Advent Heat Air, Plumbing & Electric

Called them out because my A/C was blowing hot air. They arrived very quickly, evaluated my system and said it needed some freon added.

I did have an issue with the technician and felt like he was trying to pressure me into buying an expensive system when I didn't need one. He was very persistent having not even looked at my system. I didn't write a bad review on them at the time and instead decided to just not use this company again because there are many to choose from.

Two years later I mentioned this fact to someone and the owner of Advent heard I had had an issue and he contacted me directly to get the details. He was extremely concerned and explained that he did have a problem employee at the time who was now no longer with the company and he did everything in his power to ensure I was a happy customer. TWO YEARS later, the owner took my complaint personally and cared enough to do whatever it took to fix it.

I can say for a fact that the owner cares about his customers and his honesty and integrity cannot be impeached. He's an honest man who runs an honest business and he puts his customers' satisfaction even before company profits.

I know I can trust this company with my HVAC and plumbing needs. I am fully confident that Advent does great work at the fairest price possible and they put their customers first.

Very poor customer service. They don't value their customers time. They were much better when they first opened. Not sure what happened. They use to be my first call when things went wrong, but they have lost a customer. Word of mouth can make or break a business.

Was sure our hot water tank was out because it was not heating, Technician even thought it  had gone out or it was switch ,Tried to get us to buy  a new hot water tank for 2 thousand or we could put a new  switch for 770. He came out twice once to check it out ,next day to put it on come to find out we was only out of propane, We sure felt bad we had not checked it first, Guess our service man being a professional and all sure didn't know!!, charged us for parts, service calls. that was fine! But didn't feel 570.00 was fair for nothing what so ever wrong with it ! Thank God we didn't do the 2.000 for new tank.

Paid to have a new Carrier heatpump heat and air system installed. it did not work properly. Advent came back twice and changed out the compresser, made numerous adjustments to different parts of the system and after over a month, we still have no air and only have heat on the emergency setting ad the fan still squalls.  We were told 4 weeks ago that he system would be replaced.  We are still waiting and waiting. Hard to believe there has not been a new system available in over a month. We will be contacting Carrier about the problem of availability. We should either have a new unit or a refund of $6,000.00+ that we paid for a system that does not work.

Don't even bother.  We have dealt with this company three times now, and won't try again.  The first two were plumbing issues where they tried to sell us on redoing our piping instead of fixing the issue.  The final straw was last night, we called for AC repair.  The worker comes out, takes five minutes and tells us our coolant is empty, we must have a leak and probably just need to get a whole new system.  We sent him on his way, called another company and found out our coolant was FULL and the issue was a burnt motor.

It could be one or two workers but at long as they work there, don't bother.

Probably not the cheapest option I could've found for A/C repair, but on a hot day in August, I'm not looking for cheap. I'm looking for quick and dependable.

I found them on Angie's List, where they have a lot of very good reviews (they're one of the top 2 in Oklahoma City for HVAC). They answered the phone very quickly, said they would call back as soon as they knew when they could have someone out. Within 90 minutes they were directing one of their techs to our residence.

The tech worked very quickly to resolve our issue, and he was very polite and professional.

I always call Advent.  I'm a disabled Veteran and they are always Professional and polite.  I have a disability but the technitions are very understanding and fast.  I bought new heat. Air and hot water heater.  Outstanding service. Prices are very reasonable compared 2 others I called.

I have used Advent in the past two times when repairing and replacing HVAC for my personal home and had great service. I called last week to inquire of a price for service and was told they would call back. I called again this week, and they responded the technician did not have time do to the job. I explained I told them last week this task did not need to be done until August, and I was shocked they would tell customers they do not have time for them, when this was going to be a scheduled time several weeks away. Guess I have to find a new place go do business with for me and my clients that I refer.

These guys are great! When our air conditioner broke, they came out the same day to assess, and had a new one in the next day. They are polite and efficient, and they cleaned up every speck of packing materials, etc. They also installed new furnace in attic. He found old one was just sitting on 2 two-by-fours on the studs. He took the time to build a sturdy platform and did not charge extra. We have used Advent in the past in our old house and now in the new one in Shawnee, OK. I am looking forward to using them every time we have a problem in the future!

Had them install brand new heat and air conditioner unit never did work wrong after having them out on 5 different times then when I called they acted mad at me cause I was upset about my unit not working.

