The electrician did show up the second time & changed out 4 light fixtures, one of which was roughed out . He performed everything in a little over an hour. He was very professional and helpful.
I rescind my previous review , and I have recommended Harris Electric to friends.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! If I could give zero stars, I would. We called Harris electric to get a quote on rewiring some outlets for a kitchen remodel. He said he charges $80/hour for the work. Great! A guy and his son came by to work on the house the next day. They were nice people while they were here, and the son joked that he didn't even work for the company and that he didn't know what he was doing so it appeared he was there for an extra hand/maybe to learn the trade from his dad. We were invoiced $435 for 3 hours of work, and my husband paid it without looking carefully at the itemized receipt (our biggest mistake). After realizing he charged us $130/hour as opposed to the $80/hour that we agreed on, we called Gary (the owner) to ask for our $150 back as we were told it would be $50 less per hour than we were charged. He immediately became  loud and rude saying that we were paying $80 PER MAN (which was never told to us) and that he was actually giving us A DEAL by only charging us $50 for the second man (ha!). Remember, the second man being the son who apparently didn't actually work there or know what he was doing. AND to top it all off, they did the job incorrectly so we had to spend the next day rewiring their work so we could actually have power to the outlets needed. We've called Gary multiple times asking for our money back, and each time he's cussed and yelled at us and ends the conversation with hanging up on us. Save your money, time, and sanity by going with literally any other electrician you can find.

He did work in my niece's house and did a very bad job. She had to hire someone else to perform the same job she paid Harris Electric to do. Can't give you a real detailed quote in writing.
Stay away from him.

Mr Harris arrived at my house promising that he will beat all the competition out there. His price to put LED in the whole light was 20000dollars for about 14 lights. I expressed to him repeatedly that I could not afford more than that. I agreed to let him put the lights for the 2000 dollars. He sent two of his guys. Then he told me that to help me more, he will charge me 10 per hours plus material. They told me they should be done in a day, at most two days. On the first day, both guys started working, one left around noon for another job. The second day, only one guy worked until 3 pm. The last day, one guy came and stay for less than 2 hrs. Total hrs at my house was 14 hrs. On the last day, I noticed that the guy that came from two hrs removed my chandelier from my dining room to put an LED instead.
Mr Harris brought me a bill of 4000 dollars . I told him that we never agreed to that. He started almost begging that I pay him the extra 2000 dollars. I quickly realized that he was in need of money and refused to pay. So he stopped begging and treathened me to pay or else. He told me to sign the agreement to pay or he will be back. He told me that for my chandelier, I requested it to be that way. I refused to pay. I was alone in the house, I signed a paper and asked him to leave. I never took his calls again. He took me to court. The judge asked me to give him 600 dollars over 6 months. I guess he was not very happy. Well I was. He reported to my credit 1000 dollars debts.
Although the money part did not affect my life. I learned that Mr Harris was NOT a man of his words. He claimed in front of the judge that his  employees worked the whole time together.
That man is an ugly old man. He appeared nice. But I learned my lesson. Never trust old men again and from now on, if there is no written agreement, there will be no job.
Honestly, Do NOT trust Harris Electric.

We were remodeling our kitchen in May 2018 and needed some plugs put in. Harris Electric sent Lance out, who found some additional problems/fire hazards from the previous owners, and we agreed to have him fix it for an additional charge. Now we are selling the house and had the house inspected. All the additional work Lance supposedly fixed failed the inspection, is still a fire hazard and is not up to code. When I called Harris Electric and spoke to the owner, he said since Lance no longer works there and they don't know what he did, that it's not their responsibility to fix anything. The response was, I am not working for free to fix something from this guy who no longer works for us and I don't have records for this work. It's in a box somewhere, I don't know, before eventually hanging up on me. So apparently I paid $1300 for nothing and now have to pay to fix it again, Use Harris Electric at your own peril.

Hired Gary to install 8 canned lights in our living room. The only reason they're getting 1 stars is because the lights they installed actually worked. Extremely sloppy work though- the workers left a hole in my ceiling, sharpie marks on the ceiling, and finger prints on the ceiling. It took me two hours to clean up the mess the contractors had made after they left. I called Gary (the owner) after they left and had seen the damage to the ceiling. The hole was big enough where it needed new drywall but Gary claimed that it didn't, and he didn't know a drywall guy. (How are you an electrician for 30+ years and don't know a drywall guy??) he came over and patched it and matched the paint at least. He used hairspray to get off the sharpie and it looks 10 times worse. My husband and I are sick of calling him because Gary won't make appointment times, he'll just call you when he's available and you're expected to leave work when he's available. We'll just fix it on our own.
