ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

Bob arrived in Oklahoma from Iowa in 1973. He began his lifelong career as an electrician in Norman, Oklahoma. Bob obtained his Journeyman Electricians License in 1976 and his Electrical Contractors License in 1981. Bob and Denise launched Kueny Electric, Inc. on May 30, 1982. For 13 years Kueny Electric provided electrical services for new residential and commercial construction. In October 1995 Bob and Denise became the 7th Mr. Electric franchisee of Neighborly Trade Services. DGTS now has companies that focus on all aspects of services for residential homes and many businesses.For 36 years Bob and Denise have strived to provide Central Oklahoma home and business owners with Expert Electrical Service.Bob and Denise live in Norman, Oklahoma where they raised their 5 children and entertain their 13 grandkids. The Kueny's and Mr. Electric are involved in supporting Habitat for Humanity, Food and Shelter, and The Salvation Army. They are members of LifeSpring Church of Norman.

If I could rate them a 0 I would. We purchased a new stove. When it was delivered they told us that our stove was hard wired so they couldn't install the new one. We had Mr. Electric come out and give us an estimate to have it fixed. They unhooked our stove, went out in the garage and came back and said it was going to cost about $800 to fix the problem. We don't have that kind of money so we told them we would let them know. Well, the guy never hooked our stove back up. We called and had them come out the next day, which he did and told us it would be $400.00. But, now only the clock works. They will not come back out and hook it back up right for us.

Granted they came out to give us a quote, but hook our stove back correctly.

Also, we got a quote from someone else to fix it for $140.00

We recently had a circuit breaker trip and cut power to several outlets. We flipped and reset all the breakers in the three electrical panels but this didn't correct the problem. We called Mr Electric. When he came out, their technician check our three electric panels to find the problem. After he was done he said the problem was in the panel made by Zinsco and these panels were serious fire hazards and his company therefore didn't try to fix them. He opened this panel but only made a cursory examination, nothing more. He then said the solution to our issue was an immediate removal of this panel and consolidating all three panels into a new single panel along with other upgrades and this would cost over $11,000. I accepted this and work was to begin the next day. That evening, at my wife's urging, I called and canceled the job in order to get another estimate. Another company came and reset the tripped breaker in the Zinsco panel and corrected the problem. This person said the Zinsco panels didn't constitute an imminent fire hazard and all our existing panels were safe.
I believe Mr Electric tried to scare us into spending thousands for unnecessary work by saying the Zinsco panel was an imminent hazard

Based on the reviews of previous consumers, I decided to use Mr. Electric to install two new outlets. First the ladies that are in charge of booking the appointments are very nice and professional. Second the electrician was courtesy, knowledgeable and professional. Trhe company van that he was using had a small oil drip so he refused to park the van in my driveway to avoid staining my driveway. I appreciated the thoughtfulness. Thirdly I thought that the pricing for the work was just a little on the high side; however, considering all phases of the company I decided it was worth the price. I highly recommend this company.

I usually don't like dealing with home improvement companies but I love Mr. Electric. I have had them out 3 times for various home improvement projects and they were fast, friendly, and reasonably priced. They are also great at cleaning up before they leave.

The women that scheduled my appointment was very friendly! The 2 young men that came to my home were right on time, very professional and respectful! I would definitely recommend this company!