Called to schedule. Was told the next appt was a week and a half away. Went ahead and booked for it...and they no-showed. No call. No nothing.

The central heat and air unit had been leaking from the overflow pipe into the garage. My husband had tried numerous occasions to fix it himself without any luck. I decided it was time to have a professional come out and look at it. I found Advent on Yelp, called them that afternoon. They came out a few hours later. Problem was solved AND fixed before the evening was up.

Their customer service was superb. Both the person who answered the initial call and the service rep were very friendly and thorough. I will be calling Advent in the future for all my heat and air problems.

My heater wouldn't come on in the morning per the programmed thermostat, so I woke up to a cold house.  I called Advent and they came out and made an adjustment to my furnace valve.  Lasted 3 days and the same thing happened.  Called Advent and they had to replace the valve.  Not how I wanted to spend my money, BUT it has worked ever since and I wake up to a warm house.  I would recommend!

I've dealt with this company sever times over the past couple years. Every time had been a disappointment. They almost hold a monopoly in the Newalla area because they are a larger company and able to make quick calls. They are rude and money hungry.
Our first time dealing with them was for busted plumbing in the middle of a freeze. It took the guy 5 mins to fix it but it cost over $200. I learned to do simple plumbing myself just so I wouldn't go broke trying to get any help from them.
The second time was last summer '16. Our AC died on the hottest day in august. They came out, said they don't make the freon that our AC required anymore. Said it was illegal for them to even touch it and it needed to be replaced. They could do it that day but we needed to have check in hand by the end of the job. It was over 6k and they wanted to charge another financing fee of $300. We went through our bank to finance it.
Now to current day. Our brand new AC doesn't work. They told my husband that if we don't have thier money grubbing company come check it beginning of summer and beginning of winter, we void our warranty. It's $50 everytime they come out. We called them because our brand new AC quit working exactly a yr after install. It just blows hot air. Rude secretary wouldn't give a quote for anything or provide any insight. The technician said he fixed it, told my husband there was a tube that need to have air pushed though to clear out the dirt in the unit. It's a 1 yr old unit. It shouldn't just quit. They charged us the $50 and the AC still doesn't work. I bet if when we have to call them back, instead of being an honest company, they will try to charge us again to do nothing.
I've hated every experience with this company. Poor customer service skills and super over inflated prices. Don't use unless you have deep pockets and desperate needs.

Told them low on freon need a leak check. Unplugged unit said be back tomarrow in had to call next day.  New tech came out said your low on freon.  I had a jug of freon asked if he could use it he said call you back.  Hung up with me asked my office manager for 49.00 and left.  So no service, no solution, and no respect.  Used them for years never again they getting to big to be trusted I guess

Very very very bad customer service, they will fight with a frustrated customer who lost money because of their sloppy job. Will never use them in the future.

The service employees are very nice and helpful, great customer service.  I got what I needed done in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. I will definitely use Advent again.

I will never call this so called plumbing company again! Had a water line break under my house and the so called plumber crawled under the house and crawled right back out and said he couldn't do anything for me until I tore the floor out of my bathroom! Then he handed me a ticket for $127.00. He didn't fix anything!!! This company is a rip off and should be ran out of business!!!! By the way I called another plumber that crawled under the house and fixed the water line in less than an hour and charged $145.00 parts and labor.

Never ever used this company ! They are a rip off ! Low customer service and overly priced ! They will charge a fortune even to install a small hand wash sink !

BEWARE!!!  This company is a ripoff.  We paid $695.00 for what amounted to two hours of work and parts that retail for $74.00.  They don't itemize, apparently because they want to keep their exaggerated profit margins hidden.  On BBB site, this business claims they follow a national fee schedule and then commented about all their business related costs.  We had service on a Friday afternoon, but the business' response to poor review said it was a Saturday (maybe to justify the exaggerated fee by hinting it was a weekend call?).  Anyhow, the business does not pay income taxes on their costs since they write costs off to determine net income.  But for all of us working folks who are employees, we DO pay income taxes on gross (and not net).  Just a word to the wise...I won't deal with this business again.

