HISTORY

Established in 1961.irco Service Inc. was founded in 1961 by John R. and Louise Boyce with John R. running service and Louise answering the phone. Today Airco has grown to over 95 quality employees; Airco didn't grow to this size over night. In 1976 Airco began its growth with the entry of their two sons John C. and Tom full time into the business. With hard work, quality service and determination Airco began a very slow and painstaking course to provide the best service available and the best equipment at a reasonable price. This attitude in business along with pride in workmanship has allowed Airco Service to grow, to the largest service fleet in Oklahoma. Airco Service has been voted Best Service Company in Tulsa 2001 - 2012 and is available 24 hours a day 365 days a year. These values in business have allowed Airco Service to received recognition and awards from industry associations, tech schools, suppliers and manufactures for commitment to industry and customers.

We needed a replacement water heater immediately. AirCo reps quickly and professionally led us through all of the options.

Installation was done quickly, and all work was done to our satisfaction. They even came back to assist us with our new system free of charge.

We will be switching all of our future needs to services AirCo provides.

Thank you AirCo!

They installed 2 Humidifiers in our house, over 7k.  They forgot to hook up the drain hoses on one of the units that allowed water damage, then charged $175 to come back and hook up the hose they did not connect the first time.

Manager will not call us back. Would highly avoid.

They put freon in ac unit that lasted 3 days and charged 499.00. There was a hole in the coil and they knew there was a hole in the coil and put the Freon in it anyway. So I'm out 499.99 and they are not willing to even consider some kind of resolution. I am a senior citizen and live on a very limited budget.

Called out for air conditioning drainage issue. Got someone to show up that day...thought this is going great so far.

He shows up and takes forever to come up with a plan but finally gets started doing something. Cleans out the drain so we can get off the water hose to the driveway solution.

He puts us all back together and then states we now have a bad control panel! Umm...you came for drain issue not an actual AC problem!!! $713 control panel WTF??? Shady shady shady. He says he has to find one then comes in 10 minutes later I have one on my truck WOW

Let them do what he had to do cause we have a home warranty, but these guys are SHADY as F@ck be aware!!!

Oh the drain is leaking water again now 4 days later...geez

First the good.  The people a friendly and reasonably responsive.  But the reason I am giving them a 2 is because of the costs.  I have an older home and had Airco replace the central heating and a/c units.  I purchased a top of the line Lenox for $16,000.  In the first 5 years I've had to have them out multiple times.  I signed up for the maintenance plan at $245/year.  I was told that if I did that the parts and labor are covered under warranty.  I still have to pay $70 for each trip even if it is covered by warranty.  If it's not warranty then it $199 plus.  Most recently they're having to replace the cooling coil because of a leak.  The part is covered under warranty, however, I have to pay nearly $1000 for the Freon.  I'm not sure if Lenox has just gone down hill or what.  But I definitely do not recommend getting one.  Save your money and get a Carrier.

Airco completely tore up our bathroom and left us to fend for ourselves to get mold and tile work completed.  I do not recommend anyone use this company.  I'm surprised they're still in business.

Had AIRCO replace 2 HVAC systems after getting 4 bids.  Not the highest, but not the lowest.  Found Drakes explanations of the work, options and the detailed quote very acceptable.
Gents who came to do the work were quick, professional, clean and efficient.
System have been operating well in both heat and cold for 10 months.
Very satisfied and highly recommended.

Airco tried to repair my air conditioning unit across three different visits to my house and at a cost of nearly $1,200. I was still left with no A/C for a week. Another company came out and correctly fixed it in an hour for $300. Airco also charged me almost $200/piece for fuses that evidently cost $15.  The other company also had to correct some parts that were incorrectly installed. I can't see that they're worth being hired by anyone with A/C problems.

Scheduled an appointment for a Monday on a Friday, they came out to assess on Monday and scheduled us for repairs on Thursday. We called at least 3 times on Thursday (3:30, 6:15, and 8:15) to confirm that we were still on the schedule and we're told yes each time. We finally got a call from a technician at 8:45 to let us know that there'd been a mix-up on their end and they would not be there that night and made minimal effort to come out the next day.

