After PLUMB GENIUS didn't show for our 10-2 appt today, didn't answer their phones, and their voicemail was full, I called Roto Rooter for the clogged line we have that's effecting the whole house. We can't shower or flush at this point so it's an emergency. As a previous customer, I've been happy with their work in the past--quick, efficient, cost-friendly! Perfect!!

I scheduled today for a 3-5pm window, which they confirmed, fyi, via email AND text. The email and text said I'd be contacted when the tech was ON THE WAY. It did not say if I don't answer the phone I'm out of luck. Just that they'd call when they were headed this way.

I saw a missed call from them a few min before 5, called back and was told now that it's after 5pm, I'm going to be charged the after hours rate which is not on their website when you choose your time frame fyi. (A window from 5-7pm was listed as available, but no indication you'd be charged extra if you chose that time frame. I actually--stupidly--thought so nice to see a business with extended hours to accommodate working people!)

Carley, the dispatcher, threatened to hang up on me when I mentioned how they're completely fucking me over, and she took offense. I imagine that's not the first she heard that today given their shady business practices.

She then told me it was my own fault for not answering before 5. I was working. If the email had said make sure to answer the phone or we're going to charge you twice the rate you expected, I surely would have kept the ringer on. I definitely would have called them myself well before 5pm if I was aware of the severe financial penalty.

When asked for her boss' name and number she said she'd have them call me. When I asked for the direct number, she stated she wasn't allowed to give out that information. In what legitimate business are you not allowed to give out the office manager's direct number??

When I asked her for the technician's name who was coming over, she hung up on me.

When I called back she told me she said his name? But I didn't hear it and I sure didn't hear bye! before being hung up on. She argued with me of course and told me the calls are recorded.

They emailed me the confirmation, and texted me. So, surely they also could have texted or emailed to let me know I was going to be charged double if I didn't get right back to them, but then they wouldn't get to screw me out of $350.

I used to be impressed with this business. Like I said, I've used them before. No longer. Don't call unless you want to be totally fucked over. But when in dire straights, choices are limited.

The technician, Nathan, was nice, knowledgeable, and worked hard to resolve the issue. I won't blame him for the deceptive business practices of his employer. He was able to assess the situation and create a workable solution for the time being. It looks as though our pipe may need replaced (it's cast iron likely from when the house was built, rather than PVC), but the emergency has been resolved. He was also able to give me an ultimate rate I was satisfied with given the amount of work he'd done, which was SIGNIFICANTLY better than Carley quoted me. For him, I am grateful.

Cost $ 260.00
I refused to pay he discount $ 100.00
Stay away from them.
Cheaper to call someone else, or do it you're self.
They have license to still.

My company has employed Roto-Rooter for at least 6 years.

I own multiple rental properties.

On November 3rd, my property manager called Roto-Rooter to ask for an estimate for a gas pressure test.

On November 8th, we received a bill charging us $ 5469.77.

When my property manager called to protest, they said that they had an approval on tape.

They told me the same thing; they never produced the tape.

The invoice shows that my tenant approved the pressure test and gas line repair.

Not one of my tenants is authorized to approve work.

On January 3rd, a process server dropped off an affidavit with a court date to sue for non-payment.

They did not call to discuss this excessive charge, they chose to file a mechanic's lien and sue for non-payment.

A check for payment was mailed on January 3rd. I did not approve the payment.

When one of my partners called to protest ; they demanded an additional $273 in court costs to dismiss the case.

Their unauthorized outrageous charges of $5743.00 should be refunded immediately.

Came out to fix my plumbing on a weekend. They barely looked around my property, said I did NOT have a clean out (I do in the backyard). They then went through the roof and did only 85ft when it takes150ft to get to the sewer line on the property. After this they cleaned out the drains in bathroom, leaving a HUGE mess behind. They fixed absolutely nothing, charged me $500, and left gunk flooding out of shower drain, tub drain other drains.