Do not pay attention to where their website says Free anything.  It might be free if they end up doing any work for you, but otherwise they will charge you $50 for nothing.  I called and told the dispatcher my issue and asked if someone could come out same day and they actually had someone there within a couple hours...great.  Once he was there in person and figured out they weren't qualified to do the repair they tell my wife it will be $50.  Website clearly states Free Second Opinions.  When I called to tell them that I believed they were misleading the public with the advertisement and that I didn't feel I owed them anything I was told if I stopped payment on the check they would see me in court and was rudely hung up on.  Really??  Great customer service there guys.  And yes, I may be only one person, but I can guarantee you I will tell everyone I know or overhear needing heat/air/plumbing help to definitely not use this company.

When I moved to the Midwest City area, a coworker suggested I call Advent for a minor plumbing issue.  After that initial experience, I later had Advent install a new heat and air system in our home. Then, I called them for a new hot water tank.  I used Advent a few more times for various other plumbing fixes - with one home and again with another home after I moved. Each time, the technicians were courteous, fast, and respectful towards me and of my property. When I initially moved from the Midwest City area, I called around for a plumbing problem, but ended up going right back to Advent because I trusted the company. Advent has been professional, fast, and has continuously offered reasonable, competitive pricing. Honestly, reading these one-star reviews was shocking to me and completely inconsistent with my repeated experience with this company.  Now, after 7 years in the Mid-Del area, I actually refer to Advent as my plumbers.

I was charged $195.00 for nothing. The tech man did not even look for the main water line to see if it was frozen.He wasted one and half hour heating up the plumbing closet in the garage. Only then did he see the main water line a foot behind him. It went to the attic so he stopped and said it had to be frozen in the attic. He did not go up there. He charged me saying nothing he could do. I found the main line in the attic well insulated heavily and followed down through the ceiling and down the inside wall of the garage where it goes through the cement floor and out side. That pipe is encased in heavy weather resistant material and could not have froze up. The attic was no colder then the garage itself and the liquid in the garage had not frozen. I feel Advent were not at all professional and did not know his job as a professional. I got nothing for the waist of money paid. Had I checked their rating first,I would not have called them and will never use them again. I will not recommend to any one ever. The tech even walked off with my property when he had to of known he only got one out of his truck as that was all he had I assume. At least after three days of calling I got it back. Lessen learned. Check ratings first.This is a rip off company and lack professionalism and common courtesy and very over priced at 125 per hour.

over priced rip offs.  350 dollars to find gas leak that took him four minutes to find.  600 dollars more to fix leak.  15 minutes.  950 dollars for 25 minutes work, wow wish I made that much.  not up front with their pricing.  free estimates are not free, unless you call fifty dollars free. turned off gas valve under house even though the gas was completely turned off.  was told gas company would turn valve back on even though something they should have turned back on.  called gas company they said no the company that fixed the gas leak should have turned it back on it is not the gas company's responsibility.  called company back told yes should have turned valve back  on.  they offered to send someone out to do what should have already been done.  they were nice enough to only charge another fifty dollars.  shoddy work, overpriced, do not do what they say they will and charge you more even to do something they should have done to begin with.  do not use this company unless you like being ripped off.

I have to say I don't recommend this company to my friend or anyone I know or even a stranger.  First of all, the receptionist is very rude and disrespectful.  She raises her voice and gets snappy.  After a work was done, my bathroom sink was full of trash and the floor was a mess.  When it started to leak again, I requested another plumber to come and fix it.  They sent me the same incompetent tech to fixed it, so I called them back and asked why.  They said their company policy is to send the same tech to fix it.  I insisted on sending someone else or at least send someone to supervise him so the job would get done properly this time, but what they told me was if I didn't accept the same tech, I needed to call other plumber.  They even wouldn't consider to send someone to supervise at all.  No apology, no respect, no empathy, no flexibility.  I had something else done by this company, and they used outdated parts that fell apart when I had other plumber come and fixed it.  I'm not sure if they didn't know the part was outdated or used it knowingly.  I had to have bigger job done only a month or so after I had them work on my plumbing.  I don't really believe that they checked and see what I really needed done at that time although I paid them substantial amount of money.  Why can I tell?  It's because I watched while the other plumber work and saw what he found.  That wouldn't have happened in such a short period of time.  No honesty.  I' trying to think very hard to say anything good about this business, but I simply can't.  Not to mention, the price is higher than any other plumbing company I have ever dealt with in the past.