The kicker is that we're pregnant, our due date IS TOMORROW. No, we don't want to wait until next week when we have a newborn in the house, or have to continuously reschedule around being in labor.

So I needed a new hot water tank.  I went to Lowes to see what they had and they offer 'installation' - which just leads to an interaction with Airco.

The rep. flat out lied to me telling me they would have to replace the exhaust vent all the way to the ceiling because it was 'single wall' pipe.  The vent pipe was already double-walled.

Their $2,900 estimate for an installed new hot water tank was absurd.

I didn't want to install one myself (I'm 60), but those prices were highway robbery.

I managed to buy a tank from Lowes (with a 12 year warranty), brought it home, and installed it for WELL under $1,000 total.  The wife is really happy we didn't have to shell-out $2,900 for the job.

Trust is important.  I cannot recommend Airco for anything.

This company is Horrible!!! Do not hire them!! My neighbor behind me needed work done on a pipe. I woke up finding airco taking down my fence and digging in my yard. They then told me they needed to attach his pipe to the main. Well, they proceeded to dig up 10 feet of dirt and place that mound in the middle of my yard. Then it rained for days. When they came to cover the whole their back hoe got stuck and the guy ended up digging up 1/3 of my yard. It's almost to my patio. Now I have a huge low area collecting rain on the sod I had to fight them for. They are refusing to level the area and re Sod. I shouldn't have to be out any money. I didn't destroy my yard, they did!!!

They came out within the agreed upon timeframe. Javier the representative was very nice. But the quote was incredibly expensive. 1/3 more expensive than 2 other quotes. It was hard to tell where the added cost came from because the quote just listed what was required and did not have itemized pricing. Which felt very unethical with the substantially higher cost. All other quotes from other companies were detailed with itemized costs. And after completion actually charged me even less because they finished faster than quoted. Get more than one quote always. They also charge $99 for a quote. No one else did that.

Blake was awesome, as was the entire experience. Came out in a Saturday, quote was actually a little more than what we ended up paying. Very professional and a great overall experience. Thanks AirCo

Our toilet drain line had a blockage in it and my wife called Airco to come snake the line. I should have done it myself but didn't have the time to do it due to working long hours. Some tech named Charlie supposedly snaked the sewer line 65 feet, which is total b.s.  Blockage was between the bathtub and the toilet. The snake is run through the vent pipe up on the roof and that is about 15 feet to get to the toilet drain. There was mud coming up in the bathtub which means there is a break in the old cast iron pipe and dirt is coming in the sewer line. The tech said there wasn't mud in the tub. Liar, I have pictures. He charged us $400 for the service and replacing the wax ring under the toilet. Less than a week went by and the toilet was blocked again. I called several people from Airco and finally got another tech to come out. I met him at my house ame after a little investigation he agreed with my findings ( you can't b.s. me on stuff like this, I am a commercial/residential  remodeler plus I do maintenance on 22 houses as well. I have repaired many sewer lines)  I asked him why the tech didn't run a sewer camera, which would let you know that the blockage had been removed. He said that would be an additional $ 400 and he would have to get one from the other techs since they have to share the camera!  Cameras are $400 to buy from Amazon! There should be one on every truck. I had him leave because he wanted to charge me again for a job that wasn't done right to begin with.I wasn't going to pay more money to these thieving bastards. I fixed the line myself and haven't had any issues since!  These service guys prey on women and the elderly because they can bs them out their pocketbooks. Stay away from these crooks!!!

I called late Saturday afternoon with a furnace problem and Duane was at my house early Sunday morning to fix the problem.  The timing was perfect as we are expecting an Arctic cold front to move in tonight.  Duane was amazing, very professional, knowledgeable and thorough assessing the problem.  He took the time to explain how our furnace worked, as it is 33 years old and no longer available.  He even explained what caused the problem and showed me how to fix it myself if it happens again.  At no time did he even mention buying a new unit. I was also pleased he was wearing a mask and followed Covid-19 precautions.  I will definitely call them again and request Duane.  I'd give him 10 stars if I could.

