I am writing this review because of my experience with technician Daniel W. Let me start by saying: Give this man a raise &/or a promotion!! I cannot say enough good things about him.

After an entire year of renovations, repairs and inspections we finally were able to rent our house. On the very day our tenant was moving in (the weekend no less) she notified me that the toilet was not working and there seemed to be a clog. I called the first result for emergency plumbers and didn't think twice until after the service was initiated. I got very nervous when I went back and read reviews. So when Daniel called me to let me know the situation was a little more complicated than anticipated, I told him my concerns (we had some bad experiences while renovating and are a little jaded). Something about the way he explained things to me put me at ease.

I decided to trust him and his expertise and I'm glad I did. His assessment of the situation was spot on and he finished the job quickly and without trying to shake me down for more money. He also took the time to explain in detail what might have caused it and what we could do to prevent it happening again.

I can only speak for my experience but it was a positive one. Daniel was knowledgeable, honest, understanding and patient with my questions. I won't hesitate to use this company again.

My company has employed Roto-Rooter for at least 6 years.

I own multiple rental properties.

On November 3rd, my property manager called Roto-Rooter to ask for an estimate for a gas pressure test.

On November 8th, we received a bill charging us $ 5469.77.

When my property manager called to protest, they said that they had an approval on tape.

They told me the same thing; they never produced the tape.

The invoice shows that my tenant approved the pressure test and gas line repair.

Not one of my tenants is authorized to approve work.

On January 3rd, a process server dropped off an affidavit with a court date to sue for non-payment.

They did not call to discuss this excessive charge, they chose to file a mechanic's lien and sue for non-payment.

A check for payment was mailed on January 3rd. I did not approve the payment.

When one of my partners called to protest ; they demanded an additional $273 in court costs to dismiss the case.

Their unauthorized outrageous charges of $5743.00 should be refunded immediately.

I called Roto-rooter because I thought I may have a clog and they're normally fast.  The technician was nice and friendly and said they couldn't find a clog. He suggested they camera scope my lines.  The end result was an estimate to replace 80 feet of my main sewer line due to roots for an estimated $28,000.  I asked for the video and pictures so I could review and decide what to do.  Roto rooter lost the footage and after several calls, they found them.  In the meantime we could not use our shower, toilet or sink.  I had another plumbing company come (FIXIT Plumbing) and within 20 minutes found a clogged pipe!  I watched him via video unclog the drain and now my shower, toilet and sink are working. Do NOT use roto rooter.  I paid over $600 for nothing except an estimate of $28,000 for a much bigger problem that wouldn't have 100% fixed my issue.  I'm beyond upset and can't believe I was charged for the bogus work.  I'm disappointed that I used what I thought was a reputable company.  I was wrong.

0 stars isn't an option, so 1 star it is.

I called for service at one of my Airbnb properties & was given a 45 minute window of arrival. Zane arrived at 57 minutes (not a big deal). I missed a call from Roto Rooter that the plumber was there at 5:40pm. I called right back at 5:41pm and was then told that I missed my window and Zane was gone. I was still going to get charged and if I wanted to go ahead and schedule an after hours service call (which comes at the after hours cost), I could.

Pissed off is an understatement for how I felt. The Supervisor called me and said that we were notified when Zane arrived (remember that call I missed by 1 minute) & continued to call me a liar and manipulated the entire situation to where this was now my fault and would still have to pay for the plumber going out.

I don't know everything, but I sure the hell know this is NOT how you run a business and this is NOT how you treat people!!

Tell all your friends....DO NOT use this piece of shit scamming company!!!

$160 Service charge to give outrageous price quote. Did not hire them to do the job. Do not call them unless you are prepared to pay the $160 service charge.

A small piece came off the water heater and a knowledgeable neighbor was kind enough to shut off the water and give me the part to be re-attached with the fact it was a small 30 minute repair. Zane replaced the part and said they could not get the pilot light to light. I needed a new tank, pipes, vent and the works. Verbal estimate (no written) of $4,200.00. Since it worked fine yesterday I decided to consult my neighbor on the price. First try the neighbor got the pilot light lit and it worked fine! A new tank costs about $600 at Home Depot and googling the repair is about $600 labor or less. It costed me nothing to just relight the pilot so I guess they are just greedy scammers up selling a woman. I can't post a minus. BEWARE!!!!

Arrogant bunch of ripoff artists.  They did a service for me I didn't request.  they have no written or oral authorization from me yet insist I owe them money. Now they are filing a lawsuit. It's my word vs the tech. Guess the customer is always right doesn't matter with these a-holes.

We found out through our town reading our meter that we had a water leak. We called Roto Rooter they came out said we only had a hot water leak and then charged us $3200 to fix it. We find out a week later from a report the city we live in gave us that the leak was still there the day after Roto Rooter spent 12 hours saying they fixed it, so basically they did not find the other leak when they were here working on our home. We called and now Roto Rooter says no it's a new leak and we will have to charge you more to fix it! Wow really you didn't find all the leaks we had, they didn't read our meter and now they are saying they are not responsible! I have never experienced anything like this, my husband spoke with their Operations Manager and he didn't care one bit! Do Not use this business, they will not make things right at all! We will be using another plumber from now on. So sad that this company is dishonest!