I was quoted $199 for 1 hour. Simple job, snaking lines.  They were finished in 25 minutes. Then I was told of an addition $100 charge for using the junior machine. They are a large National company that fall back on legalese and parsing to bump the quote, and are only interested in inflating margins. Who want to get into language arguments with a plumber?

Hire a local plumber that is hourly or hourly plus mobilization. These jokers are full of it.

On 11/22/22 my mainline was clogged. This is not the first time, the last time I called a local plumber and they were able to clear it fairly quickly through the roof vent, unfortunately, that plumber was busy so I called Roto-Rooter. RR sent 3 techs out. They ran a snake about ten feet into the vent and got it stuck. I was present and I saw it suddenly and violently broke loose. They tried a couple more times and then said they can only do it if they install a clean out. I, of course, said if I am going to install a clean out I am not going to go with the first person that tries to strong-arm me into it. I then called the other plumber back and they were able to get a team out to me. That team quickly found the broken joint (about 10 feet down the vent). Instead of trying to con me into a $3k-$4K like Roto-Rooter, they went to work, fixed the joint, and snaked the mainline, clearing it in about an hour. Roto-Rooter wants me to pay almost $500 for nothing but likely damaging my system, the other plumber only charged me just over $500 for fixing the damage and clearing the line successfully. BTW, the other plumber came back the next week and installed a clean-out for $600 flat.

Worst service experience ever. They have zero communication skills and the worst professional  behavior I've ever ran across. Started with a gas leak then a gas repipe then it was my yard line and they are done.. mind you the didn't even put a kickout on the outside of the house so the gas company can tie into. THAT IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO GET WITH THE GAS COMPANY HAVE THEM put a new yard line and meter in. Ok I did that they had to
send another company out here to finish there job and put the kickout for the meter to tie into that they didn't do, call an inspection like they where supposed to.5900 dollar later the gas company tells me I still have a leak and won't turn the gas back on. So I call roto-rooter back out to address the problem. They send guys back out of the kindness of their hearts because according to them the works completed .  Even though the gas company will not turn my gas back due to a leak. Anyways so they send 3 trucks out here after I told the office it's a leak and what the gas company told me. so lot of wasted man power. Then they came unprepared with 3 trucks just to then leave to go get stuff they needed. I hour later their back! sir can you cut of the hot water tank and range. Sure thing I said get to my range and stove it not even hooked up after they blew out a hole the other side of the wall. So I ask after about another 45 min when they came and tell me it's fixed. I asked are they going to hook the range up they said thats not part of there job and they need to be paid. Mind you my range isn't hooked up and the gas company won't turn my gas on due to a leak. So I call to talk to the manager apparently they like to pretend there not in the office lisen to the call you had with the secretary then call back and threaten you with sueing you after I told him the whole experience and the gas company wouldn't turn on my gas due to there work.

Awful customer service. Had an appointment for Friday after 1:00. Never showed up, never called. They said they sent me a text message saying they had run out of time and moved me to Monday but the only message I ever received was a text confirming my appointment for Friday after 1:00. They can put me on the books for tomorrow and possibly come out today but I would be charged the full weekend rate. Are you kidding me? I made this appointment on Tuesday. I purposely waited till then so I wouldn't have to pay the weekend or holiday rates.

Well... I believe my drain problem wasn't correctly diagnosed from the beginning. He was very confident with his plan to fix my drain. I pay 3600.00 for repairs, that may or may not have needed to be done. When he finished what he thought was the problem was he was dazed and confused.  When he asked to be paid, I said I would be happy to pay when he fixes the problem. He told me I had to get someone smaller to get get under the house and fix it....and if i didn't pay him right then he would put a lien on my house. He refused to give me his boss/owner's phone number. Learned a lesson for sure. Need to read reviews and go with someone with a trusted referral.

The Plumber moved gas line for new slide in gas range for customer. Plumber went to get a part in MWC returned 1 he 45 minutes later.

