If you want and expect great customer service then it's appropriate to recognize when it occurs. Roto Rooter that services Parma Hts. Ohio deserves kudos for its exceptional service. We had the pleasure of working with Michael Blevins, technician and Burt Urbano, manager of our local Roto Rooter. Michael is so good at his job....He diagnosed and resolved a problem we had in short order and then addressed another potential problem before it became an emergency. I also has the opportunity to talk with Burt who  works with customers in making sure they receive world class service. He was exceptional! I couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience with these two individuals. I will definitely call them for any of my plumbing needs in the future.

Ben arrived within the promised time and was professional from beginning to end. He was here for several hours. He was able to solve our problem and gave us useful information on how to avoid the problem in the future. We highly recommend Roto-Rooter.

This company price gouges. And will send you to collections for 3 times the amount you owe.

I had a plugged toilet. I called two other plumbers that my landlady had told me about, and got voice mail. Feeling desperate, I googled Cleveland, OH plumbers and chose Roto-Rooter. They answered immediately, and Tim #2024, a polite and efficient plumber, arrived within an hour. He fixed the problem in no time. Color me thrilled.

Called this morning for a slightly leaky faucet. Larry was at my house in under two hours from my first call! He didn't have the wrench he needed to rebuild the bath faucet, so he went out to Home Depot to get it and was back promptly. The job was done well, and he walked me through each step as he was doing it. Great service at a fair price!

My sump pump stopped working and we spent all night intermittently, like every 1.5 hrs, going down in the basement and turning on a submersible pump to keep the water level down.  Roto rooter's ad on the computer stated they did not charge extra for emergency. I called in the a.m and they said they could come out within 3 hours. As they claimed, they arrived on time as promised. The work was good, no complaints. The pump which we purchased was little more than I could have gotten it for at home depot.  My only complaint was the cost. The cost was around $800.00 for work and supplies ( the pump). By coincidence my daughter had the same problem just 1 day after I did. She paid half the amount I did ($365.00). The only difference was the pump ( same make smaller model) I checked the cost of the pump she purchased. At best it was $100.00 cheaper than mine so how does that justify twice the cost. It does not. Oh she lives 30 minutes from me so same price ranges in service. I wont be using roto rooter again. The technician specifically asked for a check . Dont know why.

We enjoyed our professional services from supervisor Joe Zinski (#1702)  today. He helped with our water tank valve and toilet overflow. As well as sanitation and clean up. He has exceptional customer service experience and was completely knowledgeable about everything. He was clear and factual and broke everything down to us in a easy to understand fashion. I appreciate how quickly they came in such a panicky situation. Thank you rotorooter! You guys were the first people I even considered because of your jingle and commercials and everyone always recommends you just as we do now! I will always call rotorooter if we ever need these services again

**Editing my review from 4 stars to 1 star. This is the worst company I have ever hired to do work.
I originally called Roto-Rooter because I heard that they respond quickly. Imagine my delight when I called the morning I needed service, and they came out within the hour! Should have known it was too good to be true.
The problem was that my kitchen ceiling was leaking from the bathtub upstairs. After 2 hours of inspecting it, they found out it was because my pipes were corroded. I paid the plumber $1000 to fix the pipes. The service wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible. I was just angry that it took the plumber from 12pm to almost 5pm to fix the pipes. I tried not to be mad because I am NOT a plumber, so I do not know how long those things take. It was kind of strange that the plumber kept asking me for help to fix the pipes. I didn't mind helping, it's just when you pay someone $1000 (Parts were about $100 btw, so we're talking $900 in labor) to fix a problem, I don't really expect to have to lift a finger.
While the plumber was fixing the pipes, another crew was ripping apart my ceiling and hooking up a dehumidifier and a fan to get rid of any access water or mold. I was talked into filing an insurance claim, and after the adjuster came out, I found my deductible was more than the work to repair the ceiling. This shady company just preys on young naive homeowners, and that is so wrong. They knew how much my deductible was because they asked ($1500).
Back to the hole: The crew left and left a mess. The guy who was supposed to be checking the humidity and temp of my house the next three days only came once.
Fast forward a week: I get out of the shower and go downstairs. I look up at the hole and what do I see on the plastic tarp covering the hole? A POOL OF WATER. Yepp, I paid $1000, filed a claim, and took off work so that the plumbing could be done poorly and not finished.
I immediately called them to have them fix the issue... they were supposed to come out 8-10am. No one showed up and it was 11am. I get a call that they're behind and can't show up for a couple more hours. I just ended up scheduling them to come at 5pm because I was sick of waiting and had stuff to do.
The plumber finally showed up and first tried to CHARGE ME to FIX the pipes. Ha, yeah right. I argued with him for awhile and he eventually realized that I had a warranty for a year. Again, Roto-Rooter tried to screw me out of more money.
I am not going to be fixing my ceiling for awhile. I do not trust that the leak is fixed, at all. It is better for me to see the leak through a plastic tarp than through a new ceiling.
On top of all this, I STILL have not gotten my bill for the hole in the ceiling. My adjuster told me to talk to Roto Rooter, and I have. But no amount of emails and calls will make them just tell me what my bill is. It will be a large amount of money, so it is really infuriating to not know how much money I have for the next couple months.
This is, hands down, the worst customer service I have EVER received. I can't believe all this has happened. I wish I would have just waited. I will never be using Roto Rooter again. You do not prey on new homeowners. You do not charge a ridiculous amount and not fix the problem. You do not leave a mess. You do neglect to tell the homeowner how much they owe you. Please stay away from Roto-Rooter if you are new to owning a home, they will screw you over.

If I could give zero stars I would. While the employees were super friendly and seemed compassionate...I cannot believe what they put us through. We had overflowing drains in basement, nasty stuff. They snaked it and camera work and told us they need to excavate right away to give us relief, for $4700. So we did it. No relief and they came back at us with a $18,000 quote!!! After digging up yard, ruining pipes and no relief! Also said we need to vacate a family of 6, for 3 days!! American plumbing came next day, opened up a hole for relief and will fix problem for $3000!!! And we can stay in our home!! Roto Rooter, smooth criminals!!!

Had a clogged downspout drain, suspected root invasion. Overcharged for an attempted snake clean out and didn't fix the problem. Then they wanted to charge another $130 to scope with a camera. A field supervisor was called but wouldn't respond to my concerns, had to contact a manager who contacted the field supervisor who was extremely rude and put out. He begrudgingly came to me house with a camera (should have been used initially : ( and discovered a cracked drain pipe. Was quoted $1600 to dig it and repair... goodbye.
I'd strongly encourage utilizing a local drain/ sewer company as this company is an ineffective rip off.