I called them at 8 am on a Friday for an AC unit that stopped working the night before. I was told emergency service will be on Sunday for double charge, or regular service next week. I told them it's not working now and their website says same day service he said not when its 99 degrees out. Apparently they only honor their promises in the winter when AC units don't break. Promises made, promises broken. Find another place, which I did.

Our furnace stopped working and we called Airco for help. Repairman said that the control board was bad and that it would need to be replaced.
He then spent most of his time trying to convince me to replace the whole system, rather than fixing it. Our system isn't new, but it isn't exactly old and falling apart, either. We've had very few issues with it but he didn't want to hear this at all. Despite my repeatedly stating that this was the only major problem we've had and finally stating that a new system was just not going to be in our budget for at least a few more years, he continued to fearmonger that it was probably not just the control board and that we really need to just replace the whole system. What he based this on, I have no idea.

We agreed to just do the control board replacement and were given a quote of over $600. The reason for this price, we were told, was the high cost of the part. I did a quick search on my own and found a brand new control board for $50 on Amazon from a 5-star marketplace seller. I then declined service from Airco, paid for the estimate and resolved to fix the furnace myself.

We ended up installing the part ourselves in a little under 30 minutes and now the system is working perfectly, with no other issues at all. Total cost - $79 for the diagnosis, $50 for the part, 30 minutes of effort. Unbelievable that anyone would think it acceptable to charge over $600 for that service. I realize the cost of labor is high, but come on!

Never, ever, ever calling this company again. They are far more interested in selling new systems than in servicing older ones.

For the record - our heating system is 16 years old and is a model that typically lasts 20-30 years, with proper maintenance, which ours gets.

Update: Austin from AirCo called me after seeing this review to attempt to harass me into taking this review down. He was very condescending and would not address the issue of the inflated repair estimate, just deflected over and over again to the supposed poor condition of the unit.

They were professional on the phone, pleasant and competent when they performed the job. I'm aware of the vendor cost for parts, but also realize that a company has overhead and the right to make a profit. They quoted the price and did the job.

We purchased two systems from this company in 2013. We have had over 15 emergency service calls for one of the systems not working and the issues have never been remedied. Despite multiple attempts to discuss solutions, there is no effort from the ownership or management to remedy the situation.
We spent a great deal of money on this faulty unit and continue to purchase an expensive maintenance program each year to prevent voiding the warranty. I would never want anyone to experience the issues we have had. We have lost time out of work while they work on the system. We have also missed the benefit of energy savings due to its frequent breaking/leaking and running continuously, as well as the headache of frequent maintenance calls despite being a new unit.

From the estimate to installment our team from Airco was amazing! Drake walked us through each part of the estimate and gave us an idea of what we needed! He was never pushy or made us feel pressured! He was very personable and even answered questions we had after normal business hours! He is one of the best! He is very dedicated in making your experience and home both full of comfort! (Make sure you ask for Drake)

Our installment was schedule very quickly, which thank goodness because it's starting to get hot outside! The team showed up properly and we very professional! They worked very hard on both days they were installing, the heat was hard on them all! I was so happy with the service they did for us! Even with little problems that came up they were quick to find a solution! I even had an emergency and had to leave the house for a few hours and I trusted the team completely to leave them alone in the house. Casey was our service pro and he stayed and worked hard after hours to make sure the job was done right! They spent a good amount of time explaining how everything worked and I was glad to know it all!

Drake followed up the next day to see how we were enjoying our new cool house! They treated us wonderfully!

Ac are super expensive now days, I strongly recommend going with a bigger company that has a great rep! The warranties and products speak for themselves! I know I rather have a name brand Lennox brand with 10 year warranty then some off brand that only has a 1 year warranty! We had cheaper bids but at the end of the day we know we made the right decision. Our new system will last us a long time. We look forward to Airco coming out and servicing our unit for free!  You get what you pay for, so make sure to do it right!

They even have 0 percent financing for 60 months! This made our decision easy!

Thank you Drake! Thank you Casey and your team! And thank you Airco for making us a happy comfortable home again!