I was not given a senior discount in addition charged for time it took to go get part.  This job took 30 minutes but I was charged 2 hrs plus installation of new pipe fittings.  Also cut a large hole in wall which was NOT needed and left a BIG MESS.  1/2019

Where do I start other than I should have looked at all the bad reviews this company has before I called them out.   Had a small faucet leak on a Saturday. ..... waited several hours...... then a poorly  qualified or maybe just lazy?  plumber comes out only to tell me the job is going to be very costly and it won't be worth it for me to hire them and to try and fix the leak myself..... the guy didn't even bother to examine the faucet ...... cost me $80 for that piece of advice.  Very professional?  Never using this company and wouldn't advise you too either.....

I was quoted 139.00 over the phone but it cost me 168. and that included about 30.00 for mileage Add on charges to inflate the price.  They neglected to tell me those charges until Finished, we have an Edmond Address and it was a routine clogged main line. As far as I am concerned they are unethical and dishonest.  Avoid them if possible.

The first guy's machine broke down and they had to send another.  I believe they are soaking me because of that.

Edit:  Responding to the owners reply on Google.  30.00 for a claimed 8 miles over is not nominal.  I was not in any way told I was outside of your limited area and in fact on your web page it states Edmond.  I was not told a mileage charge even existed.  It's good business to tell customers if they are outside of your limited area and it will cost more.  Otherwise you are a slimeball outfit waiting to mention it AFTER the work.

Obviously this is how he has his company set up.  Stay away from franchise McPlumber business.

After charging almost $500 to fix a clog in our toilets,  they now want us to pay for a clog in our sink that they actually created. I'm livid. God forbid you're not exactly highly articulate and able to explain yourself using all the industry jargon, because they'll definitely have someone call you to speak circles around you just to explain that the problem they created will be paid for out of your pockets. The use of the power snake on every drain in the house surely isn't a problem. And to top it off, they left sludge everywhere and used gloves in our driveway. This is what I get for using a big corporate company. A smaller company would offer to fix their mistakes because their business relies on it. Shame on me.

Called a guy up for a backup sewer into my tub.. told the guy on the phone what was going on.  Sent a guy down.. looked around and told me that he needed to bring back a guy to get back on the roof the next day.  Charged me 65 bucks for a 5 minute conversation.

Next day guys come up, cleaned out my pipes but got their tools stuck in my pipes SOME PLACE.  The guys used all our good towels to clean up the sewage they decided to pump through our bathrooom.  They said they would call in a camera guy and get some tools, walked out to their car to offer them a drink and they were on FACETIME and FACEBOOK on my DIME.  Guys went to go get their tools.. came back and packed up telling me that the camera guy would be here the next day, charged me 410 bucks.  Still could not use my plumbing.

Guys came down the next day, were more professional.  Found where the tools were and told me it would be an additional 900 dollars if they had to dig, estimated that it be 3 hours worth of digging time... told them to go and I would do the digging.. CHARGED ME 435 more dollars.

Took me and my sick girlfriend about an hour to dig up the spot they wanted.. called up asap and had a guy come down at 5pm to tell me it would be MORE MONEY because its after business hours.  Was going to charge me 65 but I told him I refused to pay him for coming up here..

Horrible company, rips you off and tries to get as much money as possible from you.  They drained well over 900 bucks from me and has not EVEN BOTHERED TO SOLVE MY PLUMBING PROBLEMS.

Do not go with these guys, they will -try- to mooch as much money as possible from you.

***BEWARE***

Please do not make the same mistake I and apparently the 4 other people who have been scammed by this company!!!!

They will quote you a price and then when they get to your residence they do additional services without letting you know  how much more it will cost ( mine was $248).

They were at our residence twice and assured me they cleared the clog.  I paid over $500 for both visits.  My plumbing was still not fixed.

My dad (who is in his 70s) and myself crawled under the house, found the clog, and fixed it ourselves!!!!

Not only will they not refund our money, they refuse to even talk to me to try and make it right.

