuit breaker.

Farryn Electric is too expensive.  They charged me $744 to remove 4 outlets that were in an exposed wall (not in drywall). The technician cut the cables, removed the outlets and wires, and put a junction box.

I don't blame the technician for the high price, but I blame the system that they use. The technician enters the information in an iPad and it generates a price.  The problem is that it does not allow for common sense (at least that's what I saw, when the technician entered the information). For example they charged me for what they called Circuit Demolition-Stage One, which by their definition Electrical demolition is not just taking a pair of wire cutters, and this is exactly what they did. They cut the wires and remove the outlets that were exposed because they were in an unfinished basement. They did not remove the breaker.

My recommendation for Farryn electric is to create a demolition option for the times that opening walls and tracing cables is not required. Because this job was much simpler than opening walls and removing the breaker, it should have cost a lot less. The only reason I went for it, is because my wife wanted the outlets removed immediately.

On a positive note, the technician was very friendly.

Replaced my circuit breaker in the basement and reconnected my house to the power line after water damage. They came fast and were very professional. I had an excellent experience and will use them for all future work.

Wow these guys were great! Contacted me within 30 minutes of my email. Gave me a fair and reasonable quote. Were at my house within three hours of my email and did an excellent job. The minute the guys arrived they each put on booties to protect my floors. What a huge plus! They were clean quiet and even took away the wrapping and box from my new light fixture without me even asking. Can't say enough about Farryn! Definitely will use again and again and again!!

Dan and his team are great to work with. Eric is a great technician and John in the office was very responsive. Highly recommended.

Farryn came over to install an last minute outlet. We had just gotten a new stove and converted to gas the day before when we realized we needed a new outlet for the kitchen. They came over the very next day and got us hooked up. They provided excellent service and great communication. Dan followed up with us and made sure everything worked out ok and that we were good to go with the new setup. We would recommend them for any project and we will be calling them for any of our future electrical work.

Knowledgeable, reasonably priced, honest, teachers. They do the opposite of taking advantage of you, they empower you. I had a guy over for 2 issues and after fully researching, he gave me quotes but also DIY instructions for my handy husband. Also checked my wiring which was above and beyond. Didn't charge a dime after an hour visit. Their approach is just what you'd hope for in a neighborhood repair person. They definitely earned my trust and will be the first place I call in the future.

Matt from Farryn came out today and did an amazing job!  He explained exactly what he was going to do and exactly what it would cost and there were no surprises.  I highly recommend them and will use them again.

On time and job well done. They charge per needed and requested repair/improvement and I spent over $750 to basically run a new line from basement breaker box to location of first floor powder room ceiling light fixture. The additional quoted cost of attaching the ceiling light fixture ($170) I declined and completed in 15 minutes. Thought that simple task could have been thrown in.

This is an update to my previous review. Dan the owner responded to my first comment with true sincerity. We spoke on the phone and apparently there was a miscommunication. Dan offered a fair refund which I accepted. 5 stars now because anyone who is as dedicated as Dan of Farryn electric, to customer satisfaction is a 5 star company IMO! For future electric needs I will be calling Farryn.

Charges for estimate.  For a $2000 job, they wanted $77 just to come out for an estimate.  They said that they want to do the job the same day and won't charge for estimate if they can start work on the spot.

A few weeks ago, I lost power to one of our bedrooms, hallway light, ceiling fan, bathroom lights, and several outlets. Usually, I do all of my DIY electrical work, but this problem totally baffled me. Everything seemed to be fed by one circuit breaker, but nothing listed above was receiving power except the range in the kitchen. I replaced about 6 or seven switches and outlets thinking one of them was the culprit. Nope, that wasn't it. So, I gave Farryn a call based on all their good reviews. Two technicians came to the house the day after my call. They try to diagnose the problem for close to two hours but with no luck. They said that the owner of Farryn (Dan) would come over the following day, which he did, bright and early. He discovered that most of the outlet boxes were a rat's nest of many hot wires and many neutrals. He had to determine which ones powered which items that were without power. Finally, he discovered that one of the neutrals was the culprit and set about repairing it. He ran a new wire from a known good outlet to the offending switch which allowed the current to flow again. Then, he disabled the bad wire which for whatever reason broke over the years. So, after approximately a day and a half, everything was back to normal!  Dan, and the other two technicians were a pleasure to work with. They were extremely courteous, knew their stuff, and showed much respect to my family members and even my pets! They wore booties while in the house and left their work spaces spotless before leaving. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful experience with Farryn electric. They quickly helped figure out my lighting issue, were prompt, clean and respectful.  They were easy to reach and overall great.  I will call them again without hesitation.

Thank you to Farryn Electric and especially to Cresson Green, the electrician they sent to my home!  Professional, friendly, knowledgable, personable!  Cresson was GREAT.  Fast worker.  Neat and tidy.  He was able to complete my electric job without me having to repaint my ceiling!  I was so happy about that and I am so grateful for his work!!!  Very fair pricing and so easy too work with the scheduler.  Thank you, Farryn Electric!

Farryn Electric has bailed me out after a storm knocked down electrical wires and has helped me with repairs and adjustments to ready my home for sale.  They are reliable, dependable, responsive, fairly priced, and involved in the community.  I will use them again over and over for all my electrical needs.  Highly recommended.  A++++++

Mr. Patel came on time, was efficient and even tried to educate me on what he was doing. I had the wrong model of the Nest, and he very kindly sent me a price comparison of alternatives after he left.  I'll certainly use Farryn again!

We had Farryn complete 2 jobs for us.  We were quite pleased with their work.  We will defiantly use them again for any future jobs.