My wife called me during the day telling me that water was coming from the closet that houses our hot water tank.  Based on what my wife described seemed like a hot water heater issue.  Called Airco and they sent out a salesman/ estimator.  He looked at the situation and emailed me a quote for a $3100 hot water replacement.  Seemed a little high so I called a plumber I had used in the past for a quote and assessment.   He determined the hot water heater didn't need to be replaced. We had a clogged up sewer line and suggested a contractor that specializes in that area.   For $140 the problem was solved

These plumbers that send out salesman/estimator are not qualified to assess the problem and are not capable of making the repairs.   Just trying to make buck.

Response to Austin B.    I called, not my wife to have someone look at the leak I. The closet that houses our hot water tank.    When you employee called me I didn't know what the situation was and didn't know he wouldn't be able to determine if it was repairable or if the tank needed to be replaced.   If as you say in your response it was something that could be repaired, why didn't your estimator also suggest we schedule a service call to have the repairs maybe     He told my wife that due to sediment build up he suggested the tank to be replaced.  I asked the cost and sent the quote.   He was trying to sell a tank !!  If it was something that he wasn't able to determine the correct solution he should have called for help !!   Why would I want a quote for a new tank if a service call would have solved the problem.  As I mentioned above the problem was solved not by repairs to the tank but by having our line cleared.   I will continue to warn others and tell them about my experience with your company

Great service technicians! Tyler, Shawn, Taylor, & Bryce were very courteous and very friendly.  They did everything I asked of them with a great attitude and willingness. Tyler was very knowledgeable and discussed every obstacle we encountered with me and options on how to solve the issues. The guys worked very hard each day while at my house. I have a 100 plus year old house that required lots of retro fitting of ductwork and equipment. Rick that did the job estimate was also very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful throughout the entire process too. I can't say enough good things about my experience with this company. I highly recommend them. Thanks to everyone that worked on my job.

I purchased a maintenance agreement last year.  When they came out for my heating unit maintenance the guy(a) who they sent was obviously looking to sell me a new unit rather than service my existing unit.  He (a) fumbled around for a while, not really doing anything then he came in and said that he couldn't do the maintenance.   He called another guy(b), (the salesman) to come over and pitch me.  While waiting on this other guy(b) to arrive, he(a) went to my unit and disconnected the natural gas and unplugged the unit.  Then he(a) came and told me he was going to have to shut it down for a carbon monoxide leak.  The other guy(b) arrived to backup his(a) decision and then pressure me into buying another unit.  I advised them both that I was not interested in a new unit.  They kept hemming and hawing around, I guess trying to figure out why their well planned sales pitch wasn't working on me.  Finally, I told them I'll walk you to the door and had to get behind them and move them to the door.  LOL, I guess they just liked being around me and didn't want to leave (sarcasm).  By the way, I have a carbon monoxide alarm (new) and it had not gone off.  I called and reported the incident and asked for a refund...(yeah, right).  Several days later the office lady called back and said they don't do refunds but would work something out on a new unit.  I happily told her I had already purchased a new unit.  LOL, but still NoRefund.

Beware of their tech named Juan. I needed them to come out and put some PVC pipe on the drainage pipe because it was creating a huge puddle next to my house. They said they would send a tech out either Monday or Tuesday and it didn't matter if anyone was home or not because he didn't need to come in the house.  I woke up Monday morning to a text from my neighbor letting me know there was an A/C man at my house looking through my mailbox and trying to get in my front door. Just as a finished reading the text my daughters ran in my room saying a man was in our house. I ran out there and he had come in through the back door and was shocked to see my kids home. We called the company and they said they would take care of it. When he was finished, he came to the front door and apologized. He said I didn't think anyone was home, I should have knocked first  ..... If he thought no one was home then why was he in MY house?  My landlord called the company this morning to let them know that was not okay and that Juan is not allowed to work on any more of her houses. They told her that Juan said he did not enter my home and that I was lying. They told her that he has been with him for over 20 years and they have no reason not to trust him.  I sent them a screen shot of the text that my neighbor sent and I have yet to hear anything back.

Horrible service. They didn't show up when they said they would and didn't bother to call to let us know. When I called to see what happened they said they would look into it and call me back. I never received a call back. When they do show up they take their time, joke around and only get the bare minimum done. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.