So please BEWARE of this company and don't let them scam you!  Find someone that actually cares about their customers and customer service.  All this company cares about is how much money they can scam out of people!

What follows is a text of a letter I wrote to the Better Business Bureau about a subsidiary of this OKC Roto Rooter, Roto Rooter of Norman. These people are terrible to deal with.

I am writing to you today to lodge a complaint against Roto-Rooter of Norman, OK. I have been utterly mortified at the treatment I've received at their hands. A resident of this city for ten years, I called on them today to effect a couple of plumbing repairs in my house, to wit: a clogged shower in one bathroom and a running toilet in the other bathroom.  I was not here when the technician arrived, but he explained to me that his charge was $124/hour + parts. Earlier he had told my wife that both jobs would take less than an hour.

A hair ball removal corrected the clogged shower. That took about ten minutes. He had to go out for parts to basically rebuild the innards of the toilet that was running. There is a plumbing supply place about 2 miles from my house on Hwy 9 W & 24th in Norman. The technician took 50 minutes to return with the parts--he did not go to where we suggested, he said--and about 10 minutes to fix the toilet.

Then he presented me with a bill--on a tablet screen, not on paper--for $306. I requested an itemized receipt for the parts and a written receipt for the work and was informed that it would be emailed the bill after I paid it. This was not satisfactory to me; I wanted to see what parts were purchased and what they cost, not to mention the charges for the work.  I have never heard of being unable to receive a written invoice for work or a bona fide receipt for purchased parts. So I refused to pay the bill until I could be provided the documents I requested. Thereupon I was forced to endure rude argument from this technician for about ten minutes after repeatedly telling him I did not intend to argue. Eventually I asked him to leave my property.

That's chapter 1. It gets worse. I immediately called Roto Rooter of Norman and requested to speak with a supervisor about this and subsequently spoke with a man named Dan. No further information on his name was forthcoming. I will make a long story short. I was totally rebuffed in any attempt I made to explain my position on the propriety of a written receipt. I was repeatedly told that I had to pay the bill first. This man raised his voice to me more than several times, would not let me speak, raised irrelevant matters about what I do for a living, told me that my bill was now over $400, that I would be charged for another hour of his technician's time. I thought this was ludicrous and wondered to myself just how anyone could behave so irresponsibly. I repeatedly emphasized that I was not trying to get out of paying the bill, that I would be happy to pay it when I had an itemized invoice. Instead I was told several times rudely and in an elevated tone that I was attempting to get out of paying the bill at all. At least twice I was threatened with being turned over to a collector. I offered to pay a substantial sum of good faith money to the company pending receipt of the documents I am requesting. This offer too was rudely rejected with derisive laughter, and again with the implication that I was trying to get out of paying the company altogether.

I have since received a bill for $415.43 via email. It is not itemized and contains no copy of receipt for parts. The bill is accompanied by a fanciful narrative of the events by the original technician, one Todd R.

This is outrageous. I have never been so abused by a business in all my life. I have never ever been spoken to in such a discourteous manner by someone supposedly holding a responsible position with a responsible company. My credit rating going back 40+ years is exemplary. I served for 25 years as an ordained clergyman (deacon) in the Catholic Church. I am prepared to present as many character witnesses as necessary to attest to my honesty and truthfulness. And I'm prepared, since I have been threatened, to defend myself legally should that become necessary.

That I should find it necessary to contact you over such a seemingly trivial matter as this is indeed indicative of the state we have gotten to in this country: where a supposedly reputable business can treat a customer so shabbily with the expectation of complete impunity. Rest assured that I will make it known to my many friends and associates just exactly what they can expect if they have the misfortune to do business with Roto Rooter of Norman. I trust that you will take the necessary action to forestall any such embarrassment and stress to their future unsuspecting customers as well.

This company need some ethical trainings. I used them 3 times within a month, all they did is come out here clean one single drain, and next time go to another one, how easy is to make cash like that!! I offered to hire a camera to check out what the problem was, they said not needed. The girl working as dispatcher yelled at me asking for credit card numbers. I said I last time I paid you was 3 days ago, can I speak to a manager? She said the manager is not here, we need your credit card before we do anything else. I said I don't like your attitude, let me speak to somebody else. She said let me have your credit card number first before you do so.
It's crystal clear that this is a unethical and greedy business.

I had a major sewer backup in my home and after a previous plumber failed to clear the line, I called out Roto-Rooter. A Roto-Rooter tech claimed to have cleared the line but only pushed it further up under the house in the main line. He charged me $185 and tricked me into purchasing Roto Rooter chemicals for $40 dollars and left. A couple of hours later on the same day, I had rotten sewer water coming out of every drain and toliet.  It was at that point I remembered that I had confused Roto-Rooter with Mr. Rooter.  Mr. Rooter of OKC is the best company in the city as far as I can tell.  The service tech came out and did what no other serviceman has ever done in 20 years of owning the house. Found the cleanout trap that had been apparently buried by the previous owners.  He cleared the main sewer line and raised the cleanout trap above ground level so that it would never be buried again.  I am never going to hire ROTO-rooter again!!

We called Roto Rooter when our local plumber said he didn't have the equipment to help unclog our kitchen lines. I was nervous about them with all the bad reviews. Our experience was very good with them. Within 45 minutes they had someone at our house. The young man was very courteous and got the job done. We will definitely be using them for any future issues.

Worst experience I've ever had. I was price gouged, Paid over 11,000 dollars and they didn't finish the job. They replaced pipe on the sewer line, said they were finished with the job and wouldn't be back, that the dirt mover would finish. I seen trash and called the company and the plumber changed up the story saying we'll be back with the dirt mover, we aren't done yet. I called the local office trying to get ahold of someone, called corporate and was told they would notify the local office and was left in the dark. Was so aggravated with the company, when they did come back I told them to leave and make sure someone calls me before they show up unannounced. Needless to say, I spent all weekend shoveling dirt back into a 75 ft long and 3 ft. Deep hole in my back yard. Unprofessional people whom never followed CDC guideline rules, smoked on the job and threw butts all over the yard, also had an unknown man on my property and did some weird money exchange and he left right after. I CANNOT stress this enough, use anyone but these people. I trusted the name and got screwed.

They have the funding for nice equipment and are pretty smooth talkers, but they try to force a ton of products on you, they are paid by the job, not hour (which means you get as fast a service as you can, but lose quality), and are just overall doesn't feel comfortable working with them. Would much rather a smaller business who cares about their customers.

Today my regular plumber returned from a trip so he was able to come to my home and do (for $130) what Roto-Rooter was unable to do (for $220) three days ago. Roto-Rooter charged much more that my regular plumber while failing to fix the problem. I only wish that my plumber had been in town three days ago (not his fault). I would have saved $220, my peace of mind, and the expense of having to leave my home for three nights due to the plumbing problems that persisted after the Roto-Rooter man left.

Called them Thursday for a leaky P-trap that I had tightened numerous times and replaced. They told me that I just couldn't tighten it correctly. Well, here we are two short days later with the same exact leak. (Guess they couldn't tighten it correctly either. ) They couldn't get anyone out today to fix what they didn't because their plumber on call said he didn't have any parts on him. This is not a 24 hour service nor are they true diagnostic plumbers. Thanks for less than nothing. I'll go with a non-franchised plumber from now on.

The guy they sent out was knowledgeable. It took him 5 minutes to fix the problem and then he handed me a bill for $201. I was shocked. I called and apparently they charge a flat $194 for evenings or weekends. I called in the afternoon but they didn't show up until 7:30pm. After talking with management they agreed that there was an error and I should have been charged the day rate since I called during the day. They refunded me the overcharge and I think that is great for a company to step up and do the right thing. It totally changes my view of the company and I would use them again.

Needed a snaking & other things broke following the snaking (not Plumber's fault). However, horrible communication and customer service regarding original plumbing problem. Will never be using this company again, had my water main in garage struck and needed it repaired quickly.  This is an easy 30 minute job, they send out 2 technicians so they can charge for twice the time when only 1 is needed for the repair.  They come out, with no parts or tools to fix the problem, looked at it and then proceeded to take 1 hour to drive a round trip of 8 miles to buy the supplies needed (With 2 people, so that cost $220 to drive 8 MILES).  When they finished the job, which took the 30 min it should, they cut us a
deal by knocking $80 off the bill only after we complained to the manager. They also charged $150 for using a tool, this to me seems as ludicrous as a carpenter charging you for using a hammer or saw.  This is one of the most poorly run, greedy, and unethical companies I have ever dealt with.  They took full advantage of me needing the job done quickly and double dipped with 2 technicians.

So let me tell you the real truth behind this business. Let's start with the techs in the field. The ones who are not a licensed journeymen (which is everyone but 5 plumbers) are out through a 30 day ride along training program and then are considered as skillful as us with 4+ years of well rounded plumbing experience. These techs are then thrown in a van and are forced to work 60+ hours a week and get hounded if they take a lunch break. These inexperienced helpers come to your house and will charge you whatever they want for a job, and if you're lucky that's all they will do. The majority of these guys will up sell you on some kind of plumbing job that you don't really need, and it will be done by an unlicensed apprentice. The vans and drain machines are company provided and you get a gas card, but this gas card you fill your van up with is deducted out of your paycheck by a percentage of the cost to fill their van up with. They also provide you with a company phone and tablet, but they charge you a percentage of their bill on every paycheck. If you get a call back (which is warranty work) they will pull your pay on that job and you will never be compensated for the work you did that day. When you are not running calls and slaving away for a very small percentage of their flare rates (which they deduct $10 off of right away) you will be sitting at home making not even minimum wage. Well actually you make $0.00 if you don't do any jobs. The field supervisor has never been a plumber and his only plumbing experience is what he hears from the guys in the field. The franchise owner has an engineering degree and was only in a van for 1 entire year (which is not even enough to get a journeyman license, let alone an idea of how plumbing works), and makes plumbers do repairs not even close to code. I actually have a picture of a couple of jobs I did by the way he wanted to do it. I'm sure you get the gist of the experience you are receiving now. So let's move onto what happens if you quit or get fired. The first thing that happens is they will come get their van unannounced and not allow you to get any of your personal belongings out of it, including thousands of dollars of personal tools. The next thing you will notice is that your final check will be $0.01 if your lucky you may get a couple of hundred, even though you sold over $8k worth of repairs for the greedy business owner. Any thing that you got from the supply house for safety or your van that you were unable to charge to the customer will be deducted. Your check stubs will make no sense at all and you'll need a financial advisor to decrypt it for you, because everything is done in house. Needless to say OKC there are plenty of local plumbers to choose from that will come to your house and do an outstanding job for a reasonable price. There is also a ton of other companies in the metro to work for, so don't let these greedy bottom feeders sell you into a slave ship with them.

I called Roto-rooter because I have tree roots growing in my French drain and wanted to see if that was something they could help with.  After double-checking, the person on the phone said yes, they could help, and asked if I would like to have someone sent out today.  I was thrilled they could get someone out so quickly and said 'yes'.  A very nice man showed up, opened they drain covers, reached his hand in, pulled out some roots and dirt.  He then went to the other drain cover and took it off, then we ran a hose to see if any water would come out at the first cover.  None did.  So, we took the hose and ran it through the first cover to see if any water would come out at the street.  None did.  He said that it looked like I had tree roots blocking the pipes and suggested I call Roto-Rooter to have them send someone with a camera out to look at the problem.  Then he charged me $111.

This complaint is not about the person they sent out, who obviously wasn't told what the problem was, but I suppose was trying to follow whatever guidelines he was given.  The complaint is that I was charged $111 to be told that I had tree roots blocking my pipes, which is what I said to them when they called in.  At this point, I am wishing I had called them before I wrote the check because I have a feeling that is $111 I will never see again.

If it were possible to give lower than one star, I would.

Roto - Rooter 3120 S Ann Arbor Ave OKC. They installed a water heater and the rep installed the water shut off on the wrong side of supply line. This error wasn't noticed during the inspectors visit either!  My point is that I called the company over a week ago and was told that a supervisor would contact me on Monday. When I called the woman seemed to be in a rush and stated all supervisors were gone for the day. Ironic for a company that gives 24 hour service. Terrible customer service, they will not get any repeat business or recommendations.

We called Roto Rooter out regarding a water line leak in the front yard.  They came out and fixed the leak.  However, a few weeks later, a new leak emerged near the repaired area.  Since the new leak was out of the 30 day warranty period, I was scared that I would be facing another expensive repair.  But, Dan (mgr) and his assistant (Derrick) fixed the leak at no cost and was extremely nice and professional.

The plumbing in my house was acting up, bathtub backing up when the sink would be turned on. Obviously I needed a plumber and called Roto-Rooter.

Big mistake!! I called Sunday evening Dec 29th to inquire about sending a plumber first thing the next morning. I told the lady I'm not in state right now and have someone house sitting so they'll be the ones to meet the plumber, not me. She said that was fine, gave her the address, and she said they'll call first thing in the morning to tell me when the tech would be out.

Next morning comes around, no call. It was about noon when she called to say the tech is on his way out, he'll call when he gets there. Two hours passed before I got a call. He said he had been there trying from inside to unclog the drains with what equipment he had, but needed to know where the outside drain vent was. I gave him my family member's number, because my family member sold me the house and knew how to give a more accurate description than I could. I spoke with the family member to confirm that the tech called, and he said yes.

Two more hours pass, so I called to see if any progress was made. The guy answered his phone and said he couldn't find it (I don't think he bothered looking because the drain vent is hard to miss), so he got on the roof and tried to unclog, but couldn't. He said he had called a second guy to come help. I was a little angry because obviously that was going to cost even more money and he didn't even bother discussing it with me before calling the guy! Over double what I was told the amount would be when I spoke with their receptionist. I told him he needed to consult with me before he spends more of my money, but that was fine that the second guy was coming to help.

Two more hours pass...so I called my house sitter to see if the tech was still there. They said No he left awhile ago, said two other people were coming though. No one had been at the house for an hour and a half. So I called the tech, and when I asked him what was going on with the plumbing he said I don't know, call the main office.

So I called the main office, obviously angry. I told the young lady to cancel the two guys coming to the house, told her the above story, and that they may not contact me again. She was nice and agreed that he was unprofessional and would let his supervisor know.  I'm keeping a close eye on my bank account, however, because they had to have my card number in order to come out, since I (the homeowner) wouldn't be there since I'm 1500 miles away.

Today (Dec 31), my family member called another plumbing company (Mr Rooter). When my family member got to the house, he discovered that Roto Rooter's tech made the problem worse. Only one bathroom was clogged before he started...and now both bathrooms were completely clogged up. So Roto Rooter spent 3 hours at my house making matters worse...and when Mr Rooter showed up, he had it fixed within 30 minutes for $75 less than what Roto Rooter wanted and with only one guy.

Long story short, never use Roto Rooter!!

I called, Roto-Rooter, to have my drains snaked. They came out and did half the job. Not being a plumber myself I had no way of checking their work. When my sinks still were backing up, the very next day, I called back to ask them to come and finish. Easy enough request, right? I talk to 2 associates and then finally a manager that tells me since last night was last nights call, and today is a new call if we send a technitian to your house you will have to pay the same $111 again. RIDICULOUS!!! Do the job right the first time and you wouldn't even have to deal with the problem in the first place. Poor customer service in a customer service business equals a crapy business. I called Metro Rooter 405-406-0116. They came out in 30 minutes had the problem taken care of and did it all for $60. Now that's the way to take care of your customers!!!
